What people are saying
Mixed: fun for a few hours but lacks depth and longevity.
Many players enjoyed the relaxing, low-energy gameplay for a short time, but found the content runs out quickly. One player noted you unlock everything by level 13, and another said after 9 hours there was nothing left to do. [3][7]
Critics point to shallow mechanics, lack of challenge, and repetitive endgame. One reviewer said the game becomes an idle game with no real management, and another called it a 'budget version of Tavern master' that feels like early access. [20][35]

60 of 188 · most liked firstReally good mechanics. It has potential. But fun factor is low. The game seems to play on its own. Player is not required. You only buy new stuff and wait to buy new items over and over. No plot, no goals, nothing fun to do. Feels like an alpha stage
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To me, the core game engine is 100% The Sims from the early 2000's. Like the Devs copied and pasted The Sims code right into their game, Maxis and EA might want to peek at that. The characters even speak the same language. The UI is almost exactly the same, just slightly re-arranged and mechanics changed to reflect a bar/tavern. Within the first 10 seconds of game play I was like, oh wow, I remember this game, The FIRST Sims game, just stripped down, A LOT! I've got maybe an hour, hour and a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Needs some updates, but overall good game for the price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After a really slow beginning stage, it ended up having a satisfying enough progression loop but unfortunately it lacks any charisma or charm to set it apart. The main reason I'd recommend this game is if you've got the itch for tavern sims but you wanna play on the Steam Deck. I had a few problems being able to select the gold to reputation slider at first but it works mostly fine on SD. Otherwise, you can probably pass unless you're *really* keen to play a tavern sim.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It felt like a (remastered) demo of "Tavern Master" with a bit shinier graphics and 10% of the game itself. A simple knock off. Shame. As I overextended the 2 hour gameplay time to return it, due to AFK mostly, I've played it till the end ... No new mechanics and 0 replay value. I wonder how a game like this could exist ...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is no depth at all. From the start you buy things and then you wait until you can buy the next thing. And that's the entire game. You unlock new stuff to build. But overall it's just a "wait until you have enough money then upgrade/buy the next thing"

The name says "Tycoon" but there is very little tycoon mechanic. You can upgrade items to get more money for food/drink/lodging but that's about it. On Day 3 in game, some customers started to show lower satisfaction (yellow face). Why? Who knows! You can't see what they want and what they don't like. In fact, there are no useful reports in the game at all.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was fun for about 4 hours. When you've unlocked all the things you can place it's a pretty empty experience. Finished for the sake of achievements.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Would I recommend this game? Yes the concept is fun and I personally loved the idea. However- and I am aware it is only early access still, This games would benefit GREATLY from more content and a lot more Balancing. Examples: - you get locked out at only 2 tavern pets but they can't keep up with the amount of tips the tavern provides. - you can only have 70 staff members which quickly stunts you from growing the tavern to the max. - once I got past 130 days my staff members kept glitching out…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really do want to positively review this game. but there is a major problem that currently plagues this game. when you get far enough the AI on the NPCs starts to fall apart. of my 55 staff most of them stand in the middle of their zones not doing anything, and my tavern business that has been thriving is now slowly crumbling. Before that point however the game is great, lots of fun to be had (though the pet picks up tips far to slowly) but if yall expect to get through the 365 ingame day…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game gets boring really fast. It took me a minute to understand why, but it's because there's no product inventory. You sell beer, bread and pies out of thin air. You never need to order anything from suppliers (there are no suppliers), no spoilage, no need to estimate what you need. If you don't want any kind of challenge, the game is for you.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You unlock everything at lvl 13. That is less than 10h of game time. If you want something quick to lose yourself in and get distracted while watching Netflix/Youtube/Anime then this is the game for you. Don't expect long term fun though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sometimes I just want to rest my mind and play without investing years into a game. Inn Tycoon is very relaxing and intuitive. A great choice for vacation since it's easy to put down and pick back up later.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If I had paid full price for this game I would be disappointed. The game is decent, but it is a budget version of Tavern master that feels like it is early access. If it's greatly discounted, it'll probably be worth some relaxing time, but I don't feel its worth more than the $6 I got it for.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Inn Tycoon was a chill and really easy game to play while working or multitasking like me. Achievements are easy to complete, I completed the main objectives about 10 hours in. First completed game of 2026 and while its nothing to write home about I enjoyed it for what it was.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I beat it in about 7 hours. It has a couple of achievements like hit level 50 and spend 365 days in the game, but I finished it on about day 122 and don't feel like leaving the game run in the background just to get those other achievements. For now there is nothing else for me to do.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →pathfinding is totally broken... nice game, but at some point it become unplayable..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While I like the concept of the game, it should be much easier and quicker to progress. I have played for almost 2 hours now, and barely got to level 4. I ended up having to quit the game because I went consecutive days with a negative balance due to not being able to bring in enough money to keep a positive balance. Things are too expensive and you receive far too little money and tips to overcome the cost of items. In addition, upgrades for all of the rooms and tools/items cost level points,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the low energy "I'm still playing a game but I don't have to put too much into it" vibe this game gives. I enjoyed it for about 9 hours and then I got to a point where there was nothing left to unlock (as you stop unlocking things to buy at level 13 and stop being able to hire more staff once you reach 55 members) and it just became the same old thing every day in the inn. Good for a short while but really needs more unlockable content if you want to keep playing till level 50 to get the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really want to like this game and no-life it, but it's SO stupid that the kitchen's only stretch a certain amount. I shouldn't have to build 50 kitchens just to stretch across all tables. This has made the game so annoying for me, so many unhappy customers because there's "no menu"
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Underated game, I am really happy I picked this up!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well,This game lacks content, so less that I don't have the heart to arrange it. I don't recommend buying it at the moment. If this game still doesn't have much update this year (2025), don't buy it. And its not difficult to make more main entrance. You can build a huge place, but there is no way for guests to get there(lmao) then because of the lack of content, no matter how big the room you build, there is nothing to put in it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Silly game, no challenges, absolutely repetitive, few customizations, bad music, useless updates... I could spend all day writing about the worst tavern simulation game I've ever played. Don't waste your time or money with this game, there are much better and cheaper options, like Tavern Master for example
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its not a bad little game, however, there are a few issues. once you reach a certain point building more inn is pointless because you will reach the cap on the flow of customers. leaving lots of empty beds, baths, tables and especially games. most i ever made in a day was around 80k with all the good events going on. soon as you are stable the game loses its luster. not much long term game play, completed all achievements in just a few days. not much customization either really. good starter…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →5-6 hour short fun game the rest of it is leaving the game on so I can get 100% achievement, which is also why I'm giving this game a thumbs down. The 5-6 hour mark you will hit a progression ceiling in the game, the max staff you can have is only 85 which is fair enough as the game is running down to 30fps with all these npcs running around. Then after unlocking everything and upgrading staff skills there is nothing to do but watch the tavern run itself. As for another downside…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For a sale price at 5.99, it is a good game to spend a lazy weekend on. The primary issue is that by day 40, or maybe earlier, you can absolutely steamroll the game by creating 3x3 taverns packed with seating/bar/fireplace. The customer AI has no particular demands, so there is no reason to build anything at all except the highest rate of return space available. The customer happiness mechanic should have more variables... such as "There's not enough beds :(" or "I wish they had skee-ball!"…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really chill. Played for 8 hours, planning to play more. Feels really polished.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It can be fun, but I did get bored after a while. I don't hate it enough to not recommend it, because some parts were still interesting and I enjoyed the building and decorating part of it. What's really annoying, though, is the mechanic that the kitchen and bar have limited range. It's frustrating having to build around them all the time so that your food and drinks reach the customer's tables.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game for around 4-8 hours. If you want 100% you'll need to play 3-4x longer than the content in the game. Wish they would come out with more options to build things or more rooms. Options are limited but decent game. 6/10. Also after afk'ing for the last 16 hours I found out you can shift click place things.. saves you a lot of menus. :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's okay. I will say that after a while of racking up the achievements, the last one I needed was to have 365 days pass, and that in itself is where my experience fell off. Everything at first had a purpose which slowly dissipates after you progress to the point where your inn is already a well-oiled machine. To be frank, this reminds me of Tavern Master.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ENG First I was drawn in by the medieval music, then by the chill gameplay. The first 8-10 hours flew by without me noticing. After that I enjoyed the events for about 5 more hours. Unfortunately, after 15 hours of playtime, the content and the magic of the game are completely gone. It takes about 15 more hours to get the last achievement. The game doesn't require much logical skills, but it's perfect for a little relaxation. The price is right, but there could be a little more content in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is short but is very good for what it is. Additional content I can suggest that can be added: - Trade stystem with farmers or such - Bandits and Guards for Inn defense with upgradable gear for better efficency - More tavern stuff (food, entertainment) - More events with choices - Perks for Inn and/or staff members or complete perk system - Expedition like feature to send someone to search for loot - Add floors instead of only ground floor inn
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You can manage your own inn. It was a fun game but after the first few hours, it became an idle game. I like Idle games so that's fine with me but that may not be your cup of tea.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's just plain boring. Build a room, place some furniture, hire staff, wait to gain level. Rinse and repeat, that's all there is to it. I have been playing other tavern/inn management games recently, thisone is definitely the worst, you spend more time waiting for things to happen than anything else. there is no challenge, nothing to actually manage. Oh, and to make the game an actual game, they added some levels of annoyance, like the kitchin counter that for some reason has a radius for…

unlabelledView post →From Broke to Hospitality Mogul Sort Of I started Inn Tycoon with big dreams of running a cozy little bed and breakfast. Fast forward three hours, and I’m running a questionable hotel empire with five-star ratings but deeply suspicious financial practices. The guests? Half of them complain about the lack of Wi-Fi, the other half just mysteriously disappear after checking in. The chef in my restaurant works 24/7 with no bathroom breaks, yet still manages to produce five-star meals. And don’t…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At first I liked the game but no update since 3 months. It's too slow and even if they gave the pets update long ago, I'm only allowed to have one pet, why? Lack of contents, repeating, and gets boring because of delayed updates/ probably abandoned..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has potential, with developers frequently adding new features. I unlocked all items (furnitures), and events, enjoying the experience overall, although the final hours felt repetitive. Events are engaging initially but lose impact once the tavern stabilises, especially with the cellar. Linked event chains, such as earning a tax reduction after a royal visit, could make gameplay more dynamic. Adding a story by allowing players (for example with upgraded waitresses) to eavesdrop on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lacks content. Has a good premise, but after playing for only a day or so I acquired almost 75% of the achievements... Wanted more out of this tycoon.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Idle game that offers no challenge whatsoever. I love 100%ing games but I don't think I can do this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →you unlock everything in the game in less than four hours.... not worth it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game runs out of content after about 6–9 hours. There are almost no decorations, and the customization options are very limited. I feel like there are better free alternatives available.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is straightforward and easy. Enjoyable at one point, but too little to do / make me stay for long. All items in the game can be unlock quite fast / quite early stage, less challenging. Only aim to unlock all the achievements, and that's all. It is a safe game to play if wanted to multitask, or while at work. Nothing will goes wrong even left unattended (if you set up your inn correctly). Quite recommended for people who need simple / easy / light business game. if there's still more…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There isn't much in the game other then, build room, watch people come in, watch them leave. It's basic. You have gold and fame, gold to buy things and fame to do augment each day if you have enough but again it's basic. The pace of the game is grinding slow, even worse when your level is higher, because all your doing is that, just waiting. Your employee's don't gain level's just your "Inn" so you have decide if your going to spend your points on new items, or if your going to upgrade your…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There came a point in both games that I played through where I was at a point where I was satisfied with where the state of the inn was at. I was pulling way more money than I could possibly spend and my inn was massive. I just didn't feel like expanding just to spend the money. Great game, lots of fun but gets repetitive.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For the devs, hear me out. Your game is boring. There is no actually a treat to the player, bankrupcy is not a treat player can come over that just by AFK'ing. Also, game is almost an idle game, you can just sit and click next day and continue with no drawbacks. There is not enough things to do in the game other than waiting for the next unlock or the next day. For now, im giving this game a negative review but im not refunding this just because i find what you guys doing very important. As a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is amazing. very relaxing. the best inn building game. I love it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is incredibly enjoyable. It left no trace of nerves or stress, and it was like therapy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've found this tycoon game to be more enjoyable than others as this is way more laid back with idler like features. It does take a bit to progress in the game, but I found with choosing better events and maxing out everything that progressing wasn't too terrible. It is a bit more plain than other tycoon games and lacks depth however that being said I have enjoyed playing it. Although the longer I'm on it, I find myself to just keep up with events and let everything run itself pretty much while…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What to make of this game? I wish there would be a button for neutral reviews. The game is just fine, it works well and has okay-ish gameplay. It is just so plain and boring. Most of the time I started the day and then played another game while this game was running in the background. There is no gameplay somehow, just a tavern simulation running without any thrill or exciting events... But well, Achievements were easy to obtain by grind so I got this going for me.

unlabelledView post →i'm a bit mixed on this, if i could just a neutral option i would. Let me start by saying, it's a fun game for what it is, but it's not really "management" sure, there's economy but nothing that i would consider anything beyond spending money on upgrading. It's essentially a clicker game, which is fun if you want that. I did however, have more expectations for it. You'll probably get bored of it around 2.5-3 hours as you start doing the same things over and over.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I absolutely loved "Inn Tycoon"! The moment I started playing, I was captivated by the beautiful art style—it feels like stepping into a charming little storybook. Managing my quirky guests and designing the perfect rooms quickly became addictively fun. Each day brought new and hilarious challenges, like dealing with demanding aristocrats or misguided wizards. The game balances strategy and humor so well that it never feels like a chore. If you enjoy management sims and need a good laugh, "Inn…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is nice and fun to see how your inn continuosly grow with new services and more and more patrons coming in. After a few hours you will see everything the game has to offer and there is nothing more to strive for. I would recommend it on a heavy discount since there might be around 6 hours of gameplay until there is nothing more for you to buy or unlock. The game misses something like campaign mode or scenarios.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A sit and wait game. Wait for money, wait for upgrade points, wait for level ups. Would not play again.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unpolished. Customers and staff often get stuck with pathing issues with no information about what's blocking their way or where, exactly, they're going to (serving a customer... which?). If there's a spill that keeps ending up under some furniture, it throws an error that just says {0} and you have to sort out for yourself that your staff can't reach a spill and where, exactly, it is. Eventually all the housekeepers will group around the unreachable mess, so that helps, I guess.…
