positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Survivor like pixel game within a dungeon. This game would probably be good 10 years ago, but in 2024, there are better games to play. Also, there are questionable design choices and this is the third game in the series. If you look at their first Heroes of Loot game from 2015, the enemies and game assets look similar and were reused. Summary/Complaints: - Gold/experience is time limited. If you don't pick it up by a certain time, it disappears on the level. - Should be an option to mute…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a cute concept, but it feels extremely simplistic to play. There is no attack button, but rather the game has you apply a weapon to one of 8 directions, and it'll automatically fire in that direction so long as enemies are in range. For the most part I've seen the vast majority of weapons fire off in a straight line and if theres any differences between the majority I've not noticed. Enemies spawn in and in the chaos of all of the projectiles, and loot that spawns when you kill them, you…

unlabelledView post →Very fun pixel graphics game, very fun orangepixel graphics game! See what I did there? Eyyyy! OMG I apologize :P Addictive! And if you're into the whole Vampire Survivors, Brotato thing, with its own twist, this will definitely scratch that itch. Works great on the Steamdeck!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really like the game so far, good for fast and action-packed runs. The only weird thing I see is having the exp bar in the left and the health in the middle. When running vertically it goes faster, don't know if that's a feature, but it makes the killing machine work faster XD.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First off, 21:9 Support Day one?!? Thank you! Already a positive review! I love how easy the game is to pick up and put down. I can already see myself playing this non-stop and having fun. The sound and music is great. I normally hate eating sounds but this wasn't too bad. I haven't run into any issues with the game yet so I would definitely recommend it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Reminds me of the old gauntlet game with the voice over. More or less why I bought it. It's interesting to have omnidirectional weapons instead of the typical bullet heaven/vampire survivor like up to 6. Also interesting to have weapons evolve each other instead of passives. Game isn't shy about dealing damage to you, but you have enough hp that it feels too cheap. Only gripe I have is that loot is on a timer and movement is slow as ♥♥♥♥. The only thing that improved movement speed takes up…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great little game with a fast pace and fun enemies. A tad difficult for me and my old brain - Coordinating hands and eyes are not always fast enough :-D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really digging the skill placement mechanic :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Other #indiegamedevelopers games are of course inspiration. Another indie game I’m enjoying right now is Heroes of Loot: Gauntlet of Power by Orangepixel. Great little game. store.steampowered.com/app/2374320/...
unlabelledView post →An enjoyable mix of Binding of Isaac + Vampire Survivors. Plays very good on the Steam Deck, uses almost no battery at all. I'm launching it for 10 minutes of fun, then an hour later i wonder where the time went.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boring and simple
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Chaotic at times, especially at later levels, but I wouldnt have it any other way. I enjoyed the weapon leveling system and ability to combine different types of weapons to make more powerful weapons. The rogue like aspect of things is done well. The gameplay has that let me just do one more hook. All of the release bugs I first encountered have been fixed and the added challenges are nice. I would recommend this game if you're a fan of vampire survivor or rogue likes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →From a couple of runs I've tried so far, it looks like a nice blend of Binding of Isaac and Vampire Survivors! The ability to choose which direction each new weapon is facing adds a little bit of tactical decisions. Bosses are a little bit easy, but this is compensated by the complete chaos when there are too much enemies on the screen :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very addictive game! Every run is so fun and intense. The Monk provides very useful upgrades after passing the side quests. Love the pixel art! Really nice sounds effects. I have been following this game since the Demo came out, and the final product it's just great! Nice job! Definitely worth the price. Can wait to unlock more secrets. UPDATE! I just finished the game after almost 6 hours of playing it. I had a lot of fun. Although i will say i was expecting a more remarkable and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is fun to play, there are updates from time to time. Wizard is my favorite. I can tell the janitor I mean developer did his best making the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After 7+ hrs I finally beat the game with the Valkyrie, as a whole I really enjoy this game & you can make some amazing builds, But my only complaint is you need to buff the archer big time. No matter how you build him, he is weak sauce compared to the other classes. Great freaking game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolute blast to play this and as you gain new abilities, it keeps the game fresh and exciting to play. The bosses are fun and bit over the top but that's fun to play and good thing in my opinion. I definitely recommend this. Still getting content updates, great game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little game. Could describe it as rogue lite dungeon crawler, with arena shooter mixed in. On top of that there's some arcade feel due the Gauntlet influences. Being able to mount different weapon to eight different directions is nice feature. You can sometimes find also extra features to the weapons like being able to grab loot or getting health on kills. There are also passive and active items, which do have some useful features. Not too difficult, so most people should be able to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a fun game and weapon placement slots make for some strategy opportunity on the fly. :) The mobs spawning on you while navigating while near death can be irritating. Looking forward to seeing what else I can find and explore! JOYOUS PIXEL SLAUGHTER in bite sized chunks of victorious debris fields! The loot and coins pickup sounds need some randomizations and lower pitches.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, normally I build up a little more playtime before I leave a review.. but since I love this series and want to help their launch, going to go ahead and post a review with about 6.5 hours in. I've been waiting for this one for a while. I was playing 'Heroes of Loot' clear back when their first one hit the mobile market, and have been playing on and off for quite some time. I got the original HOL, played the heck out of that one, bought HOL2 when it came out, played the heck out of it...…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Heroes of Loot: Gauntlet of Power is the third game in the Heroes of Loot series. It is a mix between a dungeon crawler and a survivor-like. The player needs to progress through the procedural generated dungeon floors with waves of enemies in the dungeon rooms, hazards, secret rooms, trading rooms, side quest rooms, and random bosses at the end of each floor. At the time of writing there are 4 playable characters, with 2 immediately available at the start and 2 that can be unlocked by finding…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I follow the dev on youtube and bought this simply to support him but I was pleasantly surprised with how good this game was. A great little arcade mix of vampire survivors and Isaac just like the dev describes. Worth the price given how many hours of entertainment I will get out of it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome hidden gem! It plays like if Vampire Survivors and Binding of Isaac had a child. Easy to pick-up and loose more time than you expected in it. 2h on the clock so far and only bought it 2h ago.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the most pick-up-and-play games from Orange Pixel and a joy to play over and over. Traversing the map and visiting the different places to buy and rearrange break up the action in a great way, too. Nothing bogs down, either, so getting into the flow is easy. I'll be going back to this often for a quick fix. (Just want to shout out a thanks for the macOS native version. I think many Indie devs miss out when they don't release there, even if the percentage is small for now. The bar has…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played all 3 Heroes of Loot Games. Gauntlet of Power is the best one in my opinion. It's very fun to play and extremely addicting. One of my favorite games so far this year. If you like pixel art and classic NES, Super NES style games definitely pick this up.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super fun and addictive, especially once you figure out how the weapon union system works.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loving how this has adaptive difficulty based on your level; you might have max power and at level 77, but bosses are sponges and swift to kill.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wonder around pixel art dungeon to find new weapons, monsters and power-ups. So in this variation of dungeon crawler/vampier saviours you get to choose one of four races to play. At first only 2 are available to pick from the elf and his arrows or the mage with his staff and ability to stop the emery for a short period of time. The other two characters became available as you collect the tokens in the game. Which so far I've yet to collect all the tokens to unlock either of them. So kill the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played this game for the first time last night and had a really good time. I like the idea of a dungeon crawler vampire survivor-like game. I think the game could use a little tuning. Some weapons seem really strong. But otherwise I had a great time, and I think it's worth the price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got old fast, all runs feel the same.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was waiting for it, love it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Been playing this since the first demo dropped. Love the game mechanics and art style, and the developer has put a lot of love and passion into it. Highly recommended if you enjoy dungeon crawling action roguelikes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What do you get when you combine the classic Heroes of Loot games with Vampire Survivors? You get the amazing Gauntlet of Power which is the latest in the Heroes of Loot series from orangepixel. If you're used to playing the older Heroes of Loot games, you'll be in for quite a shock as the game plays like both the older games with Vampire Survivors as you don't need to press any buttons to shoot and it goes automatically. Now you can focus on just dodging and getting loot. The game is a bit…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fun and interesting. I love the pixel art and the music. Every time I die and start again, the level changes and there is a different boss, so every run is different. The gauntlet mechanics are interesting and allow different strategies. Also, the different tools you can collect can really change the run. I haven't found any bugs for now and my runs have been smooth. I like to play with the xbox gamepad and I had a good experience. The controls are solid and enjoyable. Also, I like…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a challange,, i accept it. Totally in the loot loop world. This on is a gread succesor on the Heros collection. On PS4 controller: it plays like on cloud 7. .. PS: If you dont take the pill and revisite,, its gone. Desissions are key. I only have 2 thumbs, but does are up.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Have had a lot of fun playing this game so far. The pixel art is incredibly well created and the game feels smooth to play. Every run feels different and it's super enjoyable once you get the hang of it. If I had to scrape the barrel for some critique, it would be that the pills feel a bit harsh, 25g to get a HP down is rough but even if you get lucky, the bonus feels insignificant. It's still a really cool feature though and with a bit of tweaking could be fun. I just think the pill could be…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Easy to get into, addictive, and great for handheld machines or just needing to pass some time.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun game with good ideas!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple but fun gameplay loop. Could use some more content.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a cute game with a nice concept for weapon placement. It does get boring after awhile tho...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun "retro-style" dungeon crawler! Highly recommend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good fun game, looks like there's lots to explore. Very happy with it, cheers
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great time waster! The hitboxes could use some tightening up but so far I'm enjoying myself!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fast , fun and addictive. A great little game with a lot of weapons, power ups , items and rogue like randomization for a different challenge every game. It is an evolution of the heroes of loot series which is great by itself. another Orangepixel hit
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love action? Love pixel-art done right? Love more action? Then stick around because this one has it. Gauntlet of Power is a mix between Vampire Survivors and Binding of Isaac, or so I'm being told. Having never played either of those 2 I can't really tell but the mechanics are as follows: You are a fantasy figure with a specific class (from the get-go Elf and Mage are available, the warrior and amazon can be unlocked by playing) and you crawl through dungeons whilst wearing your gauntlet of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game is fun and many combos are available in game to make runs fun. current issues in game are some stuttering and the run counter says you lose even when you don't die in a run so needs some love still but cant wait to see more
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are familiar with the Heroes of Loot series, this new game is changing the usual gauntlet style pace to something more like vampire survivors in small room. It's sort of work OK for a while until you reach a level high enough with monsters rushing to you so fast that your autofire and upgrade can't take care of, and it's Game Over (I had the similar issues with Heroes of Loot 2). The game is OK with the pixel artwork particular to Orange Pixel. If you are looking for a vampire…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loving the pixel nostalgia mixed with the latest vampire survivors cravings! Great spin on the mechanics, awesome boss summon screens. Well worth a play!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super fun, frantic game that's easy to pick up and hard to put down. Took me a few goes to get the hang of how to position my weapons, and use the dash and bombs to get out of sticky spots – particularly against the bosses. Once you've loaded up all your slots, it's very satisfying to play as weapons take out enemies in every direction, while you dodge around obstacles, grabbing loot and powerups, desperately hoping for some food or a potion to replenish your dwindling health. I've only made…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, definitely will be playing it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unlike the previous 2 Heroes of Loot games, this one is a Vampire Survivors clone. I played 1 run on easy, beat the last guy, and then it just ends the run for you. There is some meta-progression but I don't care to grind through the game 100x trying to unlock stuff. There's nothing wrong with the game, it's just not my preference. I'd say it's maybe worth $10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →aside from the excellent pixel art this is worse than tiny rogues in every possible way. play that instead,
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/rFESyNcJxe0 Balance appears to be out of whack as bosses go down without any stress but upgrades feel completely anemic without much impact.
