Melvor Idle
Developer Games by Malcs
Inspired by RuneScape, Melvor Idle takes the core of what makes an adventure game so addictive and strips it down to its purest form! This is a feature-rich, idle/incremental game combining a distinctly familiar feel with a fresh gameplay experience. Maxing 20+ skills has never been more zen. From the Steam store page

unlabelledView post →Attempting a new idle game! I was in the mood for something new and this one seems long lasting! It's giving early 2000's text based RPG vibes lol #melvorIdle
unlabelledView post →Some of my own favorites, in no particular order: Shattered Pixel Dungeon Kittens Game Hungry Cat Nonogram Dungeons of Dreadrock Usagi Shima Lost For Swords Stone Story RPG Melvor Idle Simon Tatham's Puzzles
unlabelledView post →Third, and I wish this was how the base game handled it instead of needing a mod, is Melvor Idle with the time bank mod. The mod gives you even more control than omsi loops did, like letting you assign a multiplier to offline time, and stuff. Huge improvement over vanilla Melvor.
unlabelledView post →Not sure how many #MelvorIdle players in our Blue Skies, but I gotta share Finally finished (don't even mention DLC) #Melvor #Idler #Idlers
unlabelledView post →Taking a break from my idle game by playing idle games. Melvor Idle in hardcore mode is stressful! Currently narrowly escaping death by 1 hitpoint out of 392!
unlabelledView post →I like well made mobile games without aggressive ads and monetization (some "fair" ones are OK). So, nothing from the top trending charts 😉 Here my favorites: Home Quest CIFI ISEPS Tiny Shop Melvor Idle Monument Valley Two Eyes - Nonogram Mindustry Hades' Star Stardew Valley Kittens Game Flow Free
unlabelledView post →I mainly play Melvor Idle (got the base game for free through Epic Games last year, but I bought two of the three expansions so far) and The Tower. Both are idle games that I can play at my own pace. Started playing Slice and Dice a bit ago and I may buy the full version soon.
unlabelledView post →True! I just cycle between games of the month. Here recently it was Remnant 2. Then when I was done I flopped to Dota 2 for anniversary drops. Then State of Decay 2 because of the Curveballs update, the game still sucks lol. Melvor Idle. And now I'm back on Albion Online. Fun!
unlabelledView post →No such thing! And if you're looking for a decent idle game, I can't recommend Melvor Idle highly enough!
unlabelledView post →I started playing Melvor Idle and now I have thirty tabs open with vastly different information on the game as I frantically ask myself, “What the fuck did I just get myself into???”
unlabelledView post →I like Melvor Idle lately. It's a game about many short term goals rather than one big one, due to its Runescape inspiration. There's a decent amount of potential strategy involved on what to prioritize because most systems interact with each other, but you can do anything in almost any way.
unlabelledView post →Melvor Idle is 50% off on Steam. Pretty good deal store.steampowered.com/app/1267910/...
unlabelledView post →Steam Replay is a little messed up when you develop a steam-connected game... Melvor Idle helped me get through the urged for Runescape without actually playing Runescape much 👍
unlabelledView post →The 2nd holiday game that Epic is giving away is Melvor Idle, an idle game inspired by Runescape, and it can run quite well on the Steam Deck! steamdeckhq.com/news/melvor-...
unlabelledView post →Pocket City 2 is great, Kittens Game, Melvor Idle, Tap Wizard RPG, Leaf Blower Revolution, Pokemon Shuffle are some other good ones
unlabelledView post →#AzAbsorbs Librarian: Tidy Up The Arcane Library: steamcommunity.com/id/judges119... I cannot get over how chuckle-worthy all the book titles are, or the perfect math textbook covers. Melvor Idle: steamcommunity.com/id/judges119... Best incremental+idle game I've played, amazingly deep mechanics.
unlabelledView post →I played a game for about 21,000 hours, depending on what you define "playing" as. Melvor Idle is probably the best idle game you could try. A reflection on my experience and eventual retirement. manastone.ca/2026/06/28/i...
unlabelledView post →Multiple skills to level, emphasizing a long term grind. I was inspired by Melvor Idle and Idle Iktah which are also OSRS-like, but those are purely menu based. This project is turning out tot be an idle game in a world where locations matter
unlabelledView post →Also I didn't count Melvor Idle because idle game but uhhh
unlabelledView post →I've played a bunch of cool ones in recent years! Kittens Game, Melvor Idle, Stone Story were all quite impressive IMO. Maybe less known, Unnamed Space Idle was also pretty interesting.
unlabelledView post →First 100% completion of 2026 is an incremental game. Tower Wizard by Barribob is a nice, relaxing, short incremental game that doesn't require a ton of time investment unlike games like Cookie Clicker or Melvor Idle
unlabelledView post →I'm playing the new one! I actually learned about RuneScape when I found out about a game called Melvor Idle! I hadn't played a game like it before & the creators of Melvor said it was inspired by RS. So I looked that up & here we are XD
unlabelledView post →If you like incremental games, this bundle contains three games I love and one I'm going to purchase immediately because it's in such good company. https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/65248 #CookieClicker #MelvorIdle #theGnorpApologue #TowerWizard
unlabelledView post →Thank you for the praise, I really appreciate it! I look to Melvor Idle and similar games ie Milkyway Idle and IronwoodRPG when concepting this project. I spent 1-2 months in Figma designing the project first. Before game dev I was in web development, Working with Godot's UI is new to me though!
unlabelledView post →I've been playing a game called Melvor Idle, and while it's maybe a little *too* idle for me, something about this style of game appeals to me greatly. I'd love an "idle" game that has something like the Final Fantasy 12 Gambit system, where you could set up your dude's AI and watch him cook.
unlabelledView post →if the ADHD could chill with making me want to play 3 different games at once, that'd be great. it's like I need a game snack to go with my main games. (main games being Sea of Stars and Melvor Idle at the moment because fuck Infinity Nikki still)
unlabelledView post →That would take more than a few years of constantly running the game. I know Melvor Idle has a lot of content, and I am running 6 characters, but... I might decide it is time to move on after a few years. :P
unlabelledView post →i have come to realize because of Melvor Idle. that runescape is a Unique MMO that is less of an RPG and more of a MMO Semi-Idle game. once I approached it with that mindset the game became far more fun and engaging to me.
unlabelledView post →I will hyperfocus on a game. Like right now, I am playing Melvor Idle. Sometimes I will play Shapez or Stacklands too, but mostly it is Melvor Idle. Even when I had time prior to about 16 months ago, I would play one game, finish it, or just get bored of it, then move on.
unlabelledView post →Melvor Idle, let's go! It's my favorite game right now 🩸
unlabelledView post →Honorable mentions with >300 but <500 include: Apex Legends, DOS2, MH: World, POE2: Deadfire, Melvor Idle, Terraria, almost any non-Reach Halo game, and Baldur's Gate 3's character creator.
unlabelledView post →i won't let myself play games that require a lot of focus while at work because i am a "good employee" but things like Cookie Clicker and Melvor Idle are fair game it's Friday, time to check out Rusty's Retirement store.steampowered.com/app/2666510/...
unlabelledView post →There's something kinda neat about idle games. I'm currently obsessed with #MelvorIdle which I started 2 years, 83 days, 13 hours, and just over 34 minutes ago. I put it down, forgot about it, came back after two DLCs were released and have been hard core focusing it, well as much as you can an idle game, for the past week. My stats aren't all that bad considering I put this down and only just came back.
unlabelledView post →I've been quietly obsessed with today's free Epic game, Melvor Idle, for months. It's like Progress Quest as a real game. Just a super long-form, satisfying idle RPG for people who enjoy making plans and tinkering with to-do lists. Get it on Epic and you can play forever on browser and mobile, too.
unlabelledView post →I've been playing #MelvorIdle since October, and TODAY I noticed how this enemy is spelled!? #TIL #Golbin
unlabelledView post →I've had my #MelvorIdle hardcore character for about 200 days now as a passive skiller. I might have to level up Ranged finally.
unlabelledView post →I popped Melvor Idle today. Complete control of all resources. With a little digging, I bet I can get to other players profiles. #runescape #melvoridle
unlabelledView post →Melvor Idle really is the most content deep idle game I've played. This is awesome
unlabelledView post →So Melvor Idle is basically just "oops all crafting loops" and it's the greatest and potentially most dangerous game I've played in a long time.
unlabelledView post →There really aren't enough good life-skill #MMORPG out there.. why is everyone so obsessed with PvP? I enjoy my crafting times on #RS3 / #OSRS and #Melvoridle a lot more than any PvP in other games. Anyone got more titles along those names to suggest (bonus if they have some form of mobile version)?
unlabelledView post →Installed it a while back, seems to fall into the trappings of Melvor Idle but I'll definitely give it some time. Not *quite* enough interaction (I know, idle game, but there's a balance). I agree though, what it is is good :3
unlabelledView post →I have one of those friends that's addicted to Runescape and today I found out that he also plays Melvor Idle which is just Runescape if it was a browser text game a la cookie clicker with Discord Rich Presence
unlabelledView post →Just started my first hardcore/perma-death character in Melvor Idle I missed playing this game daily
unlabelledView post →For those who haven't tried Melvor Idle, I highly recommend. It's my first idle game and there's a whole bunch stuff to do
unlabelledView post →playing #MelvorIdle a #RuneScape inspired "idle" game wherein your character takes actions and advances the game in real-time, even when you don't have the game open, with little to no active input required. set a task, walk away for hours, come back to loot and/or xp very relaxing gameplay :)
unlabelledView post →I’ve recently gotten into Melvor Idle. I like that it’s an idle game that you can just fire up for like 5 minutes every couple hours, tell your guy to do something, and that’s it. No Gacha or anything like that.
