60 of 170 · most liked firstIt's kinda like Dominion, but a lot cuter and fun. Reminder that this is a deck-building card game, not a collectible card game. You don't have to buy packs, you already start with all the cards needed to play. You build your deck during the match. Gameplay: Everyone starts with the same 10 cards in their deck, a couple of useless maids and some land cards. Lands give you gold which's used to buy more land or other stuff that can also give you gold or have a nice effect to annoy other people.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's Dominion with the Etrian Odyssey artist drawing cute young maidens for it. Actually, not quite. It's a deck builder (If you are unfamiliar with the term, a card game with no collectible aspect. You all start with terrible decks and use the powers on your cards to buy more cards that get shuffled into your deck to give you more abilities.). Dominion is still the grandpappy but this isn't too bad, going a more Euro direction than Ascension, Puzzle Strike, or Star Realms, its competition on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun card game, but unfortunately I cannot recommend it at the moment. The game was designed for 720p resolution, playing on anything above and the game is just upscaled, resulting in blurry image quality. This is rather strange for a 23€ release (33€ with DLC included). Decent resolution art assets should be a must, especially for a card game. Reading blurry card texts is not a pleasant experience. Refunding for now, but keeping an eye on it, in case there's an update on it. Shame…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game itself is simple and fun, BUT, There's not much depth to the game at all. Although the card game was easy to figure out even without the messed up tutorials. All the campaign is a bunch of skits which you earn with support points. Even then, there is no game mode for campaign. It's only there to unlock skits. Sure the multiplayer is good but that's about it. Records are not recorded and no ecperience gained. Maybe if they polished the game up with a real campaign mode and added other…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am a backer of the Heart of Crown kickstarter, so I did get the digital version for free. That said, I think that this card game is one of the best deckbuilders currently on the market (Tyrants of the Underdark!). That being said, the digital translation of HoC is amazing. The gameplay is flawless and true to the card game, that I can tell so far. They ai is challenging, I have quickly learned the difference between playing against friends who are not familiar with the game vs playing an…

Overview Welcome to the world of Heart of Crown, an anime-styled multiplayer deck building card game. The Emperor has passed away unexpectedly, and now there are a total of 7 heirs that have the right to take the crown. Your job as the player is to select one of these princesses in any given match that you wish to back, and assist her in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Coming from someone that has never played a deck building card game and doesn't know what Dominion is, I've really enjoyed this card game. Reading the instructions before trying it was really intimidating but the in game tutorial is actually pretty good. At least enough to get your bearings so you can start learning strategies on your own. The vs CPU offers a decent challenge. And it's a godsend since you won't have much luck getting an online match. That said, I haven't gotten tired of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Having played Dominion and Tanto Cuore, I am absolutely excuberant in the final release of HOC! Many cards are familiar to the other games, so it was not hard to start. There are major differences that add much needed flavor and direction that the other games lack. These include limitless buying ability (I figured that out by accident!), the Coronation and Sudden Death, plus fantastic artwork (Tanto Cuore is pretty too, but is baseline hentai)! I simply love the theme of HOC. TC is more…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is for PVP only. The story mode is a joke. The tutorial is VERY missable (even if you start it, it hides from you!). You can't even start the Campaign Mode until you build up some kind of points (what other game DOES that??), which the game will not tell you how to acquire. The AI is brutally hard - I know how to play this game and strategize with it (fantastic game in person or PVP), but I can't eke out even one win against the AI. The developers really, REALLY need to take their…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game's good because the dude that did the art also draws naked child comics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Heart of Crown is a deck building card game with cute art, where the player will select a princess and make her succeeds to the throne. Can be played online or against CPU. Personally, i think will need a better setting (i cant set in fullscreen).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →100% Heart of Crown PC Review This game was a great game to play as a deck game when my wife got it in person, and it made me wounder if they had it on PC, which they did! The game was pretty fun, but it constantly has issues with playing online and isnt very stable either. All of my playtime I have working towards this 100% is playing vs the AI, grinding the points needed to draw the cards it wanted me to do to 100% this game. 2 of the achievement needed me to play with other players, which…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Avoid this game at all cost if you're planning to ever use multi-player mode. I bought this game for that sole purpose, and after 3 frustrating hours of perusing online posts and communicating with the developer to resolve whatever glitch that caused the game to not be playable in multi-player mode, the problem is still not resolved. This is not the first or only time this problem has occurred, according to multiple online posts of the same problem. Now steam refuses to refund the game because…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am an expert at this game, I have been playing the board game for a while now and very active on strategy forums. I love the board game but unfortunately, I cannot recommend the video game at this time. I have played well over twenty hours and I cannot recommend this game for new players until they fix the balancing of the game and provide an actual difference in AI diffuclty levels - normal is just as hard as expert. Also having no real story campaign to play through hurts the game a lot.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mhmm, this is one of the games, where I wish that there was a neutral rating available... Don't get me wrong, it's a fun little card game with cute art but theres definitely some room for improvement. First of all, I started the game in japanese and accidentally clicked away (what looked like) the tutorial. In-game I searched for a way to change the language just to find out, that I had to right-click the game in my steam library, go to "language" and select english. So far so good. The…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, have I played a lot of the game? No, but I've played enough, and realistically this game deserves a middle thumb, a solid "Meh" because it's not bad, but it's also not good. Buuuuut a negative review might catch the eye of somebody looking for an honest review more than a positive one might, and 20$ is 20$ for somebody considering buying this. Full Disclaimer: Have never played the card game, but I've played other card games released by the same company that ported them to the US. This is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice little game. It make not take your attention for long, but you won't regret spending time on it - cute and fun. Though I reccomens getting a few buddies for it: Competing with other players is MUCH more fun than with AI, whom you can easily beat.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a video game port of an actual board game. It's a deck building game with waifus that came from Japan. The actual game can be a little puzzling but it's pretty fun when you get the hang of it. If you like playing deck building games like Tanto Cuore or Dominion but you don't have any IRL friends that like to play with you, then this might be worth checking out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're wondering which Princess is best, look at who the CPU always chooses.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't even imagine the level of careless or neglectful or just completely apathetic a developer would have to be to not include an option to start a new game after playing a single player match against the computer without exiting out to the main menu. Honestly, I would love one of you guys to reply and tell me how that happened. Were you drunk and forgot? Was it a dare? To you just hate people who play your game offline and want them to suffer? Seems like a solid card game, but it's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay, the concept is interesting, the art cute, but the execution is awful. Unless you're a card game fanatic and are patient enough to wait on fixes for several glitches and rng issues I would recommend sinking your money in elsewhere.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of those game I'd like a "meh" option for. The cardgame as such seems quite well done for casual play and getting into strategy. However it is not for me as I don't have friends to play this with or am into ranked matches. The story has to be unlock with points you get from playing the cardgame, which I don't like. I'd rather have a campaign mode where the story is interwoven with the gameplay. So overall it is fine if you like the way the cardgame works and are into competative…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The gameplay is great but the multiplayer code is AWFUL. Cannot recommend this game in it's current state. Please hire a programmer with experience with multiplayer games! This game has a lot of potential.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →oh boi. Just kinda grabbed it for something unique to maybe play a little bit but now I'm addicted. Lots to learn tons of ways to play. I shiggy diggy. also they have a discord where you can nag the developers to fix/add things and talk strategy with others gives it a nice community feel.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really fun game to play with a unique twist on the usual deck builder. But when I tried to play with friends we couldn't get it to connect. Since that was why I wanted the game in the first place I can't recommend it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As mentioned in other reviews, it is true that the tutorial in this game is very lacking, but this game is not hard to learn at all. Just help yourself a little and look on youtube for a tutorial video. I promise that you will learn the basics in 10 minutes. As of the game itself, it is a deck building game. You gather resources (coins) and spend them to purchase extra cards from the market on the top of your starting deck. The variety of market decks is what makes the game fun and and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I see you have a nice card in your deck it would be a shame if someone... use scout and discard it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR: The game mechanics are well designed, but the cards are not. The game is a lot like Dominion, the fantastic OG deckbuilding game, but with cute anime style, some awesome different mechanics like princesses and holding cards, and a link system that is much more intuitive than keeping track of action points. They went out of their way to make the cards different from Dominion, which is classy, but the result is cards that are often overcomplicated and for the most part too weak to bother…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is too unbalanced and seems to be incomplete. I had a bunch of issues where a card wouldn't perform the text on it, mainly the cards that are supposed to remove cards from the opponent's area. Add on top of that, there are some times when the game will be physically unwinnable, because the CPU somehow manages to buy up every duke, while I'm struggling to afford cities, and then seems to draw 5 dukes in one hand, effectively winning the game, in that one turn. It's really sad because…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a confusing mess. I played the tutorial and only got the vaguest idea of what I was supposed to be doing. I played against the AI five different times and lost every single time even after looking up strategy guides. The UI is cluttered and difficult to read sometimes. Most of the time I think I'm actually doing well and then suddenly the AI grabs 18+ points in one turn and I'm left here trying to figure out what the hell happened. I can't play the campaign at all because it says…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great deck building game. Nicely balanced and fun to chill with friends. That is, until someone pick turn 3 Klam-Kangz and spiral into 3 Big City by turn 6, or draft 3 alchemists in a row then empty his deck in one turn, or pick Bergamotte and start pulling **** out of her ****, or pick Laolily and auto win by turn 16, or play Elven Sniper into Elven Sniper into Elven Sniper into Elven Sniper into Elven Sniper... or-god forbid- pick LAIN AND SHION HOLY SH*T WHAT WERE THEY THINKING…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game seemed like a really cool and fun game, so I bought it. I was sad when I saw there was no single player option at all for the one who only wants to play online every now and then. My biggest problem is that there is no way to easily learn the game because the in-game tutorial is not well made. If you go to the Discord server to ask for help there might be some nice guys that are willing to play with you to teach something. If not they link you to the board game manual and say that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Heart of Crown is a lot like other deckbuilding games, which is a really cool and somewhat new type of tabletop game, where you and several other players buy from a pool of cards to add to your deck, and eventually win enough points to score a victory. What sets Heart of Crown apart from the others, is just how buggy and terrible the game is, even compared to other terrible and buggy deckbuilding games that are already out there, like Ascension's PC port. Don't buy this game, but if it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is surprisinggly addicting. The physical version itself it very fun, but to finally be able to play this game whenever I want is a blessing. Gameplay: 8/10 The game is fairly simple, however, strategies do get more complex later on (just like a normal deck builder). Sound: 7/10 Music is okay. It's nothing to write home about, but I have no cmplaints. Graphics and UI: 8/10 Same artist that did Etrian Odyssey also does most of the art for this game. All the princesses are quite…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the card game that I won at PAX. This is great for when I can't find any one to play the physical game with. Art work is nice and the game is fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Heart of Crown is a really fun game, however the digital version is very barebones, its a lot of fun to play with friends or with strangers if you can get into the rare public game. Biggest issue for me is the multiplayer, port forwarding aside and how annoying that can be to host a game, and that it randomly stops working, not having a reconnect option is frustrating. Interface works fine enough, not a lot of polish though and the story mode is basically pointless. I would just about…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR : Buy it if you're a deck building fan such as Ascension, Star Realms, Cthulhu Realms. I am writing as someone who has spent hours in Ascension doing disgusting long e-peen stroking degenerate combos and felt good about it. This game is a labour of love from devs and I appreciate them for making an enjoyable software transition from the physical card game. Don't expect additional game modes though as this is a port of the card game through and through without any additional bells and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This does not have a single player mode as it falsely advertised, and since it refuses to connect to Steam servers, I requested a refund. Not to mention with default settings you can't even read the cards due to bad resolution quality. And what was that tutorial? Seems half baked to me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't buy this if you don't have a mouse. You have to *hold* right click to see what the cards do, and I can't do that with a trackpad. I looked it up and Shift+F10 seems to be an alternative, but doesn't seem to work either, and there doesn't seem to be any in-game way to remap controls. Never had this come up with a game before now, and didn't expect to have control issues with a dang card game. Guess I'm just out 17 bucks since I waited too long to try it and Steam won't refund me.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought because one of the artist is Himukai Yuji. Fun game to play with friends too. Too bad the physical version is not avaible on my country.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its a really fun card game~ my boyfriend bought it for me as a present and its getting pretty addictive~
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fun but I can't convince my friends to get it and play with me....
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Heart of Crown is probably most easily compared to Dominion, and you will grasp the basic concepts easily if you've played that beforehand. It is however not fair to say that it's just a copy, HoC does enough original stuff to stand on it's own two legs, and DBG's are a genre I would love to see more of on steam. The artwork is nice and bright, the music is serviceable and it's one of those "Gotta like the genre to like the game" type of things. The biggest surprise is that the AI actually…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you've played the likes of Dominion, Ascension or Star Realms you'll feel right at home with this game. If you've played/own Tanto Cuore, you'll be right at home with the mix of aesthetics and gameplay. If you aren't familiar with any of that... well good luck to you, the tutorial is pretty rubbish. However the game is pretty easy to pick up, just a little confusing to look at. 'Campaign' isn't any sort of gameplay, just a way to unlock cards. There's no story or development here, just a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game with a nice variety of card sets to play with make it a satisfying experience. Always nice to have an autoamted deck builder so you don't have to spend the time to set the game up manually. Easy to pick up and play, with a nice set of online features and a quasi-campaign mode.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved playing this with my ex. Loads of fun and getting the achievements is fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →HoC PC made learning the board game easy and fun. Now, if only they'd release a Fairy Garden expansion...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think it's a good game, but I just suck at it. If you are good at a deck building board game and have friends who are willing to play then go for it. Otherwise probably don't.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- Game does a piss-poor job of explaining the mechanics. - You can't play the campaign straight away and have to apparently earn coins or something buy battling other players first. - Tried the versus mode against the CPU and did not even know what was going on half the time. Overall, 2/10. Refunding.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game, its cute and addicting. My only bothers with this game are the LACK OF SINGLE PLAYER MODES (I bought it thinking it had some sort of story mode or actual campaign mode but the only single player feature is radomised cpu games.), The terrible feature where you have to RE-MAKE YOUR DECK EVERY TIME YOU WANT TO PLAY A GAME, and the fact that there is NO REAL TUTORIAL. When it first drops you into the game it can be extremely overwhelming and difficult to learn. I've been…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the worst interfaces I have ever seen. Want to change the volume? QUIT your game. Want to look up a rule? You can't, look elsewhere. Want to see what you opponents are doing? You can slow down how fast the AI moves, just QUIT the game make the change and start a new game. Of course, you could save the game first, but oh yeah, you can't save. There is a log, but its kind of lame to have to read it before each turn. Finally, there is no way undoing moves that have no effect. There a lot of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Deck Building with a twist. Like any other Deck building style games, it stays true with you gaining points to win the game. Sadly the Tutorial IS REALLY BAD!!!! Certain actions MUST be taken to progress through the action then you must push the "?" button to see if that triggered the script to tell you what you need to do for the next tutorial tip. Then push the arrows to read the text. once done you must attempt to do that action. once done push the "?" again and repeat until their is no more…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Farming simulation games are always more thrilling than wargames. This is a farming simulation game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved the game, deckbuilding and the theme however be advice the tech side of the game is not the best and text can be blurry when upscaled from the 720p art.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this on a whim because it looked interesting and didn't hoped much out of it. I don't buy games simply because it looked interesting but for some reasons, I bought this. The result? Worth the purchase! I'm playing this way more than I ever thought I would. The game is surprisingly fun despite its simplicity and some counter-intuitive UI and the lack of undo button. The campaign is fun and cute as well, a nice addition to the fun deck building game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really needs an undo option for things that don't affect the gamestate.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The UI is far from good enough. Please make the cards larger in the central panel. It's so hard to see them clear. And when action cards are played, make them pause for a sec! Currently the action cards other players play just dash in front of you and don't even stop for a half second. I couldn't find how to check kept cards of other players. The log thing is useless if you have to click on it to check. Make it text only but always show or give the option to do so.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The gameplay is ok, kinda of fast paced. I was expecting an actual story campaign but the "campaign" is just grinding pvp/vs ai to unlock short skits and new cards for aformentioned modes.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After playing this game for nearly 2 hours I can already say that I'm going to play it a lot more, the game is an excellent transition of traditional physical deck builders to a pc version. After losing a few rounds (and I skipped the tutorial....) I got the hang of it due to some help of the official rules posted in the forums. The core principle is to build your deck and to get your chosen soon to be queen on the throne. However it is not that simple, like all deck builders you'll need…
