This could've been a really fun little game if they had gone further with it, as it is '1.0' is still just a glorified Early Access and nothing else. Avoid it, spend your money on games where the developers actually give a damn. Avoid any Dino Rocket games in the future 12/05/2025 EDIT: So there has been rapid fire updates adding more monsters, types and so on. This is good, I am glad they are trying to get more out…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A lot of the reviews seem to stem from poor communication from the dev. Just like a lot of the other reviewers, I was kinda bummed about the rush to 1.0. The dev/publisher posted a statement about how the scope of the game was being cut waaay back, and would only get one more major update. It felt kinda outta nowhere after large periods of inactivity and didn't seem to do enough to justify a full release, to the point I almost left a negative review too. I thought they wanted to push the game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Alright. I've played Kādomon: Hyper Auto Battlers on and off for a couple days now, and I have some thoughts regarding the game. :) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3460714200 The first thing I'd like to point out is that at its core, the idea of a Pokemon influenced party based JRPG-esque auto battler is probably an idea that needs to be explored more in the gaming space. At least the party-based JRPG-esque part anyway. This is a cool way to approach the ever growing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →tl;dr: I don't think this genre mix works. The game is fine if you know what you're getting into. This is a manager-type game (think F1 manager, Football manager, etc.) and it's worth the price, even more so since the devs are active and this is still in EA. It also scratches the Pokemon-itch somewhat. But it completely fails as a rougelike and an auto-battler. ---{ Graphics }--- ☐ You forget what reality is ☐ Beautiful ☑ Good ☐ Decent ☐ Bad ☐ Don‘t look too long at it ☐ MS-DOS ---{ Gameplay…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really want to give this game a good review so bad, but in it's current state I just can't. If I'd written this about the game before it launched into early access then it would've been 5 stars, 10/10, absolutely would recommend. There's just so many things that changed about the game when it went into early access, from the design of the battlefield, to the way that some of the bosses work. Not to mention some of the mon's and items effects just straight up don't work or don't function…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game abandoned by devs and rushing to "1.0". Don't bother with this. It's a shame because the game has cool designs.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Buggy, unbalanced, and clearly untested. Win RNG lottery and get very specific Kadomon or you're guaranteed to lose. I regret buying this even if it was in a bundle. Could've got something worth playing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't trust the short-term players on this one. I admit, Kadomon is buggy. But the gameplay is not purely simplistic or random. There is depth if you care to look for it, secrets buried throughout the game, and rich synergies if you care to experiment with them - but the game does not explain how any of this works. And I'm honestly pretty cool with that. For me, discovering how the evolution system works (without a guide) and balancing the needs of a given run against the long-term goals…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are looking for a game that is fun for 1-2 runs at about an hour each this is pretty decent at $5, but it feels like it had much more potential. Like its missing the replayability and progression system. Post run you get what appears to be unlock / achivement info, but as far as I can tell its not implemented? Maybe an abandoned game?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I may or may not be addicted. I highly recommend to anyone who likes Super Auto Pets or other auto-type games. Although it is an auto playing game it feels very involved with how many different ways there are to develop your team and the paths you choose to take. Edit : I saw that the games overall rating on steam was "Mixed" and was confused as this is currently one of my favorite games as it is visually pleasing, fun, creative, and scratches the creature collection itch in my brain. I would…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good concept, and sort of fun at first, but no quality control. The game appears to have a lot of cool emergent builds you can make by combining cool mechanics from different Kadomon. But you can't actually do that, because half of the effects either don't work at all, only work sometimes for unexplained reasons, or do something entirely different from what they say. I was trying to get into this game but whenever I find a cool combo I am disappointed to find one of the mechanics does not work…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really liked the game back when it was in beta (still named "Super Auto Battlemon" back than). Combat made more sense, the UI was simpler and less crowded and it was pretty easy to actually understand the game. In the "1.0" release I feel pretty lost, the runs are random, combat feels random. I just pick stuff and hope I flip the same Kadomon to upgrade my other Kadomon in time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Abandonned, pushed 1.0 not to get abandon tag slapped onto them as they never fixed a bug people reported for over a year, yet devs goes to negative reviews saying he worked close with players to make the game better, no single player knows about this as we all reported tons of bugs and none of them got fixed. Disappointed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game has potential but it so many things that make it feel unfinished, among them are: * "180 unique creatures". No. It has ~45 creature with three evolutions that do the same thing * Item combinations are terribly unintuitive and require an out of game wiki to use. * Done three runs and won two of them. And somehow it feels like i completed the game. * UI could use some work * Most modifiers feel basic. Give +2 attack, water is now ice, add a shield on hit, etc etc. Plenty of options, but…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lots of questionable balancing decisions, and with no logging, distinct visual cues, or explanations you will lose to random synergies and never know why or learn how to do better. Siralim Ultimate is an example of a game that has resolved those issues, which Kadomon could learn from
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have more hours in the demo version because it was better.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →1.0 launched and nothing changed for the better. The UI still lacks clarity issues, the balance is a mess and there are no signs of any QA being done. The devs admitted to having 3+ years of "dead" code and seemingly the price tag is used as an excuse for the lack of improvements. It's not! Even from beginner entry price tag into the genre you expect more than what you are being offered.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All this time no update. Even though its looking good. The game is empty.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played the Steam Next Fest demo. It was relatively straight forward, simple, fun, and I was excited to finally play the full version. This early access version is nothing like the version I played, it stinks of too many mechanics, randomization that goes against build crafting, and extremely unfair boss fights.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game 38 minutes ago, picked the first option on every battle, leveled up my little dudes to 3 and after not replacing any, not really understanding what they do, not thinking once I found myself having beaten the game 38 minutes later. Maybe I got lucky but not really any depth to it as it stands,
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is extremely enjoyable and fun to play. Bugs are constantly being hunted down by the loving main developer and the other team members. While the 1.0 was promised to be the last update, it's already 6+ updates past that and it's far from anything considered as abandoned. Definately worth the price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not worth the headache. Just wait until 1.0. Even then, I personally don't think it will be worth it because an issue still exist where your units will vanish mid game and between saves. The developer has considered this as fixed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wont load after menu screen.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I feel bad saying this, but all the joy has been taken out. If you ever back out of a run, it will mess up multiple things - including devolving your lads, losing misprints, straight up not being able to click on the next battle. The seed somehow randomises every time (I feel this is linked to these issues). This persisted over multiple runs and a reinstall, so it does not seem a blip on the radar. It also has forgotten that I have played in the past (offering the tutorial), but somehow…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Desperately needs to be more difficult and have more content
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this used to be one of my all time favourite games to just boot up and blitz through a run or two of, but In it's current state I can't really do that anymore. Don't get me wrong, the new content they've added like the new types, characters and kadmon and stuff are really cool! But it may have been that i'm not used to the balance changes but the game feels like it's had a humongous difficulty spike recently that's made it near impossible to complete. I could get over the really unintuitive…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played the demo far before the game ever came out and I am beyond dissapointed with the quality of the finished game, as well as most of the random changes made from the demo. The full version def feels rushed and isn't very satisfying to play. I love the designs and think this IP has potential, but this game will not bear fruit. Please know that the game isnt bad by any means, its just not as good as the demo was when I wishlisted it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kādomon: Hyper Auto Battlers starts with a cool concept but quickly falls apart. Battles are RNG-heavy, types and synergies barely matter, and the roguelike elements add nothing. It feels barely improved from early access—no controller support, no achievements, messy UI, and lacking depth. Fun for an hour, forgettable after that.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Has quite a few bugs that I've found in such a short time. But all in all could have been one of my favorite "burn a few hours here and there" games. It's a shame the devs are going to rush 1.0 and abandon it. Could have had a lot of potential for growth and expansion.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →On going issue for many people that buy this game is that it doesnt load. I read that the game has been abandoned, but I am not sure if that is true or what is causing the issue... which sucks because the game looks fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I uhhh, won on my 1st run and felt like I've experienced pretty much everything game has to offer None of the mechanics seemed fun to try, nothing I'd look forward to
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's okaaaayy, and the little critters are quite cute but it's clearly a game that needed more time in the oven and didn't get it. with the state it's in and the clear lack of any path forward to a more polished experience I can't really recommend it, even though I don't think it's terrible or anything.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game really naturally blends together the pros of Monster Collector games and Auto Battlers. There's tons of cool looking Kadomon to find, each synergizing in interesting ways. Kadomon that shelter others under their body until they're defeated. Kadomon who channel their magic to become stronger each time they ult (use their super). Legendaries the whole shebang. And recently as of the time of writing the devs have been on fire updating insanely quickly. I hope this game continues to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really really wanted to like this game but getting two softlocks in the tutorial was not pleasant.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Abandonware. Will avoid this developer in future.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was looking forward to giving this game a go -- but unable to start a new game, getting stuck at loading screen for +30min before giving up.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →OK so I took a chance since it was cheap and updated today 10/29/24 but like so many others it just goes to loading screen so had to get refund .
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great game for its price! It requires some skill, but overall, it's an enjoyable experience. I'm excited to see what future updates will bring.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →better than fortnite
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played the beta for a bit, unlocked most things and even got a few misprints (aka shinies). I will say however I did lose 1 of them, but I didn't care that much at the time, and still don't now. The problem I seem to see many people have with this game is the amount of bugs, which yeah there is a good few bugs with each update, but the devs are being REALLY communicative and fixing bugs in every update, which is a lot more than most dev teams do nowadays. Another issue I seem to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an amazing game that fought hard in early access, confusingly the game has been given more frequent content updates since the 1.0 than it did in the early access. But if you want a fun auto-battler that you can not think too hard on build viability and instead look at cute lil monsters. this is the perfect game for you
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know why people are saying the game is abandoned, it gets updates pretty much every week adding new creatures and other content. Super fun game and you should definitely pick it up if you like auto battlers and/or Slay the Spire-type Rogue-likes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nearly no content. Feels like a Demo
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After playing this game for around 2 hours I've come to this conclusion. The idea for this game is interesting, but most of its design or implementation prevent it from working. Battles are fundamentally incoherent. Within a battle events happen too often, have too little impact, and are sequenced in a fashion that is too irregular for the player to actually make sense of what happened or why. This is really bad because if a player doesn't understand why they won or lost, or what even…

unlabelledView post →Buggy I was on a good first run but had 20 morale left got stuck with a bad event that forced me to lose 10 morale and lost all 20 instead and it bricked me in the shop.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is horrible no assention after you beat the game, nothing to unlock the ♥♥♥♥ is even the point after you first run
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game feels like its still in alpha, this is not ready for release yet in my eyes. in my first session there were already quite a few simple visual glitches. The gameplay doesn't feel balanced/thought out to me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not good for Steam Deck because of the complexity, but on PC the hover text offers good explanations of the details and mechanics. The Combine Items UI is frustrating because I can't figure out which items combine or if I am missing how to use the feature so I keep just trying to slot in every combination I can to get better items since each team member can only hold a single item but throughout the run you get dozens of items not particularly better than each other. The gameplay systems do not…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →More fun and interesting than Super Auto Pets
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Artwork reminds me of Super Auto Pets, I like the style of it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let's address the elephant in the room first. I too hesitated to buy Kadomon for a while because the reviews don’t look super promising. The thing that really seems to bring a lot of negative reviews is the amount of bugs even after the 1.0 release. I finally bought it and the reason apart from the general appeal of the game is the fact that the dev was on Discussion board and Discord responding to bug reports and feedback every single day! I tried it out the day I bought it and I definitely…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Addictive gameplay, great art and designs, and even a banger soundrack. The only thing holding this game back is the amount of bugs. other than that I would love to see this game flourish.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very lacking in content. Many poor design decisions (events are bad, monsters level cap quickly, busted permanent scalers, janky shop usage, very little actual tactics/decision-making). No difficulty scaling, making for a fairly easy game. There's a bug when going into the last boss which often sets your monsters to 1 max life (though it's quite beatable anyway). A bit of a shame, as the art and monsters are charming.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome creature collector roguelite, I dont know what the negative reviews are squealing about but this title is great fun, easily worth full price
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a decent game tho for what it is... there isnt much there. You basicly go through a roguelike where you choose your starter and you get a Gnock. (which is as filler creature that you will replace asap when you no longer have space for it.) Every time you will either Challange a creature, get an option to rest or some mystery event. You have multitude of creatures that each can evolve 2x all have their typings from Poison/fire/electric/water/grass etc. And then you can equipt each…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really want to see this game succeed. Currently, my biggest complain is that sometimes it's difficult for me to know if the strategy I'm going for actually works as I intended or not. The game goes so fast, I can't see it. I wish we can slow it by 50%.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Much like others, Pressed start game after selecting a person. Stuck in persistent "Loading???" screen. You ever been mad at excessive punctuation? Buy this game, stare at the loading??? for long enough. You'll get there. The weird thing is, the game definitely loads, but the loading??? screen is persistent so you can't actually see anything. Game looked good too, too bad it's a bugged brick for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game, when it works. I have not been able to load up into a campaign in i dont know how long now. cant recommend at this time. rip all the hours
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Somehow one of my favorite creature collecters / rougelikes, it's a little on the easy side and doesn't have that much in terms of areas and bosses right now but the sheer number of Kadomon. items, and synergies makes going into each run with a new party and trying out new strategies super fun! Plus, the Kadomon themselves have some really fantastic designs, the music slaps, and the artstyle is simple and fun. Would highly recommend if that sounds like it's up your ally, but if you're looking…
