Pros: + Fun + Addictive + Simple + Great controls (provided you play with a controller) + Achievements do not require grinding or restarting everything with a new difficulty Cons: - Painfully repetitive - A nightmare to play without a controller - No overall control on the grand strategy scheme - The strategy component in battles is more…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's like Mount & Blade: Warband on crack cocaine and it's wonderful.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun game :) Games like these shouldn't always be in 3D with HQ graphics Top work! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GJi9nlPJ64
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its been a while but what I remember is it wasn't very difficult and very repetitive. Was fun for the first 2 hours or so, the next 8 were a bit of a grind for all achievements. I wouldn't say its worth $5. Its good for a few hours of fun but not much else, certainly not replayable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice game, stable engine but on Linux be sure to put: -screen-fullscreen 0 on your launch parameters or u'll get a blank screen after the second time you run the game. It even runs at 120Hz ;) Got all the achievements in 8 hours. Wasn't able to try online multiplayer because of lack of players. It's inspired from Dinasty Warriors which itself is a very fun game. Be sure to take some breaks or it will harm your wrist :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The only 'co-op' in this game is on the single map, tower defense mode. Do not fall for their misleading advertising.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gets old very quickly, the game is repetitive and frustrating.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Follow my Steam Curator page for more reviews https://store.steampowered.com/curator/35705466 Price I paid: 2 Euro Very addicting 2D hack and slash game. After you take one region you'd really want to conquer the whole map. despite being a bit repetitive. Hyper Knights offers both combat and management/strategy gameplay but both lack depth. I wish it had gotten more attention when it released. It has taken a lot of inspiration from Mount&Blade but I wish the devs had spent more time working on…

This does not delve into any dlc or additional content (Only the base game). This review format is used so potential buyers can quickly understand whether or not they want to buy this game but it is always advised to watch some gameplay before purchasing. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game that I enjoyed on ubuntu linux 16.04 with radeon mesa drivers and a xbox-style controller. One technical issue is a controller disconnects and reconnects will cause a crash. So, the Casual tag is misleading, because there is a lot happening, with the constant micro-battles, over-map knight AI attack plans, skill upgrades, and managing the building structures. Most of the game is zoomed down into the local battles, where your avatar whips on the enemies, to turn the tides of the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game and a steal for the price tag! Quite a few ways to cut through/slash/bash/impale your enemies, quite a few ways to be turned into a red pool of flesh and broken bones as well! There are strategic layers to the game apart from the pure hack n slash/ beat them all feeling. You have to spend your XP and ressources right in order to expand and win back your kingdom. Just get it and you'll see ^^ PS: Keyboard and controller friendly, fully rebindable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple and enjoyable. Start off slow, gain gold and some troops, take over some settlements, continuously, build momentum, take over the continent. The graphics are simple, but the gameplay still shows the vision the developer had. At times quite hard or tedious, when you are fighting more than 4 enemy knights at the same time, but that mostly only happens towards the mid-late game. Would love to have some more probing AI tactics, where they do not only attack your front line. There are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun, for a very short while. Taking the first territory and recruiting your first knight are the only exciting moments in this game. After that it turns into repetitive hell. "Super Self" is the only combo that matters, which is actually just mindless button mashing. You could beat the game just by dispatching your knights to defend your lands - they are going to raid the neighbouring lands anyway and eventually conquer them; all the manual work you need to do is upgrading villages/castles…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hyper Knights is an absolute delight that feels like a one man army simulator! From the stunning, but basic, visuals to the engaging gameplay, this game has it all. The combat is fast-paced and satisfying, with a variety of unique abilities that keep battles exciting. I love how every knight has their own backstory, adding depth to the experience and making you really invested in the journey. The quests are well-crafted and often come with unexpected twists that keep you on your toes. Plus,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Achievements: No multiplayer or DLC related achievements. All the achievements are very reasonable and can be obtained in one playthrough. Be aware that I played with a controller. I don't think it would be advisable to play on a keyboard. What a delightful game this was! Hyper Knights is an incredibly addictive game reminiscent of Dynasty Warriors. Once I started playing, it was really hard to stop. There's a fun level up system, knights to recruit, and a whole map to conquer. It…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun, simple, addictive. But painfully repetitive and no overall control on the grand strategy scheme.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good time waster until the game decides to spawn thousands of enemy units in your territory, undoing everything you built. I literally counted 3600 units in groups of 150-300 led by roamers and 5 knights spawned in my base and laid siege to a third of my territories almost instantly (this is in addition to the ~5 knights with 50-70 units each that the enemy already had in the area). Max tier buildings with full garrisons had no chance. My standing army that defended my borders sufficiently…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's ok for what it is, worth the $2 I paid. It's a 2d isometric Mount and Blade dumbed down as far as you could go. The design problems are severe. You will get to max level about 20% through a playthrough. The skills say you can upgrade your troops but at max level they still lose in equal numbers to enemy mobs who don't have a commander. Playing with the actual combat system or using most of the active skills in untenable. You will only ever be spamming "super slash" which kills mobs, or…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's like dynasty warriors, but you're finally the controller of the army instead of just some random guy in a battlefield. It's a fun game with a cute and distinct art style. I love games like this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had a lot of fun with this game. Casual, simple, and engaging. I personally dig the graphic style and the almost dynasty warriors type game play. I did not expect to sink this much time into this. Handful of bugs here and again, but constant updates and patches and great dev support, at least in my experience. I would love to see this concept expanded to a larger scale (map, unit, structure, world map) and with a little more intricate leveling and managing systems. Great game. Recommend…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is actually quite a fun game, controls are strange at first when using keyboard, but once you get used to it it plays nice :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →bought for multiplayer current multiplayer mode was okay for a few minutes ill reinstall this if it gets multiplayer coop
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Purchase Date: 15th of February 2018 - 15/02/2018 Purchase Value: 2.79€ (Bundle of 2 Games worth 5.98€) PROS & CONS Review: PROS: + Fun. + Easy to learn. + Easy to 100% Steam achievements. CONS: - It lags in the end of big battles. Text Review: Hyper Knights is basically a very simple 2D Mount & Blade. It's addictively fun to play as it's easy to learn and simple to finish. The gameplay overall is smooth, although it starts to lag in the end of big battles, it's the only negative…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute tiny gem. Lot's of fun playing it, thou I was getting a bit tired with repetitiveness by the end. Still worth every penny if you like these kind of half a brain dead button mushers.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an unfeasibly dull game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Painfully repetitive and could not hold my interest. It looked like fun from what I saw on the store page, but it just wasn't for me. many people appear to have enjoyed it, so I won't go into whether you ought to buy it or not. With Steam's liberal return policy, there's really no excuse NOT to buy anything that looks interesting to you...which leads me to my experience with Hyper Knights: Saw it. Bought it. Did not enjoy it. Returned it. Got my money back. No harm, no foul.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Multiplayer is broken. Me and 3 others all tried hosting, all 4 of us would get the lobby up and then it would disconnect everyone one by one within a minute of being on the map. Refunded, since the only reason we were interested was for a multiplayer aspect.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun little game that I beat in a leisurely 9 hours. I was initially drawn to it due to the '2D Mount & Blade' comparisons; there are elements of M&B here, but it has nowhere near enough depth to make me keep coming back for more like I do with Warband (300 hours sunk there and it still captivates me). The controls were OK-ish on keyboard, a few annoying things there, being able to use mouse in menus etc would really enhance it for people like me who don't use controllers. Overall, a fun way…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hyper Knights is a short (beat game in 4 hours) game that is like a Mount and Blade-lite mixed with a button masher. Unlike in M&B, you are way stronger than any enemies when you start and you become more op from there. Some spells are useless as the super slash spell can kill over 100 enemies at once. Game is good for a casual play through once or twice. Have not played the multiplayer or the extra challenges, but plan to.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hyper Knights is a surprisingly fun, mindless button masher that is some kind of frankenstein stich up between games like Dynasty Warriors, Mount and Blade: Warband, Shadow of Mordor, and even One Finger Death Punch for good measure. It bases it's difficulty and power curve on an admittedly very shallow foundation of mashing the right buttons to kill and gaining experience to improve your character. The good thing though is that the price justifies the game experience you get. It's a shallow…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hyper Knights takes everything I love and puts it into one game. I love hows theres a bit of an strategy element with commanding knights and leading troops. Massive battles that can have over a thousand men fighting in one battle, this game reminds me of mount and blade a lot which is one of my favorite games. Combat does get a pretty repetitive with just smashing buttons and late game there isnt much you can really do with your gold, but never the less this is a must buy its very addictive and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great little Button masher....so glad i got it, its really cool and fun Pros -Chibi type characters -easy to play -large map -great mods -cool skills -level up system -great strategy involved -smart placement of Knights Cons -repetitive gameplay Can't think of other Cons, but yeah I definitely recommend this game. P.S. The people at endless loop studios, you guys/girls are such great devolopers. you always thank the players for the purchase of your games. just makes me happy to Studios like…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Reminds me of a very very very cheap version of Mound and blade. Gameplay is mostly bashing buttons to protect your troops. Gamepad recommended, but i played mostly on the keyboard at the begining, and it works fine too. You spend lots of time on the map sending your knights to fight left and right, and they get you some new land (or lose some). For the endgame, expect a bit of lag as battles grow from 20-40 units at the start to 200-1k units in the end. Quite fun, did 100% achievements in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →W game. Easy to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Picked it up on the Steam sale. It's a fun little game. I definitely got my money's worth. You are the leader of a kingdom. You control your knight and the troops that you pick up. Battles occur on a map and your leader can do special moves and buffs, direct the army to points on the map. The battling is interesting in that there are X/Y buttons over the enemies. To quickly kill, tap in the order of the buttons. Missing a button doesn't reset the combo, it just doesn't remove the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is very simple and very addicting, and yet the gameplay gets stale really fast.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nice game.Good campaing. DLCs are only challenges.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a blast! But multiplayer is only for the least interesting mode and gamepad setup is very limited, preventing us from playing the game with the gamepad alone (we are obligated to press F to initiate combos.) There could be a fix, but community activity is too low for us to get any answers.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game is fun put it is also very repetitiv get it on sale
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fun and addicting game. What a lot of people miss about this game is the fact that a lot of the mechanics where meant to be simple because they were mean to to be taught to people through the creators youtube channel. He made this game for people to enjoy but also for people to learn from. It is meant to also be a teaching tool.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is not terrible game but for my taste it feels too basic,it reminds me of something you could find for free on flash games websites 15 years ago. i have finished campaign in 3 hours. Second part of the game i played without actual need to lead my troops and just allowed AI to handle all the battles. I have not found any ability to upgrade units and building upgrade system is very limited. So if you go for strategy or upgrades you will be most likelly disapointed
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it crashes a lot for a finished game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nice game. Worth it's price. You don't really need a controler to play as there only are 5 different keys. 10 Easy hours of fun. Only con is the replayability. Game is pretty repetitive and while its very fun to crush hundreds of ennemies on the battlefield using mighty combos and Hyper Mode you won't spend tens of hours on the game after beating it once. Of course you can always run the campaign against the clock for hardcore gamers. Note : The multiplayer part is only on the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great little time killer !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I drank a bunch of coffee and then played this. Makes me feel like a ♥♥♥♥♥ up hummingbird of death, especially when I use Super Self. Larger battles can cause a lot of lag and start dropping frames, which makes the game a lot less fun. It's more demanding on your computer than you might think, given the way it looks. I managed to unlock all the abilities in about 4 hours. May have some limited replay value, especially with workshop support. A few tips: - Don't ignore Flurry. It's absurdly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Want something casual, fun, fast-paced and an overall bloodbath? this it's your game. Reminds me alot of Mount&Blade but in a 2d style. The combos are very well made and very satisfaying, reminds me of One FInger Death Punch. Overall, i think this it's my favorite game from Endless Loop Studios, so far! Really meets my tastes. I totally recomend it for anyone thinking about buying the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super addictive. Hard to stop playing once you get started. Very simple game play, but stays engaging. Good game for casual gamers
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just one more Outpost, just one more village, just one more castle, just one more territory. I started playing this game last night and have already pumped 9 hours into it. I haven't played something this addictive in a while. It's clear why it has so many positive reviews.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I LOVE THIS GAME SO I WILL BE MEAN TO IT AT TIMES!!!!! This game is my 5 fav game ever and I have played hundreds of game. But there are bugs in this game. So you can have huge battles that have over 1000 troops. And this is very fun but the enemies can get stuck in rocks and you have to use a attack that you need to use on the ones that are hitting you but you have to kill them for the base attack to end so that sucks. Something that really F*****G P***ED me off were hen in huge battles…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My Experience Hyper Knights is a button mashing hack and slash strategy game where you defeat rival knights and conquer the land region by region. It has a strategic layer like Mount & Blade, but the battles play out more like Dynasty Warriors. With the other reviews I had a solid idea of what I going into, and was expecting worse but thankfully it's not all that bad. I still have my issues with it though. I played with a controller, controls were okay but I found them a little odd in places…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had so much fun playing this game when I was younger!!! Unfortunately it's abandoned and the late game got really boring. I felt soo let down when I conquered the last castle and just nothing happened.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bit short if you play too aggressive, but a fun game nontheless. Better off playing slowly.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The games chill tbh, switch brain off kinda thing. The annoying parts is the camera going everywhere, it should just stay on your character or just move a little. other then that itsd cruisy
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hyper Knights is not a terrible game, but is is tedious beyond belief. After players have fully understood the ungainly controls, all that is left to challenge them is defending and attacking dozens of times, with no variation whatsoever, until they have entirely conquered the island. With the extent of this product's game progression being razor-thin and mind-numbing, there is no difference between a hamster in a running wheel and someone playing this video game for hours.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played maybe 10 minutes when some "combo" happens, dark overlay and 4 blue X's appear, and input becomes disabled. Gotcha capitalism with cheap shovelware perhaps.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Worst Keyboard control scheme in PC gaming history. it almost forces you to play with a controller which i refuse to. Please understand that i didn't spend $1800 on a gaming PC to play with a controller.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So much potential but this game is unplayable! I wasn't sure whether or not I would like this game, and found the controls to be a bit odd and uncomfortable until about half way through the game finding out it is made for game controllers, but I actually did until very late game... Overall, I found this to be a fun and engaging little game, slimmed down version of Mount and Blade, however the reason I would not recommend is that the lag in at late game battles is INSANE. The soliders run 10…
