Past a certain number of wins (or use of unlock button), your ladder climbing begins to care about your losses, dropping you back to an easier max difficulty when you lose. For those who played the demo, it represented the launch version well. Good for a coffee break level experience, and it seems like the depth is there for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →amazing game if you like auto battlers but i cant recommend it to people for full price. you can find games like this everywhere and even though this one is amazing its not worth 20 dollars. get it on sale or if you like this genre get it for full price
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoyed the game. It's very fun and I like all the different ways to play and all the different Gods and pantheons. I will say though, that the price seems a bit expensive (I personally think $10 is a better price for the type of game), but it is a fun game that you'll get enjoyment out of if you like deck building games
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's basically singleplayer hearthstone battlegrounds with a few changes - Less UI polish (but it's just good enough) +++++ No combat RNG ++ x4 speed + New mechanics to tinker with For a small game this one has A LOT of possible strategies. Overall, highly recommend to all hsbgs survivors.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're a fan of Super Auto Pets-style autobattlers with a lot of unique synergy potential, but with a more roguelike-y twist, add this one to your wishlist https://youtu.be/fgHG1kuoCNE
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a very fun and refreshing take on an autobattler. I really enjoyed the gameplay and the entire vibe of the game. The art is great and it feels like a love letter to all the religions included. The pantheons all feel refreshing and unique to use. I hope we get an update with new gods!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game. I feel I can spend hours and hours playing it and still get fresh runs. Specially love the synnergies you can get with your deck. The art of the units is amazing!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →@nullstar.bsky.social I am now a proud owner of your game! I also got @oriolcosp.bsky.social's Gods vs Horrors today too!
unlabelledView post →Gods vs Horrors is a charming little deckbuilder where you assemble an army of deities — with pantheons ranging from Ancient Greek and Aztec to Chinese, Celtic, and more — and proceed to kick the tentacled butts of horrifying monsters pulled straight from mythology and the twisted mind of H.P. Lovecraft. The game’s got style and it’s fun to play. Each pantheon offers unique synergies (for example, Norse gods gain bonuses every time they take damage and survive), and there’s a solid number of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is genuinely a fun rogue-like. The only issue i have with it is the lack of content. There are only a handful of bosses to choose from and there is no endless mode. I was able to breeze through the fist 2 bosses, then struggled on the third for quite some time. When i eventually did beat the third boss, i was able to breeze through the rest of them. There is a ladder mode when revisiting bosses that increases the difficulty but doesn't extend the game play any further. The mythologies are…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/36948155-Card-Game-KING/] FOR MORE CARD AND BOARD GAMES FOLLOW US CARD GAME KING Gods vs Horrors is an autobattler army builder that is decent enough to win against each boss once, and doesn't overstay it's welcome. Like many autobattlers, once the combat starts, there is not way to control the flow of battle - everything is decided in the preparation stage. In that stage players buy cards (gods) to make up an army to battle with. There is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun deck-builder with straightforward gameplay. The short run length makes this perfect for getting a game or two in without it being a commitment. Some mythologies felt a bit weak in campaign but are more viable in ladder mode. I appreciate coming back to this for half an hour at a time and getting a few runs in.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its okay, i beat it in around 6 hours with brute force (Takemikazuchi my beloved) guess the achievements will take another 6-12 hours
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting and worthy game to play. Each play take around 20~30 minutes, so quite enjoyable in a short time. However, could be much better if gods have more synergy with other gods from other regions. Since it is hard to target specific range of gods, I usually need to use gods of other area...but some gods, such as Nord or Aztec, only have synerge just with themselves. Of course, some gods can be used together, but they are limited. It could be better if diverse gods can be used together…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played a ton of the demo/Beta of this game. It is fantastic. Just buy it. It is genuinely an amazing Autobattler. You can clearly tell a ton of design work went into this making sure each pantheon has a unique playstyle!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Having a lot of fun with this unique take on the auto-battler genre. It has a nice difficulty curve so far, and the synergies of each pantheon are unique enough from one another that there's a great variety of gameplay to be had here.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an excellent strategic hero drafting game. (It is a single-player roguelite game in the same genre as Super Auto Pets) The game features a wide assortment of mythologies (e.g., Greek, Norse, Indian, etc) each with their own synergies and mechanics. Since every run gives you access to a random set of mythologies, you need to adapt your strategies to the gods that are available in any particular run. The game has an excellent difficulty curve. The early difficulties make the game easy…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun auto-battler roguelike with lots of unlocks and achievements. There are many different builds and synergies, which are fun to discover and experiment with. There's also a ladder system, which increases the difficulty with each win. Great game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Solid Roguelike Autobattler it's a mix of HS Battlegrounds and TFT in a pve format. Very relaxing but has a lot of depth and strategy
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good game, I've played a lot in the demo and the playtest, there's great replayability and I like that forcing a build is hard and therefore, the game ask you to improvise with what you get instead of forcing the same build over and over.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played the playtest/demo for about 20 hours so I've seen most of what is on offer, and what is on offer is great! Gods vs. Horrors is a single-player run-based card-drafting auto-battler you could argue for some more hyphenated-words but I think that covers the main gist. If you've played Hearthstone Battlegrounds, Teamfight Tactics, or Once Upon a Galaxy you'll know what you're getting into. GvH is nice in that it players a little looser with team comps, most of the Pantheons/factions can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played probably 5 more hours of the demo. This is a very fun and surprisingly deep PvE autobattler. If you like Super Auto Pets I highly recommend it, it's very satisfying.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gotcha so seems similar to Gods vs Horrors (Game by @oriolcosp.bsky.social ) which is currently in development with a mix of wildfrost with the complexity factor. Seems like something I'd play ngl ^^
unlabelledView post →while good, I hit a rather literal wall with the mountain boss. even runs where im absolutely crushing the rest of the game, the mountain ends up with too much health, and the poison flowers ensure that I cant even buffer its insta kills with bodies and then it kills off the one or two last gods I have and its game over. other than this wall in the middle? (based on how many more levels of horrors are left) of the game it was quite fun even when I had to restart the other bosses a few times…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very easy to understand auto battler. It color codes each unit set and doesn't over complicate the battlefield. There are mechanics that you have to work around for each boss, so it's not a mindless clicker, but the game is very approachable, especially for anyone interested in the genre.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is by and large stat checks, with the first three bosses so far just being "bosses" because they have big numbers. Weirdly steep scaling curve that ends up meaning instead of exploring various mechanics you're mostly just trying to rush your scaling high enough to have a bigger number than the boss.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really want to like this game. So much content and so little will to actually go through it. It always feels like, every time I manage to build a team that feels good to play, I'm right before the boss fight. Endless mode should've helped with this, however, the difficulty increase is so broken that you can at most fight 2-3 more rounds before it's game over.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gods vs Horrors is a clever fusion of roguelike progression, auto-battler strategy, and mythology-themed team building that delivers a surprisingly deep and rewarding experience. Developed and published by Oriol Cosp Games, the title places players in charge of assembling divine forces from various mythological traditions to defend humanity against waves of nightmarish cosmic entities. While its premise is simple to grasp, the underlying systems create a layered strategic challenge that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surprisingly good, just also pretty hard and frustrating bashing your head against the bosses. The UI and tactile response is very well implemented, feels great to play and drag tiles around, and the game has more decision making than you may expect. Losing to a boss a dozen times in a row despite differing strategies because you couldn't pull the right piece to get the deck above the hump sucks a lot though and feels less like a punishment for skill and more like a punishment for commiting to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →👑Hail good people! We drafted an army of gods to fight an army of Eldritch horrors in Gods Vs Horrors (by @oriol_cosp) Easy to learn, harder to master. Solid pick overall. Recommended. Review: steamcommunity.com/id/Oncus/rec... store.steampowered.com/app/2994240/...

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best single-player Battlegrounds games out there, with a significant list of pantheons and synergies to pick from. Every hero has great art and fluid animations, and each game brings unique challenges and replayable strategies. If you're looking for a charming and chill autobattler (against Lovecraftian horrors), then this is an easy recommendation!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun little game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun, if you get to over 1 mil in attack and defense the numbers kinda blend together some, but the game was clearly not meant for numbers like that. Also I got several units with over 1 mil attack and defense in my 2nd run, so there may be some mild balancing issues or maybe I am just lucky.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love playing, but the scorpian(enemies that melt my lineup from right to left) enemies need to be nerfed. I'm tired of them melting a 600+ health tank in a few seconds
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game, I love mythology and strategy games. I have since discovered the possibility of infinite eternity mode, the horrors went so high it looped around back to one and has not gone up. I'm currently on 3801 of eternity because I left it over night and an auto clicker to just keep fighting. I don't think it will ever end. Overall 120/10 game love it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a solo mode auto-chess battler based on Mythological gods and horrors that is mostly well-balanced and has interesting interactions. Every once in a while, the units and effects bug out or don't perform as stated, but I keep coming back to this and haven't gotten tired of it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →He's seriously done it again, genuinely amazing. No surprise it's from the guy who did Ouroboros King.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →straight forward auto battler. fun to play, really cool to see the more obscure mythologies. some combination issues with different artifacts, but fun to play and figure out
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you enjoy autobattlers and teambuilders, this is worth the money. If you like Abyssal or Pantheon themes, then you'e found the right game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent little auto-battler. Scratches the Hearthstone Battlegrounds itch, but it's PvE so it's much easier to pick up and play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fun but often feels like it needs a bit of balance to counter poor shop rng.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're not running Nuwa with your Norse build, youre playing it wrong.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really great game ! Overall good design of the different pantheons (a bit weaker for synergies between pantheons except a few outliers). Relics are in general great and some really change gameplay. Only real negative, the ladder can feel pretty bad for some of the bosses
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →an excellent roguelite deckbuilder
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →actually really good
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked it. The balancing feels a bit weird: the stuff that you unlock feel weaker than what you start with, so the more runs you make, the harder the game gets. I.e. the pantheons that you unlock all ended up feeling weaker to me. Either way, it was a fun experience. I'd say you can get 8 to 10 hours of gameplay before things start feeling samey.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →gg this game rulez
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →better than getting blackpilled about politics
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yep is good. Make numbers go up in a bunch of different ways.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great, fun and quick game, that you can keep coming back too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If Hearthstone Battlegrounds was done right. No combat RNG, twists you get to choose, no meta you constantly face, since it's PVE, really cool synergies, infinite time to think about your plays, animations have whatever speed you want, etc... Just get it. Refund it if you don't like it. But you will.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →nice combos , interesting gods ! good game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really enjoying this game - tons of depth with strategies for each pantheon, cool simple visuals, all around a great auto battler
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ty for that game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun roguelike if you enjoy hearthstone battleground.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved the demo, and this expands on the demo tremendously. This game has endless possibilities!
