60 of 70 · most liked firstUnfortunately this sequel is not great. you just click and everything is done for you. Very little actual building involved. No more nailing or screwing planks, no cutting boards, no laying mortar, etc. The gameplay is just really lacking. it is basically a point and click game. Maybe they can make the changes to bring it up to the standards of the first game but as of now i can't recommend the game in its current state.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game reeks of A.I. left and right, has no depth, no mechanics. It's like click and get done. I really don't wanna be rude to the devs but they have LOTS of work to do to make this look decent.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was given a review copy of this product and it was not disclosed that there is the usage of AI voices in the game. I do not condone nor will I ever endorse anything that uses AI and does not disclose it. Even if it WAS disclosed I would not have played it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know what to say about this game really. If you are looking for a predecessor for House Builder, this is not for you. But if you are looking for a meme version of it, this is for you. Sure I had fun, but it's just too goofy to be what I thought it was. The first game I really like, and this is NOT a sequel, and that is what I wanted so I can't recommend this. But again.. if you are looking for a meme version of it, this is for you.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →BAD Seriusly This is not House Builder 2 This is Automated House Builder 2 All things just hold button Better the House Builder First Game its better We doing all things manually like cutting planks taking sands, cutting boards REFUNDED
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR: House Builder 2 is overly simplified and lacks depth. The mechanics feel intentionally crippled, making the experience dull and uninspired. It’s a building game with nothing to build on. I had my hopes up for this game, but as soon as I started playing, I found out that it was too easy, practically intended for a child audience. The gameplay felt shallow and repetitive. There was no challenge, no sense of progression, and no incentive to keep going. It quickly became clear that the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No disrespect to the devs but this game is just bad, there is like 0 effort put into this game. Its not near close to even be worth like 5€. Do not waste your money, but you can see for yourself how bad the game is in the first minutes of playing. I think this whole game was created via AI
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →6/10 (There are bugs) – First mission: rebuild a fence. Easy. Second mission: build an entire house from scratch. Wait, what?! 😂 House Builder 2 teaches you fast—one plank, one panic attack at a time. It’s the ultimate crash course in construction and chaos! 🏡🔨😅 Follow my curator page for more fences fixed, houses raised, and sanity questioned! 🏗️✨🚚 https://store.steampowered.com/curator/42602807-Osiris-Reviews/
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →“House Builder 2: Craft Your Dream Home” looks great on paper. You buy materials, plan your builds, drive to sites, and create homes in a colorful, open world. Advanced building mechanics let you design precisely, and the world is visually appealing. But here’s the problem: the game is a technical mess. Constant FPS drops, stuttering, and lag make it almost unplayable. Tutorials are weak, objectives unclear, and progression feels frustrating. If you want a stable, enjoyable building…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this game for over three hours in which time it crashed alot, I wouldnt of minded but the last time it crashed I had lost all progress and items kept flying away and disappearing so I had to keep buying items again and again.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i thought after playing the first one this one would be better and grow from the first but its more like a game for a 5 year old. not fun at all
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A first look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tJDKnriFRE Well, euh... 12-ish minutes in and I sort of broke the game already. I'm so sorry! So, bug report has been filled in. But at least I'm having a lot of fun and laughs. I still really would like to request a reset the car button, cause... reasons...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →disappointing ! I prefer house builder 1 where you purchase everything/ materials without the need to go to the store and it has better graphics. the map is random and it has a lot of meanders and the only stable grounds are the bridges. AI is difficult to deal with ! materials aren't stable when you put them in your pickup. They always fall. building and fixing is below satisfying.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is not ready yet, even for early access. While advertised as "low-poly" it is simply just low quality. Low poly can be fine, charming even. This is just bad. The original took awhile to become playable too, so I'll check back next year and see if the game is done then. Will change my review to positive when that happens.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If this game was the first from the developer, than I might be able to forgive it, but the game is just not good.

unlabelledView post →I love the first House Builder game and had high hopes for the sequel but this is not worth it! The NPCs are constantly getting in the way when trying to transport supplies and they don't have the ability to register their surroundings. In the first job it's a simple fence replacement but the NPCs kept walking into my truck and screaming as if they were hit. It was funny the first few times but annoying as it continued. The dialog is all horribly AI generated speech, I would much rather have…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After a great House Builder "1", we receive this "game" with AI slop artwork, which feels like a hybrid of Postal and mobile knockoff of House Flipper created in three days on a game jam.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like this game because I felt like the first game gave you so much to do and the process of building required you to prepare materials before completing the build. This game severely simplifies the whole point of the game, the building, and doesn't evoke the same feeling of immersion. I understand wanting to try and take a different direction with the style, but I just feel like this game is a major step back from what made the first game so enjoyable for so many of us.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is fun in theory. I really enjoy building games and the overall premise is fun. The main issues I have are the driving. ability to load materials in your vehicle, and the map being horrible. The other vehicles in the game are super slow and constantly in the way. When you load materials into your vehicle the easily fall out without warning, It is frustrating then locating the materials that you have lost causing multiple trips to the very far warehouse. The map does not allow…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like this game because you play as a builder, the missions are awesome, the tools are cool, and there are fun collectibles to find. The vehicle you use is also really cool to drive.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →GLITCHED OUT, RESTARTED GAME AND HAD LOST ALL PROGRESS, ASKED FOR A REFUND
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of those games where the player character looks completely different than every other human, which is just kinda weird. People who walk into, or bump into the truck with a car, make all the items in your truck go flying in all sorts of directions, including in the ground. Also originally we had to accept jobs over the phone, and now you just get a new location immediately with no idea what the next job is. Basically it just seems super lazy and buggy. Building things is satisfying though,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →House Builder 2: Brick by Brick, Dream by Dream https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h49bFxeJ_xs House Builder 2 takes the satisfying formula of its predecessor and expands it into a livelier, more interactive sandbox. You’re not just hammering walls together — you’re gathering materials, transporting supplies, and managing every stage of construction yourself. It’s a mix of crafting, logistics, and creativity that makes every finished home feel earned. The low-poly visuals give the world a cozy,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really want to like this and hate giving a review with so little playtime but omg this is a buggy mess. Materials jump wherever when unpacking (I had some white slats go in the ocean near the end of the map), the english is just bad, almost hilariously bad like it's a poorly translated movie, the physics are ridiculous. People are floating everywhere and the building itself is really just like others have mentioned, click the blue ghost if it's in your inventory and watch the animation…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wish there was a neutral option but with how buggy the game is currently i can not recommend it, I have fallen through the floor multiple times, one time the map completely unloaded on me while i was driving, the unstuck button only effects you, not your car. I went into the game knowing what to expect due to the demo, but this is nothing like House builder 1, i loved that game even if i had to do one of the levels 3 times due to one of the parts falling through the floor, this just feels…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's really cozy and relaxing. I highly recommend to play this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Different from HB1 but still you can have much fun playing it. Simple and relaxing game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has a lot of issues, but those issues make this game fun. If you like goofy games, then I recommend it. Watch the gameplay if you are unsure: https://youtu.be/FSbqE_9-9vc
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun game to play. Looking foward to updates, since gameplay is glitchy and infuriating, but I recommend nonetheless.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic game ...please add xbox controller!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really liked the game. If you're looking for a calm game, this one will do the trick. It has a few minor bugs, but I'm sure they'll be fixed in the early access version. Note: If it has a multiplayer mode, this game will be very popular.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Jankily "build" houses to make money to jankily build more houses. The building mechanic of holding left mouse and running around watching a bunch of tools autonomously build things for you is oddly satisfying. The rest of the game is super janky and kind of a mess. It is fun to mess with everything but if you are trying to take building a house seriously, this isn't it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →needs a exit button but great game can't wait to stream it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i enjoy this game but its hard when you havent got the required controller to play with on this game. i would have liked to use any controller like my xbox controller what i have but i cant use it. i wish they would sort the controller situation out
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Afther playing this for some time, i have been thinking how i feel about this game, i know it's in Early access, and play the playtest earlyer, have also play the first house builder, and i enjoy the easy gameplay of the game, great enterteinment for just some relax playing, but i'm not sure that i like the graphic and how they make the people in the game, feel almost like cartoon figuers, but it's the easy gameplay i enjoy. The cons is that you just need to hold down the mouse button and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want a refound !
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have a lot of fun with the first House Builder, so when I saw that there was a sequel I was pretty excited however, I was let down almost immediately. I understand that bugs are normal and to be expected when you play an early access game but this was a lot, for some reason you can still hit/place when in a menu, the physics are somehow way worse than the first instalment, there's barely any gameplay it's all just holding left click and then booking it to the nearest store and don't forget…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I couldn't figure out what or who this game was for, its simplicity but tedium made me feel like it was both designed for a child, but the fact you do the same thing over and over made it feel boring, and the stack max that you can carry always being "Too much" Like buying 100 Limber, but you can only physically hold 99 so it won't let you pick it all up in one go. This game did not feel relaxing, it felt Tedious to just hold click on all the blueprint squares, i see what the first game was…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had a lot of fun with this game. However, I have vertigo and after about an hour of the really hyper sensitive mouse movement (even after turning it all the way down) I ended up getting motion sick and threw up. A warning should probably be added for others with the same problem. Or lower the sensitivity further. Game is really fun though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game, while listed as early access, has a laundry list of bugs that detract from what should be a relaxing, fun building game that does not promote itself as serious. The truck in the game has horrible physics that can lead to it being thrown in the air if you bump into it at the wrong angle or try and overload materials in the truck bed. The vehicle "unstuck" feature added will occasionally send the truck flying through the air and land in the same spot, usually upside down. The volume of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked the atmosphere of the game when I saw the screenshots, so I bought it. What can I say—I don't regret it at all! Maybe I'll buy House Builder 1 in the future, but for now, this will be my game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a bad game. 7/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very addictive!! the game is relaxing and fun, the open world adds a lot of freedom, I'm glad I can finally play the full version <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The graphics look great, and the building process feels very satisfying. It’s a perfect game for anyone who enjoys creativity and construction.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice and relaxing game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →House Builder 2 -Fun Fixer-Upper With A Few Loose Screws TLDR A Goofy, open-world spin on the series that's more handyman than builder. Fun in it's own right, but not what you'd expect if you loved the first game. I went into House Builder 2 knowing it wasn’t going to be like the first one, and that’s exactly how I managed to enjoy it. If you treat this as a completely different game rather than a sequel, there’s fun to be had. It’s cartoony, open-world, and full of memes. Think less…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So nice to see the first House Builder getting a new, better release!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just bought the game and played today... and wow, this is SO much better than the first game!! The graphics are a realy nice step up, everything looks great. It all just feels super intuitive and smooth to play. Its just a lot of fun. Huge improvement over HB1.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's just jank, but it's not even particularly good jank. The open world and driving elements with the haphazard cargo loading are so bad that what might be servicable as a simple construction game is just made frustrating
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →House Builder 2: Casual Construction takes the familiar appeal of simulation games and reshapes it into a relaxed, creative experience centered on the simple pleasure of building something from the ground up. Developed by FreeMind S.A. and published by FreeMind S.A. together with PlayWay S.A., the game abandons the pursuit of strict realism in favor of accessibility and freedom. Its colorful low-poly presentation immediately establishes a welcoming atmosphere, making it clear that this is less…
