It is good at times and atrocious at others. Most of the game is well balanced, but there are moments that will make Your game impossible to pass. Catacombs are terribly designed. The spirit buff/upgrade+debuff is good The random debuff tiles.. are You supposed to save scum it? I did not. I got stuck with unwinnable…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played a bunch since the release on hard mode, managed to accrue a really powerful stun-lock deck that kept my head above water for quite a while, even had 3 lives saved up. It was fun until... Until I realized that lives in hardmode don't mean a thing. If you die one time, even with 3 saved up, the save file is gone. I lost everything during my second dungeon run in the sewers. Mainly due to the stacking debuffs which caused me to lose 3 rounds to stun, while taking 25 damage each turn, then…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game so far (playing on normal). The essence system is a creative and fun hook, blending story decisions with combat ones. I feel the game reflects my dialogue choices in combat but doesn't force a specific playstyle. The combat system is fun, especially after more getting the essence cards. With the right hand you can pull off some satisfying focus into fear combos with serious damage making some enemies melt in 2-3 turns of combat. The fights can be a bit slow and challenging at the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly? Maybe I just suck but I built my deck into a bad place, then there's a guy I can't get past and it auto loads you to the fight every time. So am I just screwed? Do I have to start over? Maybe I'm missing something but that sucks. Don't get me wrong. Games being hard is fine. But being put into what feels like an unwinnable spot and I'd have to reload a save basically back to the beginning if I want to change my deck enough to beat it, feels bad.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is from Poland. Surprisingly good so far, excellent art and gritty vibes, good voice acting. Channeling Witcher a bit.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is looking really good and combat is entertaining, can't wait to dive deeper into it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played countless of card games, and this is a hit and a miss. Usually, when the deck building is defining for the combat balancing, the game often have some sort of quick way of moving you back to where you left of with a different build. Which is why the the rogue-like genre is a good fit when solving such problems. An unfair enemy just allows you to repeat and try again with a different build instead of feeling unbeatable. You learn and repeat. In this game, the deck building is more…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the art and the style the game has. I REALLY like the voice acting and the soundtrack. The characters are well designed, the main character is a bit Garrett-like - which got points in my book - but for now i think the relation between El and Nevya is quite nice. So, given that i am at the 3rd chapter i can say that the narrative part is still holding and the game is quite enjoyable. The combat is, well, not much variety. Mostly, opponents have a rhythm in their cards and defeating…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The art, voice acting, and writing are all very good. I'm still very early on, and have only had 3-4 fights, but on 'Hard' mode the balancing is a little rough. Not even in a "this is too hard" kind of way. My latest fight had the enemy hitting for 52 damage (of my 100 health), and at a certain point, they then did *nothing* but defend for 40 (which persists over rounds), to the point it was just about stacking enough damage buffs to keep up and eventually kill them. This wasn't engaging at…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i finished the game and i loved the plot but playing it wasn't that enjoyable because fights ruined everything. Mechanics are great but balance and blocking modifying deck because of the limit of cards and "one time use" cards changing the minimum limit.... i would love to play the game again, but not with the balance like that. I hope it will be change so i can play it again.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros: - cool artstyle - great voiceacting - interesting characters - loved the intro Cons: - no much game in this game - card-battles are very barebones - a bit boring to be honest - get vegetables, get sausages, get drinks for the party... - every third line is a pun or an irony - it's not a bad millenial writing but it is on a verge - music sucks, it's too dull Overall - It didn't cut for me - but there are good things in this game that people will like, so I guess, worth a try

There is a lot of narrative so if you're a card player you might not like the amount, and if you're here for the story the card play can be brutal to new players. It's certainly a weird mix, so let's discuss each. Story First off, the game has surprisingly good voice acting so kudos for that. It's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutly fantastic game, but with a few problems. First the positives - Interresting story - Cool charackters - interresting combat system - fantastic Artstyle Cons - The combat feels a bit unbalanced - many encounter feel like just restarting again and again till you get a good combo at the right time - The essence system speeds up your auto decision making, but getting rid of essences feels cumbersome, would have liked something to get your stats down between fights if your more…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Who did this balance, I spent 2 hours in a blocked loop on first fight in stage 2 you can't ramp up like that while giving the users no way to refine. This is a hard blocker to your players.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's simply a good game. While the UX could use some polishing, it's definitely worth the price. And this is coming from someone who has probably seen everything there is to see in card and turn-based games. - Amazing art style and soundtrack. - Gameplay that might not be enough on its own, but is more than enough to keep you engaged. - Great story that gets better and better over time. - Excellent world-building, drawing on the classics and enriched with enough original content to keep…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →👑Hail good people! This week we played Magin, a narrative drivern non-roguelike card game. Its unique mechanics are brought down by slow pacing and other issues. Review: steamcommunity.com/id/Oncus/rec... store.steampowered.com/app/1205270/...
unlabelledView post →Short and sweet game, I really enjoyed the story and the narrative elements. The art style is gorgeous and collecting the eggs around the map was fun. I do think it could do with some balancing, particularly in how brutal the scaling for fights get but I realistically only had to reset once (when I realised I had a bad build) and it took 5 minutes to get back to where I was at so I wasn't really mad at it. The catacombs are also pretty harsh, but they are doable without save scumming,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First of all, I have to admire the art style this game has. I love the comic-styled theme while telling the story. Voice acting is really good too, I wish there was Polish one too :') The combats require a little more thought put into building decks later on in the game, so it's not about putting all your strong cards in, but studying what are weaknesses of the enemies and using specific weak cards that are perfect for it. The essence bar mechanic is a little nice addition too. Frustrated at…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good value for the money. The story is intresting, card combat is ok.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun so far, but the deck combat is kind of a mixed bag and too RNG dependent for a game that requires you to rerun cutscenes you can't skip when you lose, and the game sometimes hangs when loading. Too many cards punish block, which is annoying when you have no equivalent, and essence is a fun idea but really just a means to punish you in a way enemies aren't punished. Losing all your buffs is a death sentence, or, at least, means the combat will last several minutes longer while you set them…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →just started my journey in Gredenna, but I’m already completely hooked on the world of Magin <3 the art style is quite unique, with that comic book vibe, and the nonlinear story is delivered through fully voiced scenes that really pull you into adventure the Rat Project team did a great job blending point and click adventure mechanics with card-based combat, giving the game unique twist - strongly recommend it to fans of the genre who are looking for something fresh and a bit different
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It starts a little slow, but a few hours in I'm hooked. The worldbuilding is incredible, the story keeps me engaged, the art style is super unique, the writing is amazing and the combat system is both demanding and rewarding. Really nice, even at this point I'm thinking about doing another playthrough, making other choices on the way.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super good game I waited a long time for this to come out :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like the game, it had been on my wishlist forever. However, it seems just too unrefined for me to recommend. It's as if the dev had grand ideas but ran out of money and decided patch up and bandaid everything before releasing. To start, the superb voice acting and artwork really drew me into the story. I get that a game's cardplay can be a bit rough to begin with, but I got use to it. The story started off nice, and the fact that it encompassed more of the gameplay than…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →People complaining about softlocks genuinely have a skill issue. They probably upgraded the basic strike to deal a WHOPPING 15 damage instead of 7 or smth The game is really great the art style is amazing and the story and lore are genuinely interesting. Can't wait to see you expand the Magin lore in future games 'cause it has a ton of potential. My only complaint is the ghost guy in the dungeons who offers you a card upgrade in exchange for a mandatory wound. I don't really see the point of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Backed this on Kickstarter ages ago. A deckbuilder that's NOT a roguelike is a rarity! And this one does it pretty well!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bardzo fajna gra typu karcianka. Polecam dla fanów papieru
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting story so far
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good story and interesting as card game, thank for good experience, waiting for continue ;)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Długi czas oczekiwania dobiegł końca! Powoduje to owszem pobudzenie do myślenia i…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really charming narrative-driven game with a beautiful art style, nice voice acting and a quite engaging story to be honest. The combat balance can be a little uneven at times, but the atmosphere, characters and presentation more than made up for it for me. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy story-heavy indie games with a darker tone.
