Project Highrise is much more in depth and makes more sense to me (as someone who has lived and worked in highrises most of my life). The main advantage of this game is that there is an aspect of traffic management which wasn't a concern nearly as much in project highrise. This game would be a better game than Project Highrise if the AI pathfinding wasn't so bad making the whole traffic management portion of the game pointless. So buy Project…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you miss SimTower, this is the closest thing I've found to it. Less complex than Project Highrise - we are back to elevator management but not quite the same way as SimTower. I'll probably keep playing around with it. I found it enjoyable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a updated clone of SimTower, which is good, but, compared to other sims like it, like Project Highrise, I need to say, I like Project Highrise better.

unlabelledView post →Before buying, Do realize it's not a "Rome game" that can be completed in a day. It's a game that you will leave your PC on overnight from time to time to boost your money and level without doing anything! The Dev said it's a Sim just like the one he and i (you?) played as kids called Sim Tower. Just as in Sim Tower it's very slow to build up money and prestige (Stars) VERY SLOW! But can be playable ALL day if you know what your doing..... MONEY$$$ STARS***** If you want a lot of money do…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feels Empty. I dont know if I didnt give the game enough time, but it really feels like a skinner box. Build a bathroom, build some trashcans, build some offices. Collect money and wait. Then repeat for every floor, the break in the monotony is having to build an extra electrical box. I mean, it WORKS and there are MECHANICS, they just dont lead anywhere. I would describe the game as "Functional". I feel like for 15 dollars, I wanted goals more in depth than having a certain number of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mad Tower Tycoon is a rather faithful recreation of SimTower and I've been wondering if there would ever be a good replacement for decades. Lo and behold, it has arrived! For all those unfamiliar with SimTower: you build a tower (vertically and horizontally), put rooms in, manage the elevators, stress level of occupants and finances and you do so on an ever increasing scale until you run out of either patience or room. You unlock levels that grant you skill points that give you some passive…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game State: - 12 hours in - Reached 5 stars - Have enough money to buy all lands - Unlocked all skills and facilities Impression (Like): I bought this because I heard its similar to Sim Tower and its one of my favourite games of all time. The game lives up to this expectation. It is basically Sim Tower with better graphics, and since Maxims had long abandoned the franchise Mad Tower Tycoon is my go to game now for tower sim. Suggested improvement: While some may argue that the game is a bit…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For people that played the old SimTower game, this game will be instantly familiar. Just like SimTower, once you reach a certain inflection point the tower runs itself, but you will constantly be tweaking things here and there while you strive for 100 floors. The only thing I am not a fan of is the "zombie apocalypse" events. That kind of feels forced, but beyond that this is a stellar game for those who love building simulators or who played SimTower and loved it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I typed Sim Tower into Steam, Mad Tower Tycoon came up. I am now playing a game that scratches an itch 25 years old. If you were looking for a game that continues Sim Tower, here it is. Thank you dev. I type Sim Tower into steam roughly twice a year, every year--finally my search bore fruit. Your version of the game style, Mad Tower Tycoon, hits exactly and improves in many ways. Bravo.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game is not that complicated .... it is very easy a kid version of Project Highrise. i finished every thing in like 5-6 hours and kept it running in the background for 25+ hours so i can get 100% achievement. nothing get effected by other type building ,,, graphics is good but as a whole game i didnot like it.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The product is marketed and looks as the new Sim Tower / Yoot Tower. Even some reviews would make that comparison. I want the product to be the new Sim Tower but unfortunately this does not come close. It has the 100 floors, the offices and condos, the theaters and the maintance rooms. But the game design is broken on many parts like pathfinding, balancing (elevators, stairs, needs of specific offices/ condos and disasters) and on graphical level falls short with blurry textures, and…

unlabelledView post →I would love to come back to this game if it gets a visual reassessment. To me it looks like a strange dream bordering on nightmare. Things are very dark, the advisors look like they're strongly against impeachment, and thick, chunky dark lines are everywhere. Compare this style to SimTower which has clean silhouettes for people and bright, tidy, inviting rooms. I feel bad for putting this ugly tower amidst the green rolling hills. Is there a window in any of the rooms that actually let…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game that feels like sim tower but modified. best tower simulator game I have played. Lots of options for your tower to make it your way. Only issue is the lag. After building a lot of units (around 25 floors) the game greatly slows down and the fps drops down to 3-10 fps. When starting my tower I was getting 60 fps.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just not any fun at all. No real explanation on what to do, where to go or what is happening. The tutorial does a horrible job explaining and just falls flat on execution. If you're looking for a fun sim/management game this is not it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Follow our curator for similar games https://store.steampowered.com/curator/35180752-3-point-play/ SimTower like + in-depth + stats = Prepare to sink a lot of time into this building mgmt sim game. The 4 phases you will experience are: build, expand, demolish, rebuild. There is a learning curve.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought this game with the idea that it was kinda like SimTower, just as the other reviews mention. However, even while the attempt is close. It's not close enough. The game feels chaotic, controls of camera (Especially the middle mouse look) is wonky. Pros: - Is a close resemblance to SimTower. - Nice 3D artstyle. - More randomized constructions, like the shop is nicely random. Cons: - Is a >close< resemblance to SimTower. - Game feels chaotic, not a game you play on 1x speed due to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game that rivals even Sim Tower from back in the day. Fun game, well thought out mechanics and gameplay elements. Just needs Eggcode to come back and give this game some QoL updates and maybe some small DLC releases. Like opening up the game to workshop to let players make new content to extend the life of the game...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't feel any ownership or agency in this game, so why keep playing? Core game play loop is boring. There is nothing to do while waiting for rent. Very few options for micro-managing. If the game gave more management and building options I would feel like I was engaged with the tower by catering to it's needs. but no. Maybe the late game gets more interesting but I would guess it just gives you more to watch instead of more to do. I think this was their complete game design doc: "Design…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A simple little time waster that looks kind of pretty too. Reminds me of Sim tower from my younger days (yes I'm old)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Project Highrise is one of my favorite games but there's not too many like it when you want something similar but different. I was hoping this one would scratch that itch and it just doesn't. I personally don't like super complicated games, and Project Highrise is pretty good in that department: not too hard, not too simple. This game, however, is super watered down to the point of being too simple even for my tastes. I wanted to like it but it just didn't have enough to keep me going. If…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is it Sim tower? Yes. It really is. And more. But, I wouldn't call it a masterpiece of the genre. I don't really see an end scenario as you just sorta speed time up to get money. It works, it isn't buggy, but I wouldn't call it defining or ground breaking... it is what it is and it scratches a good itch. 7/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First, I like this game better than Project Highrise. Mad Tower Tycoon IMO requires less thinking which is perfect when all I want to do in a game is chill and enjoy it. And I prefer the art style in MTT. SIMILAR TO SIM TOWER If you liked Sim Tower from the 1990's you will probably like this game. And MTT actually fits your screen! Keep in mind though Mad Tower Tycoon might have similarities but it isn't a direct copy of Sim Tower. One major similiarity is the simplicity in game mechanics…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only complaint? I want to unlock things faster so i don't have to tear down and rebuild when something new unlocks lol This is a great game. The scenarios are challenging, to the point that they feel impossible. You have to play it a few times to get a grip on how to set up your building. I've only got 53 hours so far and still haven't gotten 3 stars on the first scenario... maybe I just suck at this one... but it's fun and that's all that matters to me!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic, i remember sim tower and loved it years ago. This is better of course and lived up to every expectation!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overview All of the dinosaurs who could remember SimTower have likely kicked the bucket a long time ago, so most readers will only get confused if ol' Il Pallino was to describe Mad Tower Tycoon as the true spiritual successor to SimTower, so let it be known that Mad Tower Tycoon is similar in concept to Project Highrise, only without being the same sort of snoozefest. Corner-cutting aside, Mad Tower Tycoon is best described as a management sim where the player builds a highrise building…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is surprisingly addictive. The graphics are good and so far there has been some nice progression through the different content. There is a significant feel of the old Maxis Sim Tower in this, but that is OK for me as loved that game and this advances things nicely for now.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is playable and I would consider it pretty average or neutral, but after playing for awhile now I"m leaning more toward not recommending it personally. For whatever that's worth. Best to get on sale if you really want to get it. Just it get pretty monotonous after awhile and I'm not sure I see much that makes it special compared to other similar simulation type games. There just isn't much to this game, it gets pretty repetitive quickly. Maybe if it was a mobile game it would be…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →just a fun time killer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Project Highrise and Mad Tower Tycoon - both games are great spiritual successors to SimTower. I would even go as far saying they offer a slightly different spin on the tower building genre. Does Two Point Hospital count? It's pretty much Theme Hospital but without the brand name. Parkitect and Rollercoaster Tycoon - they do add a lot of new features and gameplay mechanics. Modding has also supercharged the experience, their workshop feels like it has content on every theme in large…
unlabelledView post →Very sub par game, that released out of early access, with absolutely no updates or fixes once it released. Maybe worth 5$.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Note, this is not the same developer that made [Mad Tower Tycoon](https://store.steampowered.com/app/910880/Mad_Tower_Tycoon/) and [Mad Games Tycoon](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1342330/Mad_Games_Tycoon_2/) (both excellent games). Superficially, this does not look as well developed as Eggcode's now classic titles.
unlabelledView post →The game looks a lot more fun than it actually is. There is no task or explanation of what to do, and the objectives are not clear enough. It has a really bad tutorial and an even worse UI.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This seems like the best 3D homage to Sim Tower that I know of, which was one of my fav sim games ever. Its far from perfect because it doesnt have much frills or elaborate management controls or reports, but its all good enough to make it worth the core gameplay loop: Build to attract tenants/visitors, earn $, maintain, and keep people happy. If your end goal is to build 100 floors and 5 stars, then all achievements are natural to get as long as you start a game with not all the available land…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yoot would be proud. It has a little work to go, building elevators is a bit tedious, but it certainly has a SimTower feel that I haven't enjoyed this much in several franchise attempts.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played their previous game Mad Games Tycoon and it was great, one of the best game development games, alongside Kairosoft's mobile Game Dev Story. Because of how well that game felt I impulse bought this game because I thought it would be a better tower building game, but it wasn't. There seems to be no reason for you to want to play, nothing to keep me playing. Mad Games Tycoon has competition, technologies development and rating systems. While I have not played for an extensive amount of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been playing a lot of Mad Tower Tycoon in my everlasting quest for a rush that feels like SimTower again, and... man, I have a lot of thoughts about it. I want to make a blog post about it. I want to make my own game about it. I want to figure out elevator planning again.

I love the euro-focused scenarios and time-period selection. The visuals have their own distinct style. The game is also pretty hard and requires you to think about the core model of the game (which is a decent approximation of reality). Runner-up:…
unlabelledView post →Developers, please make more games like this. Take an old classic -- SimTower -- make it a little better and more modern, offer a nice clear progression and win in a reasonable amount of time. We don't need every game to be live service or infinite content drip. Just make something fun for 10-20 hours, and then make a sequel in a few years. Good work here, had a great time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall a pretty good game. Feels very much like Sim Tower, but they put their own spin on it. Leveling up is a bit too grindy, but I do really enjoy it. My biggest gripe with the game is that I don't think the devs have any idea how elevators/lifts work. They give you 4 really odd options on how to operate them and none of them are even close to how an elevator actually operates.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The maintance is very unrealistic and unable to click on stores or items behind the elevators. I cant access those areas. I either have to delete me 110 storey elevator and then edit the room or leave the room jacked up. Lots of room for the developers to improve and cant give a thumbs up with these issues. Sound is also a horrible issues. You can seem to get anyone happy without wasting tons of space in your tower between rooms and it doesnt look neat or clean after. NEEDS IMPOVEMENTS!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you liked Sim Tower and Project Highrise then you'll love this game. You're given several options of offices, housing, hotel rooms, and multiple services and attractions. Then build up. Game has good layer support to help identify noise, smells and criminal activities. Very enjoyable, cute graphics and events, and a very catchy sound track.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A vertical city builder. ...Not bad! Controls feel a bit awkward at first, but it doesn't take too long to adjust. Somewhat of a learning curve early-on, as it is hard to start in a modest-enough way that will keep you profitable in the early stage and able to keep building. But once you get off the ground (literally!), the creative times can begin and trying different designs is quite chilled and entertaining. It maybe takes a bit too much time to unlock all the gadgets and room-types though.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's good for the price. Needs a bit of polishing but if you loved Sim Tower back in the days you will like this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am quickly bored after playing a few hours.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is super fun and I am already addicted. I enjoy the balance of money earned vs. money loss. I enjoy the details put into the people and offices when you zoom in. The music is great! Everything that I have been waiting for in a tycoon! A+++++ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FAVffTQMnF8
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sorry this game is a BIG BORING NO!!! 32 hours which means I gave it way too much time. This game only has apartments only two versions big and small and hotel rooms, again big and small, office spaces... big and small. You can sell condos but its pretty stupid to sell a condo because you get more cash up front but for the next 50 years you don't get any more cash on a monthly basis and this game is about cash flow. I wanted to just have fun with this game but it really lacks variety. Okay I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oh, wow...this game brings back so many memories! Anybody who played SimTower back in the day will instantly recognize the layout...and if you enjoyed SimTower, you will not be disappointed! This game brings back the base game, as well as numerous improvements. Buy it, play it, love it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →finally dev made a game like this since simtower 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its sim tower. That's really all there is to say. If you liked Sim tower in the early 90s, you'll like this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game could have been 5 stars as a remake of SimTower. However what was the most irritating aspect was renovating rooms. The maintenance room has to be placed on every level, that or please give an option to renovate all at once or at least shortcut key for renovate. The AI for lifts could be improved.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice stress free chillax game, RELAXXXXXXXXXXXX
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You have good options what you like to build. A mall an office or hotel. (+more stuff) Also can be very relaxing just looking at the foks moving.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game overall but personally after some time i lost interest. Yet no a bad game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game was released with a major flaw in choosing visitor pathing, which seems to be well known, and yet it wasn`t addressed. It spoils the gameplay a lot.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am really diggin' this game! There is something very ASMR about building a skyscraper and watching all the people with the goofy faces go about their business. The tutorial gives you a nice natural start to the game, explaining the basics well. Then it lets you go for your own discovery of all the neat little units you can add to your building. The designers made it so you will have better success by trying different strategies with aligning your units, without it feeling too chaotic or…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like the game MTT aims to be a spiritual successor to, it's fun for a while but runs out of steam about halfway through the unlockables. I can totally recommend this game at the base price, though! MTT is much like SimTower, having the same basic room types and many of the same unlockables. It's a very easy game once you know the basics of elevator usage-15 floors and then change over, leave room for 3 elevator widths per shaft-and lacks any sort of severe challenge. The graphics aren't bad at…
