But it feels more dreamlike than anything, and honestly had a pretty hopeful vibe to it that made me smile when playing it. Ended up becoming one of my favorite platformers. Onirike is a bizarre surrealist fairy tale that takes as much inspiration from Crash Bandicoot as it does from Tim Burton. It’s essentially a 3D platformer that would have…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Onirike has a beautiful world and solid platforming, but the constant narration ruined it. With such a distinguished visual style you should let the world speak for itself.

Here's The Thing: You are Prieto, a silent, absent-minded and enigmatic being who finds himself at a midnight circus in a dreamy place called “The Orb” time and time again. The cycle typically repeats with his memory being lost come the break of dawn. But one night, as if by divine intervention- he explores and greets the others just doing their own…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →‘Onirike’ is a 3D platformer that harkens back to the days of the N64. You play as Prierto a strange being with the ability to become invisible in a world where the line between dreams and reality is blurred. It’s a twisted fairytale reminiscent of Tim Burton stop motion animations, such as ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ and ‘Corpse Bride’. Our hero, Prierto, has been trapped in a loop, waking up each day without memories of anything that has gone before. After helping a clown at the…

Though the art style is very creepy and Tim Burton like in appearance the game itself feels very non-creepy. I love the art style and aesthetic, but found the platforming combined with the death timer between checkpoints to be a bit much. Not for me, but I could definitely see other people really liking this game. So although I personally was not a fan, I *would* recommend this game to those that do enjoy…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A dreamy game, both figuratively & literally, and I went in with the idea to play something like Psychonauts' 'little brother' ... fortunately came out with the same kind of feelings! In terms of game design it's far from perfect and counterintuitive at times, but apart from a few tedious (fetch) quests, it became better the more I progressed, and there were some interesting platforming segments for me, personally. 💮💮💮💮💮💮💮💮/🕙 — Not much is told to the player besides the story, so aim…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The animation is interesting and reminds me of A Nightmare Before Christmas. The music is lovely and the voice acting/narration is solid. The camera is a little swingy and control is taken away from the character quite a lot, at least in the beginning. The world is populated by weird, colorful characters and the tasks are simple enough. Check out the demo first and then pick it up if you like it :D https://youtu.be/_8DXlBklMfU
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game had potential, but the naration spelling everything out to you made it feel like it was specifically targeted at young children(maybe it was, but looking at the game description there wasn't anything hinting at this). I would have loved it if it was a bit more subtle with the story, which would have added a bit more to the spooky atmosphere of the game. I didn't get too far into it, so I can't comment on the story and overall gameplay, but, honestly, the constant naration was enough of…

It's like someone woke up one day and thought, "I wanna make a game that some kid will play and then years later wonder whether it was a real memory or not." And then they made this game. It's like a mix of a claymation children's story and a fever dream, and I'm here for it. While the actual gameplay is not all that deep, the strange set of movement (and…

Explore the colorful, surreal Onirike’s world with the enigmatic Prieto, who becomes invisible away from magical flowers and loses his memory with the day-night cycle. Gameplay: https://youtu.be/DZqPTYsTa_c Onirike is a aesthetically pleasing platforming game through and through, taking heavy inspiration from animated films likes of Tim Burton's Corpse Bride, The Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Onirike has an underlying thought provoking story with a sense of morality. Trivial game elements tie themselves to that purpose - Collecting flowers give you hope, saving your progress helps you keep your memory alive. A must game for all young gamers & breath of fresh air from action-oriented games. The music reminds me of a nursery rhyme set to music. What we as children hear in our early lives, cannot be eradicated later. Orinike's music serves the same purpose making art as a mean of…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →80/100. - Characters and landscape artstyle it's childish while spooky and surreal, it's awesome. - Cute, whimsical and peculiar soundtrack. - Story, wholesome and mysterious, but some characters needed more engagement. - The mechanic of preserve life through checkpoints that you plant all around the map it's exciting if you only collect the checkpoints one time a day in game time, if you grind checkpoints more than one time a day in game time you won't get the survival fee. There's no…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Onirike is a fun little 3d platformer with dreamlike environments, a claymation-like artstyle and a bizarre but intriguing, lovely story. I was honestly surprised by how charming and full of life this game is. It might seem a bit creepy judging from the screenshots alone, but really it's anything but. Instead, Onirike has a really warm and hopeful vibe to it. And sure, gameplay-wise it's janky at times and the narration can be a bit too slow, but I'm really enjoying my time playing. Would…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →We are facing a very risky bet for a 3D platform. A game that takes place in a very special world, an author's universe. Despite the fact that the genre is in decline, save for honorable exceptions, Onirike dares to innovate and introduce new mechanics that surprisingly work very well. The pace of the game is slow, it does not urge the player to run but to enjoy the experience, to discover new strange characters that accompany the protagonist during the adventure. It should be noted that the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Onirike, developed and published by DevilishGames, is a surreal 3D platformer that blends dreamlike exploration with light stealth and survival mechanics, all wrapped in an aesthetic that feels equal parts eerie, whimsical, and otherworldly. It follows the strange and fragile figure of Prieto, a being who has no memory of his origin and lives in an endless loop within a distorted dream world. The game frames his journey as a search for truth—one that requires gathering key fragments scattered…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is too slow and difficult to handle, with player movement being particularly challenging. The game is weird, dark-themed, which is too odd for kids to play and too slow for adults who might be interested in dark themes but can not enjoy it due to its extremely slow pace.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I definitely recommend! A great indie platform adventure. I love the dash and invisible mechanic, it gave a unique gameplay to an oversaturated genre. The world/level layout is fantastic. The music is epic! It is errie but whimsical. And art style is awesome.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Onirike is a beautiful 3D puzzle platformer. Your mission is to collect all key fragments to get the key that will make all your dreams come true.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/1b-9J6eICag Awkward platforming keyed to a timer and interspaced with collection side tasks done meld into an overall satisfying experience.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, relaxing soundtrack and quality puzzles
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I always like a game about being a clown and collecting spores.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A cosy platform game that never gets too hard, with a simple story and some interesting gameplay mechanics. Pretty short, linear and enjoyable. The movement system may be a bit clunky sometimes, but in the end it feels good enough to not be frustrating. Recommended but its actual full price of 15 euros feels like too much, bought the key instead.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a pretty good, short, platformer, i would play with a controller though and if the game is lagging it's almost unplayable. The checkpoint system is weird but it doesn't really matter cuz you can put down your own checkpoints every few feet so I can't complain.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Curious gloomy world... I freaked out in the labyrinth! Fortunately you can turn invisible, lol. I played in Spanish because I didn't really like the English voice. Happens! The narration added a little something to the game, making it even more enjoyable. The style reminds me of Tim Burton's animated movies. I enjoyed discovering this gloomy, somewhat creepy world.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The narrative is good, with intensity that has a significant impact. You're put in a small open world, where platforming is a crucial way to explore. It is flawed in a way, but there's something that always makes up for it. It's a nice game to try out, and play all the way through.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute and charming, and the dash ability kets you do some real interesting stuff. Biggest complaint is that collecting the petals only seems to be worth it for the Achievement, considering there's no limit to gypsophila spores.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved this game. The platforming was super easy but the game was never tedious or boring, instead I found it relaxing. The visuals were super creative and bizarre, and it was a lot of fun to play with friends and laugh at all the weird stuff in it. For a short weird poorly translated indie platformer, I would highly recommend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Onirike is a fun story with a unique resolution (pay attention early). The devs are attentive and a great help. Highly recommended platformer/puzzler
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bizarre but fun little platform adventure!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Imagine Tim Burton played Bowser's Fury and thought... I should make an open world 3D platformer. That is the closest description I can make. It has nice visuals, great voice narrator and a unique style. Not too challenging, but still very enjoyable.
