60 of 65 · most liked firstMillionaire Manor is a pretty bland hidden object game with little to no adventure plot involved. It's just a series of hidden object 'puzzles' with the only connection being a spinner that selects the mode that the hidden object screen will be presented in (e.g. list, silhouette, puzzle piece, etc.). I didn't find much of a challenge, none of the hidden objects require any kind of manipulation to reveal, and the hardest thing about it was finding the objects in lower quality images (poor…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This Hidden Object game is that your on a gameshow to save your grandpa so you must complete puzzles to do it. The variety of puzzles are interesting from silhouettes, to riddles, keeping things fresh. A solid 10/10 idea! Good voice acting which drives the story makes the game feel alive. The game detects your resolution loading the game in that resolution which can result in stretched or fuzzy low quality textures. How to Fix: Right click the steam entry and choose properties/click local…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this Game during a Sale after discovering how good HOG`s can be through the Artifex Mundi Games. Sadly this one is not even close to them. The Story is nonsensical and lackluster. That alone I wouldn`t mind so much but the Gameplay, while theoretically varied with lots of gamemodes is absolutely random. You spin a wheel that randomly gives you a Gamemode. This means that you will most likely play the same modes again and again and never get to see some of the others. Still I could…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Welcome to the Hidden Object Game Show" says the ever so glib, top hat and tuxedo wearing Master of Ceremony with the Clockwork Orange eyes and a maniacal laugh that puts the Joker to shame. Okay, gramps what have you managed to get yourself into besides a cage along with 5 other caged 'contestants'. For accuracy's sake two people are in one cage, making 5 cages total. Despite this bizarre and slightly unnerving introduction the only thing any of this has to do with gameplay is releasing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR version at the bottom. This is really not that terrible of a HO game, but there are a few things that you need to know before you give it a try. Firstly, this is an old-school HO game, without a map/travel or inventory management puzzles. Like many of the older games, it's just finding objects in a scene packed with dozens upon dozens of items. If you are looking for something like the new Artifex Mundi games which are more intricate and have more features, you probably won't be…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not sure why anyone would want to play a hidden object game without a goofy, awkward, nonsensical story to it, but those people can rejoice for they have Millionaire Manor. Freed from the oppressive shackles of plot and narrative, players can click through the many game modes offered in rapid succession. If you need a quick item-hunting fix it'll get the job done but honestly just scrounging items is not what I'm here for. Consider this a pretty tepid recommendation based solely on the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hidden Object Games (HOGs) are rapidly becoming my genre of choice it feels like. Either I'm getting old or I want to review as many casual products as possible before the next wave of 2D shooters gets released (Thanks Degica and Cave!). In any case, I'm here to talk about Millionaire Manor, and baby I have to say it: This HOG is a PIG. In this adventure, you have to rescue your granddad (and a few other people) from a twisted game-show host. He has everyone caged and there is a shark-infested…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm normally not for Hidden Object games, but I thought this one also had jigsaw puzzles (it doesn't, really), so I put it on my wishlist to check during sales, and when I saw it for 0.49 euro, grabbed it. And then it kept me up to nearly 7am, intent on unlocking the extended play. And I had fun! - There's variance to the puzzles, different game modes. - A clever frame/story to get you to play the games and dive right in (without tedious running around or any half-hearted pretense at…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can not recommend this game to be honest. It's short. The alternative game modes can be annoying. You can not choose which type of mode you get, you have to spin a wheel so it's random. Extended play (after "beating" the normal play) could have been redeeming since then you can do the game modes you've missed in the different hidden object scenes, but by then I was so bored, I de installed. I felt no sense of reward but completionists might like to do all modes on all scenes and fill the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love to play Hidden Object games together with my daughter, but this one is so boring that we stopped playing it. The graphics is nice enough and from the atmosphere it looks good, but the game itself is totally repititive and boring. There a re some good ideas making it different from the run of the mill HO game but the overall presentation is not enough to save it. And if you are looking for a story, well there is some, but it is pretty unrelated to what you are playing and serves only as…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a crazy dude kidnapped Gramps. Very funny game. I enjoyed it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like this game because it was actually just a hidden object game. Not a lot of frills and extras, just doing a number of different modes of hidden object finds in different rooms. Some people seem to have found it bland and boring because it is lacking the point and click adventure part that most other hidden object games are filled with, but if you're not looking for that then this is good. Although, it is very short.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short version: 60% An old hidden object game stuck in an even older time, Millionaire Manor offers a nice variety of game modes and a good overall length, but it really struggles to keep the player’s attention. Long version: Millionaire Manor is the third instalment of The Hidden Object Show series, a rather strange breed of hidden object games that really showed how quantity can hurt quality. Yet again, the player is participating in a television game show– this time with a dark twist–…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't usually care for the plot of a HO game; they are usually cheesy or poorly written. But I now I realize that a cheesy story is better than none at all, which feels like is the case with this game. A game show is not a story after all, and it makes for a boring HO game. But that's not the worse part. The worst part was the low resolution pictures, which were poorly lit or shaded. Need I say more? All in all, playing this feels like a chore.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Are you tired of searching for a rag to wrap around a piece of broken glass to then use as a makeshift knife? Can't be bothered carrying 3 of 9 stone discs everywhere, looking for the other six or the puzzle they go into? Bored of staring at every little thing on screen in the hope that one of them will morph into something else? Then Millionaire Manor is the game for you! No adventures, no inventories, no $&%@ing morphing objects, just hidden objects and the finding thereof. Because of that,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →background artwork and voiceovers pretty good but hog scenes dark and low resolution so finding the objects pretty agonizing. there is also no substantial story.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Basically couple of different modes like puzzles, hog scenes, jigsaw slapped together and with barely existent small bits of story that supposedly should keep it together but fall short on that front. On top of that game runs in very small resolution and everything is blurry and fonts are hard to read.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A mediocre and entirely hidden-object game. Except from some jigsaw puzzles (in which you just find the place of some random pieces and don't solve a puzzle on your own), every other game mode is a variation of the classic find-the-objects recipe, for example you might have to find an item within half a minute or you could have to solve a small riddle first, although my favourite is when you need to combine two things from the scene to find the items on the list. The "story" is non-existent and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a HOG with no story and you can't walk around in a house or landscapes or whet ever to find clues to go further in the game. It's basicly finding hidden objects or silhouettes, actually kind of boring. The voice over is very irritating. I've bought it for about 1 Euro but it's worth 10 cents and when you buy it play it when you've got really nothing else to do and use it as a time killer.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This hidden object game is not one of the adventure/hidden object hybrids; instead it is a pretty much straight hidden object game with just a very minimal story, sort of like the Spin Top hidden objects. A different take in this game is that each hidden object scene has a number of different modes, which are chosen randomy through spinning a wheel. Modes include things like list (regular HOG where you find objects from a list), silhouette (silhouettes only, like what shows in some HOG…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I do not know what the negative reviews are about. My wife and I play Hidden Object Games for fun, and Millionaire Manor is one of the better of the half-dozen or so we have played. Unlike some games, the objects mostly are appropriately sized and placed (not huge, or stuck on the ceiling, for example). Yes, in a few cases poor contrast makes an object invisible, but that is not particularly uncommon in our experience with other games. Although short, the game seems clean and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sadly I can't recommend this game. Graphics' quality is so low that some objects are almost impossible to spot and playing even for a few minutes is painful for the eyes. Audio and dialogues are terrible, too. The story is simple: a woman must save her grandfather and others solving puzzles created by a madman. For every victim a sort of wheel of fortune chooses the puzzles to solve....but the choice isn't really casual since the player gets always the same 2-3 puzzles. Boring and painful to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Once again, I wish Steam had a "Maybe" option. Very basic HOG. No real story line. No puzzles. Just variations of HO scenes. Standard list of objects to find, find the outline of the object, eliminate objects to find the one you want, find hidden letters to spell out the hidden objects, and the most annoying one of all ... find the object based on riddle clues. The whole premise of the game is it's a game show. You spin a wheel that randomly selects what type of HOG scene you get, but that's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I actually like playing this game. At first I wasn't sure, but it is a lot of fun, and when those bonus rounds comes in and disturbs your consentration, and then you go back to your regular playing well. It is a lot of fun. So far I have not tired of playing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice new spin on a hidden objects game. Solve puzzles and find hidden objects in order to save your Grandfather from a crazy game show host. Though it can become repeatitive if you always land on the same thing when you spin, I find this hidden object game a fresh and rather enjoyable delight. It does become difficult and challenging.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A pathetic game, game is inbred and does NOT belong on steam 0.01/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Probably the most boring HO games I've played. Feels more like a grind. No good story, no resolution options.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After a while it starts to get pretty boring as the riddles come up oer and over again. Also there was a problem that while I was in the storymode I wasn't able to unlock the lst riddle, only afterwards in the extras I was able to play it. It's ok for this small price and some no intense gaming
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a great game for a variety of hidden object styles and quick games. Long term play with the storyline, revisiting similar scenes with slightly different objects or new objects enhances the length of gameplay with less need for new scenes. Very fun, would recommend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty decent game. I can't say worth for the full prize but I get this game with 75% discount so it's fine by me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →* PURE TRASH * As a HOG fan, my suggestion is to not buy this. First, I cannot resize the screen out of 800X600 resolution. Second, from what I was able to bear watching this is pretty bad as far as hidden object game stories go. If you see this on sale, don't bother!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →EDIT March 2018: Per Dryspace's comment on this review, I looked up BridgetFisher's review and tried the fix for the resolution issue I had. With that fix in place, I was able to play the game and finish it, though I doubt I'll complete the Extended Play in Jirard-style completionism. So, I change my review to a recommend with that. The plot is basically non-existent, but the antagonist's voice acting is some of the best I've encountered in an HO game. The various game modes give this game a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am writing this review in behalf of my wife who enjoys playing Hidden Object Point and click based games, She says this game is decently challenging and she enjoys it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short, straightforward Hidden Object game with a few variations - silhouette, focus, combine and other game modes give different ways of finding the objects. There isn't much of a story and I found the game quite dull and the graphics bland. If you're looking to find hidden objects this is probably fine if you buy it for half price or less in the sales, but for players who prefer the puzzle solving that comes with Point-and-Click Adventure games it just doesn't offer enough.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pro: Low system specs Creapy Not insanely difficult Con: Short (finished the game in 3 hours, less time it took to make and eat dinner so 1.5 hours) No steam cards or achieves For me the screen capture doesn't work $5.50 for the amount of time is a bit expensive Overall: 5/10 -1 short -1 no cards, etc = 3/10 Unless your really into short hidden object games, pass.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is short, has no point-and-click elements at all and picture is far from perfect. But it has some new hidden object scene modes which I never saw before (for example riddles that points items you should find), great voice acting (especially the main villain) and is pretty entertaining. Sadly it has no achievements which could stretch play time few hours more. Grab it on a sale and you'll not be dissapointed.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fast-paced, fun, and silly. I found it to be a great little game, and would recommend it to hidden object game enthusiasts. The characters are quirky, which contrasted the serious protagonist nicely. Took me about 4 hours, and each area has multiple gameplay modes, which keeps it fresh and fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the most boring hidden objects game I have ever played (and that includes some F2P facebook games). The story is barely there, the levels are repeated way to often and the different play styles are to easy and not fun. There are loads of better games for this type of games out there.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of the more fun HO games I've played. It has several varieties of puzzles that make it more interesting than just finding the items on a list. The story is dumb, so if you play HOGs for story you may not like it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'll recommend this, because it is a hidden object game with an interesting premise (crazy guy kidnaps your grandfather and a bunch of other people and makes you play a 'hidden object' game in his massive mansion to release him)(very meta). It sets itself apart from other hidden object games with the game show type aesthetic randomizing the type of hidden object scene you interact with with at least 10 different game modes. The big problem I have with this game though, is its dated. The game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Almost no story, only low resolution hidden object scenes... Forget this game, there are far better ones on steam.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I gave this a thumbs down, because it was boring, tedious, lacked any kind of excitement. I stopped playing after I realized that the story line of the game was not going anywhere......judarry
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Straight up HOG with a few pretty easy puzzles. Great for when you're tired of games where you have to gather items to unlock locations and all that nonsense. I liked the different game modes in the later puzzles and the narration was entertaining.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros +The gameshow concept is a good one, but not expanded on. +Variety of modes Cons +Low-res, dull HO scenes +Practically no story This is a very plain hidden object game. There’s practically no story and it’s just scene after scene of finding objects. After you finish 1 section of 6 rounds, the gameshow “host” will release one of the captured people. The last one being your grandfather. There are multiple modes to play each scene and you spin a wheel to determine which one you start off…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tags: Adventure - WC - Hidden Object Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Low resolution. Hintspam gameplay. Repetitive. Uses a lot of cheap tricks to hide the objects. Not much of a story. Outcompeted in saturated genre. Between the reshades, the object hidden by other object and the resize of object there are a lot of cheap tricks this game uses. So this is sort of a gameshow in which you spin a wheel and must gradually solve more and more games of hidden…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not the most exciting Hidden Objects but worth the play. If you have nothing else to play - this is still good to go.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →NOT WORTH BUYING This game is a realy bad HOG game, well the game has good graphics but its only simple senseless put together pictures with modes and this was it. the story is as simple as the game has less content. there is you grandpa kidnapped and you play in a gameshow for no reason to free him. this is so open and lame as i reads.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All in all I like this title. It is based on a concept that you are playing a gameshow and trying to rescue previous contestants that lost but it isn't a strong story line that keep pulling me back into the game. What does keep pulling me back into it are the new ideas Gogii added to the Hidden Object game genre. Like I said this isn't a strong story driven game much like Artifex Mundi games BUT it does add many new concepts when looking at the same scene; match 3 (adds an extra 2 items…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a great idea for an HOG which gets boring and repetitive very quickly. pros. the idea of the game no walking around collecting stuff etc. good graphics. many game modes. cons. boring story, very repetitive always have to do the same stuff in the same scenes i do not recommend this game at all. maybe only for those who are curious and/or collectors. overall i give the game 2/10 for the idea and the decent graphics.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A pretty fun, interesting take on object-finding puzzles. The storyline and voice acting are okay; it's the way you unlock new modes and do the same or similar rooms in different ways that make it interesting and fun. A little frustrating at times, but more due to the challenge level than low game quality. Plus, the game is fairly accessible - only one mode involves a time limit, and hints are fairly easy to come by and don't seem to count against you (nor does time taken); the only issue I can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I encountered a lot of glitches (items remaining on screen, desynced audio, some puzzles not working), and the game doesn't really have a story either. Maybe if they remastered it it would be fun, but it's sadly outdated.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice Idea overdone! To combine hidden object games into "virtual" Gameshow isn't an all new idea, actually there were already some of this around. Millionaire Manor is one of them, and actually it isn't as bad as some of it's predecessors but still, it's a bit too much. Given it has a backgroundstory of sorts, voiceacting and moderate HOS (some of them are really too cluttered); it's actually lacking the most important thing: Motivation. Why should anyone bother about this game, when it's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I found it boring, repetitive and annoying - but not too easy, and the graphics are quite good too. Biggest moan; the bonus rounds are too frequent and interrupt gameplay
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →4/10 There is basically no story to the game, it's just a series of hidden object scenes, you want to finish as soon as possible.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sinister Plot and negative banter... a real put off for me. ... too bad because the variety and randomness of the HOG puzzles were really enjoyable - just couldnt stand to listen to the negative dialog in between them anymore... am deleting the game and will take a loss on the purchase.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A hidden object game as it should be!!! Actually one of the best I´ve played so far, because I really really don´t like those pseudo-story fairy-tale run-around hidden object // point and click - crossover games. This here is the good stuff: no real story but plain and simple finding hidden objects in a picture. What makes it even more interesting is the fact that there are different modi besides the classical get a word, find the object but also find things by shape, find five of a kind, find…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Became very quickly monotonous, but okay game, if you just want to relax. 4/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Millionaire manor, and murder mystery! Sounds intriguing, right? Uh. . . Y'see, that's part of why I can't recommend this game - the waste of what could have been an intriguing plot under layers of mind-numbing repetition. It's not that the puzzles are bad, just driven into lackluster presentation due to the sheer number of times you have to do, redo, and redo again to free one of the captives - plus you're given only the scantiest of motivations in rescuing your grandfather. Visually, the…
