When I started this game I knew immediately it was French. I had no idea what to do, everything looked extremely strange and the sounds were alien yet funny. After playing it for some time not much has changed. I know now that I have to traverse along the level, can jump on other creatures to run around with them, have to stand on plants to…

I have a crochet pattern which came as a game DLC for this cute critter from Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles. Might make a squishy plushie perhaps? The pattern is a PDF file. Please message me if you'd like it.

For that you have to move some kind of energy source into certain positions by using the ever expanding variety of tools, i.e. puzzle mechanics. There is nothing more to say without giving too much away because Lumote manages in a spectacular way to confuse the player with all those flashy neon colors and shiny objects. And learning to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing little platformer with an innovative and simple mechanic, powering your environment. Its really pretty, and surprisingly optimized for how much puzzle-ing there is in this game. 10/10 would lumote again (Marked as recieved for free because I streamed it in beta, will be buying this for friends)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was going to wait to beat the game before writing a review, but I'm not certain when exactly this will be, so I've decided now wouldn't be a bad time. I have seen all the tricks this game has to offer at this point seeing as I'm in the 3rd layer down. Lumote has started to combine the various elements in unique ways, not simply introduce new elements. In short, if you like 3d puzzle games, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not checking this one out. Lumote seems to have flown a bit…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was suggested by a few people in my Twitch family, and Luminawesome was kind enough to give me a key. It has to be the most adorable squishiness on Steam. The colors, the sound, the easy controls, the chill puzzles are so much super fun to play. I was sick and still played for two hours. I got stuck a few times because I was overcomplicating it, but I look down at future levels and know it’s gonna get tricky. I definitely got chills when the darker audio came into play and I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lumote is a very approachable atmospheric puzzle game with unique mechanics. Your character can power up objects around them to achieve different effects and there are energy currents running through the levels which you manipulate to progress through the game. The level-scape is quite pretty and the ambiance is relaxing. This game's puzzles start out fairly casual, building up in complexity at an even pace. I did get stumped a few times, a sign that there's some challenge here. One of the devs…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I honestly have some mixed feelings about this game. First of all the good stuff: A lot of the game's design is really good. From the colorful visuals to the sound design, everything about this game looks, sounds, and feels really good. The problem I have with this game is with the puzzles, themselves. About halfway through, I felt like they started to get much less intuitive and required a lot of moving parts to get from start to finish. Many puzzles need you to move one object to one spot…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautiful puzzle game with an adorable squishy parasite you can knit for yourself! The controls are easy to use and the puzzles are a lot of fun to work out. Verry addicting, just-one-more feels. https://youtu.be/WVNUIya8EfI
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Video First Impressions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=toFBu2rv8XY Written First Impressions I really love what I've played so far of Lumote. I plan to continue my playthrough, and will update this review accordingly. But from what I've experienced so far, the game is incredibly cute and beautiful aesthetically, while having engaging puzzles right from the get-go. Walking through the levels and taking in the sights is really fun. Everything looks ambiguous and interesting. Creatures are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately I can't recommend this game. Level and sound design are very good, but at a certain point the puzzle mechanics start to be less and less intuitive. Additionally, the game isn't rewarding at all: after completing a puzzle, there's simply another one. Some puzzles also seemed to be rather tedious than challenging. I did not have fun anymore after some levels and forced myself to keep going for some more and then stopped playing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is absolutely gorgeous & atmospheric. The puzzle design is neat, featuring tons of puzzles based on simple elements which obey clear rules and interact in interesting ways. While I liked the game, I did have a bunch of criticisms: 1) It's laughably easy to die, or get squished, or fall down while trying to obtain a collectable... and then you have to replay the current puzzle level due to the checkpointing system. Wow. This got particularly annoying in world 2; I died soooo often…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first noticeable good thing about this game is the visuals, they're gorgeous! So colorful yet very few colors,it's perfect for nighttime gaming. The lights, choices of color, the shapes of objects, they're beautiful. However this isn't the only good. The sounds and music make the world feel alive and atmospheric. I think the best part of this game is level design. Gameplay and puzzles are based upon interacting with different species and controlling them. Each has their own abilities, uses and…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very addictive puzzle game. Already spent more time playing this game than Red Dead 2 or Fallen Order, both of which I have owned for a couple of months. Would definitely recommend if you like puzzle style games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautifully atmospheric, charming and immersive world with thoughtful and enjoying platform puzzles. This game is perfect for kicking back and relaxing while still be engaging through it's excellently paced platforming and puzzles. The game never tells you what to do, instead you learn through exploration and experimentation, which is inherently rewarding. The game world itself is vibrant, moody, and beautifully bioluminescent which is itself rewarding simply to explore. One caveat, I've only…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite a disappointing game. There may be spoilers. The story is about two parasites who fight over a bubble and one is banished and tries to take over the other's territory. The puzzles quickly become boring and as a chors there is almost nothing to explore and discover except . The things to search for are like this, one for each level with a puzzle and they are taken only once in total for all saves, and when you take one, it is saved immediately, but. If you go through the flower checkpoint,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Me getting this game, It looks alright... not bad. ME playing, OMG IT IS SO CUTE!!! Must stop before I'm up all night Pros: - fun cute puzzles - Very zen - Unqiue spin on classics that make it familiar but unique Cons: - Very basic if your looking for advance puzzles - Not very colour bind/sensory friendly - The controls some times are not as responsive as I'd like. Honestly it's a super cute game and I'm glad i tried it. It's got a lot of hours to sink into it but unless your looking for a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a gorgeous game (the trailer and screenshots don't convey the full impact seeing the whole world arrayed around you). The mechanics are varied while still feeling like a systematic, cohesive whole. The puzzles themselves are not too hard (similar to other atmospheric puzzle games like Manifold Garden), and I never felt like the solutions were unfair. Overall a well designed solid game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A surreal puzzle platformer with strange but understandable mechanics and amazing eyecandy graphics. The game is entirely non-verbal (and succeeds at showing rather than telling) so it won't explain how any of these strange creatures work, but there's a consistent logic behind them all and it's your job to figure it all out. The entire game is layed out before you and stretches far into the distance, it's pretty impressive to see it all down there. Each puzzle room will take about 5 minutes,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lumote is one of the coolest, most colorful puzzle game I've ever came in contact with, not only are the colors vibrant, but the music is so chill and relaxing. You can lose hours playing and not even realize it. 5 stars.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love puzzle games and this one it moving up my list of favorites! The music is so amazing and I can't wait to get my hands on the soundtrack. The puzzles so far have been the right amount of challenging and level design has been delightful. I can't recommend this game enough. (I did receive my key during the demo for free to stream)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun, colorful and inventive . Lumote has you simply getting to the goal, light up the paths to blue, complete the circuit - easy peasy, right? starts off a bit easy, and gets slower more complex as you continue, showing you the entire world, and your progress at all times ( red = not done, blue = done ) It's neat how you can always sorta see the path you've taken, and where you're going to end up - neat effect. controller friendly, m and KB friendly - andwell optimised. recommended on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is beautiful! I'm not too far in but the sound, level and graphical design are up there with the best! Beautiful puzzle game that's 100% worth playing, even if its just for the squishyness!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I honestly feel bad for not liking Lumote, but it just wasn’t that good. The strongest part of the game was definitely the art style. The colors and environments are really pretty and visually interesting, which is what kept me playing as long as I did. Unfortunately, the puzzles felt confusing more than rewarding, and I never really felt compelled to keep going. Overall it just ended up feeling boring and hard to stay invested in. Pretty colors aside, I definitely don’t think it’s worth $20.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This semi-hesitant recommendation is predicated on the game being cheap enough that you don't mind tapping out at the "halfway" point like I did. I finished all of Lumote's base content, feeling relatively satisifed. I felt like the visuals and music were overly repetitive and some of the later puzzles pretty finicky, but I had an alright time overall. Unfortunately, World 2 continues to have largely the exact same visual and musical aesthetics, and did not provide any indication that there…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cute little puzzle platformer. Runs perfectly fine on the SteamDeck.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[Fully played on steamdeck LCD] You will play both parasites: one that turn red things to blue, the other that turn blue things to red. The first world (as the achievement says) is easy, the overall puzzles will be like this thingy, nothing complex. And the second world starts with precise jumping maps so I was like "Oh, the 2nd world is filled with this precise jump control puzzles, sick." But nope, just same puzzles that can be bypassed with that precise jump control. (3rd world is just same…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lumote is a unique puzzle platformer with 2 worlds, 2 playable characters and a bunch of collectibles exclusive to the first world. The first world is huge with 6 towers and 60 puzzle rooms total. Once completed, a second world is unlocked with a new character. That one has 25 puzzle rooms, the puzzles are slightly less complex, favouring platforming and timing a bit more. The game’s graphics/style is absolutely dreamy. I think it’s supposed to convey underwater which is pretty convincing. I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles unfolds like a serene descent through an otherworldly ocean of light, presenting a puzzle-platformer that prioritizes atmosphere, rhythm, and spatial logic over narrative exposition or mechanical complexity. Playing as Lumote — a soft, bioluminescent creature made of gentle pulses and curious chirps — you are dropped into the Great Depths, a massive living structure overtaken by red corruption. The world itself becomes your guide as you move deeper, lighting…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wholesome. Creative. Pretty.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lumote is a beautiful game with great puzzles. I'm particularly a fan of their difficulty curve and onboarding to new mechanics. I think I only got stuck on two puzzles, and to be fair, that was towards the end of the game and when I was probably very tired. If you like puzzle games, solid Level design, and great Audio design then this is definitely a game for you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic music and visuals, but is just a puzzle game. if its your thing then go ham you'll probably love it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a developer on this game I can say I have no ulterior motives in telling you that this game is great and you should totally purchase it. Pretty light, chill music and fun puzzles what more can you ask! For real though I hope you all enjoy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hope everybody having a nice Saturday. Got a few Switch arrivals from past few days to add to the collection. Lumote should be a fun one to play through. Also, finally picked up the Bluey game with gnome and I even got the gnome I wanted out of the two options. Boba! #SwitchCorps

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles is a strange but very cute 3D puzzle platformer. The whole game is one giant world to explore with weird creatures you mind control by standing on top of them. store.steampowered.com/app/791240/L...
unlabelledView post →This is one of the best puzzle-platformer game, maybe even the best if we are talking about full 3d prespective puzzle games, and it has two characteristics that give it an extra boost compared to many other similar games: 1. After the first rooms the solution will almost always be to think laterally and/or creatively a lot, not doing a series of a lot of boring passages and/or searching for a tiny bit of something easily missable if you don't look very closely, a very rare characteristic in…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What do I Am Fish, Akimbot & Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles have in common? They all have similar styles and features to Astro Bot ( #GameOfTheYear at #TheGameAwards ), but didn't quite see the same success despite being very high quality! positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super cute, beautiful, relaxing puzzle platformer. I love the world and colors, underrated game. The puzzles are not too complex, although they do get harder as you progress. There was 1 that I couldn't figure out after having tried several times, but overall, solid gameplay.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a good game with cool atmosphere and funny little jelly thing
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Charming little puzzle platformer! It's light on the platforming and timed puzzles, but they are there. Not too challenging, but does get the ol' grey matter working!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I LOVED Lumote! What a fun, adorable game. It was the perfect level of challenging. The puzzles were unique and interesting, and I had a really great time getting through it. The atmosphere was totally my aesthetic, and all the cute little noise the Mote made had me smiling so much. If you love fun puzzle games, this is definitely worth your while!
