32 of 32 · most liked firstThis is nothing but a port of the original game so expect nothing new and nothing to be fixed. But still worth the price for what you get. I recommend this game for anyone looking for a small challenge to pass the time on a lazy afternoon. The scope is limited and the learning curve is non-existent. Simply read up on available (in-game) products at the beginning of a session, create a model of the first industry in your mind, then execute it before the AI decides to use your same spot. The…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice to know this game is on Steam and not just a digital release. The original release has been victim to the 32-bit death-plague with the amount of 64-bit machines out there, so it is nice to see the game cater to that. To help, the graphics are corrupt for high resolution and widescreen, however this is fixed by changing your desktop resolution to 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768. Thankfully the game is intact, but that's pretty much it. The game is hard and loads of trial and error and taking…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The same feeling as in the early 2000s :-)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Classic pc game, the expansion is included in this version.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't recommend this game to anyone because the graphics are not in HD like Industry Giant 2. This might be a very old game but It has a ton of problems that the devs should have been addressed before they released It. They also haven't released any details on the version at all.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Now I remember the pain I would receive from this game. The pathfinding of your trains and trucks is just pure hell. I recall having games it was great and wonderful runs where I got rich! I could manipulate cities! But then after playing it again I remembered that 7 out of 10 times your trains or trucks would end up stuck in a loop or broken. With no pause button you would loose months trying to fix small issues where your deliveries would get stuck. The random seed maps would produce…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am probably mister negative here but this game is something you shouldn't bother. Even revisiting with some childhood memories isn't fun. I mean the graphics are somewhat nice, but it just is too boring and cumbersome otherwise. The whole interface feels clunky, setting up production chains takes way to much time, not that you set up much since half of your chain is already done for you. The music is so mediocre, I like some tracks but it isn't something I would come back to. And if you…

unlabelledView post →While we're at the old games, Industry Giant II. Seems like it's a bit of a niche game, but I loved it. Though, I did find it a bit sad that you only control a business company, and you can't directly control the cities. Would be cool to see something like Industry Giant + Sim City mashup.
unlabelledView post →Not the best tycoon game by a long shot but still good for what it is and admittedly I enjoy it as a fun nostalgia trip into my childhood
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great for nostalgia and if you want to play a fun and fairly simple game without having to think too much. Runs fine for me on 3440x1440 ultrawide, suprised such an old game would work in this resolution
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good nostalgia, still buggy but much better than what i used to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved this game when I was younger and this version is exactly how I remember it, but better! I'm not having any graphical issues as reported in other reviews. I installed it on my main desktop and work laptop, both are working perfectly fine! Only issue thought is if you use dual monitor setup, as the only way to scroll the screen is with the mouse and the way the game is working the mouse will just go to the other screen instead of scrolling.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DISCLAIMER: This is a first impressions review, and NOT a full review Industry Giant is a game developed by QLOC and published by UIG Entertainment/Toplitz Productions The game offers some really nice graphics and a nice yet simplistic aesthetic which is pleasant all the same and has some amazing attention to detail even though it is a little rough around the edges The game does suffer with some repetitiveness at certain areas of the game but a fun game nonetheless and ends just at the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I play this purely for nostalgic reasons and I’m grateful it still exists. Industry Giant was my first PC game and I still have the physical disc, but it won’t run on modern hardware, so this version is the only way to relive it. Things to be aware of The game is unstable and randomly crashes (at least for me). It’s not optimised for multi‑monitor setups, so edge‑scrolling is a pain. And no, you can’t scroll with keyboard keys. The settings are extremely limited, which was pretty…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Get it but only if you have similar nostalgia itch to revisit a game from your childhood. Unfortunately the game was slightly buggy which killed any desire to try and play it for longer than an hour, which is a shame.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →4. Industry Giant 2 I completely missed out on Transport Tycoon back in the day. Instead, what I had was this little game. It ate up many an evening for me, although frankly speaking I was utterly terrible at it.
unlabelledView post →25: Favourite video game Probably A dead heat between Industry Giant 2, Europa 1400/The Guild series, Gothic series, Risen Series and Elex series and Virtual Pool FX. Utter perfection, each and every one of them! Bugs and all! Although steam would beg to differ 🤣
unlabelledView post →only play this game if you have like "crappy" monitor or something, because i check it with my LG 22mk400h-b and AOC 27B1H2, somehow the LG can display it properly meanwhile AOC have trouble display it ps: i use same GPU for the test
