Someone made a joke about the movie Zoolander, and these mad lads decided to say f**k it and created a full length video game based on a pun and I’m here for it. It's like Ori, but with OVN's and cows, brilliant, this is the pinnacle of evolution. One sentence summary: You are a flying saucer crash-landed on a planet with aggressive cows that you must abduct as your technology runs on milk. Holy Hell. This…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sometimes, it’s better to moove on There’s a whole bunch of games out there that never realised their potential, be it from all kinds of mismanagement nonsense or simply being too old. Maybe that’s for the best; let the past stay in the past while people go on to build new and exciting things, not bogged down by trends from four decades ago. Yet, I can’t help but feel like there’s something noble in resurrecting a forgotten concept that not many people care about and giving it a fresh coat of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is why I like indie games - interesting and new. I never thought that I would enjoy fighting with cows but here I am - on my 3rd cow and looking forward to get to the next one!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't play many platformers, but this one I've been following for a while and just had to get, as the game felt unique from the start, and it was clear developers were going to put a ton of love in it. I loved their concept art and their wacky narrative - which for me has been one of the main reasons I had to get it. Too many devs try to make "realistic" games and stories, so this has been a breath of fresh air. I've not played much yet, but the details of this game are incredible. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best indie games that i ever see. I can't explain how i feel when play this game. I can see how the game was created by the team with love and hard work. The music is fantastic, the level design is incredible, the art environment, everything... I didn't see any bugs in the game so far. I wish all best for the team! :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A gorgeous and fun puzzling/platformer shooter with heart that deserves a lot more attention. This game was a very nice surprise as I was expecting it to be moo-re of a gimmick, but the more I played of it I could tell that there was a lot of effort and love poured into this. The best thing about this game is the game and enviroment art. There is obviously inspiration from games like Ori or Rayman and they really added their own flair. Backed up with a fantastic musical score, this game was a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome game! Boss fights are great, combat is great, fighting cows feels cool.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is such a pretty game! I played the demo for it when it was first released and fell in love with it! The story is super interesting, the backgrounds and enemies are so creative, and I enjoy figuring out these puzzles to get through the mazes! I'm still playing through the story but it has been super interesting to see some of these twists and turns and I'm excited to see how it ends!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game! The controls are smooth, the action is amazing and there are a lot of interesting gameplay elements - I like the milk laser specifically. Had some hard cow battles, but this is the challenge that the game offers. 10/10 recommend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like games with various physics mechanics and puzzles, like Ori and the Blind Forest you will probably enjoy this game! It has a good amount of silliness, although a bit too on the nose at times!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Actually I enjoyed this one. It's obvious that a ton of work was put into this. Very polished controls, great narrative and the visuals are stunning.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Moo Lander is a... platformer? I am having a rough time trying to categorize its genre. So, an Action game with Exploration elements is the closest I got. The concept is that instead of uranium, the alien race (Landers) from the game uses milk as an energy source, so naturally, cows are the most valuable resource in the universe. (Just like real life). Although the concept is funny, and most of the dialogue is lighthearted, the game has a somewhat serious story. Basically, everything was…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fun at first but due to extremely clunky controls and unpolished design, it is progressively more and more frustrating to the point where I just gave up halfway through. What is good about the game is the art style and the music. The story is kind of meh and the rest is just bad. The controls feel like it was designed by someone who never held a controller in their life. It is truly atrocious. It tries to be a twin-stick shooter but somehow fails miserably and the controls just…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is very fun with lots of variety for the cow bosses and pretty cool and interesting puzzles to solve and obstacles to overcome. Really enjoy the music as well. Runs and plays great on my Steam Deck too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very fun indie game, enjoyable 2D graphics, puzzles are nice, and it has a very funny campaign. Also has co-op and PVP modes, which is awesome. Definitely recommend for some fun times with friends
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Stepping into Moo Lander, I felt like an adventurous kid, hopping into a flying saucer and embarking on an epic mission to save my planet. The characters are amazing - there’s The Lander, a charismatic ship captain, and his AI partner Hamilton, who adds an extra dose of charm with their entertaining banter. I only wished they were as captivating as the world around me. The core gameplay, controlling a flying saucer equipped with a variety of weapons, was a perfect balance of fun and challenge.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Playing this game made me feel like I didn't drink enough milk. First thing first I never review, the only review i have ever left so far is for Destiny 2 which i have sank more than 3k hours in combined between Blizzard and Steam. What made me want to buy this and write a review was that i learned that the game was developed by an indie studio from my home country. So below are the first hand experiences I got with the game after playing it a few hours from a FPS/looter/MMO shooter gamer…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical when I saw 'Moo Lander' on my Steam recommendations. An indie game involving UFOs and cows seemed almost too outlandish. Boy, was I in for a delightful surprise! I found myself absolutely engrossed in this quirky universe. The gameplay is refreshingly original; flying a saucer, navigating environments, solving puzzles - it had all the elements to keep me hooked. Now, I know combat isn't everything in a game, but the boss fights in Moo Lander are incredibly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Moo Lander is an absolute gem of a game that deserves all the praise it can get! From the moment I launched it, I was instantly captivated by its charming visuals, delightful gameplay, and an incredibly positive atmosphere. First and foremost, the graphics in Moo Lander are breathtaking. The developers have created a stunningly vibrant and detailed universe, filled with colorful biomes, quirky alien creatures, and beautifully rendered celestial landscapes. Every moment spent in this game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Works great on the Steam Deck. I had two times when I needed to restart from last check point, but other than that prety fun game to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →one of the most visually stunning I played. The physics and movements are incredible. I got an Avtaar type feel in the surreal environment. The puzzles are well thought out & intelligent. The art work & level design is also stunning. I highly recommend you to buy this game & experience it yourself.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL:DR - Fun little game that you can beat in a weekend with some nice multiplayer modes. Would recommend! A lovely little game with lots to offer. The campaign is a nice adventure. I recommend playing it on hard. Its a fun experience to go through in the weekend as it takes around 8-9 hours to finish the campaign. Then there's the mootiplayer component that you can play for hours, like the survival mode where you go through waves of mobs with a friend with up to 4 people or Galactic Mooball…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had so much fun playing this game! Super cute! Just challenging enough to keep it interesting without it being too difficult. The graphics are beautiful!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great indie game! I was a bit sceptical at first, but I saw that there is local multiplayer so I wanted to try it with my children and we had a blast! Their favorite mode is the football and they always play with the cows. Definetly worth it if you have joysticks and someone to play with. I haven't played a lot of the singleplayer yet but it looks promising
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At first glance, I was captivated by the brilliant and lush artwork that reminded me of my favorites like Ori and Rayman. But as I played into the game, I realized that this was not just about good graphics, but so much more. The combat is easy to master, with responsive controls and a fascinating array of enemies. It was delightful to note that each weapon has unique strengths against different opponents - my favourite is the Milk Sword 😃 But not everything was perfect. I felt the game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As part of my Steam Sale Haul, I picked up Moo Lander. I do not remember where I first saw the game's name but it had lived on my wish list for the past several months waiting for a sale. My Steam Deck has become my indie/MV gaming device and I like to keep it fed. One sentence summary: You are a flying saucer crash-landed on a planet with aggressive cows that you must abduct as your technology runs on milk. Holy Hell. This game is currently sitting at 14 reviews on Steam which is an…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →+ Art, story, combat system - Linear gameplay, no exploration, all cow bosses have the same attack patterns and are defeated the same way (the only difference are their look and special attack), achievements (finishing the game on hardest difficulty doesn't unlock achievements for lower difficulties, missable achievements, multiplayer)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game with gorgeous graphics and nice feeling mechanics. I really like how the developers created the storyline with interesting task and plot.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Having played Moo Lander through many of its development stages, you can see how much work and care has gone into it. All of the people at the devs have been so passionate and have been a joy to work alongside. Now playing my first official playthrough and it is still surprising me just how beautiful the game is. The game is challenging but having the Story Mode option is perfect, just enough of a challenge but without meaning you are stuck in one place for several hours! Highly recommend Moo…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I get this game with the wrong expectations. Is more like a puzzle game than a metroidvania.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had a lot of fun with Moo Lander. This is a different kind of game than what I'm used to. I play a lot of Metroidvanias, and while this has elements of that genre, I wouldn't categorize it as one. It's more linear, with occasional offshoots, many of which are unfortunately missable. Go in one direction looking for a secret, and you could get locked into the next section of the main track before you know it, so just forge ahead and enjoy the experience. And that's totally fine! My FOMO faded…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Moolander advertises itself having metroidvania elements, which while true is a bit misleading as the game is nearly 100% linear. It's also rather long for a linear game and i found myself a bit bored after a while. Reason being is that platforming gameplay functionally does not exist given the fact that you control a UFO. I'm not too big on twin stick shooters for this reason and moolander did not bring enough creative ideas to the table to make it interesting. You could argue that the quirky…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game i awesome. Desing, music everything. Also the developers know they their job/skills very well. I highly recommend this game. Is worth to take some time and complete it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The music, the story, and the art are great! The local multiplayer is also a nice addition for some challenges with friends, either against waves of enemies, PvP, co-op boss battles, or the Milkball 2v2 game mode, which we've played quite a few times with friends on console.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a metroidvania, not the kind of game I am looking for, but still something I can recommend for those interested in an artsy polished 2D game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Who doesn't want a cow boss fight?! Its a silly game with bright colors. Fun game to waste a few hours on.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My computer ended up not being able to run this game very well but I can still tell it’s an awesome game so I will recommend it 👍
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very stylish game with beautiful art, the bosses are fun to fight, the puzzles are fun, the enemies are annoying yet fun. Just a perfect game to sit back with glass of milk and chill
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very enjoyable game from level design and mechanics to music. The movement in this game is very satisfying and the physics puzzles are very fun to play around with. I love the fact that there is player progression in the game. Being able to unlock abilities and skills is a huge motivator for me. It drives me to engage various enemies instead of just avoid them. My only nit pick is that the bosses can sometimes be a bit hard. They all have this "Moo" attack which pushes me away from them…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game is fun, story is cool. if we could get a skip for the cutscenes after beating one playthrough maybe we can get some speed running categories on speedrun.com maybe an any%, all cows, no upgrades (besides the basics), legendary run ect but all in all hell of a game certainly worth the money if you like to hunt achievements and like mapping out games for speedrunning!
