Viewers praise the film's clever humor and world-building, calling it one of Disney's best animated movies. [1][2][3] Many highlight its timely messages about prejudice and tolerance, delivered without overshadowing the plot. [2][4][5] Some reviewers note the story is not entirely original but still engaging and well-paced. [6][7]

Why I find Zootopia revolutionary ============================== 1. The creative design of the titular city, and the astonishing world building. 2. Using colors and deliberately simple animation not just to make the movie appeal to children, but also to indicate the so-called ideal city of Zootopia where every animal is pure and innocent. 3. Blending more than one genre into a single animated film while keeping the …

Rewatched in preparation for ZOOTOPIA 2. Rating: A+ Returning to ZOOTOPIA years later confirmed it as one of my absolute favorite Disney animated movies, compelling me to upgrade my rating from an 'A' to a rare 'A+' for the first time ever. It's easily one of the most cleverly hilarious kids' films I've ever seen, filled with brilliant animal-related humor that had me cracking up alone at home — something I rarely …

Zootopia is the latest family animation movie from Disney about a young bunny determined to be a cop at all costs – in a land where only 'predators' are cops, she would be the first ‘prey’ cop. Seriously? Anyway, she puts on the hard work and makes it to the land where anything is possible. Zootopia makes some good real life comparisons: Zootopia itself seems to look like New York, even including a hustle by a sly …

This film is named 'Zootopia' in the US but the title was changed when it was shown in the UK. I thought it is a very good children's film. Very well animated. Colourful. Really cute animals. It is a great parable about tolerance and racism which could be seen as a mirror to the xenophobia in society today. The story is of a rabbit called Judy Hopps who overcomes diversity to become a police officer in the city of …

One of the best movies Disney has created in the last years. Smart plot with a great background topic talking about the differences, stereotypes, prejudices and joining the tendency of giving women more important roles. It has still several gaps to fill and enhance on the latest point but it is, IMHO, a milestone in the right direction. The characters work pretty well and it is funny when needed and not too full of …
How this was made: an AI model (deepseek-v4-flash) read 34 of the 283 public posts we collected about this film and wrote the summary, likes and dislikes, citing the posts behind each point ([n] opens the post). A second AI pass checked every statement against the posts it cites; anything it could not match was removed, and code removed any statement with quotation marks, numbers that are not in the posts, or unattributed claims about people. The split is counted from the posts’ own ratings. Generated Oct 10, 2026. Method

Zootopia grossed $341.3 million in the US and Canada and $682.5 million in other countries for a worldwide total of $1.026 billion, against a budget of $150 million. On March 18, 2016, the film reached the $500 million mark, becoming the third consecutive Walt Disney Animation Studios film to reach the milestone after Frozen (2013) and Big Hero 6 (2014). On June 5, the film crossed the $1 billion mark, becoming the second film of 2016 to do so (after the studio's own Captain America: Civil War), the fourth animated film (after Toy…

60 of 302 · most liked firstZootopia 2 is the highest grossing Hollywood movie of the year & Kpop Demon Hunters was Netflix's most popular movie of all time, but fuck animators, am I right? I hate reading about how huge & beloved this stuff is while knowing how hard creators have it & how it still isn't broadly taken seriously
