Most notable of which, your ship can be rolled-back to an earlier version (including the inventories of any containers you have aboard), or can simply disappear altogether. In a survival-crafting game where your ship is supposed to be your central base of operations, and the sole method for traversing the game's sprawling open world, I shouldn't have to explain why this is a game-breaking issue.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →===== Edit: 14 hours in Okay, no. I take it back. Do not get this one. What an absolute mess of a game. Bugging through walls and dealing with the irritating building system, I can endure. Taking sometimes literal 10 minutes of sailing through Nothing in order to get to the next set of islands to explore, leaving you almost nothing to do in between because everything you would want to change requires your ship to be in a stationary bubble. Fine. I'm used to my time being wasted. But…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Devs begin making a game, then abandon it, and years later repackage the assets and engine of said game into a "singleplayer" experience which is a buggy mess that they put into "Early Access" for like, 6 months, then release it as "finished" with the "Midlands" as a final region for the game. That is the story of this game. Bossa Studio are frauds who are selling an incomplete mess of a sandbox to people. Most of the content is player-made, and it shows by how untested and unpolished a lot of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A buggy, unfinished mess. Don't call your game a 'full release' if it barely counts as such. Stop calling every negative review a 'review bomb', you mindless children.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is completely full of bugs even after doing hotfix after hotfix the devs end up making new bugs i bought the game back during the early release paid $40 for it had more islands to explore then it does now. The reticle for the grapple hook is gone if you beat the arbitor you'll lose your drops if your not fast enough to get on it since they'll just fall into the void, the rubber banding is completely out of hand I really wanted to love this game but the constant bugs and the fact that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to love this game. It has a ton of potential — the world design, the ship concept, the sense of exploration — all of it feels like it could be something special. But the early-game experience completely killed my motivation. I ended up stranded after dying, respawned on a higher-level island far from my ship, with limited resources and enemies I couldn’t realistically fight. Instead of exploring or progressing, I was stuck in a frustrating recovery loop trying to scrape…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay. During EA, I put in almost 200 hours playing, and never once encountered the "ship vanishing" bug so many complain about. After full release, I did encounter it, but only once, and it was a VERY EASY fix. I suspect there are review bombings going on, because the game is great. The "lack" of PvP is is manufactured by the irate player base, as you can shoot and kill other players and their ships in any game instance, but the "problem" is there is (currently) only six players per game host…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For those of you who are here from Worlds Adrift, I hate to relay the message that Bossa did it again. The game was so close to actually filling that gap, then the dev team apparently forgot this existed and put it on a shelf since December of 2025. I will update my review if a new update comes out, but for the time being it's a mockery of what it tries to achieve.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought this game without knowing about World's Adrift and thought it might be fun. It was at first. but the problems became quickly apparent. The most egregious of which is the way loot drops work in this game. Apart from it despawning, the way that chests just spit the loot out, sometimes off the edge of an island and never seen again, is piss-poor design. If you're going to do something like remaking an older game in this fashion, the least you can do is ensure that the way loot works ensures…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The worst thing about this game is stuff can fall off into nothing forever. In a game where the damn chests launch there contests into the stupid air that is the worst game design they could think of I mean the items are in a chest why the hell would they launch the items into the air. I mean some of the chests are literally on a piece of rock that are the same size as the chest itself.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's a lot of potential there but still pretty buggy and the interface is a bit frustrating. I hope to come back to it when they've fixed it. For example a turret killed me when piloting my ship, my ship just spun in circles, no option to respawn until I 'killed myself' and then my only option was to respawn at the Ark. Ugh.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Completely broken in every aspect. Multiple graphical bugs, multiple inventory bugs, multiple broken islands, constant crashes and disconnects, almost impossible to play in a coop with 4 players. Genuinely one of the worst performing games I've ever played, it should be removed from sale completely.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ok so i bought the game on release, it was super bugged and my ship kept disappearing when i logged back into the game. I did play like this for 2 sessions, creating a new ship each time, when i logged in on the 3rd session, ship still gone, i just stopped it and told myself: "It's just released, this will get fixed soon and will be fine when i get back" Now, i just gave it another chance. Played 2 sessions, everything is fine, logged on the 3rd session, ship is back on the state it was when i…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wouldnt buy it on here if I knew it was going to be $1.00 on cdkeys or G2A already they failed us with the same game again, idk what cash grab they are pulling but this studio needs to step it up or stop letting people down, it harsh as hell to say maybe but its the truth , the online service does not work and people shouldnt have to pay twice, it was good I really did like it and want to see it but there was not a working multiplayer,
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What they did with Worlds Adrift is inexcusable and warrants me never giving them money again. The game is fun because it is just a more polished version of Worlds Adrift. Actually, Im not even sure if this is fully legal what they did here because they clearly released what Worlds Adrift was supposed to be, just under a different name. Same lore, same design, same assets, same mechanics - the list goes on. Basically this game here only exists because Bossa Studios funded it with money they…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted so desperately to like this game. Truly, I did. It has some of the best sky ship building I've ever experienced and the grapple system was on point once I got the hang of it. Unfortunately after a few dozen hours of playing and a few more of researching the game's current situation, I don't think I can recommend this to anyone in its current state. The simple fact of the matter is that Lost Skies needed more time in early access: There is no in game map until a decent ways in when…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent concept. Entirely unplayable when the contents of your chests and entire ships randomly disappear. It's really disappointing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lost Skies is a bad game, it's a game I kept hoping would get better, but it didn't. It didn't get any less frustrating to play, I can understand it with some games, giving you crap equipment to make later equipment seem better. But You don't get better equipment for 80% of the game. The start of the game was fun, amazing. The grappling is janky, but rewarding to learn. The idea of having a mobile base is 90% of why I played the game, and it delivered on that, but the actual gameplay loop was…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to like it. But the infuriatingly clunky movement, combined with getting stranded after losing my ship and everything I had built, makes me unable to recommend this game in its current state.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is not playable as is.. several hours of work lost after you save and reload the game. Ship and any items stored on it get destroyed. The game is fun,but losing all your progress when you log out makes the game unplayable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game releases into a fake 1.0 release Devs killed the previous juggernaut of a game Worlds Adrift, now stealing money with nostalgia baiting. After the games fake 1.0 release (I call it fake because multiple aspects of the game like skills, ship parts etc are still missing) the game has had 3 updates, not even major ones. Nothing added, just mainly hotfixes. This development team really deserved the worst, I hope the go fkn bankrupt. Stop butchering the legacy of Worlds Adrift
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You don't understand how much I've missed this. It's been half a decade gushing about Worlds Adrift, a dead game (literally) that nobody could play. Now? Sure this doesn't have the PvP I loved, but it's still got the sense of adventure. I'm really thankful Lost Skies released.
unlabelledView post →Always wanted to play Worlds Adrift back when it existed, unfortunately never had a chance to play. I was ecstatic when I learned it was being rebooted as Lost Skies. I appreciate the development team for their work and for the great updates they've been rolling out. Now for the actual review: I love the resource management system in this game, disregards weight for players but each item taking a different amount of space was interesting and enjoyable. I also like the implementation of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Backtracking, half-baked systems, jank (not in an endearing way). And I was only able to get the game to start 50% of the time without issues. Don't die in the starter area or you'll basically just need to start over if you managed to put all your items in your backpack beforehand. Don't bother going back to the starting area once you've got the first collect-a-thon materials quest done. They will just send you back to pretty much the same area you have to traverse all over again. I did the…

unlabelledView post →Another rip and run from the criminals at Bossa Games. A real shame as the concept from Worlds Adrift and its spiritual successor Lost Skies were inspirational and if given the care an attention they deserved, truely amazing pieces of art. But hey, this is why we cant have nice things.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Idk why the people in the review's section are lighting the torches for. Game is quite fun, and i have so much fun just being able to swing around with my grappling hook, build ships, etc. Sure I have gotten the bugs people with the negative reviews are talking about, but game was in alpha, expect bugs you lot, and there were hot fixes constantly fixing the ship vanishing issue. I like the game, and its not like its got the $60 premium price tag like calm down, give the dev's time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think everyone is going a bit overboard in the review section, i do agree its been little updates this year, one to be exact.. But man i just really want this game to succeed and get finished. There is too many bland ass survival crafting games out there and this one feels really unique in its creative and exploration aspect. but that might have to do with my autism for anything steampunk related. Its just so immensely satisfying to see your airship go from a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to a bigger and more…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to love this game and recommend it to everyone I know. At it's core, I see a very strong successor to the gap left by the end of service of World's Adrift. The grappling mechanic is as fun as ever and the air combat mechanics have the making of something great. I want to love and recommend it. But unfortunately as it stands the game is just far too buggy and has bizarre design choices that just leave players confused on how to progress, or worse. Something my partner and I ran into…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To wrap up my Bluesky introduction, here is my next game; Lost Skies ☁️ It's a survival adventure set in a huge open world of floating islands and towering clouds. Aided by a grappling hook you must build a base in the form of a Skyship, and defy all odds to kill the giants that destroyed the world.
unlabelledView post →im giving this a temp thumbs up just because of how much negative reviews this has. alot of the negative reviews i have seen i have not ran into these problem other than the climbing being glitchy....The grapple works great dont get why people are moaning about it, the ship building is fun, the progress is slow and steady and it dont overwhelm you with loads of items like most survival games do. alot of comments saying it is no good for solo play, at this current time i have ran into no…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favorite cancelled games (Worlds Adrift) is getting a new coat of paint, and downsized from MMO to coop game. There's so many parts of WA in the demo, I'm so excited to explore more of Lost Skies.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After missing World's Adrift for so long, I really wanted to like this game. Are they even doing any updates anymore? The entire time I played this game with my cousin, we couldn't ignore the amount of bugs this game has and its poor performance. Our most common comment for the game while playing was, "they still have a lot of work to do". I hope they do the work that's needed to make this game meet expectations of those who played WA. They could of honestly just brought that game back as is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks like it's "try out all the Steam demos" night. 😄 I tried Solarpunk, a survival/chill nature game. I enjoyed it at first but it's controls were so utterly terrible, had to quit. Now I'm gonna try Lost Skies. I hope it's good!
unlabelledView post →I would currently consider this a waste of money, the only real redeeming feature is the grappling hook. The islands are janky, glitchy and not really well made. (due to them being fan made. Why cant the creators make more, I don't know and don't care anymore.) Worlds adrift and now this, its a joke. Ill check up in a year or so and see if its actually made progress but as it stands get ready to kill the exact same enemies, do the exact same thing over and over with not real end game in mind,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazed nobody has mentioned this but while me and a friend played there was no mechanism for location specific saving, so basically as you're progressing if you fall off the sky rocks and die (easy to do when the grappling hook bugs out, detaches etc on all the platforming puzzles they really really want you to do despite the obvious performance issues) you're forced to...return all the way back to the beginning. no recourse. absolutely awful experience especially for a multiplayer game. Did…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Worlds Adrift was a great concept and its death was unwarranted. So anyway, this game. Good things: Has a good visual feel. Being able to spot islands through clouds, seeing them dangling above or below. The sensation of scale from grappling or gliding around islands is fantastic. There's also a lot of good mechanical foundation, like the crafting system, the different materials, blueprints, etc. Gliding, once you have the wings instead of the basic glider, takes some getting used to but is a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Every game has a rocky start. Not every game is perfect. Lost Skies happened to be one of those. This game should have stayed in Early Access without a doubt but has since improved drastically. My issues happened in mulitplayer during EA. Will I try co-op again? Possibly. Since then I'm playing solo and this game runs and plays very well. Lost Skies itself is a beautifully crafted game. Almost every angle you look at, is an amazing picture. The gameplay itself is to gather resources to craft…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is an excellent example of an opportunity for a No Man's Sky tier redemption story. I guess time will tell whether or not the game can turn itself around before it hits Version 3.0+. On the surface it looks like a pretty good airship-based open world crafting and base building game. Starts out a little slow but it is fun once you unlock the grappling hook and the resource gathering tools. Wasn't really a fan of the backtracking that's pretty much mandatory thanks to the Arc…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lost Skies Game Review (Disclaimer - This is just my opinion and may be unpopular, or disliked. Also, if you are sensitive to seizures and epilepsy be mindful this game has areas with bright/flashing lights.) (General) 1. This is an Exploration Survival based game with 3rd Person combat elements. 2. The goal is to build an air ship and collect data to find out what happened as you are suffering from memory loss. 3. It also has character customization as you create the character you will be…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Last week Forever Skies, this week Lost Skies. All the game titles have skies! After five years of development I guess they picked the right name <puts on sunglasses> for Old Skies.
unlabelledView post →I had genuinely high hopes for this game. As someone who spent a lot of time on Worlds Adrift, and saw the potential for it, I was excited to learn that the spiritual successor to that game was being created. Lost Skies seemed very promising. A singleplayer/4 player coop experience with a story telling us what happened to the world? Less MMO tedium? Zero seal clubbing from wannabe pirates? Getting to build our own airships again? I was elated beyond belief. Getting to play the demo only made my…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lost Skies has some cool ideas on paper, especially the airship exploration and co-op focus, but the execution is disappointing. The game is plagued by bugs that constantly interrupt the experience, and the ship-building system feels clunky, limited, and far less enjoyable than it should be. Combat gets repetitive quickly, and progression doesn't offer much reason to keep playing. There are moments of fun while exploring, but overall the game feels unfinished and hard to recommend.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The devs either took the money and ran again or they got shareholder value'd. Either way, I wouldn't recommend buying it unless the devs show clear intention of finishing the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bossa Studios (Surgeon Simulator) has laid off an unknown number of people, following its mass layoff last year. The remaining team will split into small teams to work on "novel game ideas" to be made as quickly as possible, after Lost Skies launches. (Read more: Game Developer)

unlabelledView post →Playing this is bittersweet. It harks back to the glory days of Worlds Adrift, and while the mechanics are smoother and the content is deeper, the magic just isn't quite there. The tension of an MMO ecosystem - with the threat of PvP and the relief of safe zones - is the missing piece. Lost Skies has the body of a great game, but Worlds Adrift had the soul. I'll keep this in my rotation for casual play, but if they ever bring back the MMO scale, I'll be back permanently.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game should get a prize for the grappling physics alone.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Worlds Adrift was such an important and special game. I'm so ecstatic that Lost Skies is finally out. My new PC can't come soon enough.
unlabelledView post →seems like they are just trying to take advantage of the nostalgia of Worlds Adrift, its similar gameplay mechanics but misses the point. The game "released" but doesnt really feel like it.

unlabelledView post →I bought this game because Worlds Adrift was and still is my favourite game of all time. In terms of the gameplay (bugs and optimization aside), the game is very enjoyable. When I first saw the early access release of Lost Skies, I turned my nose up to it because I immediately saw that it was no longer an MMO. One of the main things I loved about Worlds Adrift was the mmo aspect, the way it was all one server, one giant open world in which all players meet. You could find players in all…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not good, not bad, just... Mid. Worlds Adrift was revolutionary a decade ago, and I and many others mourned its loss. Its art style left an impression on gaming, to the point where it was mimicked by many others who came after. We started seeing a lot of games set in the ruins of an arcane society with the same vaguely African aesthetic. Aloft, Last Oasis and Wildmender, just to name a few. Hell, even TotK to some extent. And that's where the problem stems from. With all these imitators,…

Thank you Bossa. I for one forgive you. just please dont give up on this one too
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It clearly is Early Access. Many chests face the wrong way, yeeting precious loot into the void. Camera guidance definetly needs some work, I cant play the game for more than 30 min without feeling sick (camera follows terrain and objects very sharply. E.g. when you have a pillar between your character and the camera, it rapidly zooms in and back out again). Otherwise fun game. Still needs some more content.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is remarkably similar to a game this company has made before, a game named Worlds Adrift. I bought that game back in 2017. Two months after I purchased it, Bossa Studios shut down the servers leaving no way to play it, and gave no compensation to anyone who had purchased the game. This game is their new attempt to scam people out of money. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS GAME. They will likely perform the same stunt they did with Worlds Adrift, leaving you without your money and without your…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played Worlds Adrift back in the day, and enjoyed it. This is a faithful recreation of the original vibe, plus it removes the physics middleware that it used before, which makes things a lot more reliable. I know some reviews mention losing ships, but I've never had that personally. I find it peaceful, relaxing and a bit janky. There are issues. The UI could use some polish, the volumetric effects look bad at a distance, and environmental and textual storytelling is really undercooked. The…
