It shouldn't be faster to grind gold for Jenins on stage 1-1 than at stage 7-5. Might revisit this game again in a few months if they rebalance the progression, but for now it's a no from me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is really dependent on what you want from an idler game. As the name suggests, you capture creatures known as Jenin and send them off to raid dungeons. A cool thing is that you can set an automater to continue the same dungeon over and over infinitely until you stop it or to continue with the next dungeon once you beat the current one (not the recommended approach). Progression is long, which for me is something I like as I typically want my idler games to be just that, idle, in the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played 135 hours, and I barely understand what is happening in the game. There is a lot of it that remains untranslated, so I cannot understand some things. Each section should have detailed help, but instead, it's random whether help is available, and when it is, it directs me to a website that is in Japanese. I speak and read English. There should be detailed help within the game, in each section. Add a help button to anything that might be confusing for people, to make it easier to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →only worth buy when on sale to be below cheap coffee. Not translated (bad translations, missing translations), mobile port. Game is unfinished. Some prepared parts are not reachable in progress.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You'll be able to collect all monsters by the time you reach 5 to 10 hrs of playing, and the rest is about constant grind to unlock next lvl items which are just stat changes and nothing more. If you are okay with it, that's good, but ppl like me who wants to get 'new problems' as game progresses might find it as exhaust of contents at the point. Probably worth it with 91% discount, but can't say I recommend if you are buying at a full price.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →-Excessive effort/grind for minimal return. -Not enough or confusing explanation of the mechanics. -Considering the fact that a lot of players communicate in English, in-game help redirects to a Japanese text website adding to the confusion. Playing doesn't feel satisfying for the time invested. ★★✰✰✰
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not well thought out or well developed, if you played the demp you pretty much saw most of the game. Monsters have a low level cap and reincarnating them provides 0 benefit. I've only encountered 2 different swords in the game. It's like the built a shop but forgot to populate it. I've gotten to stage 70 in the Tower and can neither progress the story maps or the Tower maps because I have no way of making my monsters stronger. Their levels and stats are capped and they have the best and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Frankly, I liked the game until I got 50 hours into it. There is a lot of missing English translations. There are NO TUTORIALS past the beginning and no direction on game progression. There is nothing past X2 battle speed, even later on (130 hours in). The strategy does not exist. it is just go until your opponent can burst you down to death and then get your team trained to be overpowered to handle it for the next few hours. It is a drab circle of disappointment. No direction, no story…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty good idler with a long life. Needs more english translations though, some of it is still in japanese. I can't understsand the support portal website either or how to get it in english.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game desperately needs sound effect variation.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The big issue I have with the game is the poor/lackof traslation - translation doesnt make sense for some stats its translated as x and for the same stat tooltip elsewhere its y, some tooltips are just english words jumbled up and the Set bonus tooltips arnt even translated at all. The grind is very long, every monster pull you get below epic is useless and the rate of getting resources is very slow. Theres multiple layers of rng, mob type, rarity, talents, potential, etc. It's a real shame…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game not playable it struck at first quest and can not unlock content , i try to go in discord and look like DEV has gone , game is abandon
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →edit: bugged quest has been fixed and game mechanic. have since beat campaign levels, got around 400 tower level, etc. dont see much more reason to play. Overall the game has massive pacing and progression issues along with some questionable design choices. Wanted to like because I am a huge fan of the concept but the execution was very poor leaving a bad taste
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Save your money and get Dragon Cliff instead. The progression is smoother, the theory-crafting is leagues deeper, and the systems actually work together. This game, by comparison, has unreadable set equipment text, terrible scaling, and a progression pace that’s painfully slow.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The scaling is off and there is like nothing to do. Mostly just waiting for for gold. Farming stage 1 easy gives the most gold just because its faster to clear.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's boring; idle games usually let you advance little by little so you feel like you're making progress. After 70 hours, there's a point where I don't feel like I'm making any progress beyond leveling up in the tower, doing a few levels, and repeating. The frustrating thing about this is that to do it, you need to craft weapons and imbue them with materials that sometimes break and don't work. So it's quite tedious. When you reach a certain point, they give you very little gold, so repeating…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even for an idle game, this is exceedingly boring and not polished at all.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The grind is a bit too much , at some point I unlocked level 2 equipment that looked EXACTLY the same as level 0...I mean its 5 pictures u have to add to the game common :D for 10 dorra game this was a huge dorra waste. At one point I beat a level and on that level I was being hit for 200 dmg...Next level ? 1500 XD what the ♥♥♥♥ is this balance ? :D
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To say there are no explanations for anything at all would be an exaggeration. There are one or two.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Grind is super repetetive and the infinite tower ist boring. Recraft gear for your pets for half an hour -> hit new cap -> recraft gear -> hit new cap, and so on. Crafting gear is frustrating as everything is rng. I had to roll for a specific trait 200 times on a single piece of gear..... Upgrading your pets? RNG Getting the right traits for them? RNG Upgrading gear? RNG Everything is a slog and boring. Its missing so many QoL features. Even buying items in the shop is annoying.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tend to love games like this but the lack of explanation and the monolithicly slow pace made me lose interest fast. Add to it confusing mechanics that are poorly explained (if at all) and you just end up not caring what happens in the game faster than it unlocks new or interesting content.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First of all, to make things clear: got the supporter pack, so don't claim I'm coming from a anti-developer pov. game lack seriously with in-game guideness, but that not the issue. few hours in, less then a day - its an idle afk game, so my timer represent like a day in real life - you're gonna meet the Fusion (merging) system. which is the ONLY way to improve your Jenin (aka, heroes). and its broken - in a bad way - as much as possible. In short: you need to get the 5th tier of heroes to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10/10 Do not buy this game unless you want to be beat to death with the exact same sounds for hours. It has not content worth pursuing and is a crime to have it on the steam page, wouldn't feed this slop to pigs
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a bad game if you get it on sale for $1.00 but its very grindy and boring. Most of the text is in Chinese as well so unless you can read Chinese you wont be able to read half of the talents in the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Most of the hateful rhetoric on this game stems from translation issues. I tend to think English only humans are fairly one sided and need to be taken in context. Does this game have areas that are left untranslated? Yes. Is it game breaking? No. I don't know what browser these fascists are using, but Firefox translates the wiki page to English, and the guide posted here on steam shows exactly which kanji stat you'll want for your build for the one spot in the game that matters that the game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →slow, boring, auto pet battler. Even having sound setting set to 0% ingame there is still both effect and music sounds playing
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Buggy. Has a weird graphical glitch where it sometimes becomes transparent and I can see my desktop through the game for some reason. I also had the game minimize on me and I couldn't unminimize it. Not fully translated. Menus are not intuitive and some features are not well explained or explained at all. Can't recommend even on sale at 89 cents. People are worried in the discussions that Fantasy Idle Dungeon has been abandoned. Looking at the 89 cent sale makes me wonder if game wasn't…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lost my saved game (48hours) after a PC reboot (while playing). Other players complained about some ram leak... I guess that's why my PC reboot itself. Anyway, save lost, and there's a lot of grind. Missing translation (can you read kanji?). Keep you money and save your time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →translate better some things are still in another language
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely 10/10 Idle game. 10/10 game. The mechanics (skills, traits, abilities, variation, leveling) all make sense and are very fun. RNG definitely gets a say, but I can't stop playing, literally, I let it run through dungeons when I go to work. Some features are still being translated to English (not many though!) but I can't recommend this game enough.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's worth a buck or two if you're bored and you enjoy these style of games. You can figure out enough on your own to get by, but sooner rather than later you will realize there's very little under the hood and the grind isn't worth the effort.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are no instructions and it's very simplistic and repetitive. Not worth wasting any time with.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In all honesty and for myself for the most part, i wouldn't recommend this game. The lack of information on specific items is driving me nuts and some of the quests have huge requirements to finish such as the "I need 500 of this specific item" when you only get 1 or 2 per battle. Leveling up is extremely tedious in the beginning and nothing seems fun to do. If anything it seems extremely mundane and just has you staring at the screen waiting for the next battle. The only reason i haven't…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this Game Has BUG For Stater , we can't Complete fist Quest, so that will make u have Problem to play game because every feature not unlock so we can't play more. I Face Bug : 16 Jan 26 Write : 21 Jan 26 (While this Game Have discount promotion)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →On first glance this game seems bare bones but as you start to unlock things you realize theres a lot of depth here, people saying the games grindy must never have played an idler before, leave it running on easy stage 1 and y7ou will soon have many resources! theres plenty of gold sinks here to keep you coming back for more and as you understand the system more you slowly start to get hooked, thanks to that owl which is vital to silence some tower nasties, from gems on your gear to formations…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dragon Cliff with cute Jenins! Very addictive, a bit grindy, has some things to polish, sometimes missing translations, but it's fun to play Would like to see some story-journey and unique bosses in future updates
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not good, not fun, bad mechanics, unclear information, slow progression, bad rng. I'm pretty charitable to idle games. save your money on this one
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good idler, auto battler, creature collector.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →wouldnt even start properly, and once it does start it shows the game logo screen and then crashes right away
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty entertaining idle game! Allows a lot of customization and optimization, with a rewarding progression. It does take a while and a lot of ressources to get places, but... well, its an idle game, so imho that's good. Also very nice art style and a ton of creatures and different abilities and party builds one can experiment with. So far there's also very frequent updates and balance patches, the devs being pretty active and listening to the community, which is also nice. Edit: Well, Dev…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Reminds me of Dragon Cliff. I like it so far.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is good and fun, but it needs A LOT of polish and It should be in EA, not launched... The Good (mainly): +Good variety of Jenins; +Progress feels good (there is a good amount of grindy); +There are good ideas on systems. The Bad (the most urgent fixes): - It needs A LOT of polish in its instances (you can't let different teams in different locations, it breaks the game); - Some places looses it's "clickable use" out of nowhere (you have to restart the game to get it back to normal); -…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Caveat Playing on Nobara: After 5 hrs and saving the game con no longer resume game and "battle"... the basic premise of this game...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DO NOT BUY Untranslated text all over the place, help/info button sends you out of game to an also untranslated website, bugged quests preventing completion, visual glitches when swaping menus or going into mini mode, zero monster balance(just grab high atk and afk), none of the standard progression from other idle games just simple 'number go up' nothing more, loot and gold drops heavily skewed towards random time given quests which makes grinding slow and almost pointless, visuals of initial…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →-100/10 = NOT PLAYABLE THIS IS THE WORST PROGRAM (CANT EVEN BE CALLED A GAME) EVER TO BE OPENED IN MY PC. THE ONLY BUG I ENCOUTER is that after the first quest, you wont be able to open the quest window ever again so it can never be progress further. AND NO WAY TO FIXED THAT AFTER MANY MONTH OF WAITING.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to give this game a chance, but for some reason it has a game breaking bug in the start of the game where i cannot go back to the quest page to complete quest which locks me out from unlocking other buildings to continue the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really want to like this, but it has some elaborate systems that are never explained and all the help is in Chinese that does not translate well. It redirects you to some weird website with some kinky images on the side. Kind of sad to make a game and then not make it accessible for players from other countries. Also questioning the USK 12 rating because of the redirect. The grind is also real. Getting XP to level up your creatures can be a real slog. So far it is ok, but not great.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/HvYfPsOMYT4 Loads of systems without enough context makes a soup of numbers and choices that often are just filler.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a really solid idle game. It has just enough depth that you can choose whether to let it run in the background or actively play and manage things yourself, which I think is really important for idle games today. I especially enjoyed being able to build my own teams and assign creatures with better stats to different areas. It adds a nice layer of strategy while still keeping the relaxing idle feel.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I feel, like many games, everyone wants different things in their gameplay. I'm no different. I'm interested in game dev and I'm always curious about how other people will approach creating their games. I would recommend this game for those that don't mind things being broken - though I do feel like this game should have been early access, like one other person mentioned, which would have created less expectation of a polished game from the get-go, so I get the disappointment. This game is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR - (some) Numbers automatically go BRRR The starter Jenin are just throwaway randos Micromanaging the leveling process makes me not want to turn the game on
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's got a couple bugs, but it's a great game otherwise.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was a decent game, but the problem lies in zero gold gain, while needing massive amounts. It had a gacha system that you could gain money from if you worked at it, that was nerfed so hard it's not worth trying anymore. *EDITED* Tried to give the game a chance without the system. Too bad the simplest thing like locking a Jenin does not work. Accidentally click a parchemnt? GGKKTHX. Don't waste time or money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hang-up good game, painting style is good, very fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Purchased on Sale during Autumn Sale. (Recommended at sale prices. Not recommended full price, see below). I've been playing for a few hours now. Yes it's a bit grindy but you can minimise the game and continue with other things while battles are ongoing. The designs are nice and the game works well as an idler as you only need the mouse to click around and take part. (Perfect for passing the time on a sick day). Important to note that some untranslated text from Chinese can cause confusion…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Review info to take into consideration: I purchased during steam autumn sale, game had large discount. I wouldn't recommend this game at full price, it's really fun but not enough to engage with for me to feel $10(USD) is warranted. With that said if you get it on a good sale this is a really fun idle game, I've gotten my money out of it and the game overall has a lot of charm. The pixel graphics are fun and make it a solid game to run for longer sessions as many idle games require, the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Snagged this for $0.89. HIGHLY recommended! No clue what people are talking about with bad translations, everything is in English on my screen.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game has many bugs that screws your gameplay and many parts where there are no translation to english (its only in Chinese). The website for help is also in Chinese. Game is OK (has potential but I'm not willing to keep going anymore), a lot of mechanics are not explained as well. Only recommend it if you truly like Idlers and its on discount (I got it on 91% discount).
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →was fun until i reached the obligatory "this is the part where you lose until you give me money" where i went from comfortably beating the levels to immediately getting 1 shot. not worth even the small amount of money it costs until they figure out balancing
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played for around 200 hours and I still can't really recommend it. There's actually a lot to do and a bunch of systems to mess with, but the game explains almost nothing. You basically have to figure everything out yourself and waste a ton of resources in the process. The community is also really small and almost everything you find is in Chinese. Even some links inside the game just open Chinese guides in your browser. It's not a bad or unplayable game, just way more frustrating than it…
