60 of 115 · most liked first+ Terrain control + Cute, but not annoyingly so, characters - Poor sound. VO sounds like someone had some awful series of accidents in audacity. - Poor camera (and camera controls). Feels like a poorly adapted port from a mobile game; no zoom, quite clunky in general. - Lack of variety. Limited missions, characters, powers, and reasons to actually play. More or less feels like a dodgy phone adaptation of Black & White without any of the qualities that made B&W engaging, fun, or challenging.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is extremely short spent 2 hours and 48 minutes to beat it. The game it self is pretty easy but rather slow pace for combat. The troops in the game are pretty weak so u tend to just overuse your god powers to get though a level.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is a too repetitive in the missions, with bad voice acting, still some bugs in movement-controlls, annoing witing-phases for your mana to build up,..... For the current price of 16.99 € a total rip off.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to love this game, it could've been everything I'd been yearning for since Populous: The Beginning but unfortunately these were shoes too big to fill. Controls felt minimal and very clunky and the aesthetics of the game looked rather primitive. The gameplay itself lacked depth with nearly every aspect whether it being construction, units, powers or terraforming almost as if it was an iOS game. Idol Hands has potential but stumbles with every feature that makes God games great, I would…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My Let's Play: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_DXSlmHQ1U Quick Impressions: Idol Hands is a God Game that features terrain deformation as a requirement for growing your village of Furlings as well as being used offensively/defensively (whichever way works best strategically) against the opposing God/village. Easily the Terrain Deformation is the stand-out feature in this game and is handled remarkably well and is graphically impressive. You'll need to use these powers to level land so that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Please read completely before making full judgment. The TL;DR is at the bottom. Before I purchased this game, I saw that the top reviews were negative ones. However, I liked the screenshots and description, and I am fairly open-minded with low expectations, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I think one of the biggest problems is that people are going into this expecting more than what it is. The popular tags really should include "Casual". Overall, I liked it. It is a God game, but on a Casual…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Idol Hands takes a godly amount of time to actually start getting interesting and that's only if you can survive the dodgy voice acting during the unskippable tutorial which, let's face it, sounds like it was recorded from a tin can connected to some string. The fact that in a game where you literally play a god, it was bizzare that my actions were limited by mana and subsequently I never actually felt like I had any meaningful input and didn't feel empowered as a god. All this and a bizarre…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very shallow.. Won't even bother writing more
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So this is Idol Hands. With all the hype over at GMG, i was expecting something huge, something they failed to deliver on. Its not bad, don't get me wrong, its just not Black and White 2 great. Those are some big shoes to fill, i get that, but the developer could have tried a wee bit harder. After reading some of the negative comments, they all share the same gripes, which are also mine. Postive: its a god game, with volcanoes you can Smite them rats into oblivion terrain control( it is a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nothing spectacular. Fun casual game, and worth the money.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Below is my original review of the game, about a year ago or so. I jumped back into it after reading some of the negative reviews people had posted. At the price 4.99 that it is now, this is a great deal. I do wish they added more control of your people but its not a game breaker. It is a short game but still enjoyable. The first thing you will notice about the game is the fact your in the tutorial...for a while at that. But the graphics are actually what you are going to notice. The game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This could have been a cheap simple casual god game, but it's far too flawed to recommend even at $5. The god-game aspects are minimal. It has very basic resource gathering to service a lackluster RTS gimmick that doesn't provide much challenge. Now as a casual strategy game that might have been OK, if the game actually worked well, but it doesn't. You'll encounter a lot of glitches, the frame rates will lag even on a system that far exceeds requirements, and just to be annoying it likes to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite fun, but short. Pace very slow. Had everything finished in 5 hours. I wish there was more. My advice: only buy when on sale.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So its time for a review... I have to say that i enjoy this game, allthough there are a few disapointments. -i would like to be able to see hitpoints on the buildings i destroy as i just watch them scream and shout before the building finally is gone. - havent figured out what makes the power thing destroyed to win lvl, if its destroying all buildings or just wacking it enough - the tutorial is abit of a drag, could probarly easy be fit into one small tutorial as the game it self is easy to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Couldn't play this game, I am using Windows 10, it has a very high fps break. it's quite unplayable even though the game opens. I tried to run the compatibility option and run as adminstrator but had no effect. I even tried changing some settings in the nvidia options but to no avail. So I will rate it as negative due to being unplayable at the moment, maybe if you have an old computer it might work.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unplayable. The game has 5 fps by itself, it doesnt use the resources of your pc.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Idol Hands currently isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it's fun and enjoyable. I'm aware the devs are active on the steam forums and are planning (during March 2015 - less than a month after release), a path to fix some issues people have reported (some being feature requests). To me, it already looks good and has great potential. Idol Hands is a God-like game where- belief auto-collects, you can raise/lower AND smooth land, you can set earthquakes, rain clouds and lighting…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The short and skinny... PROS Decent graphics, but that's subjective. Devs are active in the forums. Devs said in a post they plan on adding more content/features. Some may be game enhancements (camera, zoom, speed settings), but extra content such as new lands and spells will most likely be DLC. So this is more of a "nuetral" variable, not necessarily a "pro." CONS limited "God actions." You can raise, lower, flatten land. You can call in a few powers such as earthquake, lightening,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I get between 2 and 3 FPS. Reported over a year ago and still not fixed. It might be a good game at 60 FPS but right now it sucks,
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →unfortunatelly unbearably low fps on i7 920 + 1050ti + 16gb ram + win7. just like for so many people, unplayable for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty buggy and slow Populous clone. There are many better games like this one out there. The graphics are fine, but the performance is really bad. If it's really cheap it might be worth a look though.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not sure why this game has such mixed reviews. I found this game a clever little gem for under $5. For the price its amazing! I'm over an hour in and I'm still having fun just playing the tutorial quests. Haven't even switched to the main game yet I'm having so much fun. Its super cute. Has different camera angles and CAN zoon unlike some of the other reviews had said. You mine resources to get the guys you need to conquer the world. Simple, casual, and fun to play. I got it as I LOVED…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want the money I didn't pay for this game back.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game gets repetitive quickly along with the lack of missions, characters and control. The voice acting is kinda is bad, But the good thing is the terrain control is alright. Hopefully the devs update the game and add more stuff but for now ima have to say no.. The game did give me flashbacks of the game Black and White 2.... One of the best god games ever!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So disappointing seeing what could have been a truly awesome game being botched like this. It could have been great! For me, this game instantly presented problems: Major issues: - It immensely increased in fps lagging very quickly as the village expanded even just a tiny bit. It seemed like it would drop down 2-5 in FPS-rate for each border expansion or flattening of land, getting just worse and worse, for no obvious reason whatsoever. Neither the (low) amounts of units, the decent-enough…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game seems fun at first, then after the first 2-4 levels you realize the only difference is that the enemy gets tougher, starts working faster and the terrain starts off different... Eventually had to start carving massive mountains to slow down the enemy which failed when their God flattened them and i ran out of Mana. 1/10 fun for the first few levels and gets incredibly dull and repetitive.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was going to try to 100% the achievements on this for the lols but I cant get anything over 10 fps so I uninstalled
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Most of what I would say is covered by other reviews but to put it simply: This game is trying to be an RTS/God Game and does both poorly. The RTS aspects are sluggish and more akin to a flash game such as Age of War, which is free and a better RTS. The God Game aspects are minimal and only really serve the largely boring RTS. Would not recommend now or at any price-point. Do note: I have not touched this game since 2015. It has never provided any reason for me to give it a second try.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →:| That is my face throughout playing. I had high hopes at first, but the gameplay is repetitive, the creature sounds are repetitive, the quest is repetitive, everything is the same level to level. I thought I was still in tutorial, but apparently I wasn't...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I decided to take a look at this game again today. The gameplay concept is pretty solid while the game itself does feel a little clunky. With some performance tweaks, Idol Hands would easily be one of the better "God" games available. My only real complaint during this playthrough is that each level feels a bit rushed and there are some cool looking things in the environments that seem like they should be worth investigating. Ultimately, it feels like there are a lot of untapped elements that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like this game but there were just too many problems with it. It was very glitchy. I was forced to restart many of the levels because the soldiers would not respond correctly after placing the totem. They'd stand around in a group even if the totem was placed in an area they needed to attack. And even though I played the entire game from start to finish I never received the achievement for completing the game. The game must have glitched out again...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great game to play i love it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-M4OvJdu_D8 This game was clearly sponsored by the Pro-Hurricane lobbies. Rain doesn't do any damage, all it does is put out fires and make your crops more useful. FACT: HURRICANES KILL MORE PEOPLE EVERY YEAR THAN ANY OTHER NATURAL DISASTER. Volcanos do not beat rain, rain is the most powerful force on Earth. Despite this poor design choice the game is very fun.... for a couple of hours and then you realize how repeatitive the campaign is. It's always…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Idol Hands is an older game from 2015. It's a venerable 9 years old at the time of this review. It's basically a ripoff of Black & White but you don't get the cute avatar critter that you can teach to do things, and the gameplay is a little bit more shallow. Black & White from Temu, if you like. It's a great concept for a game, as Black & White showed us, but this deficient copycat doesn't bring anything new to the table. And the challenge for the developer of this was to convince people…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, after the Godus debacle, at least this is a god game and not a money grabbing scheme. Let's put it this way: this game is where Godus whould have started. It's has interesting elements, at the cross between Populous and Settlers. The BIG probleme is the interface and balancing. the interface is really clumsy (no zoom... seriously???) and not great to work on. On balancing, it takes ages to destroy the core of an enemy... I mean you can wait for 30 min just waiting for your guys that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to like the game because it is fun using the God Powers and guiding your people. However, as a God Simulation game it only has potential that it fails to live up to. It's a mediocre game that doesn't have basic mechanics like allowing you to choose where to build things or a fast forward button to help you not wait as long while you gather resources. Furthermore, it has bare bones design such as the buildings or the creatures you control where the enemies you fight are the same rat…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Didn't really pull me in. Looks dated, UI is a bit awkward to use, has performance issues.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Need mroe sales for this game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Will absolutely enjoy it ......................... when finished. Graphics & interaction good, just not enough to do.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome game, just wish it had a random map mode.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved the action in this game and really cool graphics - cute but firey. A real darker underside to what, on the surface, looks like a really cutesy game. Pros: Its got great graphics The AI is really sweet Love the earthquake and volcano effects - we need more of those Great price for such a beautiful game Seem to be really engaging with the community Great for the young ones in the family as well as us older players Cons: Not enough content, but i did read they are working on more content,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My biggest issues with the game was it's lack of control options and the developers answer these concerns with haste. I'm honestly quite shocked how quickly things we fixed. It's a breath of fresh air seeing a development team that actually cares about user feedback. I'll post an actual review in the next day or so about gameplay but I felt I definitely needed to update my review, these guys have really earned it.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are two games with the same name, this, and a sus anime hentai game. make sure you buy that game and not this one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It’s kind of limited, but it’s okay if you just want a simple game where you can use lightning and earthquakes to destroy the enemy. I got it on sale for 49 cents and it’s definitely worth at least that.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, you can beat it in a day, or an afternoon if you're more hardcore than me. You probably won't pick it up again unless you want to try for the steam achievements, or you've got another afternoon to kill to see if you can beat your high scores...soley for the sake of beating your high scores. Some people are into that. I'm probably done with it. Thats why I'm recommending it. For <$5 you can buy, finish, and beat a game. No dailies. No weekly event. No life sucking eternal online micro…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The God game genre has seen its fair share of flops; Idol Hands tries very hard not to be one of the many to set aside. Idol Hands is a game that will appeal to casual audiences but will not impress them by any means. The features of Idol Hands are very few, and variety is lacking. Once the initial interest in the game’s single focus mechanic has been played out, you are left with a disappointing hurry up and wait game. To see the full review head over to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is laggy af and has no detail settings in-game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Actually works pretty well
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think this is badly optimized, I've been playing GTA V on this computer fine and this game runs really choppy with very few FPS making it unplayable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It’s kind of limited, but it’s okay if you just want a simple game, if you get it on sale for cents and it’s definitely worth it as it has trading cards which have a chance to fully pay you back for the cents you pay for the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do you remember the game "Godus". Where you had to raise and lower the terrain for your minions to build. This game has a similar mechanic but instead of limiting what you can do. Afterwards you choose which people you recruit. It's a number balancing game. Woodcutter -> Farms -> Blacksmith -> Soldier/Priests After you figure out that pattern with recruiting. There isn't much else to learn.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →for 1 $, it was a good buy for me. had my fun for a little while. will return to hear the screams of the enemy villagers. play god. throw all the elements at the enemy village. burn them, bury them. electrocute them. melt them with lava. if your kind of game is to just destroy and kill the work of helpless (enemy, but you ca do that to your own too) villagers (not too bright villagers), with lightning, earthquake, volcanoes and meteors, then this is your game if you want a game where you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →RECOMMENDATION: MAYBE... IF THE PRICE WOULD BE NOT HIGHER THEN 2 DOLLARS... Remember that game Populous 2: The Beginning? This game is very simular to it with a bit simplistical graphics. It also has a large learning curve and not all mechanics work fluidly... Yet, once you understand how everything works, it's kinda a fun game. You expand, you grow strong, you take over and you take out. The camera however is a pain in your brown eye, especially when you are access the towncenter to give…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very beatiful game with it`s own atmosphere, but not without minuses tho. + God Simulator in Populous-3-style more then Black&White + Nice graphics: very simple, PC with medium configuration will play it on high level + Easy to learn, simple mechanics Now about minuses: - Bugs with Save/Load. You can`t load saved game at all, but you can start last level anew. - Stupid AI, you can win using simple strategies. One level of difficulty. - Short compaign, which is ended with eternal sandbox level…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At best, this is a good way to get rid of that steam giftcard that's been burning a hole in your pocket. At worst, it's $5 you'll never get back for a game that's only fun for a few minutes before the clunky UI and lack of variety make you wish you'd never heard of a furling. I'm in the second camp, as only a half an hour made this game feel less like a true god game and more like a poorly contrived mobile RTS. 4/10, because it does let me light my enemies on fire.
