60 of 102 · most liked firstThe one of the most undervalued games made by russian gamedev, in my opinion. Good story, stylish design, great music, big open world with own secrets. The game about Artificial Intelligence, enclosed in small indestructible ball, which controls a large battle machines, designed to exterminate all what it considers as enemy. But these robots doesnt want to kill all humans, it's too mainstream, moreover they would worship humans if they had them on their abandoned planet. But no one forbids…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game and one of my favorite! If you like open world games you need to play it, because game contains unique game experience. Unique setting not leave you indifferent.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Neither "Recommending" or "Not recommending" There's a distinction between a review and a recommendation and both of them shouldn't be mixed together. This is a review. Setting is fantastic, the spirit of sci-fi is strong in A.I.M. universe. But other than exploring the sectors, it's very tedious to actually play it after getting a hang of it. Interaction with enviroment is rather limited. There are many gliders and upgrades to pick from, but they must be grinded for. Gliders and their…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A.I.M. was one of the best games I've ever played, however, I think this one needs a bit more. Still, great game. I strongly recommend to play the original game before even thinking of buying this one. So far, the only bug I've found happens when you enter the Destroyed Sector; game crashes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I first bought the game about 1 year ago but couldn't stop it from crashing straight after the tutorial. I decided now to revisit the game and spent some time on the forums to get it to work. a simple download is all it needs http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=265182801 So happy as Larry I tried playing the game again. The problem is the missions get bugged out and often my ship refuses to move rendering me a sitting duck. Re-starting the game usually fixes it but sometimes…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Russia needs to make more games. Seriously. This, along with Space Rangers 2, are games I'm dying to see re-made, or taken as inspirations and expanded on. Along with Hardwar. Although the 'lore' and backstory here is a bit bizarre even for Science-Fiction fans, the gameplay is very fun, as you control sort of a Spaceship that was forced to be a Hovercraft. Most of the bad things in the game are due to the likely low-budget (compared to its ambition) and tech limitations of the time. The game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is not bad, but they never bothered to fix awful bugs that would result in 99% of times full on crash of game and not being able to alt+f4 it nor use task manager to end the task. It's same buggy mess as it was when i had the CD release.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Creators had left this world leaving machines with a simple a.i. Most machines just followed his program - moving to perfection. For this they fought and traded. These machines could not die, because after the destruction of their "physical shell" - glider, all accumulated information and "computer center" - mechanoid remained intact. And behold, one momet in this world of eternal war without death, world of eternal race for perfection came mechanoid which first began to think about something…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great storyline, great rpg system, great lore, but the graphics for 2007th year are pretty bad. If you like an rpg game with a great storyline, and you don't care about the graphics, then it's totally what you need to try.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It seems like a quite nice open-world game about cybermind organizations fighting and trading between them. The graphics are quite bad for a 2007 game, there are no excuses, but it's not this thing that turned me off the game. Unfortunately the game is really unstable and freezes 90% of the times I die, and dying is very easy in this game. I would really like to play more of this game, but the game won't let me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Очень интересная игра относящаяся к разряду культовых. Затягивает на пару дней.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Control scheme makes this game virtually unplayable (EDIT see comment). Bad text translations and little to no direction in the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sadly it was crashing after the choice and i did follow by deleting the music folder and still nothing. windows 7. it looked like an interesting game but i simply can't recommend it if it constantly has issues.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Couldn't get into this - controls are crazy sensitive even on lowest setting. Trying to pilot a low friction craft in the heat of battle when moving your mouse 3mm sends you into a spin is stupid. That's half an hour of my life I'm never getting back
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too bad SkyRiver studios doesnt exist anymore because we need a third part of this masterpiece.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →...current PC - Windows 10 / 64bit - 16GB RAM - tried single GTX690 GFX and dual running - crashed upon startup - didn't get it to work once... looks like due to age / not updating this title is now dead - avoid...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought it for the nostalgia and because it was on sale for a low price. This game did not run well on my laptop but it was quite smooth on my desktop computer, though I had to turn the graphics level down or it would lag in some places. I could not play the tutorial as it crashed when I tried but it didnt matter to me since I've played it before so I skipped the tutorial. Make sure to run it in compatibility mode for Windows 98/ME and run as administrator. The game has worked well so far and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you survive the game crashing when you try to set options, and when you try to start the tutorial, you have to deal with a narrow FOV, bad mouse acceleration and a camera that leans in the direction you're turning. Playing this game will lead to nothing but frustration and motion sickness.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played the first one for years without issues, this one on the other hand the controls are stupidly sensitive even with it turned down, i often end up spinning on the spot in battles which is infuriating. but the biggest issue of all is any time i die i am just greeted with a black screen it doesn't do anything, i htt all the buttons on the keyboard and mouse but nothing. even when i try to use CTRL, ALT + DEL to get task manager up the game screen doesn't minimize so i can close it i…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gameplay 6/5 Graphics 5/5 Story 4/5 Music/Sounds 5/5
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Keeps crashing whenever there's a cutscene. I can't progress when I want to make a clan or travelling to a different sector. I play on the Windows 10 if that means anything. I also feel that both the interface quality and BGM were lacking compared to the first game imo. However I highly recommend the first A.I.M. It's not on steam but you can download for free in theisozone.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well I've played this game long before steam (2011/12 perhaps), and I got it again for the nostalgia. Pretty good if you're into the genre and otherwise fun to play as well. Safe to say it will run on any potato of a PC you might have. Expect a lot of crashes though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Definitely a top 10 best ever game for me, A.I.M. has an incredibly rich world to play and explore in, coupled with an intriguing story and background lore. You'll have to forgive it's two only real flaws though: ingame texts are not perfectly translated, and a high incidence of crashing to desktop. However, there is a fix you can perform to mitigate almost all crashes, read this: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=653777682 All said and done this is the definite apex of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great oldschool game AAA+ tittle this steam version seems to have a corrupted ogg music file in the games Music folder that makes the game crash to black screen res lock each time the player char dies =) the trick is to delete or rename that folder, or find the bad file.. the path is /steam/steamapps/common/AIM2/Data/Music this solved that problem for me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the concept and the combat, but the controls just ruin the entire game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Horrible sea-sick inducing video game. it sounds interesting, but there's no way to reduce the seesaw of your glider. Sure, it may be realistic to seesaw in a glider, but my video games oughtn't encourage puking.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game crashes upon starting a new game every time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good solid premise, I can live with the bad translation, but the game is too buggy to actually run. Seconding the negative reviews here - don't buy this one, it's not stable enough.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Altho old, and clunky with a few bugs, the game has that old charm that is iconic for most 1C games. The story is interesting yet not in your face all the time, you can go trough it at lightning speeds or you could soak up everything the game has to offer, trade and courier missions alongside just blasting the enemy gliders to bits and collecting the goodies. And with the fact that a new game is being made? just shows that there is still interest in this old, underrated gem. Best of luck to the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a hidden gem but its a shame it was rushed could of been something amazing... Also am i the only one getting morrowind vibes from this game????
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →From what I've seen this could have been a pretty decent game when it first came out. However it's clearly not optimised for modern PCs. Everytime you die - crash. Everytime you complete an objective - crash. And these aren't your usual 'just Alt-F4 the program and close it down', oh no. These are your 'force reboot your computer' crashes. If it worked - possibly a 6/10. On modern computers - 1/10.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'd like to recommend this, and I feel like I gave this a pretty good shot, but it's really too quirky to play. I don't like the mouse movents or how I can't understand who my enemies are, and sometimes my own base shoots me for no reason. The entire game seems unpolished.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was getting a headache from the controls. I have to pass on this one. Maybe I'll come back sometime. Too many other games to play, plus these other games probably won't give me a headache.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was looking forward to playing this - heard some good things, but refuses to run on my machine. I've seen others with similar issues, but having tried every fix imaginable, I couldn't get it to run beyond the intro. A shame.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks and feels oldschool but has many flaws, I did not get into it because it lacks polish and music. Could call this a 2 dimensional descent tho you can jump.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just use something like DxWnd and turn down the music to escape crashes, and enjoy this amazing, one-of-a-kind game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the most original games i've ever played. Everything in this game is mindblowing, especially the plot and gameplay. I'm very happy that the sequel is in the pipeline after years.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Control are just junk and way to sensitive. Don't waste you money or time - move on
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An old game with dated graphics(as if that's an important thing), some annoying bugs, controls and mechanics difficult to learn at first, maybe some configuration files to modify to avoid crashes, and some other annoying or disappointing things. Then why my review is positive? It's simple, the awesomeness of this game smash everyone of its defects and make the game still worth buying(it even goes on sale quite often). I personally love this game even despite all of its defects, i'll never…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No idea what's going on.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the worst service ever. the game looks decent. yet it only run introduction and then error!!!!! why sell a game that does'nt work?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Play with a joystick.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best gamecrashing simulator.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unplayable, mouse sensitivity in game set to lowest setting and still needs to go much lower. I could barely control my vehicle. I turned music off and it stayed on. Game deleted.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is amazing. It has all of the stuff you need to get immersed into a strange sci-fi story for many many hours.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →AIM 2: Clan Wars is a strange but enthralling game, rife with jank balanced out by interesting and ambitious concepts. If you like slavjank and hovercraft armed to the teeth with weaponry and equipment you may like this game if you are patient enough to stumble through your first 5-10 hours in the first zone. Imagine Morrowind or Stalker but in hovercars (the game calls them Gliders) with a dash of faction management and an open world with mostly RNG quests which help you accrue resources as…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, The glider just bounces around uncontrollably... you can't even get it to fly in a direct straight line. Pointless game, with broken controls. I remapped the keys to make it work better, but still - it's like being a ping pong ball... no point. Useless.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a piece of a perfect game,too bad it's dead,though it's my childhood game :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surprising fun, but janky.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Might have been a decent game if not for being a nauseating hover bot thing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played this long time ago. Absolute gem! Everyone should try it who is into robots and stuff...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got this as part of my "How many games can I get for $5" review series. #6 of ~69 Even with the mouse sensitivity turned all the way down this game gave me horrid motion sickness almost immediately. I turned my mouse's built in accelerator all the way down, I turned every mouse sensitivity setting all the way down. It was still WAY too responsive, and coupled with the bouncing movement I have officially been put off my dinner. I loved A.I.M. Racing. So I figured A.I.M.2 would be a super good…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game crashed on me within 3 minutes = bad review
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →SkyRivers & 1C is russia's version of explosive diarrhea. This game is just bad. Good: Concept Uninstalls easy Bad: You need to install a patch from VK (or other places) to even get it to run. A.I.M.2 is actually worse than #1 Controls SUCK. Translations is .... less than 100% right. No cards, no achieves, limited support. Unless you speak russian most of the discussions won't help. The publisher has a bad history of support and dealing with non-russians (in my opinion) Y2k graphics in a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bad game. Not worth any money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Motion sickness: The Game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/J4GfLzkotZQ Movement feels more like slipping on ice than controlling an advanced spaceship it is a constant fight to do even simple maneuvers.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fast-paced shooter with fun modes and team tactics. sparks excitement and the urge to improve. perfect for fans of shooters and team battles with humor and firepower. keeps you engaged and ready for action!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is such a great game. A worthy continuation of the original. I just hope some day we get the third game. A tip to potential new players: Before starting the main quest build up your glider. Enjoy the sectors, get the passes, explore this semi-open world environment. Get to know the world, the clans, their goals. Once you have settled on the loadout of your kit, progress through the story. Very early game money making is done through escort missions - mainly platforms. Once you get properly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hard time not recommending. The setting is cool, and it feels like a smooth continuation of the first game. However, the controls feel wobbly, and the quests a bit less engaging. A new gen gamer would find it outright boring. Huge shoutout to Gregory Semenov - the man who composed the soundtracks for the A.I.M. games is an absolute GOAT and needs more recognition.
