In Fear I Trust, as it stands, is a discontinued series of mobile puzzle adventure episodes. In itself they aren't too bad, maybe a little bit on the simple side with some few puzzles being unnecessarily difficult to get clues on. Due to the fact that the entire story just leads into nowhere due to the discontinuation of the episodes, there's little point in buying this and playing it. Additionally, the asking price is way too high for the measly four hours of playtime this delivers. Four…

This game was originally released on androind/ios, and was remade for the PC. So far, the story seems somewhat intriguing, but is mostly told through notes and pages you find around on tables. And let me tell ya, there is a $$#% ton of those. It feels like I spend half of the time reading things, instead of exploring around. However, I still found the game entertaining, and even though the story is told in an almost obnoxious way, it is still interesting.…

Unfinished and incoherent story, but decent puzzles "In Fear I Trust" is a series of four short first-person adventure games, which are connected through their main character - you are playing through various stages of his life. There is also a mysterious, presumably evil corporation which appears in three of the episodes. These overarching plots that connect the episodes are left hanging - the game is unfinished, at least one more episode was planned but never released. However, each episode…

In Fear I Trust is a four-part mobile port horror game that is defined almost exclusively by note finding and puzzles. It's important to state right from the start that this is an unfinished title; the fifth and last episode has yet to be released. With the developer, Black Wing Foundation, currently working on the mobile adaptation of Life Is Strange, and having worked on three other projects after the release of In Fear I Trust, it's almost safe to say that the final episode will never be…

🌟 Review Exploration and puzzles with suspense and horror atmosphere. Gameplay In Fear I Trust impresses on quality and simplicity of gameplay. In first person, you can walk, interact with specific objects, solve puzzles and collect secrets. The controls respond perfectly and even with the suspense, the game becomes relaxing. Plot Your objective is to reveal the secrets behind a soviet experiment. The game splits into 4 episodes, however you barely feel the transition between them, which…

I've only currently played the first episode so I can't comment on the overall story arc, but what I've seen so far is intriguing to say the least. While very evident this is a game intended for mobiles, this PC version is actually pretty good. I can't say I really like the narrow FOV much and sometimes it really does feel like there's too much reading, but the puzzles are ultimately quite fun and diverse. Get it while it's cheap. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3HyhfTycoM

How disappointing! This game is supposed to have FIVE episodes, not four. I can not recommend a title that is unfinished and abandoned. Sorry. :( That being said, I really enjoyed the story and the puzzles which ranged from obvious to head scratching. I'm just not happy because there is no point to playing a game that I will never see the end of. For $10, all you really get is roughly 4-6 hours of gameplay with no resolution. Save your money.

It's not a terrible game, there's just nothing really appealing. The graphics are good, for a game from the late nineties or early 2000. Unfortunately it's 2017 and it looks dated, low poly objects, low res textures and characters look and move like wooden puppets. The story is somewhat interesting but is cut up in so many disjointed pieces that it is hard to get a clear picture of what was going on. The story also jumps from time period to time period and from one location to the other without…

Far too easy and way too short for the price. I was given this game as a gift, so I tried it. It really wasn't awful, but episode one took only 30 minutes with no external guides or assistance. The puzzles are basically handed to you on a platter, so there's really no thinking/solving involved, and the only reason it takes any amount of time to complete is the walking speed. Now, that being said, the story was interesting enough, and after completing the first episode, the 'preview' for the…

I expected a creepy point & click puzzle game, and I got it, sort of. Some puzzles are painfully difficult, and nobody bothered to post walkthroughs to Steam, so you'll just have to Google the solutions. Most puzzles are insultingly easy, because your "retrospective" just tells you the answer. The environments look pretty good for a low-budget game, but the characters look really bad. The voice acting is decent, but some voices are badly mismatched to their characters. The subtitles just…

Hmmm....this is a tough one to review, as it is only part 1 and not the full game. Whilst I have completed this chapter, I can only make assumptions about what the remaining chapters are like based on this one. Getting straight to the point: it's a puzzle game / walking simulator, about some weird kind of experiment that may or not be seriously *fudging* up peoples brains. Either turning them psychotic, or opening up their minds for some kind of cosmic transcendence. Without having seen all…

Pretty poor overall. Fractured, disjointed narrative that succeeds in crafting lots of questions with little in the way of answers, so instead of intrigue you have confusion. Really not sure why this gets a horror tag as there is nothing scary or horrific about this in the slightest. Most of their focus seems to have been on episode 4 as the game started advertising scenes from it before I'd even completed episode 3! But even that episode is hardly stellar. And there doesn't seem to be much…

This is a strange game four stories with very little connection and no underlying background to give you a clue what is going on. Some of the puzzles are extremely hard while many are extremely simple. Come out of this game wandering what it is you have spent your time doing and why. Episode four has some technical issues with problems with frame rate not experienced in the others. No obvious reason why. If there was a connection theme then this game could be a classic but at the moment no.…

This is really good so far. I could definitely end up changing my mind later on but as of right now, I'm really digging the story. It's one of those stories where the character ends up signing up for some risky experiment to try to do better for his family but the experiment is either not what they signed up for or it all goes terribly wrong. It's the kind of story that's been told before so it could get boring quick but luckily, they've stuck in some interesting puzzles that make the…

Thank you to the developer Black Wing foundation and publisher 1C Entertainment for providing a good game for me to escape, explore and enjoy. In fear I trust is an episodic puzzle adventure game that tells a very confusing story. Each episode is only about 90 min granted you read, listen to all tapes and finish all puzzles. After completing all the episodes, I am still unsure on what is happening and in the end not sure if we will ever know because the last episode #5 is MIA and seems to be…

In Fear I Trust is a first-person psychological horror experience that leans far more heavily on atmosphere, implication, and unease than on traditional survival-horror mechanics. Developed by Black Wing Foundation and published by Fulqrum Publishing, the game places players in the role of Nikolay, known only as Patient #17, who awakens in a bleak, claustrophobic facility with little understanding of who he is, where he is, or why he has been imprisoned. From the very beginning, the game…

Aggressively mediocre. With puzzles pulled from the 'Baby's first video game' textbook. A story that's been told to death, and with an atmosphere that's about as frightening as a coffee shop.

The graphics are terrible, the puzzles are illogical or just annoying, and the story is boring. It seems like it's a mobile port, so unsurprisingly it also has tons of technical issues. Not worth playing at any price.

Length for all chapters: <3hr 30min I want to hit this off from the start, buy this game only for the gameplay the narrative is not finished and will most likely never be finished. The story of In Fear I Trust at the minute is very disjointed and I am not sure what is even going on, maybe supernatural, maybe the story is filled with metaphors who knows, we are NEVER getting an ending. In Fear I Trust the player is effectively going through events in the main character's life, each adding to…

IDisclaimer: I did enjoy this game, but objectively - it's just not so good. So that ended up as a thumbs down. If I had to put it on a scale I'd say this is a 5\10 game. Short review: + That's a puzzles-only game, if that's your cup of tea. Personally, it reminded me a bit of the 7th Guest & 11th Hour, although it does not live up to the same quality of puzzles, and has a much more serious vibe. + Somewhat ok stories for each chapters separately. + Collectibles +/- Very short, around 2-4…

Actually liked the game, enough to suggest at least a try for it. Though, sometimes I felt lost with some of the puzzles as I went on in the story, something like they were launched at me without any advice and I had to grab them or being hit by them... Not sure about the ending and part of the story. Got some lighting issues with some extreme glossiness all over some places and items that I couldn't manage to circumvent.

After completing all four chapters of the game my feelings about it are very mixed. I liked the concept of the plot and story but was ultimately annoyed and disappointed in chapter four when nothing about it progressed at all. I didn't expect a conclusion because, to my understanding, there is a fifth chapter yet to be released but I would have liked some kind of progress to be made. It left me annoyed and frustrated. Especially because chapter four had little to do with the plot or story. The…
