TLDR I'd give it a 5 out of 10. It ran fine, concepts are pretty neat, art is fine, music is there, menu's tiny bit annoying, the randomness is absolutely positively obnoxious as is the excessive grind (in my opinion of course). TLDR out of the way, those wanting more... The Good Bits -- The Stand concept is refreshing. Effectively they're just 8 equipment slots, and you can bank more to swap in and out. Evolving them into different forms is neat. Being able to expand the map to sorta…

A "Mixed" review option really needs to exist. Game has a lot of good ideas but I find myself getting bored of it fairly quickly in play sessions, also the randomized gear crafting (stuff like Magic Attack + gear turning into higher grade HP + when combined) is just.. not it. Makes the game play out more like spamming gear crafting then just paying gold to reroll it into stats that are more ideal. I like the inclusion of some Three Kingdoms era heroes and Sun Wukong, without them I don't think…

Was easily one of my favourite Steam Deck games this year. Finished everything up a few months back then noticed the 2.0 Update. I'm about 1/3rd done all the new challenges and it's just as good if not better than I remember. Really enjoy the new Artifact system for gear as well. A great game to chill out with.

Do not recommend. The game looks nice at first. But after playing it for a couple hours, you realize that gameplay is very shallow. Basically, it's a game about building your character. But there are no synergies at all. So all you can do is flatly max the numbers. The two dmg types statwise and itemwise are complete copies of each other. So e.g. if we swap all the stands attack type to another, it would not change anything (imagine doing the same in brotato)

with the 2.0 drop I feel comfortable recommending this, I enjoy the new mode alot. it does need some tuning as the number of viable setups for the highest difficulty... is few, but its still great fun.

It could be a cool game, but This game makes a TON of questionable design choices that just snowball into a giant bad game. I do not like the currency conversion, which starts low (10:1) and then I upgraded a few times and it changed to (14:1). No, I don't need an ever increasing grind. And, the game is room locked behind RNG of mining chests for gold to unlock the next room. The currency conversion system makes this feel like a cheap mobile game. In fact, now that I think about it,…

7.5/10 Recommended. I think this game has the potential to be among the top tier of this genre but is sorely damaged by a few baffling choices. 1) No Tutorial in a game that really needs one. I unlocked the artifact mode and am slowly understanding the equipment upgrade screen but have no clue what to make out of the meta progression screen for it. 2) Why are levels so difficult to access in terms of requirements? My reason for abandoning this game is simply because I don't have the…

I'm somewhat tentative on this game, to be honest. It's more positive than negative, and I do love most of the design. Pros: The game is inventive. The game is mostly intuitive. Most of the systems feel well designed on the surface. The art, audio, and overall production are good. It's got a lot of replay value. I rarely found myself wanting significant UI or informational improvements. In fact, it felt like they went above and beyond to display information in a way that was fairly…

Oddly addictive game, where you assemble a team to fight for you while you dodge waves of attacks. While it is easy to quickly find favourites, the various achievements and characters encourage experimenting with stands. And if you fail, you go again. As I am writing this review before 2.0 releases, I am very excited for more options in building the team and selecting equipment. Major positives: - very replayable - does not require quick inputs and is a good choice to be played while watching…

Addictive, but Needs Polish The Good Addictive Core Gameplay: The game hooks you in immediately. Diverse Party Building: You can build a party with varied attack styles and distinct upgrade paths. The Bad Clunky Interface: The UI feels clumsy. It is very hard to keep track of what individual upgrades actually do. Heavy Meta-Grind: It requires playing too many matches just to farm meta-progression and get powerful enough. Passive Combat: Once your build is set, you barely need to move or…

I may return this, but I do think it merits a neutral rating (if Steam allowed) since it's not inherently bad, but it does a few things well and others not well. For context, I did play an hour or so in the demo and didn't love it then either, but confess I hoped with the 2.0 the game might have come farther along. The systems that seem fairly solid: The "stand" evolutions system is expansive and creative. If this really sings to you, you might love it despite its gaps. The gear evolutions…

At 40 hours, I decided to finally do a review. To sum up my experience with this game, Just don't bother, like most of bullet hell vampire survivors rip off games, you reach a point of auto failure where they just don't let you progress without failing 10+ runs till the game decides to give you things that actually do damage. I'm honestly tired of seeing all this "RNG" that is clearly not rng...it's forced time wasting for progress and to be honest...I'd rather go play something that respects…

Game is AWFUL! I literally quit in the middle of my 1st game because i couldn't stand it anymore. There's no instructions on how to do anything. For example, the forge allows you to ? randomly create gear...except that you can combine some stuff and not others, like you can combine a necklace with an armor to create an ax. I have no idea whats going and why i can combine some some, but not others. --> I don't see any patterns or explanations. Then, there's the party member combination screen.…

It's an ok VS game but very grindy and on purpose made to have less fun then you should. Developers made sure you have to spend hours to grind up to have fun. It's a solid 6/10. With a bit more work this could really be a good VS game. Now it's just ok.

Very fun survivors-like game, at first it feels like the game is huge, but after a while it becomes less so. I feel like it could use some deeper mechanics and more combinations to form new stands. The talents tree are ok at first, but soon you will realize that you have a super high cost to create a "build" in the talent's trees. I think the branches should be more exclusive to each other, like Offense tree should go either to Magic Damage, Physical Damage or Attack Speed / Skill CD, and…

It's fun for a while, but it's got some real issues. First off, is you have to adjust the effects transparency way, way, waaaayyyyyy down to be able to play effectively, otherwise its impossible to see what's happening. But they give you the sliders, so it's not a downvote-worthy issue. What IS worth giving a downvote is how unlocking progression is like pulling teeth. Once you've unlocked an completed a unit recipe you can set it so that the components will be flagged on the level-up…

Good things - Has low cost compared to how much time you can put it into it trying to unlock everything - Challenging to unlock everything (I am still not done, maybe 70% of the way at the time of the review) - Good variety of meta progression between regular runs and artifact runs - Personally I find the skills interesting, they don't all just do more damage with a different skin - Decent variety of in match upgrades that allows you to strategize and pair with meta progression to complete your…

I fully maxed out the artifact tree, and now this artifact doesn't appear at all. The roguelike randomness is most likely scripted against the player, dropping all sorts of junk. Stands are also much less randomized now. Even the triple ban doesn't help; you'll just get all the unnecessary drops. The damage reduction to bosses is complete nonsense. I'm doing everything I can, and the boss doesn't care about me or my leveling... It's a shame the game had a chance. It's a mindless grind, a waste…

I have 35h in the game with the new update with artifacts now you can craft stuff that give new bonuses and get set bonuses that can be upgraded to have others sets too ! This new update add a lot of gameplay. The game is not like the other "bullet heavens" you can do a lot of builds and many builds work. I can only recommand to play it now with the new update because you can have legendary stands !

Fun game. Fun crafting systems. You craft both your fighters, which are the weapons you would have in a vampire survivor game. And you craft your equipment, which gives you bonus stats during a game. Your fighters get drafted in a shop, with you having 4 choices, you can buy all of them if you want. If you buy the whole shop, you get 4 new choices. You can also reroll for 1 soul, which is the same resource you pay for fighters. You can also just leave the shop and hope for a better…

I've played lots of Suvivors games. Personally, this one is my favourite. Especially the new 2.0 update and artifacts. Why? - exploration - lots of unknowns, lots of things to learn, lots of things to try - progression - the progression in this game hits the sweet spot, where the power gains you get come fast enough you can still do the exploration mentioned above, without losing every single run - dopamine - there are many RNG moments, simple decisions, but enough that when it hits just right…

I Am Legion: Stand Survivors, developed by JA Game Studio and published by Gamersky Games, is a top-down action roguelike that blends fast-paced combat with strategic depth. Since its release in early 2025, it has captured the attention of players looking for a challenging and replayable experience that offers more than just mindless action. The game’s core appeal lies in its innovative "Stand" system, which introduces a wide array of summonable entities that assist the player during battles.…

Omg this roguelike game is pretty fun. I bought the game while it was on sale, and then after reading some others' experience on Reddit tried it on my Steamdeck. It's based on the Vampire Survivors series, but it's a bit more interesting than that. You pick 8 "stands" (spirits that follow you around, similar to Jojo's Bizarre Adventure) to fight by your side and progress against the level. The hero merging dynamics are pretty intuitive, but when you discover a new combo, it gives you a…

Kind of gives some Magic Sword: Heroic Fantasy vibes in a way since you recruit a variety of characters that attack automatically. I recommend this to fans of the bullet-heaven/survivor-like genre. The Jojo-esque stand system is fun and it took ~10 hours to feel like I had experienced all of the different evolutions and combinations. I cant remember what I paid for it. If it was only a few dollars, then sure its fun for a bit. You'll get through the content before the characters are maxed, or enough of it to realize that its all the same. You can't ever get a build that feels incredibly OP. For me that is always a disappointment. After I've grinded the meta I want to be insane by the end of a match.

One of the more interesting bullet heavens, but as of Feb 8 2026 there is a 10% chance that a run will crash, erasing all mid run progress, which is quite frustrating. Seems like there is a memory or resource leak of some kind. Hopefully a future update fixes it, and I'll be able to swap this into a positive review.

You play as some sort of summoner who uses "hero souls" to summon warriors to fight for you in dungeons. These are called "Stands", for some reason. The main way to get hero souls is to level up or interact with summoning shrines. You can equip 8 at a time and they follow you around in a ring. Summon more to upgrade or merge them into higher tiers. Early game Gear: During a run you collect ore and interact with anvils to forge gear. Bit of a grind however very enjoyable. No hand-holding, you get thrown in and figure it out as you go. Not too complex and some minor nuances maybe should've been explained however not giving any tutorial at all does add a certain charm and personality to a game like this. Challenging in the mid-game then gets you feeling OP by the end again, both per-run and with meta-progression outside the runs. Once this game was not exactly a revelation but a competent survivors game. Good on the combination and upgrade side, not so good on the explanation side. After a year since my last game I thought to myself to re-install it and fire it up once again. Unfortunately the game now is completely unplayable since as soon as you have played 1 or 2 minutes it starts stuttering. It's a bullet hell combined with a merge game. You upgrade heroes by merging them, you can access to any heroes because you can buy any starter heroes and merge them to make new better heroes. But the thing is you have to know the correct merge combination to get the better heroes. You can play with a guide but I think playing without one is better. It can be chaotic and laggy towards the end because there is no limit to the enemy spawning, imagine World War Z LOL.

Its a NO from me. Maps are made with the minimal possible afford. Also, the art style, monsters and bosses are absolutely average The idea of collecting heroes and transforming them is kinda cool, but it missed something. It often feels like a downgrade, especially if a physical hero, for example, turns into a caster.
