I only did a handful of runs and I was already losing interest in continuing. The gameplay felt very repetitive and dull after the first 3 attempts. I couldn't help but compare it to other roguelites I've played and very much enjoyed. Games like Isaac and Gungeon, every playthrough almost immediately felt new and refreshing, however I could not say the same for this game. Every…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This looks like I game I would have really liked, but sadly, it is not. The concept is fundamentally flawed by which you have to dash into enemies to hurt them but enemies deal contact damage to you, but that contact damage is slightly delayed. When there are a ton of enemies on screen, you are never going to pass through them all and inevitably take a hit. There is an upgrade that you can get which pushes away enemies when you dash into them that it seems like something you should always…

As the player, you choose where to go, what upgrades to get, and what kind of attack you'd like to do. It gives the roguelike a refreshing take. The only thing that bothers me is the repetitive areas. So far I've only been in the first area, but somehow the enemies keep hitting me with my umbrella protecting me. So that's about the only thing I'd fix.

Why would you even offer 2560x1080? -Levels felt grindy, repeat the same thing. Scoot on enemies. After the fifth similar room with nothing changing, I was already bored. = Disappointed. I would not recommend the game for myself, so I won't do it to you either.

A very good start, but could be better and definitely needs a lot more substance to be truly worth a purchase. Could just be a skill issue, but the game could definitely use accessibility options, because currently anything other than the starting umbrella is just unplayable for me personally without being able to remap jump to W instead of space. The game reminds me a lot of Neon Abyss in aesthetics and gameplay, which is…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very fun arcade where you need to lock in sometimes. Five overall weapons you need to complete the runs with in order to acquire all achievements, a couple of upgrade paths you can go for to spice it up. Grinded for a couple of days, got a hang of it, completed it. Satisfied, though I would prefer if there was a different cutscene at the very end and a credits roll or a victory screen, and also the umbrellas you had completed a run with should get check marked or something to avoid…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If this game is like $1-3 on sale, sure maybe try it. It's OK, but far from perfect. The gameplay design feels kind of flawed. You attack enemies by dashing at them, shooting at them (with limited ammo that refills by killing enemies), or you can float down on an enemy while pointing your umbrella at them. The dash attack feels sloppy. It's super easy to dash at a enemies and get hurt at the end of the dash. Maybe you started too soon and didn't go all the way through them. Or as you flew…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've loved hellbrella it was a amazing game one thing is it needs more content I got all the umbrellas quite quickly
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Um jogo bom e satisfatório, não é um de se jogar mais de 10 horas, a não ser que no modo infinito, ou vá desbloquear tudo (que precisa matar o boss final com todas as armas).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →aMAZING game i love this SO MUCH although the gun umbrella could use a bit of a buff its a little underwhelming? havent tried the other umbrellas yet either ill update my review accordingly though

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hellbrella, developed by Icy Mountain Studios and published by GoGo Games Interactive, is a fast, chaotic roguelite that turns a deliberately absurd premise into a surprisingly refined action experience. Casting the player as a raincoat-wearing cat wielding an umbrella while diving through the depths of hell, the game immediately signals that it values style, momentum, and personality just as much as mechanical challenge. What initially appears whimsical quickly reveals itself to be a tightly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A unique roguelike based around umbrellas. I only got to the second umbrella and I just have to say that the first umbrella is leagues ahead of the second in every aspect. Zipping around through the levels with the first umbrella is extremely satisfying. The second is a gun that basically runs out of ammo constantly and then your just kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥. I would have liked the builds to get a bit more wacky and after nearly an hour I found myself just auto clicking through the upgrades as they…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got sponsored to play and promote but ended up getting a copy of the game for my husband and 5 other friends. its actually fun and i really want to see more games like this or even more game from the dev team. the boombrella is the best to use to get eyes to get upgrades and the bubblebrella is the best for the boss. the skins are nice and the music just hits right.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very creative and well-crafted game! The art is absolutely stunning, and it truly captures the essence of a real Roguelike. Definitely worth playing!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →VERY, VERY CHALLENGING. Not for the faint of heart or lacking in Determination. still fun tho.

There are 5 unique umbrellas with specific in-run upgrades. Each one requires unique gameplay, but I mostly played only the first one you need to unlock - gun umbrella. The second (bubbles) felt too slow and hard to master. The third one unlocked with my first successful run - and I don't feel any drive to continue playing. At least for…
