Inside Out 2
Teenager Riley's mind headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she’s not alone. From TMDB

Pixar also pushed artists into 7-days-a-week crunch, and right when they were getting to the finish line, laid them off. These overworked artists lost their bonus, healthcare, and income in SF.

And despite it low cost, the quality of the hand-drawn animation, cast, artwork and story is just as astounding as it’s more expensive contemporary counterparts.
unlabelledView post →Zootopia 2 has now surpassed Inside Out 2 at the box office and has become the highest-grossing American animated film of all time, only being behind Ne Zha 2. I had a feeling this was gonna be a big film, but even I'm amazed how quickly it broke the record in a short time.

unlabelledView post →The rules of what animation can achieve at the box office are being rewritten in front of our eyes. It took just 21 days for 'Ne Zha 2' to become the highest-grossing animated film of all time. It took the previous record holder 'Inside Out 2' 80 days of global release to reach the same amount.

unlabelledView post →“Inside Out 2” is very good. But it’s so resonant, I’ve had to watch it in pieces. 😩 This movie is my version of prestige horror.
unlabelledView post →One of the big reasons why I loved Inside Out 2 was how it really understood how to grow and develop its characters further. In the first film, Joy tells Sadness that Riley needs her while in the second one, Sadness tells Joy that Riley wants her. It really shows the trust.

unlabelledView post →finally watched Inside Out 2 (“Movie 2”) with the Goose tonight. It was fine. It wasn’t as bad as some compulsory sequels. Bing Bong is still dead so it failed to ignite the Goose’s passion on that level, and it failed to hold her attention overall. Naturally I thought it could do with some gayness.

unlabelledView post →When Inside Out 2 broke the record to become the new highest grossing animated film, I did not expect that it would only hold on to its title for about 9 months...let alone be dethroned by a Chinese animated movie. And the craziest part is that Ne Zha 2 is only getting started.

It’s actually the second (It’s Ne Zha 2 that’s the biggest animated film of all time). But yes, it is the highest grossing AMERICAN animated film ever.

You can't say "Elio" failed despite all the support it had. It didn't have support at all.

unlabelledView post →Took the kids to see Inside Out 2, which while not quite as good as the first one, was still an excellently made movie. Definitely captured a lot of the awkwardness of puberty.
unlabelledView post →Also very cool our frontrunner for Best Picture uses the f-slur and 2nd biggest movie of the year uses the r-slur, both as punchlines. I assume Inside Out 2 has blackface in it
unlabelledView post →Recently watched Inside Out 2. Not as bad as I worried it might be, but certainly not my thing. Loved the stuff inside Riley's mind, didn't like most of the stuff outside of it, and unfortunately that's half the movie. (Short thread)

His first was “Away” (2019), an animated feature that he wrote, directed, animated, and scored, completely by himself.
