It is a reaction and path-learning based platformer with rouge-like elements (no checkpoints in levels). Once you beat a level,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mechanic Escape is a 2D platformer with challenging 80 levels that last under a minute. There are 80 levels spread across 4 worlds with their own set of obstacles. Each level is packed with fast platforming action, collectibles that unlock outfits, a boss that forces you to be fast during some sections of the level and small parts where the game plays itself, but looks cool while doing it. Dying is a part of the game to learn the level layout, but it isn't a big setback since the levels…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A shocking good time. Very addicting, yet very frustrating. If you die, you start from the beginning of the map. You can't go slow or the evil bot will kill you. You can't go fast or you will miss a jump and die. Either way, you're going to die eventually lol.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do you know how hard it is to play a piece of meat? Do you know how to be a rabbit from hell? Have you ever seen snail watching TV? If you know the answers to these questions then you just need to play this game! You must buy it on the sale! P.S. No, this game doesn't have a snail however it has many TV which you have to collect :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice physics, gameplay and music. If you have patience, you can complete all levels with gold stars. Achievements are easy to unlock and will come as the game progresses. 9.5/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't use a controller, that way you have less things to throw at your computer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i don't know why i enjoyed this game so much. the physics are really floaty. the story doesn't make ANY sense whatsoever. it's not really all that challenging at all, there are a lot of "just hold the right arrow key and the game will take you where you need to go" levels. but something about the gameplay itself is really addicting. a good game to buy on sale if you're a fan of platformers, but i wouldn't buy it otherwise.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Casual Super Meat Boy, with weird floaty physics, slow animations, automated actions (press button one time near wall and it will bounce automaticly, so you dont even need to care about timings) and very bad performance, i cant even imagine how 2d games like this could have such a stuttering and fps drops, probably unity is the reason again. I love art style but gameplay and performance are not enjoyable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is amazing. From the gameplay to the lore, this game is for casual and hardcore gamers alike. The lore is extremely rich and deep and it will keep you invested. I recommend this to anyone.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Straight away this felt very mediocre, so I saw no reason to continue playing. I've already done the same things countless of times in other games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's not much of a learning curve with Mechanic Escape, even the controls are pretty basic. Still, sometimes all you need are the basics to have a game that is entertaining to pick-up and play; or spend hours without even realising it. In the vein of Super Meat Boy, Mechanic Escape's mechanics are simple - double jumps, jumps, moving back and forth - but the environment becomes your enemy as you rescue television sets in stylised platform chapters involving everything from exploding cogs to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, I got some mixed feeling about this game. First 3 chapters are very easy and kinda boring. Getting perfect runs and 100% achievements wasn't a big deal at all. After 4 hours of playing and getting 100% I was going to uninstall it but it turned out that there is one more final chapter. And well... That last one was challenging and definitely worth playing. I felt like it was a different game. tl;dr version: 6/10, worth playing if you don't have anything better to do.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Masochist? Now I can really know what this means on this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mechanic Escape is a platformer, a challenging platformer, which also needs you to be a bit rhytmical. It has 80 levels that you need to run through, and you need to do it fast, because aside from struggling with the platform elements, you also have to continuosuly escape from chasing you machines. The 80 levels I mentioned are placed in 4 different worlds. And of course each has different obstacles that you have to deal with. On your journey you can unlock some outfits. Given that there’s the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →mechanically escape these.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very generic level design and pretty awkward character movement. Not a "bad" game, but I would never recommend it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tried. I really tried to beat this game. I slogged through it for hours, but I just couldn't bring myself to tolerate it any longer. Mechanic Escape is one of those games with a decent start, but once you get to the second stage all of the game's glaring flaws because readily, painfully apparent: - The platforming physics are not good. They aren't so bad that they immediately ruin the game; rather, they're the kind that make you go "This is kind of weird, but maybe I'll get used to it." But…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mechanic Escape is a very solid platformer! It's very linear and rhythmical, where timing is more important than actual mechanical mastery. Think more Rayman, less Super Meat Boy (the iOS Rayman, anyway, never played the others). Every obstacle is designed to be easily surpassed if you time everything right, making it easier the faster you go. There are collectibles in each level, but they generally serve as a guide/help, instead of a hinderance. There are 50 little guys spread around, almost…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just Run Run and Run = = Simple game but challenge for pass away
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome Game! I like that game very much!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this game for free but I definitely would pay for it! Fun, challenging, nice scenarios and many levels! Buy it, it's totally worth it. Though leaderboards would be a nice add and some different achievements too (like getting all golden stars). 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nah. Precision platformer where the FOV is so close you can't see the collectables or traps, clunky controls and no meaningful indication of what or why. Play Splasher or SMB instead for a similar experience but far more enjoyable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I originally bought this years ago, played for a little bit, and then put it aside as being too difficult. Recently started looking through my old games on steam and started playing this again on a whim. I haven't completed it yet, but I'm definitely having more fun than I was before - maybe I just have more patience now? But it's fun to play in relatively short bursts. A pretty fun little platformer if you don't mind dying a lot while you learn each level
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awful, awful experience. Timing traps that you do not see, too close FOV, a lot of trial and error in the sense that NO ONE SAW THAT COMING and you're dead. That is wrong, plain wrong. Level design should be so that if you managed to master all the cues and reflexes that you'll avoid everything or manage in the way. Not in here. Also, a lot of late levels require you to FLOAT. That wouldn't be a problem, if the main character wasnt driving on ice skates. Man, this is ridiculous. Having NO fun…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mediocre platformer, and considering many decent titles in this genre, you'd better not waste time on this one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a really simple platformer, worth about $1. You either like simple platformers, or you don't. There's nothing really noteworthy to say about it. It's a functional game, but there's not a lot to it. --- [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/38232109/]While you are here, would you consider following my curator page? positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good little game but i quit half way gets to hard for me lol!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a cute game that can be difficult and rage inducing at times, but it's not so bad. It's entertaining, and a great time waster. Plus, it's very kid friendly, with the TV having different costumes that look like different characters form kids movies.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun game. its easy at the start but becomes harder and harder as you progress through levels. There's not much of a story, I recommend it if you like challenging games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →something is wrong with this game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This puzzle game looks nice and plays nice. The first few levels are easy but it's clear they progressively become harder. The game looks polished and UI handles fairly nicely. For me personally the gameplay got a bit boring with a pretty lax difficulty ramp. Regardless it's a complete game and it's clear there are tougher puzzles ahead. http://played.today/mechanic_escape.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTzL0_o4CWA
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome Game. :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great jump and run platformer, 9/10. There is a nice variety of features (crusher, flamer, disappearing platforms, teleports...), and each level has an invincible boss chasing you for some part of each level, where every jump and every maneauver counts... responds very well to the controller. Importantly, the difficulty gradually increases, but is not as frustratingly difficult as some of the other famous platformers (Meat Boy...), its exactely right... you will still die a few times per level,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Challenging Speed Platformer with elements from games like Super Meat Boy and Bit.Trip Runner with Rayman style art! Needless to say Mechanic Escape is a gorgeous fast-paced and fun platformer where you play as a TV and collect TV's... what more could you want? However, I did enjoy it like everything it still had it's pro's and cons which I will explain. Pro's: ♦ Awesome Graphics and level designs (Similar to Rayman) ♦ Challenging like all good Platformers should be (Not too challenging that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →26. Mechanic Escape Just a cute little collecting platform game, a bit floaty in its controls, but otherwise an okay time-waster for a few hours.
unlabelledView post →Mechanic Escape is a fast-paced 2D platformer developed by Slak Games and published by Plug In Digital. The game belongs to a category of platformers often described as “hardcore” or “die-and-retry” titles, where success depends on precision, reflexes, and learning through repeated attempts. Rather than focusing on narrative depth or combat systems, the experience centers on relentless momentum and obstacle navigation. It delivers a style of gameplay that emphasizes speed and quick reactions,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I found this game pretty mediocre. I never liked games when you are being chased by something. Timing is way too strict and controls are garbage. Like i would press to jump and it would take longer to react then i expect it to. Definitely has some input delay. Story was kinda meh for what it is and very random. I always ended up frustrated since i never had time to react to new things and i was always chased by something which i found really annoying. The game is hard but not for the gameplay…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Life is bittersweet at best if you dont take advantages when you can, so leap up for the stars and do your best at what you do. Use your skills to the fullest and then train them more push them to the brink, gaming is one thing but if you cant work to get the funds to game you got nothing to play for in the first place. So get out there and do your best trust me every little bit helps.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fun game but I couldn't bring myself to finish the final chapter. I just got a little to much rage going and I shut down. If you enjoy games like Super Meat Boy then you'll most likely enjoy this. You are a TV and you avoid obstacles while collecting little TVs on each level. There are four chapters with twenty levels each and in certain parts of each level a boss chases you until you hit a checkpoint. The boss who shoots lasers really drove me crazy and it was one reason I couldn't…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun platformer with a sharp difficulty curve. You'll certainly enjoy the vibrant visual style!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →cute and funny platformer 8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't get the "Very Positive" rating this game currently has. Maybe I haven't played the game long enough? But that's tough, it's so plain, repetitive and boring right out of the gate. It's the nigh-simplest set of gameplay mechanics in a game (jump, double jump, and what else?). Is there a time when you get to control a different character? How much insufferable "collect all the things as you jump through a stage" mechanic do I have to suffer to get through to more content? Why is it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A lovely platformer game with a TV! The price tag is a bit much, but if you're into platformer games, then definetly give it a try if it on sale! At first, it wasn't the gameplay that kept me around, it was the design, the whole game's atmosphere, the awesome "graphics", and when I kept sticking around, I started noticing the lovely gameplay. Although, the game is a bit annoying in stage 4, but it is managable. TL:DR - Pick it up on a sale if you're into platformer games, it is a rare gem in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is so much fun , pretty coloring system and nice levels , Recommended :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →laggy and slow motion game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game is not working i laggs to much
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very funny game, excellent music to keep you motivated along the journey. For those who like adventure and challenge i really recomend it to you. This game is hard and very challenger.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A competent puzzle platformer with very tight controls and enough levels to justify the asking price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i played it for 2.5 hrs and i finished it super easy give it a try 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mechanic Escape is a Rayman type game which I like very much. This game offers cool background music and exciting levels. I enjoyed this game very much. 7.5/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mechanic Escape is a really fun game, for example if you are a bit bored you can just launch it up and play for quite a while, without noticing how fast the time pases while playing it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have enjoyed the first hour of this more than the first hour of most the $20 retro platformers relesed this year. Hard and addicting like crack. It adds a tense chase sequence every level that I love & hate at the same time. Would say no to drugs again.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good graphics and addictive gameplay. Awesome gameplay, it's worth the money!! 7,7/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After Slak... Games saw Micro-soft E3 2013 press conference: Lets make a game about... TV's!!! 9/10 TV... TV's!!! +Its fun 2 play ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A wonderful platformer that I have to honestly say holds it's own with some of the kings of the genre. Nice graphics and excellent gameplay kept me completely involved and entertained for hours. Very responsive controls (which you will need to finish the game), Overall this is a great, challenging, but not impossibly difficult game. Highly recommended for any platform gaming fan. -Final Verdict- 8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mechanic Escape feels a bit like Super Meat Boy lite; it's a series of challenging, bite-sized, no-frills platforming gauntlets. In my assessment, this game is a lot more accessable than SMB, as the controls are more forgiving and the level of challenge isn't quite as high. As a heads-up, most levels will have one or more menacing cloud-monsters that spawn behind you and chomp at your heels as an incentive to speed you up. When I was a child, this would have been scary enough where I would…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've came to the conclusion the end goal of this game is to make you break your actual TV in anger so you have to buy a new one. Marketing at it's finest. 10/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is just adorable. I can't get enough of it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, I got bored so I decided to complete all Achievements in this game.
