60 of 178 · most liked firstI played Asgard's Fall when it first went to early access and was pretty excited to see what they had in store for 1.0, but I dunno, it feels like the devs were tired of this game/gave up and just pushed this out. It took about the same, if not less time, to complete the 1.0 than it did early access. The reworked systems feel flat. tl;dr There's a lot of potential here in the various systems, but they don't feel complete and overall feel rushed. Not recommended in current state. It is fun…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game seems fun at first but it has glaring issues on repeat plays that just make me think this was vibecoded by someone who has no idea about game design or engineering. The skills and upgrade combinations just don't make any sense and are insanely unbalanced. Yeah my auto attack is doing 100-200 damage while the spear of the elder skill combined with the knot upgrade that PERMANENTLY increases damage per enemy hit does 2-3 million damage per hit one-shotting all bosses and enemies. How…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't recommend this in it's current state. Patches are few and take super long. The base is very solid and it has a great potential to become a great game. But right now it is just ok. Right now I have everything maxed after ~20 hours played and no reason to continue for the moment. The price is luckily pretty low, so do consider supporting them. But as I said, the last big patch has been a few months at this point. And nothing else has dropped since.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I surrendered a perfectly fine run, because I got bored. There is just not much to do between the first and the last boss in the 20 min of a run. You run around and try to collect XP as much as possible, which feels like a chore to me. In my opinion it needs two more bosses per run and get rid of the collecting mechanism or give better options to play around it. Another problem i have with the game is that the effect of forged weapons feels visually underwhelming and you can only get one. It's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really want to give this game a positive review, I've mostly maxed all 3 chars and done all the currently available levels. However something with the game's RNG is just wrong...even with 200%+ increase of legendary stuff, I still get streaks of 20+ white rolls. You get several incredibly borish and unfun runs, forced to surrender over and over, until you finally hit a run that'll work. While it is possible to hit 20 minutes with just all white and purple skills of course, it's just not fun.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good start to the game, but it's not where it needs to be. Pros: -Fun skill systems, the warpaint is a great idea for a modular system -Weapons feel good, with a few having interesting mechanics -The art style is easy on the eyes, making it a good game to relax with -The Wyrd web system presents a minigame to your skill selection, which is a great idea Cons: -The levels are a bit overtuned, you rarely improve in power at the same rate as the stage difficulty. This is made worse by…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kind of yeah, I do recommend the game. Just not now. QoL and polish is needed. Like many early access, roguelite survival games, visual clarity is a huge problem. Not sure why every game of this genre overlooks it in the beginning. It's not a problem in the early stages of the game, but once you start adding modifiers and in later stages, it becomes a mess to look at. Auto-aim should have a keybinding for it. You can definitely get through stages while on auto-aim, but sometimes it is worth…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not sure what happened between early access and now but I just came back to the game since I saw the 1.0 launch and it literally is a slideshow. It seems like some sort of memory leak because it progressively gets worse and worse every second the game is open.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Somehow both super enjoyable and unfathambly boring at the same time. I wouldn't recommend this game unless it is on sale.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is an inferior, Viking themed, pixel art version of Soulstone Survivors. There are no enemy collisions whatsoever; so it's all red zones and run-run dash-dash. Other than the Knot System for playtime upgrades and the boss encounters, I'm not sure there's much going on. There are only 3 characters. All the maps are featureless squares (they do have different enemies and damage patterns). The Warpaint gear system is miserable to use due to disparate interfaces for equipping and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In its current state I would not reccomend to buy this ga,me-I 100% completed it. There is barely 2-3 hours of new content when playing and honestly I would wait for a full release. The implemented mechanics are fun but very simple and shallow and the whole game just needs to be more difficult with deeper thigns to do
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't really see any reason to get this over the many other roguelikes out there. The war paint metaprogression feels clunky and unpolished, the different levels feels like they're mostly just visual, even if you go with completely different abilities the runs feel pretty much the same, there's just not a lot of replay value compared to other games in the genre. It's okay for a few hours of fun if you can get it on sale, but they said they're planning to increase the price on full release and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know why some games like these work (brotato, vampire survivors) while others don't. Sure, this game is kind of buggy, doesn't really let you see what does and doesn't hit and there is a complete lack of information on any of the rather advanced systems, but still, that doesn't quite explain why this belongs to the don't category. Now, I was kind of thinking to just beat the game and then uninstall as the stages don't really pose a challenge and you beat them right away, but just now,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very basic survivors game with boring skills and characters. You get the same skills copy pasted for each element. Navigating the menus with a controller is really inaccurate. Sometimes the cursor jumps to a menu that is not open and wont switch back before closing the menu and opening again Somewhat buggy, remapping controls can crash the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is poorly optimized and starts stuttering and lagging right from the beginning. I’m a fan of the bullet hell genre and have played many games such as Vampire Survivors, Nordic Ashes, Conquest Dark, Funguys Swarm, Yet Another Zombie Survivors, Rogue: Genesia, Halls of Torment, Army of Ruin, Grind Survivors, Tower of Babel, and many others. I’m not here to discuss whether the game itself is good or bad. What I don’t understand is how the game can already lag and stutter when I’ve only…

Show the devs some love! store.steampowered.com/app/2780710/... #IndieGaming #IndieGames #IndieGame
unlabelledView post →Roguelike bullet-hell game with some really fun mechanics. It’s still in Early Access, but the devs are very active, and 1.0 is coming soon. The gameplay is smooth, the art looks great, and the different builds are a lot of fun to experiment with. Personally, I think a full Lightning build is pretty overpowered if you can get Overcharge. For achievement hunters, most achievements are easily earned just by playing the game normally. The only exception is the 1 million kills achievement, which…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Asgard’s Fall is a fun survivors-like with interesting systems that set it apart from its competitors, the Web of Wryd adds an extra layer of strategy to keep things fresh. It’s got great ‘game feel’ as you tear through hordes of Norse cannon-fodder as the abilities are varied and engaging. I look forward to what the devs have in store for us in future updates.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are better survivor games out there. This is still half-baked.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Been playing a lot of survivors game with over 1000 hrs on the genre and this one stays true the most to the original vampire survivors with additional progression that's just not satisfying enough or different enough to recommend this game. Pros -If you like Vampire Survivor it is pretty much close to it -Crafting system is probably what's unique to this game Cons -Yeah some of the RNG control in this game is outdated as Vampire Survivors. It does not even have a ban item and no wish item…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Light recommendation, as there are for sure better roguelikes but that doesn't make Asgard's Fall a bad game, just a little lacklustre. Warpaint and the Web of Wyrd are interesting mechanics that are fun to experiment with, as are the weapon combinations, up to a point - there's not enough content to keep me coming back for more. I got 11 hours of enjoyment which is plenty for the price, but wont be rushing back.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/Yt_wazattCA Heavy on systems and build customization but lacking in the moment-to-moment gameplay leaves a hollow total package.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Niffelheim archer boss makes the game not recommended. Discussion board explains how terribly designed this boss is. You'll die before you understand what is even going on. Developer is welcome to respond when the boss is fixed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to start this off by saying that I want to give this game a good review, but since the alpha the big issue with the game has been item balancing, and this version of the game only makes that issue shine so much brighter. On base difficulty, the entire game is laughably easy (more or less no damage walking through every level up until literally max difficulty) but once you do reach max difficulty, the game just becomes a slot machine. You get one choice per level up, with enough cash…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would say that this game needed a bit of polish before it was released into early access. There are materials that you get that you can't use for anything. Various quality of life features are missing. You can't see how many upgrades you have put into your weapon unless you randomly get the chance to see your weapon come up in the upgrade lottery. The rune system i think overall is a good idea but i think it could use lots of quality of life features: sorting, protecting runes from getting…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →close to the vampire survivor, but lack the satisfaction of merging skills.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →alot to say about this game it feels unfinished more like a deemo but i was kind of "okay" with it till the recent update why? BECAUSE THE REMOVE THE OLD FILES AND NOW I MUST START FROM 0 NO WEAPONS OR CHARACTERS OR ANY PROGRESS WAS SAVED they erased everything ♥♥♥♥ you guys you piece of ♥♥♥♥
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So they deleted 13 hours of progress and gave a cosmetic for it... thanks.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Currently there are a handful of bugs (such as slowdowns and non-triggering abilities) that make the core game experience rough, akin to how it was back in EA. Optimization passes and bug reviews need to be finished before I could potentially recommend this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's a VERY good one. For 5€ now on sale buy it and support the team. Top 5 VS Like for sure.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Every time I come back to this it gets more complicated, you can trasha whole run with one misclick on the knotgrid and they wiped all the runes..... yep I'm done! Edit: bow boss that ignores the games mechanics (undodgeable attack, 1-2shot kill, gives you 10sec to figure out the mechanic and takes 10minutes for a retry....)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I farmed a ton of Legendary runes, and now they are all gone :C. The Rune System before update 0.21 was better.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is my new favourite game. It’s like a puzzle Vampire Survivors. You don’t need quick reflexes—if you play your cards (or nodes) right, you’re safe. What I really appreciate are the small things: – Being able to walk over everything on screen. No fake obstacles, no nonsense. Just smooth movement. – The UI makes total sense, and you can still hide HP bars, damage numbers, or tone down the effects if you want. – That it looks super minimal, but the animations are beautifully smooth. – That…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After 25 hours and support during early access, the game is fully released and all the progress is lost. The compensation some cosmetics. Not OK at all.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game crashes within 2 minutes of starting every single time. only reason i didnt refund is it was part of a bundle of actual good games
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It´s not a bad game but I can´t recommend it simply because it has some (fixable) issues and there are so many better games in this kind of genre. - it has some minor bugs. very often while chosing an upgrade my controller only registers going left. After chosing a skill it functions normally without issues - 99% of the time the game runs silky smoothe - as it should. Then sometimes it drops to 2 fps - some of the menues are a pain to navigate - I can´r really point my finger, but something is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game, but they need to fix issues where UI windows perma freeze. I got before my first run and now after it. other than that it is very fun and has good progression and challenge.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A tight little bullet-heaven that's has interesting and meaningful session and persistent progression, and is put together pretty damn well. Absolutely worth the price of admission.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a very good game, but at its current state it buggs out quite often.. => screen freezes for a second => your character gets teleported to another position from then on no ability work any more unless you upgrade them one by one sometimes after that short freeze a black circle appears on the map that grows. plus also the 2nd boss buggs out quite often.. just disappears completely from the map, but still insta kills you
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing game, Web system is absolutely genius and unique I love it. Hope the devs keeps working on this gem I am having a blast
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Asgard’s Fall - Viking Survivors feels like a strong Early Access foundation that just hasn’t finished bulking yet. The core ideas are solid. Warpaints are a genuinely fun system to mess with, and the Web of Wyrd adds a light meta-strategy layer that makes level-ups more interesting than the usual “number go up” survivor formula. Abilities combo the way you’d expect from the genre, bosses are actually engaging fights (a rare compliment in bullet heaven), and the overall flow of a run feels…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great vampire-survivors-like game. It def needs more content before full release but if the devs stay on the same track this will be a fantastic game for someone looking to scratch the survivor-like itch. Highly recommend for < $5
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still in early access so not telling anybody to buy this game. However let me say that I did enjoy a lot of time in the game so far and it's shaping up to be a solid game to play from time to time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It’s a pretty good game. The first few hours are fun, but after playing for a while, it gets kind of repetitive. Some abilities feel pretty useless, and the combos could use some work. The game needs more content. I hope they update it soon.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →too few bosses per run makes it feel really slow and boring
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Started playing Asgard's Fall — Viking Survivors yesterday and can only recommend it. I really like the gameplay and need to play it more this evening.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really relaxing game with good visual and sound effects
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →kinda boring survivor like good graphics and juice, kind of it the progression systems are interesting but not enouygh to carry the game and the boring in-run upgrades just falls flat, just play gyromancer
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →so bad my day is ultimately ruined
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →too many bugs that are very annoying. has potential
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →unique rune system and multiple mappings, great menu functionality design and a chill 20 min run to complete the level.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recent update causes frequent crashes, even after the update that supposedly fixed crashes. Anything you collect during (and after apparently) a run is gone when it crashes. very frustrating experience
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Better than most survivor-like games. Takes the genre further and adds some unique mechanics with the knot/weave system. 9/10 would recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Damn good bullet heaven
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Could use some guidance early on as they give ya pretty much none, bad brief non tutorial especially on the "Web Of Wyrd" the most important thing early game especially, needs another round of optimisation (with a game & art style like this) this particular critique is a Very Bad Look for the game, The games tough which is okay but its grindy without the feeling of much progress/rewards, whats the payoff? I've done just under an hour & 6 or so runs & beat the first enemy with a proper boss…
