60 of 129 · most liked firstI knew I shouldn't've, but gave this game the benefit of the doubt because Theme Hospital was one of my favourite games of all time and thought this could do alright. It's basically a mobile game adapted to PC - definitely not worth the $3, which sounds a bit harsh, but... there's just no gameplay. Sure, there's a tiny bit of management re: building rooms and elevating mood, but with all the clicking patients to make them happy, etc. it screams mobile. The music is repetitive, the levels are…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's difficult to give the game a thumbs up or down because it all depends upon what you are looking for in this sort of game I think. If I could give it a neutral rating, I would. But because I expect more out of my Steam games (than mere mobile ports and because seemingly, there is little to no developer attention given to this game any more, I have to give it a negative review). Don't let that dissuade from the game if you just want a quick little casual game to pass the time with however.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wish i could give this a great review, i liked the game, when it worked. But it crashes a lot, now i can't even load my current saved game without it crashing every single time. It reminds me so much of Theme Hospital, only not as feature rich and more simplified. I'm not even sure why a debug like window needs to be opened in the background while playing the game, the debug window when the game crashes doens't even really provide any relevant information to help diagnose the crash.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is not Theme Hospital - not even close. For a sim it is very fast and you never really feel close to your hospital. When it feels like you got it finally running, the mission ends and you start a new one - disappointing.... And each hospital is very small, the places to build rooms predefined, so you can never be creative - you just build each room once, like you should and the biggest impact one the game you have by research and training your team. Also the qualification of the staff when…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ESC is usually the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pause botton. why the ♥♥♥♥ does it end the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game/misson? I want my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ money back I can't tell you how many time I've exited out of the mission, having to start it all over again. Yeah It maybe dumb. but any game dev can tell you that you want to advoid ♥♥♥♥ like this most of all. This should not be a problem because any real teasting from gamers would point this out.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Watch my "First Play on Launch Day" Impressions Video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yewe4uooalc Reminds me a lot of "Theme Hospital", an older hospital management sim game developed by Bullfrog Productions, but this one sadly doesn't allow you to draw your walls youself. You simply start each level with empty square rooms all the same size already placed, and you choose what room goes into what empty room. This one also consists of much shorter "levels" that get progressively more…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I give this 2/5 stars. Reasons: Two stars for being a fun game, but the gameplay will only last about 4 hours if not less. You complete missions and can earn up to 3 stars on each. (Not very challenging at all). There isn't that many missions to do. I was hoping you'd be able to create your own hospital and see how long you can go with random challenges happening here and there (survivor mode if you would). There unfortunately isn't thus making this game dissapointing. Probably good for kids…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it s a nice game. I don't know why it has negative reviews. I don't get what people are expecting buying a game like this.. the game is excacly how it shows in the video. I worked good for me , no bugs, there is a harmony in general between game and music and sounds and everything. it has a nice sense of humor. and in general I enjoyed the time I played and I will play again :) only negative is that in window mode the zoom out I would like to be more because there is no enough space to watch…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I recommend this game only if you like a very simple timewaster that is somewhat amusing. Gets old real fast for me but it's the kind of game you can play when you feel like playing something without getting too involved in what you're doing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Would it not be easier to just get Theme Hospital on here so we can do away with this scandalously bad copy? It's like someone just took Theme Hospital, stripped away the music, comic announcements from reception, funny videos and amusing ailments and with what was left slapped together a crap-o-rama to stick on here. A terrible game - no flexibility to shape and design rooms, usually not enough rooms in the space they give you to do the level properly, absolutely clinically lacking in comedy…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Anybody looking for "Theme Hospital" by Bullfrog, this ain't it. Dont make the same mistake I did.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got this as i thought it would be like the game Theme Hospital where you get to build and manage your own hospital. This game has no free play option, instead it only gives you a series of levels to pass, you have to meet a mostly April 1st deadline - and thats it! You cant unlock and buy the majority of the items as you only get a very limited time frame for each level, so whats the point? Very disappointed. 2/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Apart from updated graphics, the game relies a lot on the benchmark set by Theme Hospital, but fails to impress. Pros: Better Graphics Cons: Less construction options Annoying popups every few seconds, which pause the game, if you don't finish an objective fast enough. problem is, this is mostly due to low money, and when you need to generate money you don't need a pausing popup every few seconds. No British receptionist Not as fun All in all, get Theme Hospital instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great time killer! Awesome simple game without problems or glitches and bugs ! Yes it's a bit blend and repetative but as u get further stuff speed up so much u can't even look at what's going on! Keep clicking and hoping u will end with 3 stars! Lovely game for lovely price !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Theme hospital is way much better than this IOS version!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It take real effort to make a worse version of Theme Hospital 10+yrs later but these nailed it. Not sure what res this is for but zero options for changing. If you liked Theme Hospital but thought it was far too difficult for you then maybe you'll like this otherwise stay far far away. I'd rather of lost the £1 in the street.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a badly-done clone of Theme Hospital. It is way less customisable, all missions have tight deadlines and there is not that much possibility for development. I liked the dynamic of training doctors, but not much else.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Theme Hospital this is not! Similar humor regarding conditions and treatments, but very limited options or freedom of choice. The goal is to achieve 3 gold stars for every level, each of which is beatable in just a few minutes. Once beaten, there is no replayability. Go into this game with an open mind. Don't expect Theme Hospital. Consider it a flash style game with simple objectives and gameplay. Get a couple of hours enjoyment, and try to pick it up in a sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think they should have put some more detail in this game. They should have done it more like Theme Hospital, in which you build your own rooms and put objects in it. There are a few minor bugs.. the most annoying one is that you can place an object right in front of a door and the patient would still come in. Having said this... the game is still fun to play and it does look ONLY A BIT like Theme Hospital so I would definitely recommend this game for those who like this kind of style.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There really needs to be a "Eh" or a "No Decision" instead of Yes or No for recommendation. If ever there was a flat middle of the road game, this is it. It's cheap to buy, and fans of Theme Hospital, like myself, might get a small amount of nostalgia. But, it's definately not on the same quality level as Theme Hospital. So far, all the missions are VERY short, you have no layout input, research system is very basic, training system is even more basic. Really the difficult part of the game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent 'Theme Hospital'-style game that looks like a casual time management game with few options at first but quickly becomes quite a challenging and very fun game. For this bargain price you must buy now!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought on sale for $2.99. Without the sale it is still like 5 bucks. The quality of the game, weighted by it's price, is 5 out of 5.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A pale imitation of a cult classic for mobile devices, Hospital Manager borrows the colourful isometric aesthetic from Theme Hospital and that's about it. There's no actual challenge, none of that Bullfrog-style humour, and barely any gameplay to speak of, which leaves the game feeling bland and empty. Buy Two Point Hospital on Steam or get Theme Hospital from GOG if you play on a potato. Don't waste your time with this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A patient who moonwalks and looks like MJ... best game evah! 1337/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome Game, Similar to Theme Hospital. LOVE IT!!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It appeared to be like a cool concept, but when I attempted to play it the game ran very buggy after downloading. Good thing I got it on sale! :P The bugginess was the mouse and game didn't like each other and it was a struggle to get through even the tutorial. :( Really wanted to like it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's serious issue with the arrow, my arrow keeps wandering around and I cannot click the buttons I want to click, I tried to swtich to the touch screen mode yet it didn't support, basically making this game impossible play.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's not like Theme Hosiptal. Save your money, it isn't even close.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →terrible, awfull and greedilly bad
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Worst game I've ever played basically a rip off theme hospital
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too much of a clicker, too little tycoon and thoughtful growth.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game on sale so I cant really complain. It kept me entertained for the two days that I played it. Its cute and not as difficult as some of the other time managemnt games that I've played in the past. Graphics are cute and it has a cute sense of humor. It is rather short, so paying 5$ for a day of entertainment is your call. As I said, I got it on sale :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very much the spiritual successor to the older "Theme Hospital" game from PlayStation. Hospital Manager is easy to get into as the first four missions are tutorial and explains all the basics you need to get going. It is a light bit of fun and some of the medical conditions are interesting. The first actual mission that you will get a 1-3 star rating out of is Mission 5 'Cursed Hospital'. All missions can be passed on first attempt if you are careful though you may not get a good star rating…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this in a bundle a while ago, and finally got around to installing it. It is an obvious mobile port, with pre-determined room layouts and cartoony drag-and-drop assets. Gameplay wise, I found many aspects challenging in a bad way. The pacing is too fast (both in terms of new patient arrivals and scenario length), the advisor pop-ups are too frequent, the initial staff stats are based entirely on luck, and a large majority of the décor, research, and room options are unnecessary traps…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just a really bad game, essentially. It doesn't make fun, it gets annoying really quickly and the bugs and glitches don't help it's case either. Can't recommend at all.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It looks like a great management game. But don't let the steam page fool you. This game is just a weird mobile port. You have to follow specific objectives. This is definitely not a sandbox game. You can't create your own hospital. Everything is too easy, no freedom. I didn't enjoy playing through this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/NgHo6Sy-PGU The abstracted medical management sim has a grim diagnosis. The limitations imposed by preventing players from constructing their own hospitals push this game to more a puzzle game than a sim.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mouse/cuser movement is too glitchy to be playable. Waste of money :(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Glitchy mouse pointer wouldn't allow me to play. Not worth it (even though it was only $3)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not like Theme Hospital, could be fun if it wasn't so linear and boring
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simulator/Tycoon on rails, this is similar to the Townopolis games in the sense that it's a puzzle simulator with pre-scripted locations to build. You have to decide what goes in which predesignated spot, but you can't create your own spots to build. I enjoyed all the levels and found them different enough to be interesting. I agree with another reviewer that the levels end too soon, right as your strategy starts working, but it's fun nonetheless.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a lot of others, I've been playing Theme Hospital a lot and I liked it. This game isn't even half the fun. There are some good elements in the game. F.e. it's a nice idea to be able to complete new (short) missions every time (but a missed opportunity that the game just ends after you've ended all missions). They aren't too hard to accomplish. There is a tiny bit of humor. You have a bit of freedom in choosing how to spend your money (allthough you'll find out it's mostly the same things…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Garbage. This is not Theme Hospital.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game makes you concentrate, it's fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to play this because it looked like old Playstation game I loved (Theme Hospital) and I can not say that I would be dissapointed. Game gave me hospital managment with some whacky diseases and treatments. Lots to do and plenty humour. There was not much to do with customisation as floor plans were ready and on each level you had to start from fresh again, so that was bit annoying. I would have liked to design own hospital and keep it but this was clearly game suited better for mobile…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If your game can't make it through a simple tutorial without crashing due to a null reference it probably shoulnd't be on sale.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A meh hospital management game. My main problem with it is just how limited it is in many aspects: expanding, upgrading, hiring,... There is better options out there to play.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Critical Error: Null Object Reference' It would be acceptable as cheap mobile game, exept it crashes to the desktop all the time. Only good thing is that other reviewers pointed out theme hospital and two point hospital and they look promising. As for this one: avoid.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is the blandest of blands. Good luck optimising anything in this. You have a limited amount of rooms you can build and per level you cannot expand your hospital. You HEAVILY rely on being able to upgrade your ONE diagnostics room, or any room for that manner, to be able to efficiently run this hospital. "Your patients are complaining there aren't enough restrooms." Cool. Can't build more and it's already max upgraded, what do you want me to do? Go to Two Point Hospital or Theme…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is not a theme hospital. Game has not a free building mode.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →THIS IS NOTHING LIKE THEME HOSPITAL. The point of this game is clicking not managment.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got it at 80% off. I paid too much. This is a crappy clicker game with IAP. Yawn.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →dont waste your time and money.... horrible game..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hospital Manager is a nice little game, but it has a few faults. There's no time set between really fast, fast and paused. I would have liked to see a slidy time control thingy. Also it feels a little hysterical with pop-up notifications every few seconds. Lastly, I felt it lacked any logical way of keeping the patients happy. I had to surround them with pretty things and vending machines, so much so that they could hardly move, and they were still unhappy, no matter how fast they were being…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awful, Just Awful... The game has no freeplay and just tells you to do EVERYTHING! You can make money by sitting on your ass and doing nothing! Very limited gamplay. Won't let you Have No Choices In game. I honestly can say this should just be on newgrounds, Or plain old, NOT EXIST... And once your done whatever you know what you get to do? Sit and watch them work... Thats literally the whole game...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bad mobile port
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fairly tedious management simulation with little in the way of depth. It's not awful, just very dull.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3.6*/10 – Good enough for a kid, maybe not for you I personally don’t love this game. It’s pretty brainless and easy to play and it doesn’t really provoke any kind of positive feelings or gratification. I got this game free so I can’t really complain; you should know what you are getting into just by watching the videos. I wouldn’t pay $6, because essentially this is just your run of the mill android app. Worth $1-2, if you have kids. Accidently Reviewed Was this review helpful or maybe…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Similar to Theme Hospital, but not as good. Good to play through once
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For being on this game surprisingly for 2 hrs and something minutes, it must let you know something. On the off chance that steam did not crash on me I most likely would at present be playing till I beat it. In the event that you like recreations like cafe dash this is one to attempt. I loved the reality it kept my brain making a go at observing everything about in the meantime viewing to acheive the objectives to next level. It is a test as you get furthur into it. I just can't move beyond the…
