60 of 190 · most liked firstHumorous Dungeon Keeper like game. Pros - Good beginning story - lord of the pit to sidekick of a loser - I love stories from the perspective of the bad guys - The demon, your champion, really does grow to be a bad ass. You get served very easily towards the beginning, but at the end you've reclaimed your lord of the pit status - Session skill tree. Points are earned through almost every action (i.e. killing heroes, crafting items, raiding, etc.) You unlock new branches of the skill tree…

Gameplay in Impire is heavily inspired by Dungeon Keeper. You are in control of a demon, and you have to build your own dungeon, with a large amount of rooms to build and modify however you want; along with building tunnels connecting all of the rooms together, you can create some really interesting dungeons. The action in Impire is based around having squads of other demons, these…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As you would probly guess it's like dungeon keeper with some gameplay changes while trying to keep the same brand of humour. That being said it's take on the humour, in my opinion, feels childish and drab while the gameplay leaves me struggling to keep my attention in order to finish. Not to say it's a bad game, you should know that if you want to play a dungeon keeper type game then you could do better.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The best part about this game is that it’s so dead and abandoned that nobody is going to find it – let alone read this review. But if you did read this then you’ve already wasted more time than the game's worth. Just exit this page immediately. Exit and never look back. While you’re at it, do yourself a favor and block Paradox Interactive. If you’re not convinced yet, I will try to make a short review. Is the game – objectively – really that bad? Not really. Overall, on a scale from 1 – 10,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you think you are buying the next Dungeon Keeper.... DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. It's a generic, poorly written, unfunny story, who takes away the best aspects of a Dungeon-sim to replace them by cheap-shot humor. Personnaly, one of my worst buys on Steam, ever.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Impire is a poorly executed amalgamation of some of my favorite franchises. It could have been oh-so-much more. The Good * Its like a MOBA-Squad based Dungeon Keeper * Its Ardania (I'm a big fan of the Majesty franchise) * Characters are pretty awesome * Dialog is great... although the demon's voice is slightly annoying * Pretty nice graphics overall The Bad * Dungeon Keeper clone is not Dungeon Keeper * Pre-Fab rooms cut down on customization. Training room, for example is a fixed size.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty rough strategy game in my opinion. The controls are messed up and some mechanics are just plain frustrating. It's similar in some ways to Dungeon Keeper but much lower quality! Hard pass on this one!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First off - THIS IS NOT DUNGEON KEEPER! Do NOT buy it if you're looking for a DK fix. Go play Dungeon Keeper instead :P The story line isn't really that great, and the animations and voice acting that follows it, are below par. However, if you last long enough to get past that, the game play is quite enjoyable. A sorta dungoen building/ dungeon crawling combo. Build up your squads so you can have them zapping over whenever those pesky heroes come a-knocking, while you were out exploring…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I do think this game is enjoyable, if even just to waste time. There are certainly better games out there, and this is not one of those eye-popping good games. However its a good game to play when your bored or just want to be evil. I am dissapointed with the lack of a good skirmish game. If your looking for a game you can easilly spend 100+ hours on, dont buy this game. If your not strapped for cash and you just wanna experiment and dabble around with different types of games this is a good…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just awful. No control over building at all, it is all cut and paste. This game is so far from anything remotely good it hurts. Yes we expected a Dungeon Keeper type game, get over it, that is what the customers wanted and it was not even close. Even attempting to look at it from a different point of view as a stand alone game not compared to Dungeon Keeper will leave you disappointed. This game is all about puting down a few predetermined rooms and leading your minions to a fight then to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →dear god this is one of the worst things ive ever paid for. ever. the cutscenes are barely animated, the AI is almost non existant, pathing is broken, and the missions are BORING....and the attempts at humor might be mildly amusing to an 8 year old
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →OK, so this game fails on multiple levels. First, it's tedious. You work and develop your dungeon and squads of units but, even though you have a single entrance to your level, the heroes create ladders that can appear anywhere in your dungeon and enter through there. You then have to deploy all your troops to the ladder to destroy it. As you lose the level if they get to your vaults and escape with any gold, and as the ladders can appear right in front of vaults; it can end a level with…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Humor is nice, gameplay is nice, it's not nessisarily a *bad* game... But it's also not a *good* game. It's far too grindy, and a lot of people will go in hoping for dungeon keeper, only to end up with a squad-based RTS where every unit looks the same. This would be an 8/10 game back in 2003, but this is 2013, ten years guys, could have been so much better. Again, not *bad*, just, with the sheer amount of better games at a lesser price and a similar theme; it's a pass. Thanks open market.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just ok... lots of repetition and really I recommend you go play Dungeon Keeper for the real experiance. Even with 1997 graphics the origional Dungeon Keeper beats this for game play and enjoyment!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got this thinking it would be a variation on Dungeon Keeper, was super wrong. The story is fairly bland and the gameplay gets repetitive. Been meaning to finish the game, but it's become more of an obligation to complete it rather than a desire.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nah, don't even bother to give this thing a try , better learn from my mistake. I dont even think this thing deserves to carry a literal 3 digit price tag, but what a devaluation of money it is that. You can say the game is not my type but No, the game is literally not anyone's type for Goblins and demons sake. Though there were no visual crashes and bugs, but there is not a single factor or inch of a Pros I find in this game. Lackluster campaign, clunky and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had it for ages, replayed it just now and honestly it is weak, Dungeons to Calypso is so much better The buildinig of rooms is less free than that of Dungeon Keeper, War of the Overworld or Dungeons. The ha-ha humor is annoying, the mechanics are clunky and annoying. and still I liked it a lot better before I played the Dungeons series. It is mediocre and average down to the tiniest detail... I really wish someone would make a dungeon builder villan game where you actually are a twisted…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Impire is probably the best dungeon management game that has come out in a long time. While the story is nothing special and almost linear, it is commendable that this is done flawlessly. The voice acting is on the spot, at least for the main cast. Micro- management has never been this much fun, since well… ages (in my opinion). Impire keeps you busy and interested from start to finish. Complaints about repetitiveness of the game might be founded, but I think it is more of a matter of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was enjoying this game, right up until the puzzle with the colors and the switches. I have memory issues from a TBI, so when the advisor gave me the clues, I wasn't able to memorize them so I could solve the puzzle. I didn't realize I'd purchased a memory game and wouldn't have spent money on this had I known the developers put these types of puzzles in their game. Sure, I could google the solution, but the issue is how early it showed up; there's bound to be more of these types of puzzles.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I definetly recommend this game. It has great strategy, its a good time killer, and the quirky characters and the voice acting is something gamers will enjoy. 7/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Seemed fun at first but becomes very monotonous after an hour of playing. +humor +playing as a bad guy (still rare) +not many games in the dungeon keeping genre +not bad graphics -gets boring quickly -repeatable side quests -escalates slowly
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Came back to it after a really long time. Nope. Still quite weak game. Wanky controlls, need to manualy add new members to squad, protagonist dying all the time. It's mostly annoying experience. If there are more easy ways to do things in game, devs do really bad job explaining it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly I was going through my library and considered reinstalling this under appreciated gem. Almost all of the negative comments were addressed by continued support of the game, some of the gameplay elements people didn't like such as random ladders are all now things you can change in options. If you like dungeon building and can grab this game for cheap, definitely pick it up. While in it's initial state it was something of a train wreck, the state of the game now is pretty polished.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Impire is a clone of Dungeons. You play as Baal-Abbaddon, a powerful demon accidentally summoned by Oscar Fairweather to the human realm. You lose your powers and get stuck in the tiny body of an imp. The objective of the game is dependent on the game mode and what the campaign tells you to do. Gameplay-wise, it's like a repetitive RTS. Unlike Dungeon Keeper, there is no evil Hand. Instead you use a squad menu which can be used to teleport units all over the explored map. Impire is fairly…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a lot of the same though the scenario's... Building your dungeon up, leveling your squads, doing the requirements for the scenario. But I still liked this game a lot. Like the theme and the gameplay. Sad to see that the servers for online gameplay are offline. Which makes almost 50% of the achievements impossible to complete. That's why I give this game a negative review.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →8/10 found a few bugs
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute game. Interface is a bit different and takes some getting used to. Overall, worth the price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is terrible, put a nail inside your hand would deliver much more enjoy than this game, believe me, do a favor to yourself and skip this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A decent game, somewhat similar to Dungeon Keeper. The place were it fell off the wheels is coop. It's non-existent. Each player has no bearing on influence on the other, and hardly interacts with anyone else. Do not buy if you are thinking of playing with friends.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not to put too fine a point on it, but: there is not enough Dungeon Keeper in the world. Impire looks like a decent-enough clone of Dungeon Keeper, but it is sufficiently unique in most respects to be its own game. This is both good, and bad. The good side of things is how Impire handles dungeon management. By zooming out or pressing a hotkey, you’re given a flat top-down view of your dungeon. Here, you can queue up units, build rooms, order upgrades and place traps. Units, like minotaurs,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game starts off great but even on easy I had to go on line multiple times just to figure out how to beat the level. Also the difficulty is a gradual clime till it throws you off a cliff with no warning. If you want to spend the night swearing at a game this is the one I recommend for you.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i wanted to play the game, i set it up to fullscreen and set it up to my resolution. game ask me to restart. game wont open at all now... nice 10/10 game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cheap humor, poor mechanics, bad copy of Dungeon keeper. Spare your time and money and skip that one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is very grindy, and a lot of repeatable stuff. There's not much to see here in game mechanics that I saw. It was really easy too, not much conflict. I wasn't impressed, but the idea of making a dungeon sounded fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This isn't a good game, no matter how hard i tried to like it while it starts out promising it delivers so very little and while the Humor is mostly on point it sadly can't make you ignore the painfull excuse for gameplay this game has. The Campaign largly consists of the same structure over and over again. - Get a base going - Get an army going - take the objective while there would be nothing wrong with that, seeing as many criticly aclaimed titles follow a similair pattern. If there was…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At first glance, the game looks as if it's a successor to Dungeon Keeper ..If you go in thinking that, you'd be wrong. Sure, it seems to have the look that could be perceived as a spirtual sucessor to Dungeon Keeper however only the atmosphere and humour could be loosely based on Dungeon Keeper. To summarise, you play the role of a demon known as "Baal-Abaddon", whom of which is summoned by a not so smart sorcerer named Oscar, into the lowly form of an Imp. The gist of the game is helping…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Impire. A game with mixed reviews but something I've come to love and enjoy plenty, having taken 73hrs to complete my first campaign, albeit I admittedly took it slow and attempted to get every single side-quest I possibly could. The game has a lot of character and I love the style of it, it reminds me of dungeon keeper at all points albeit you will have more control over your squads of your minions which honestly I prefer a whole lot more, so on that part it feels like an RTS at times…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought it for 5 bucks and liked it enough to finish it, which took like 24 hours. I don't think it's as bad as people here say, it just isn't a good game for most dungeon keeper fans, which is ironiclly the people most attracted to this game. In dungeon keeper things run by themselves if you set things up correctly, this is not the case here, you're in charge of pretty much everything. Every weapon a unit equips, every time a unit goes to eat, or train...you'll have to do it all manually. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good Dungeon Keeper clone, although my biggest problem was the dungeon creation... Literally 0% creativity when it comes to designing your own dungeon. The rooms are preset to certain sizes and layouts, so all you do is find a spot and plonk the room down. I also had issues with the story and the pacing of it. Honestly though I would recommend this AFTER you've tried every other DK-esque game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cool game with funny comedic plot where you can control dungeon development and multiple minions. Make raids, protect your dungeon from intruders, expand dungeons, do missions and attack various beings on your conquest. Unfortunately, can crush and kill your quick save making you start a chapter over, but main save didn’t suffer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even though this game is pretty bad, I feel like the developers could learn from the issues people had, and then develop a game using the parts people enjoyed, and the parts they changed to give people more fun. personally I liked the artstyle, and I hope they change it from rts squad manager, to a full on dungeon keeper esque game where we evolve baal and can do stuff like the newer games from the dungeons series hope to see this come true. I like this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not the worst game ever, but still really bad.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not the biggest fan of it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is just bad
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Impire, while trying to be a new interpretation of Dungeon Keeper and coming close in some regards better than the Dungeons series, ultimately fails to catch the spirit of its spiritual predecessor. Many parts of the game feel either too generic or too convoluted, but the main problem lies in the weird pseudo-free-to-play mechanic of levelling your dungeon lord between campaigns and maps and being able to cut the grind short by putting money into microtransactions. To be fair, the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL:DR; Poor man's version of Dungeon Keeper. Eye candy graphics, but without any depth or substance to keep player engaged, full of bad design choices. Worth 7$ at the most. Perfect sale material. Review: A game with a nice graphic that suffers greatly from bad design. It's 6/10 at the very best, and that is being generous. Horrible grind and micromanagement, Very odd controls and menus, music and voice acting that bring a tear to the eye in the same manner as an onion does. Graphics 7/10 -…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nowhere near to Dungeon Keeper. Don't waste your money on this disappointment.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just be evil :) remembers me about Dungeon Keeper.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got Banned by developer for Negative Comments. Not even close to DK. Repetitive & monotonous. Stay clear of this game. Metacritcs give this review of 45, This shows how bad this game is
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →im starting to think theyre dumbing down games on purpose
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awful game. You may hope that this is the new Dungeon Keeper, but it really, really isn't. Move along, save your money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A charming strategy, with pleasant gameplay, some original ideas and humorous wackiness. The cardinal sin, it wasn't Dungeon Keeper 3. This game doesn't deserve it's low score. The gameplay is fun and the mechanics are strong. The controls could have been better, but you get us to them quite fast. The game could have used controller support but by no means, does using a keyboard and mouse take away from the fun of the game. Allot of people talk about the "ladder" aspect of the game being…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's straight ♥♥♥♥.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted it so bad to be DK3. Was it? No. Did it come close? Not really. It was a very enjoyable game on its own. If you buy it expecting DK3 you won't get it. But what you will get is a cool little dungeon builder, although limited, is still fun to lay out. It was fun to set the traps and stuff and wipeout heroes. There isn't alot of replayability in this title. I played it twice and then it kind of died. There isn't really much that will make you want to do it all again a bunch of times. It…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Impire is quite fun. Humorous, well voiced and narrated and pretty if you want a dark game. It progresses slowly and whilst the take by the hand tutorial can be tedious... it can also be turned off and it isn't as buggy as some people have made out. Work your way around in different demonic squads and raid ♥♥♥♥ and evolve your minion. I'm only a little into it, but not bored after a couple hours. Certainly doesn't deserve such bad reviews. If you like dark humour especially give it a try at…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not good enough, Slow, broken controls very slow campaing and stupid jokes. Not worth the 0.90 euros i paid for it on G2A for it. ps: i still believe in the Return of Dungeon Keaper
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was fun at first, it is somewhat humorous but the gameplay is kinda boring after a few levels and slow too
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Controls are unintuitive. Gameplay incredibly slow. Not recommended.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Edit: This is a response from Paradox - the publisher to a technical issue raised by a user. "Unfortunately the multiplayer servers are no longer up." -> The game seems to really need an active server so looks like we can't really fix it ourselves. :fsad: - Paradox does not have the right to update the Steam store page to get rid of the Multiplayer mentions, it's the devs that have this right. - may 2017. So unless things have changed be aware that co-op and multiplayer are currently…
