60 of 187 · most liked firstThe game has some interesting puzzles and some puzzles that will include a lot of clicking if you don't screenshot the hints you get. I would normally recommend the game but due to the existing technical issues (very high resource usage of your PC) I cannot do that. Judging by the resource usage (CPU and graphic card) and the arrogant developer comment in the discussions the game is probably mining bitcoins on your PC while you play. Keep in mind that, depending on the energy consumption of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →MY RATING: 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 ✘ ✘ ✘ 7 / 10 "Help the Treefruities get their lost leaves back..." In this challenging point & click puzzle game, set in a surreal and artistically designed world, you go in search of the lost leaves. And that's not always easy because the puzzles are sometimes anything but easy. Some are, but then again it's hair-pulling and every now and then it feels like an IQ test. But don't worry, every puzzle can be solved. However, the line between "it's fun" and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely tedious. LEAVES is trying to be an Amanita game, but pulls it off poorly. The main objective of the game - find the leaves - is just a bloody pixel hunt half the time instead of requiring actual puzzle solving. The puzzles themselves are reused more than once, including every adventure gamers' favourite: the sliding tile puzzle. Many of the puzzles can be made less troublesome by taking a screenshot or photo on your phone of the reference item. This sloppy game is also riddled with…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is such a mix of good and bad that it is genuinely tragic, but I cannot in good conscience leave a "good" review for a game that has a design flaw so severe that it could damage someone's equipment. >>>>> So...before ANYTHING else, take this warning to heart: This video game has some kind of design flaw which allows it to suck down *all* the resources of your GPU. The Steam frame rate monitor showed me clocking in at over 1400 frames per second. This causes the average GPU to heat…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An artistic journey that you travel though by a series of very challenging puzzles & mini games. Very surreal and Salvador Dali first came to mind when I seen the store page images. I received this awesome gift this morning from a beloved friend. A great little find that is on sale right now for a great price (and the sequel too). I recommend them to challenge your mind while you enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. The soundtrack is very nice too, relaxing and fits the surreal atmosphere of the…

Difficult Achievement(s): No. Intro LEAVES - The Journey is a point-and-click game that revolves around finding leaves in hidden object style and solving puzzles. Challenging point & click, start your journey, solve the riddles and puzzles to find the leaves! Pros: Wide variety of puzzles, a brain teaser, some of them are really hard but patience is the key. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Leaves: The Journey is a puzzle game where you have to explore and solve puzzles to find all missing leaves from a tree. The game has no words and no story to speak of, you just have puzzles and atmosphere. The art style is very surreal and reminded me of the Samorost games. The puzzles range from easy to totally obtuse. Most of the puzzles weren't too tricky, although there were a few I really had to think about and a couple that I had to get hints for. There were a lot of puzzles that were…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you hate your point-and-clicks making a lick of sense and the thought of being able to use clues to solve puzzles fills you with unbridled rage, you'll simply love this game. Leaves is a disaster, full stop. While it does have some unique and interesting puzzles, what you have to do to get to those is so, so, so not worth it. I don't know how anybody completed this game in the first place. To say it has a story is almost laughable. It's obscure puzzles for the sake of obscure puzzles
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"LEAVES - The Journey" is an enjoyable, yet sometimes challenging puzzle game. The graphics are beautiful and the music fits well to the different scenes. The little creatures that inhabit the world are very cute and I think it is a nice idea that you have to discover them by using your magnifying glass. The only thing I miss a bit is a way to travel more easily between the different locations, but that doesn't make the game less good overall. I recommend it and look forward to playing the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →LEAVES - The Journey is a point and click puzzle/adventure game with a whimsical, esoteric theme not unlike Samorost. You click around a mysterious forest full of strange creatures and statues solving somewhat simple puzzles based on clues you can collect, and there's a little bit of inventory management involved as well. I think there's some kind of niche for these games, but the quality of this game in terms of implementation can't be saved by the intriguing theme and artwork. From a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So...I love puzzle games, but some things are necessary for them to be good puzzle games. This one was buggy as hell, places you're supposed to click appear and disappear (the little arrows, for example) and you have to exit to the menu and go back to make them show up again. There is no indicator if using an item somewhere is wrong or if you just didn't hit the exact right pixel to activate it, meaning you're stuck trying several times just to be ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN you picked the wrong item…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Epilepsy warning!!! There is a segment where a few of the puzzles (and a path you may have to repeatedly go through) has a thunder+lightning effect. They used a rapid flashy strobing white light effect instead of one of the other ways this could be expressed. The puzzles in this room require alot of time looking at the screen doing stuff and this effect plays quite often. It is very painful for my head and eyes, I had to have someone else do these rooms and look away. I suspect it would be…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let's get the pros out of the way. The game has a dream-like setting and the actual puzzles are pretty straightforward. Now the cons, this game is oppressively obtuse. Even basics of how to control or what to do are not immediately apparent. There's a lot of excessive clicking, partially in backtracking and partially from having to pull up items that serve as hints or ways to find extras over and over. Even the hint system requires you to solve a puzzle (I think). The worst aspect of this game…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Borderline, but: Puzzles have no basis in logic or the setting, just random patterns that need to be mimicked, etc. UI sucks, inventory takes too long to open Had to edit my save to fix a game breaking bug Not great, but got it for less than a dollar anyway.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →for whatever it is i've played, i love the art style and the pretty calm puzzles. but at some point.. firstly, the bug broke a puzzle that i couldn't finish it without reloading a previous save. if you try to save it at that point hoping it would fix itself on restart, no it doesn't. 2ndly, i saved my game right after a puzzle, and it went back to being unsolved, which bugged the game entirely, so now i can't access the puzzle, and the game literally cannot progress because getting out of said…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice little puzzle game presented in Surrealism art style. Kinda reminds me of Botanica or Samorost by Amanita. But they do have their own art style here and the puzzles are pretty nice in difficulty (bout level 5~6). Basically you have to spot or find the clues and use the clues to solve the puzzles, so it's more on the spotting than solving most of the time, like those hidden object games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is like a beautiful fever dream. Everything is somehow disturbing and off, but really sweet at the same time. The puzzles are amazing and like nothing I've ever seen before.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A puzzle game without instructions comprised of old style puzzles, a few that require some serious thought and out of the box thinking, and some point and click elements. An excellent challenge for puzzle aficionados. The artwork is a hybrid cross between HR Giger and Salvador Dali giving the world a very surreal perspective. Premise: Collect the leaves the frightened pink fuzzies let go of and return them at the end of the game. One of the best credit rolls I have seen in awhile as the pink…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →an interesting looking 2D point n click game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Solid logic puzzle game. Definitely worth a play through if you're into that kind of thing. Great visuals. Some of the puzzles toward the end get a little batty, but overall if you tell yourself to think outside the box a bit, they make sense. Game does have a number of small glitches. The "go to next screen" arrows disappear all the time, and the hot-spot glow on your cursor gets stuck in "on" mode a lot, which lead to a lot of confusion trying to figure out hot spots. Not a spoiler, but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This Game Is Adorabubble - I loved the puzzles and the creative animation design is whimsically inspired. There are achievable achievements and the game mechanics is easy to navigate. Perfect when u want something breezy, chill tho with a bit of puzzle intellect. Nothing to fault, for my liking - Another gem from Daedelic. More Please & Thank-you
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An absolutely charming game. I took my time playing this, just enjoying the whole experience. I spent a happy six hours on this little gem. The some of the puzzles were tough enough to present a challenge but not too tough to make me want to quit playing. I'm already eyeing up the next chapter and am keeping my hopes up to more games in this style, from this company.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →IMPORTANT WARNING: Be sure to limit the frame rate and force vertical sync with an external app (like Nvidia Control Panel) or your CPU and GPU will blow up. Said that and putting it aside, the adventure is AMAZING. The whimsical and surreal world is beautiful. I loved looking for the next weird creature or oniric scenario. The puzzle design is extremely good and creative, and will require a REAL know for the world; some puzzles can be a real challenge. I was able to finish it without…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No incredible puzzles, just another wordless weird puzzle world. Some puzzles are incredibly easy, but some are unreasonably obtuse, and there is no difficulty curve. It's not awful, but not really worth consideration over other puzzle games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a game you make someone play if you want to ruin your relationship with them. I finally got a divorce from my husband after I sat him down to play this. If you complete it and get all the achievements an agent knocks on your door and hands you papers confirming that *REDACTED* is real and that *REDACTED* was never killed, the only cost is that no one in your family can live, so that in mind, ♥♥♥♥ this game.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game, cute graphics and some mind twisting puzzles. Quite worth, going for the second chapter as well. Though it proven to be a little buggy: sometimes had to guess where the scene navigation arrow was since it did not appear and it crashed several times, making me fail an achievement.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I went into this game almost completely blind and I was pleasantly surprised. An adventure game set in a surrealistic world with quite a few interesting puzzles. The game is not only leading from one puzzle to another but to figure out some, you have to have more than one piece of information (key to solve it). The puzzles were somewhere in the middle of difficulty. They were not extremely hard but neither were they extremely easy. The difficulty is in the 'aha moment' this thing is connected…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Something about this game is just magical! You see in this game its not about reaching the end but what you learn along the journey and that is collecting each leaf for a reason! As you adventure through the artistic world there will be puzzles and challenges you must solve if you are to progress further into the story. Each scene leads to another until you find yourself at the travel stone. There are even some hidden creatures that are not from this world hiding from the naked eye; we call…

I was play this game and giving up if without guide (not my standard IQ level of game). Very mix up, first was easy untill in the middle of game it confusing a lot. But no worry, guys out of there show you the way to finished it so thank you for guidance out of there. It is funny to play this game also make me stuck and stuck but overall it's good. 7.0 IT IS NICE GIM
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had to restart the game again and again because puzzles or items bug out. Once I tried to click on the little inventory button, but misclicked and an item I got as an reward vanished. 5 times I had to start again, doing every puzzle again and again. Make sure to save before every puzzle, because if they or an item you need bug out, you can't go on in this game. Very annoying.I don't know if I will start this game again to finish it, I am curious but annoyed. I am glad I got this game for 49…

It is also really easy to complete and if you struggle with any part of the game, you can always get a guide to help you complete a puzzle. The art style and imagination that went into this game is just insanely awesome!! I would recommend this game to everyone. LOVED IT!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting art. It makes no sense at times. Get it if you like interesting puzzle challenges!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For under EUR 1 / USD 1 at sale you really should get this game (or buy the bundle and also get The return for a little over 1 EUR/USD). No text, no spoken word... just you in a strange world puzzling away... Nice variation in the puzzles, all pretty logical. Love the visuals and cute inhabitants!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A beautiful, atmospheric puzzle game with very good puzzles. Will without walkthrough take probably on the order of 8 hours. Grab it together with the successor "LEAVES - The return" which is just as good -- and just as outrageously cheap when on sale. Pretty much "hidden" gems and much recommended. Do use your GPU driver to limit FPS to e.g. 60 lest the game happily renders hundreds or even thousands of frames per second; it does not support vsync.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I say yes for the vibes, environments, and the old school point and click mechanics. The visual style is similar to the older Amanita games like Botanicula and Machinarium. That said, Leaves is incredibly old school. There are no hints or hand holding. Even when I used the walkthrough, I didn't understand the solution or how they came to that conclusion. So I say no, because I had to rely too much on the walkthrough and ended up quitting because it just wasn't fun anymore. I play a LOT of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A serviceably fun puzzle game with esoteric visuals and relaxing gameplay. I will say that some of the leaf locations are a bit non-obvious even for such an abstractly directed game, and there are two puzzles towards the end of the game that aren't telegraphed very well and may be difficult to solve without an external guide. But it's not about the destination, it's about the journey. Hence the title.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Delightful first chapter of a puzzle art games series (LEAVES - The Journey + LEAVES - The Return), a little diamond among Daedalic Entertainment's wide line-up of games. If you enjoy surreal art you will love Eve Nohl's art direction here; the soundtrack and ambience are also beautiful and immersive, and the puzzles are quite original. I can't wait for LEAVES 3, which according to [url=https://www.zar21.de/]Zar21's site is under development! :)

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was a fun little puzzle game. Relaxing gameplay. Easy going overall, but with some puzzles I had to try every combination to solve it. Not a mindblowing experience but great to sit back and do some puzzles in your own speed. Gettting 100% achievements can be done without any fuss.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Leaves has the surreal, alien vibe of 90's adventure games. Puzzles were varied and challenging but manageable. Plenty of weird surprises throughout. An absolute steal for the price.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →'Leaves' is a beautiful game that instantly reminded me of the Amanita games. However, be aware that game play is very different ! I much enjoyed the puzzles in 'Leaves' ; they're mostly about logic, observation, and pattern matching. I also enjoyed searching for 'creatures', although I still have no idea what purpose they serve ... =) I see many reviews/comments mentioning bugs, but the only problems I encountered (Windows 10) where navigation arrows occasionally not showing up (the area…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While I liked the cute creatures and the ending, that was about it. The game mechanics are not great - there is a lot of backtracking, the map doesn't allow you to instantly travel back to where you want to go, the pull down screen for your inventory often gets triggered when you are trying to climb a ladder, etc. I also didn't get the achievement for seeing all of the inhabitants, even though I saw them all twice. Most of the puzzles are obscure and time consuming and hard to follow their…

Anyone who completes this "Game" is immediately institutionalized never to be seen again. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A logic puzzle game in the art style of Samorost. Short, but not that easy at times. No dialogue, no story, just puzzles to discover more rooms and get clues for other puzzles. All in all a satisfying experience for me that entertained me well on a rainy winter day.
