positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →$26 CAD is criminal for a game inferior to most asset flips masquerading as games on here. Puzzles are largely obtuse at best, physics is broken, controls poorly and there is no coherent throughline to the "story" just a disjointed attempt at one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I usually enjoy playing escape room games but this one was a huge disappointment. The game feels unpolished and there are very few puzzles in each of the "rooms". The puzzles itself aren't too difficult. They just feel a little uninspired (lots of keypads) and some are really obscure so you have no idea what to do next unless you look at the clues. As for the clues, instead of giving you one at a time you get them all at once so it's super easy to spoil any of the later puzzles for you.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The puzzles make no logical sense, and the "story" is nonsensical unrelated rooms barely tied together with bizarre voice acting. I feel like I've lost braincells for having played this. This hardly counts as a puzzle game, much less an 'escape' room one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Many of the puzzles are just too obtuse - and if you get stuck, there's nothing in the environment to give you an idea as to what to do. If you go for the ingame hints, you get them all at once for all puzzles since there isn't a true hint system in place. The overall puzzle difficulty feels like the original myst - which is to say very difficult. If you get truly stuck, the game itself won't tell you how exactly to solve any puzzle either, you're going to have to pull up a guide. Also the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played a lot of multiplayer escape rooms on steam and this is my least favorite by far. A lot of the puzzles are kind of a stretch and the hints are not really helpful. Additionally, instead of giving one hint at a time to help progression it is all on one sheet so you may spoil the puzzle for yourself. I only did the first room because to be honest I'm too annoyed to bother with the others.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is an alright concept but it's still full of bugs and constant glitches. The lack of audio controls has resulted in me not recommending this game. The volume for clicking on things and browsing through the menus is unbearably loud and has no option to turn it down. The only audio settings you can turn down is music and ambient sounds....
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Puzzles are obtuse enough that, as other reviewers mentioned, you need to use the clues in the menu to solve them. I usually breeze through puzzles but these can barely be called puzzles at all. They require leaps of logic, random assumptions, and sometimes outright ignoring random information. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone that enjoys puzzles, even on sale. It's not worth your time for free.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, my good friend recently told me about this game(and how bad it is) and he bought it for me so we could play together. In doing so, I think this is the worst puzzle game I've ever played. There's roughly 16 puzzles in the game over 3 levels. Now, I can understand smaller developers not being as able to create very long games, but this is a pitiful amount of content for the fifteen dollars compared to similar length puzzle games(The Room, Cube Escape, etc.) There is also an addition of a DLC,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The puzzle escape rooms themselves are fun & challenging with several cool themed rooms. There's a lot of good, quality content here for the price. They also support online multiplayer co-op.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unintuitive puzzles and buggy as hell in MP.... (unfortunatly) Can't recommend!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Did not appreciate the puzzles, found them unintuitive and not enjoyable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Some of the puzzles were too vague for me. I didn't enjoy my time with it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a massive fan of escape rooms and point and click games this was deeply disappointing. The controls were clunky and puzzles were mainly keypad codes and were either too easy or need a leap to figure out. An inventory for items would have also been helpful. The poorly constructed story element was entirely pointless as it didn't add anything to the game or was even remotely interesting. 2/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played through all 3 of the rooms in about 2 hours - pretty disappointing. Puzzles are either an instant answer or something really obscure it starts to annoy you, there isn't much satisfaction from working them out. The game also really needs an inventory system since you end up picking up and dropping puzzle notes all over the room. Or in my case dropping an important key *somewhere* in the dark when picking up another object.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played a lot of escape room games, and real escape rooms. I genuinely didn't enjoy this as much as I should. Ignoring the not great controls and the limit of you can only carry one item at a time (which then has some annoying controls to rotating and examining). Several of the puzzles just seem like filler to make it longer. Needing to know Water is H2O is not great, yes most people do, but I prefer puzzles that don't recall prior knowledge. Then the nauseating maze that is just go…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're looking for a good escape room game, I wouldn't recommend this. Positives: +Has good background music +Graphics are nice Negatives: -One of the highest prices I've seen for an escape room game -Rooms are small and short. -Some puzzles are pretty obscure and unintuitive even with hints, and that's what the game relies on to make the rooms "last longer". The rooms themselves are short. -Lore is a bland wall of text that amounts to nothing. You can make decisions on the lore, and the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm a big fan of the genre and as a result, I tend to always enjoy myself during those games. Unfortunately this one was a big let down: I found the puzzles to be really bad. The instructions are either unclear or plain wrong (depending on what you have solved already). There is no originality in the puzzles, so it's really about solving classic puzzles, but that take a lot of time because nothing is clear and well-defined (yes that means there aren't a lot of them). Graphics aren't great, and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Chapter 2 broke. Can't pathfind down the stairs. Puzzles somewhat uninspired.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't even have any specific things I want to complain about. Every part of it is similarly awful.

Of course this is my opinion. I understand this is an escape room game but most escape room games at least have a rhythm of where to go next. I felt this one did not have that rhythm. The rooms and scenes/scenery is very pretty. The atmosphere is also very good, but having…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →my god is does this game feel bad to play. The puzzles were meh but i couldnt enjoy it because this game has some of the worst controls and physics i have seen in a long time. It feels like you are fighting with the game to do anything.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Clunky, both in terms of the interface and the puzzles.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very challenging but awesome game - highly recommend with multiple other people!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was dope. A couple of buddies, some beers and some puzzles. What more could you want. Make more games like this. Thanks bro.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My friends and I have done a lot of escape rooms in our time and this one was, quite frankly, absolutely atrocious. We came across a pretty major bug in the first room where you press a button to play as a rat in a maze, and the rat was just clipped into the ceiling so no one could move but could hear running sounds, so we had to look up the solution lol Pressing on, you'll find three escape rooms with only a few puzzles each, mainly of which require weird jumps in logic and a tacked on vague…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Note: I played only single player mode. I bought the game at 50% off. So I played through the first chapter on single player. I tried to play the second chapter but after 20 or so minutes decided to not waste more of my time on it. The thing is, it is not a very good escape room game. Heck, it is not even a good puzzle game. Some of the puzzles are made confusing for the sake of prolonging game time it feels like... It is also poorly optimized, The 1st chapter takes place in 3 rooms with…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gorgeous props, puzzles feel like real life but without the sticky locks. Graphics sliders actually matter on my potato PC.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Soloed this game today; puzzles were logical, hints optional, and the story of Professor Cheshire hooked me for the sequels. Entire trilogy runs perfectly on Steam Deck as well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought this during a Steam sale for myself and a mate—thankfully at a discount. Chapter 1 was decent enough to trick us into optimism, but Chapter 2 quickly turned sour with a frustrating bug involving masks that rendered the game unplayable—turning the escape room into a rather bleak existential crisis. (Until we restarted the chapter, many many minutes later). It wasn't just occasional glitches; the entire server-to-client item syncing seemed designed after a pub crawl. Items randomly…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this game with friends. The puzzles are fair, not too challenging. 😎 But it's a bit short, with 3 chapters only. The game can be finished within 2 hours. I used a bit time to complete all the achievements. (Speedrun for chapter 3 is quite challenging) Recommend to buy it when it's on sale, as the gameplay is short.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A beautiful game. Enjoy every minute of it. You have to focus a little. You will find difficulties, but they will not be a big obstacle.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The concept is good, however the solutions to puzzles are unintuitive. One could be due to non-native english, but overall it is not exactly visible what does or does not belong to a puzzle. Played it solo, maybe its better with friends. There are better options in my opinion
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Each room has at least one puzzle that required external knowledge to figure out which doesn't make for a very satisfying solve. And some puzzles required a leap in logic that isn't intuitive. Some fun ideas but ultimately was more aggravating than enjoyable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mad Experiments: Escape Room is, to nobody's surprise, a simple escape room first person puzzle game, limited in scope and nature even compared with other first person puzzlers like Portal (which this is priced far more expensively than). This does mildly scrape out of the "asset flip" epithet as the developer has credited the people who's assets he's "borrowed" (at least I think he's done all of them). We all know using other people's work for profit without at least crediting them is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sadly as a huge fan of Escape Room Games, I cant really recommend this one at its price. The game has 1 level that takes a max of a half hour if you are being slow and playing around. The games graphics arent terrible but nothing to write home about. The puzzles are kind of lacking and as someone else mentioned, sometimes you have to just blatantly ignore some information. If the game was 5 dollars, sure, I can see it worth that but not 15 dollars. Not when there are other games of the same…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Mad Experiments" is an escape room game that concentrates all the necessary elements to offer you some very entertaining hours of playtime with your friends. It has three rooms with different aesthetics and nice mysterious atmosphere, well designed, challenging puzzles, responsive control mechanics and seamless co-op experience. If the puzzles were more imaginative and refreshing instead of worn pattern matching or find the code ones it would be so much better. Manometer: 7/10 The good - A…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple but fun and challenging!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good co-op puzzle game. However only 3 chapters so approx 3-4 hours of gameplay.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →+ Beautiful visuals and calm music. Solid complicated puzzles (maybe a bit too hard and unclear sometimes though). Multiplayer (always a big plus for room escapes). - Not much explained story. No option to restart room in multiplayer without exit to main menu. = Thank you for a nice experience :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the most stunning escape rooms I have ever played! The environments were so beautiful that I would just explore them after the rooms, great highlight!! The puzzles were extremely clever which really got me thinking outside of the box or very obviously into the box as me and my friends highly overthought some of them! Some puzzles were a little generic but the other ones strongly made it up! Also, I loved how the puzzles and environment went with the story as sadly this isn't a common…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got in touch with the trainers of Monica and invited him to play a more complex puzzle game with me, and they agreed to let him do it with me! We enjoyed the puzzles that this game had to offer because it reminded me of actual escape rooms. Thankfully Monica was better than some of my real-life friends.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If this game was $15 for a 4-pack or something, then I 100% recommend this game. As-is you've got 3-4 hours of game and zero replayability. That's $4-5/hr, which ranks it as one of the least economical games ever. The puzzles and everything are actually really, really good. Our first run through the box glitched through the fireplace and fell out of the universe, so we were lost and had to restart, but no other glitches. The clues are more of a red herring than actual clues most of the time. I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →OMG of all the escape rooms on steam this is my fav! I loved it. There are 3 chapters. I did only 1 with Wes. The clues are clever. I would say you may enjoy the game if you like a variety of puzzle types and riddles. I thought the game was well made. The puzzles were unique to Escape Rooms that I have done before. I would recommend though to change the Field of View from the default setting of 60 to 90. YAY! We escaped.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun escape room game (Played it with a friend). There were a few bugs, but they were patched out pretty fast by the developer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The puzzles are straightforward and easy to follow, and it's a relatively short experience that can be completed in under 2 hours. What I don't like however is the story: it's totally nonsensical, illogical, and requires so many leaps in logic. I walked away not understanding at all what was going on or why I was doing what I did. The first level seemed straightforward, then suddenly level 2 is a complete break from everything else.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Timer stressed me out too much. I like to take my time so I activated "relaxed mode". But I can admit the design is solid, and for people who like pressure, this is gold.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Perfect first escape room for my kids (with relax mode on). Watching them piece clues together was priceless.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this game from a Jingle Jam charity drive, so technically free. This game is not particularly good, it's not terrible either. The puzzles are okay, the physics however are buggy. For example, puzzle 3 has a sequence of animations that need to play for you to get the key, if you pause the game, the sequence breaks and you have to start over. Other times, the physics simply refused to perform as intended. This would normally not be issue for, except for the fact that there is a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very buggy. The room startet for one of our party again / new - many times. Very frustrating
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Couldnt put myself through more than one room. Controls are clunky at best, the graphics are present, the fun in solving those riddles unfortunately was not.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Puzzles are extremely un-intuitive, I dislike how things just float in the air when you put them down, the "extra clues" you can access from the menu mid-game are useless. I got this for less than 10 dollars in a humble-bundle, and I still feel like I paid way too much.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I absolutely love this game. It is a relaxing game if played on Easy mode and a nice challenge if not. Good Luck to new Players!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is bad, and you devs should feel bad. I don't know about the VR version (my VR is currently out of order due to the lack of a room for it), but the desktop version made me throw my computer out of the window. (Not wanting to, I actually did) 1. Lighting: Others would call it moody, I call it: I can't see s***t. Either you crank the gamma up to the b*lls and bright areas are so overexposed you can't see a thing, or you leave it as it is, and the whole thing is basically black in black. A…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice escape room to play with friends
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a LOVELY game to play with friends. I just wish it was longer than 3 chapters because I paid for it. For 3 chapters it should be free.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the better, if not best, co-op escape rooms on Steam. The three rooms are unique, with the kids room and "dream" world the most interesting. The puzzles are generally liminal, but abstract enough to be creative and engaging. The multiplayer worked well, although your character model is just a floating mask. There are speed-run achievements to beat the levels as fast as possible, which funnily enough adds an extra layer of complexity to the puzzle solving. After going through plenty, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surprised by how smooth this game played and was well designed for the timer (60 minutes), some rooms were better than others in my opinion, but all of them were above average.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game feels like the perfect difficulty to be enjoyable. Interacting with objects can be a little annoying especially when rotating but it's not a big deal. I would love to see more escape rooms from this developer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very pricey for how short it is, would get it on the sale if you want it. I have a pretty good computer and the game crashed multiple times. I got soft locked a couple times playing multiplayer. Some of the puzzles are incredibly complex, but that’s not a bad thing. I was looking for escape room games, and it didn’t upset me too much, so I will give it four stars. To reiterate, not worth 15$, but I spent it and had fun, so it was alright.
