positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A lot of people are calling this abandon-ware but are forgetting that the community has been ASKING for multiplayer for about 2 years now. On top of this the developer was designing multiplayer for the game when it was originally designed without said support. Calling it abandon-ware when the dev literally provided what the community wanted is absolutely mind boggling. The game is amazing, and there's more to come.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The dev is literally gone, promising to "return" multiple times, pushing out like 1 fix, and disappearing again into the endless void. Only buy if you plan to play it alone.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's honestly one of the better games i played, people calling it "abandonware" and whatever bs are tards. A one man dev game is hard to be made, and this guy obviously didn't abandon his game. Don't listen to the negative reviews, y'all. It's an honestly good game, and sale or no sale, it's a worth purchase.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to like this game but the controls and lack of explanation on its controls is a massive pain*. For an example, trying to fight an enemy that gets too close is awful. You can't really shoot the enemy as its in your torso, so you just die. Skill issue on my part but awful feeling when you can't pace backwards fast enough and shoot an enemy inside your torso. Trying to use a zipline, do you hold or press SPACE as you jump? Do you press SPACE on the cliff, before jumping? It Just led to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →if you are planning to buy this game for multiplayer, don't. It only has two maps for now, which are short and not entertaining at all.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- Sat down to check the game. - Expected to try a mission or two and to discard it. - Spent 3 hours solving puzzles, killing monsters and dying from falling down. - Had to force myself to stop. - I don't remember when was the last time i was so immersed in a game. - 10/10 would recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is very hidden. Some would say it is hidden deep. Three seconds into the game I was aggressively touched by a tentacle monster.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is kind of interesting but its so devoid of a good gameplay loop that i cannot recommend it. the controls are pretty janky and combat is tedious and annoying. 2/10 just play barotrauma
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION. known problem that stops game starting disappointed as was a fun game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is great when it works, sadly its ment to be single player, they added multiplayer but it crashes way to much for just standard gameplaying... This game came out in 2022 which sounds great until you want to play it with friends and cant see it sitting at its "$30 USD price tag" wait for a sale. or dont waste your time or money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is buggy ? Yes Win-able ? Yes how hard ? GTFO Bad Control ? one too many mis'input kill you . within tolerable range Amount of content ? not finish the game yet so I couldn't tell
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its good, but hoping they do a full campaign coop for the full release then it will be 100% worth it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, the game is fantastic mechanically. I love how indepth the level designs are as well as how it feels like a weird 2D mash up of CoD zombies and Fire Fight from halo. The multiplayer is riddled with bugs however, and the game does crash every once in a while. Despite this, given that its a single person project, I think its coming along very nicely. Once the kinks and bugs are worked out it'll be great much love <3<3<3

unlabelledView post →the mechanics are super cool and unique. In terms of being able to explore a spooky underground facility, operate sci fi machinery and explore other worldly caves, this is super super cool. I love games like this and want badly to support it. But some of the level design is really poorly done IMO. It can be downright frustrating later on in the game. I tolerated it for the cool bits, but at a certain point (mission 17 for me) I realized I was just trying to get through it for the sake of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Every multiplayer run is ended by bugs. One time, a player fell through the ground after jumping over a gap. Another time, a player spammed the door button and became invincible and invisible to the those. Another time, host went down ladder with grappling hook attached and player crashed. Falling through elevators. Multiplayer needs to be fixed. Include a suicide button for bugs and rejoining capability with more significant issues and crashing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is buggy. Get "Game execution fail detected" every time I try to start. Not even uninstalling will fix. Edit: I was able to fix by restarting computer, then manually deleting all of the games files, followed by reinstalling.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay, thank God it is finally over. I finally beat the "campaign". After slogging through it I'm absolutely not interested in playing through the other content (challenge modes etc.). It was very repetitive, same enemies over and over with slightly different terrain and objectives. Go through this tunnel, through this gate, kill the enemies to press a random power button to open a different objective through a different tunnel, over and over and over and over and over again, all the while…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent. I finished the game with only minor bugs. Gameplay is really awesome.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ages have pasted... wanted to try to game again since 2023... and this is what I get Critical Error! --------------------------- Hidden Deep --------------------------- Critical Error! negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty cool mix between a puzzler and an action game, all set in punishing platformer gameplay. I'd say it's somewhat similar to Noita in that regard, but not so much an open-ended (and obtuse) experience? More "Half-Life" than "Skyrim."
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is pretty tough, but the dry bases were the best parts of Barotrauma. 8 / 10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought to play coop but this mode currently has a lot of bugs and no depth. Since I bought the game it did not recieve any updates... Only buy on deep discount if you plan to play solo.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Forgotten early access slop , yeah no thanks
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An amazing game that combines both puzzling, platforming and shooting in one sweet package. The physics in the game is a real delight, everything feels like its got real weight to it and the devs managed to combine the physics and gameplay in a very interesting game. Honestly one of the better games I've played in a long time, well worth both your time and money. Hope the devs keep adding to this game and/or make some sort of sequel.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is WAYYYY too niche, its like barotrauma but caves and a whole lot harder. This game is pretty good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My two friends and I played for 40 minutes and encountered bugs that forced us to restart the level twice. Once, my friend got stuck on his grappling hook, and another time, I was teleported off the map while walking straight ahead. For this reason, I don’t recommend it in its current state. There might not be this many bugs in singleplayer, but since our goal is co-op, we're unfortunately refunding the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is overall excellent in concept and design. Obviously still working on the bugs and stuff but you can see and play the vision. I feel like the dev got sidetracked and sucked in to all the cries for multiplayer. But it's understandable as a solo dev to want to cater to the loudest. I just hope the main game production doesnt suffer for it. Really love the atmosphere
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it was so buggy I just wanted it to end. 4 years in and still early access no comprehensive story. just "grab this put it there, kill stuff along the way" type shi could've been good. unique gameplay but poorly made
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →give back my money!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really great game if you like what you can see in the presentation by the creator downs: - unfnished - controlles sometimes can be *head against the wall* ups: + def. worth the 7-8 € I paid for it 7-8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →janky and friendly fire is super obnoxious with the 2d element, basically limits one person only to handling hordes or else you'll nail your friend in the back
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The gameplay loop is explore, find, kill and repeat. I love killing flesh beings
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting gameplay with some very nice animations and a solid atmosphere. However, the game is quite hollow and the developer clearly has little interest in continuing it. I wanted to recommend it but I have seen that it's £20. Not worth the money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dropped this game long ago, came back to play while wondering why did I stopped playing just to remember why. piece of crap game with umplayable and uncomfortable clanky movements of character and mechanics, even a mere enemy can cost you up to 3 lives if they catch you mid animation at full health just because it takes ages to use or unuse the grappling hook, and that's when you're not stuck with it in some edge or a weird angle after trying to use it, some others you get bugs that ends up in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good game so far. bit clunky but its part of the charm. people are always claiming its abandoned and then an update comes out to shut them up, so ignore them, its a one-man operation so the breaks between updates are to be expected.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Thing + Carrion + Barotrauma = Hidden Deep A near perfect horror experience of the unknown & the costs it takes to survive in an environment man was never meant to go to... 9/10 -1 point for the occasional annoying deaths (often due to the physics system [which is a double edged sword] that setback progress
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I adore this companies other game, Barotrauma but this seems like a step backwards. You operate on a "crew lives" system so anytime you have a death whether its your fault, or the absolute hell that is this games climbing and rope mechanics, you are *just* that close to having to deal with all of it over again. Trying to place down a rope for the engineers as a scout is like trying to find out how far you are willing to go before you before blowing your brains out. Try to attach it to a rock…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good friend got me this randomly and it looked really good but didnt devote my time to it until recently on my journey of all my singleplayer/coop games. this really satisfies the tism! the mechanics are so satisfying and in depth! such a unique 2d game and the physics are amazing. The coop was good too and really takes 2 to get through.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an amazing game, very interesting campaign although it's a bit jumpy and random, the puzzles in this game are random pretty engaging. The multiplayer while still a bit spotty and needs work does give great fun when playing with friends.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →8 minutes in and the game freezes my character in place and crashes... yikes
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Trash puzzles/challenges, it is clear that the dev didn't test any of them
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is great if you like metroidvania type games. Its not a complete game but plenty levels and other game modes to play... Highly recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →overpriced, i hope this game will be deleted from the store
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →cool concept that is unfortunately very poorly executed, something that would have been a 10/10 flash game back in the day is not worth 25$ today :/

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hidden Deep is a pretty promising little gem. At its core, it’s a puzzle‑platformer, so if you’re into old‑school, slightly clunky PS1‑style platforming—and you like your games dark and full of Lovecraft‑meets‑Alien vibes—this one’s worth a look. I would describe it as a cross between Terraria and Barotrauma, though that’s not a perfect comparison since there’s no crafting or resource grinding beyond picking up weapons and tools. It’s more about exploring underground spaces, solving problems,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its cave exploration game. -Game is expensive for what it offers. So try before you buy! -Story is served in small portions in each level, everything holds together. -There are updates every now and then adding bits of content and fixing bugs. -Dev adds what small community of this game desires. Fun, engaging, not too hard.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hidden Deep is an underground ocean cave exploration game that looked interesting to me. I got it on sale, and I think that's the best way to get this game. Otherwise I don't think i'd really recommend it. would have to play more to get a better idea. Context: was playing on realistic mode so my 'review' may be skewered by the difficulty I chose to start with. Reached the 4th sector did not finish it yet. Pro: - The setting is the most interesting part of the game, Going into an underground…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →terrible clunky controls, weird logic at times on what constitutes fall damage, brain dead AI partners (will just stand and die to the smallest of enemies while armed), and ultimately bland environments that never seem to change. Per others, game has been abandoned, too. Too bad, had promise. Wouldnt even buy on sale (which I did)

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have a lot of conflicting feelings about this game. On One Hand the atmosphere created and the overall design of the game create a richly difficult and satisfyingly intense 2D survival horror shooter, with each step having to be fairly calculated and your time spent wisely. On The Other the lack of a gripping plot (that would be extremely easy to accomplish, considering the world that the Dev has created here) and slow development (as pointed out by many others) leaves you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For an Early Access game it was definately worth buying for 7,19€. I wouldnt recommend full price yet. The in Game tutorials arent in sync with the Levels yet. For example the swimming tutorial comes in the mission after you first need to dive through a tunnel. The story such as it needs an overhaul and more coherencey. The first couple Levels feel disconnected from each other and with barely an explanation of what is happening, who is who and where. If you dont mind these problems, the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you love these old school 2D platformers you won't go far wrong here. The physics are decent, shooting feels impactful and the various gadgets and vehicles are great. I felt the level aesthetic needed more variety, but that could easily come in the future. it's pretty much caves with a few military bunker elements mixed in. The sky's the limit with possibilities though. I think the controls could be greatly simplified, maybe meta gear style with selection wheels. Also, when playing on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was extremely hyped to play this game with a buddy, turns out you cant even play the full game single player. And on top of that the maps that are available for co op are pretty mid and give you 0 explanation on how to do anything And what the ♥♥♥♥ is the fall damage and grappling hook system Cannot recommend this game in the slightest unless you want a game you try to get int 10 times to realize the game really is just not good
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun game to play with friends especially physics and gun shot which are pretty realistic. I pretty enjoy this game. the only thing is just more regular updates and fixing bugs. Hope to see this game getting better and better.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just wish the tutorial, the place where you learn to play the game, didn't have lives. I bought a pc to play cool lil games like this and what not, but this just felt not beginner friendly in any sense. Every tap of the key I move to far fall off cliff, respawn in... a cave I haven't been in? Attacked by bug doing 1/4 my health die again. Back to the top where I was but now bugs are swarming so I die before I can react. Finally get used to controls after falling face first a couple times and…
