No ability to change keybindings has also always been a head-scratcher for me, but I'm not a game dev, so I don't know how difficult that may be to implement. Having a lot of choices to build and improve your set is challenging by itself so the game is challenging and not boring. I experienced this at first too, but realized it was Steam loading my controller input template in as "Keyboard and Mouse". This made the game play as if you were using keyboard and mouse and you had to control the mouse pointer using the right stick. After setting my steam input to a controller, the game played much smoother.

I hit up until the first boss on one of the maps and found it really fun. I played solo so far, can't imagine what multiplayer feels like! ... oh and, there are a bunch of things that you will need to learn. Don't be scared to learn, lots to do. But since you have to buy newer maps and the same currency is also used for progression, I either buy new maps and be less prepared and not bored, or bored and more prepared. Progression currency shouldn't be the same as the currency you use to get new maps.
