Good start but after the "first level" you will soon realize that you understand nothing about the style of play and what exactly you have to do. Really too much meat on the fire, my rating 6/10 to be taken with a strong discount.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not exactly a standout FPS, but as a psychological thriller built around superb sound design, it works surprisingly well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played firstly in 2018 and then in Nov, 2022, gave up twice. I read GET EVEN has a very interesting story, mind blowing at the end. I am curious, but I don't want to drag myself into this game anymore. The worst part is the entire game lacks excitement, the more I play the less fun I have. Walking between memories and realities with more questions than answers are given, I don't understand what is going on even reading every piece of paper I collected. The creepy puppets are good, but the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dev1: What if we made a Inception(2010) a video game? Dev2: Alright, that's an interesting idea. Dev1: And have the protagonist be Jason Statham. Dev2: Nice, so it's going to be an action game. Dev1: No, we are going to give the player a very interesting gun but chastise him every time he uses it. Dev2: So... Stealth? Dev1: Yeah, but we are not going to flesh out any stealth mechanics, just bare bone stuff. Dev2: Wha... Why? Dev1: Because most of the game will be about investigating stuff in an…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a very unique game with incredible storytelling at its core. The narrative and characters are so strong that they often make up for the weaker aspects of gameplay. That said, it feels counterintuitive to design a shooter that penalizes the player for actually shooting. The level design, puzzles, and music are fantastic, all contributing to a deeply immersive atmosphere. The opening sequence, in particular, is one of the best I’ve ever experienced it immediately builds tension and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Resident Evil 7 + Quantum Break + Outlast = Get Even The game wasn't scary, but in some places I got the vibe of RE and Outlast, some of the designs reminded me of Quantum Break. The gameplay was unique and new to me. The graphics are still great.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →if you don't want me to kill people give me the resources to not kill people. i just finished two Dishonored games with non-lethal breakthroughs, its very rewarding. this game feels like you are being nagged for not doing exactly what the developer wants you to do as well not giving you any tools to accomplish the job in the way they want you to do it. i hope to finisher the game, its compelling, but the mission with eh two guys at he start by the van i cant get through without violence and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I do recommend this game, but with a caveat. Get Even is a movie-game, and the game part is bad. I really wanted to like it but that's an unavoidable fact. As for the "movie part," without getting into spoilers, the main story is one of corporate espionage/sabotage and kidnapping. Incidentally, it takes place in a condemned asylum inhabited by haunted manikins and homicidal patients. In the latter half, it becomes a family melodrama. It's an ambitious premise that can only be told through a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think this game is brilliant, but also kind of sucks to play. The story is very engaging and well-paced, investigating and finding clues is captivating, and the score and sound design are fantastic. One thing that really surprised me was how unnerving the game could be. The atmosphere of the asylum was terrifying. I was so gripped I basically beat the game in one setting. With all that said, the combat and stealth could not be more boring. Guns feel clunky to shoot, movement feels wonky,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An excellent story, with an absolutely stunning score, that's unfortunately marred by awkward controls and gameplay mechanics. I definitely think more people should give this game a try, though. This is one that will stick with me for a long time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Get Even is a psychological horror experience that strongly reminded me of the movie called Session 9, particularly in its unsettling atmosphere and slow burning sense of unease. Fans of psychological horror will likely find a lot to appreciate here, even if the game doesn’t fully land for everyone. The opening hours are especially strong, establishing a tense and immersive atmosphere while effectively blending psychological horror with subtle sci-fi elements. One of the game’s strengths is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was all set to give this game a thumbs down but in the end I think the story was just enough to give this a tentative thumbs up. When Bandai Namco was giving this game away I had a look at it and thought it looked interesting. So I signed up to their mailing list, sacrificed my first born or whatever it was you needed to do to get a free copy. When I actually got round to playing it I was initially not impressed. I really hate games that use an on screen mobile phone as UI. You end up…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good Science fiction with a little taste of action, BUT! mediocre game play, I'm sure with more resources devs would have achieve a better game play, Get Even is a story of regrets and plot twists no doubt only if the conclusion was at the right place, it's a shame to see a great story reaches to an irrelevant ending no matter of which ending you trigger, both will disappoint the player.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Story and environment are really good, gameplay kinda sucks though. Pick it up on sale if you're going to play it.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Welcome Mister Black !" Get Even is a psychological thriller with a memory plot. The story is intense from the start, we are quickly immersed in the action and the investigation. The actions as well as decisions taken influence the sequence of events as well as the relationship of the characters. The gameplay is supported by the options of a smartphone and we have access to a few weapons throughout the story. The difficulty is quite well adjusted and the voice acting is surprisingly good !…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ walking simulator with shooting mechanics (but the game doesn't want you to shoot anyone) and stealth mechanics (coupled with the worst stealth gamedesign decisions you can imagine), wrapped in overly convoluted, ridiculous story about virtual reality and fragmented memories that you're supposed to understand from dozens of notes. The characters are forgetable, the voice acting is mediocre at best. I can't find a single reason to waste time and money on this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good gameplay. Not hard puzzles, and very interesting story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My wife said if this review gets 50 likes and 5 awards, she will buy a case of beer, guys help me out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ok. So ,I'm giving a positive review. I only have 3 hours logged, and here is why. It's a beautiful game with a cool gun, but when you use the cool gun, you get yelled at. Why give me a cool gun or a gun at all if every time I pull the trigger, you yell at me? So here is what I'm going to do. I'm reinstalling the game right now, and I am going to shoot every bastard that gets in my way. If I get a bad ending, so be it. I'm going on a killing spree.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a long and boring walking simulator disquised as a horror puzzle game. You mostly just walk in dark places and look at newspaper pieces. The story is not good enough to keep the walking and collecting interesting.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →surprisingly good story line. only 3 hours into it, but have enjoyed the unraveling mystery and suspense along the way.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is definitely a game to remember, Was an experience. I loved the story and all the twists it had, My favorite thing about this game though, Would be the OST.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →look i got this game and just cant be bothered to finish. my main gripe is the ending should have hinged more on evidence getting rather than killing. [cuz getting more stuff means getting more weapons. so the game teases you with prizes to get the bad ending with.] i mean no sleep dart option....seriously?! game gives us a super cool corner gun..."ohh but dont you use it."
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved it, but it's hard to explain why without huge spoilers. The story is masterfully told and executed. The game mechanics stumble a bit. I think the problem with this game is that the less you know, the more effective the story. Which is a hard sell for a lower budget title. It's very much a game for people who play games for the story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crashes frequently. Gave it a second chance but did it again, not gonna try once more. I was basically forcing myself to finish it anyways because despite the story seemingly going to some intersting places at times, the way it is being drip fed made me more irritated and confused rather than getting me intriguied. Also remember initially hearing about this a while before it came out and how it was one of the earlier games to use EU4 to its full potential, looking impressively photorealistic…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Promising start but tedious continuation. Rural shi_tter shooting. Cliché nuthouse, you with a torch and camera. Also, a bunch of screamers that supposed to be scary... Value your time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I ended up buying this on sale because I had read online that this is the closest thing you would get to a proper Condemned 3. I however ended up returning this as it was not at all what I expected. Get Even is an interesting cover based shooter in which you play a contract killer reliving his memories through an advanced form of therapy for their memory loss. I ended up only playing an hour before refunding it, as this was not what I was looking for. If you like cover based shooters with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't think I'll continue the game and finish it. The main idea is actually cool but in a poor attempt to appear cryptic, progressing is more frustrating than fun. There are so many unimportant details in the story that seem important, probably to make the story mysterious so that the plot twists hit you hard later I guess, but they just made me so confused that I lost my interest in following the main story. There are so many side characters and side stories and even though they get…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Poorly designed cover shooter dressed up as horror. Stealth is poor, and since the player isn't given a slightest of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue what to do, shooting all enemies is the single possible way of going forward for anyone during their first playthroughs. I was intrigued for the first 15 minutes, then so much annoyed throughout the next 90 that I decided just to drop the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a very average game. The gameplay loop is mildly fun and I liked the investigative aspect. The way you piece together the story is actually pretty well done. The soundtrack and atmosphere is good as well. The gun combat is atrocious though. And the bugs make me not recommend this game. You'll get stuck in the wall, some objects that should be there are not and it's pretty frustrating having to reload from a checkpoint everytime that happens. 4/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not A Bad Mystery-Thriller Game. If U R Looking For A Stealth Detective Game With A Heavy Story, Then It's A Good Choice. Game Has A Basic Shooting System & Decent Visuals, But It's Ok For This Type Of Game. POV 7.5/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, this left me kind of speechless... Without spoiling it for others lets just say this is one twisted game!!! And I almost would like to use the headset provided to crawl around the people minds that wrote it, but I'm afraid I might get lost forever... It's definitely a masterpiece!!! I've seen things similar to this in real life and a lot of people probably wouldn't completely understand. Intel and DARPA did something similar to this in 1998, only they wireless hacked the human brains…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →GET EVEN, a mystery shooter that works best when you stop playing it like a shooter I came into Get Even expecting a straightforward FPS with a gimmick gun. What I got instead was a slow, uneasy memory dive that feels more like interactive paranoia than power fantasy. You wake up as Cole Black in a decaying asylum, pushed forward by a voice called “Red”, and the whole thing is framed like a treatment using a memory replay headset. It’s immediately unsettling, and it stays that way. …
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let's get one thing straight right off the bat; this is an unimpressed recommendation. For the first hour and a half, I was hooked, despite the nausea I get in first-person games, and the head-spinning mechanic of the corner gun. I wanted to get into the story and explore around. And then I hit the stealth part. Up until I got a dozen security guards sicced on me, I was doing alright. I was fine with the usual waiting-game that stealth games invest so heavily in. But when I can't control when…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great mix of layers of fear with a deep story. Kept me guessing until the very end. Absolute top notch Voice acting, you can really hear the emotions of the characters, and good replay value to collect all the memories or decide on the gameplay style. The soundtrack changes depending on what is happening in-game which pulls you in even more. Only downside is that being stealthy is absolutely impossible in-game since enemies see you through bushes and walls, which then influenced the ending.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →GET EVEN is an interesting story Rich horror game, but now let's talk about the story. Cole Black an ex-military man is caught in an explosion trying to save a girl only to wake up in a strange semi abandoned Asylum after it. But how did he get here, what happened to the girl and what is this strange device on his head? Soon mr. black is on a strange adventure exploring both be asylum and his memories leading up to the explosion, but like with memories everything is not what it seems. Alrighty…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mess- A boring, clunky, incomprehensible mess of a game. It doesn't know what it wants to be, every single element pulling in a different direction, all of them subpar by themselves and made worse when put together. Gameplay So it's a shooter, right? And the game keeps rewarding you with new guns, it's the only kind of progress there is. Except then the game doesn't want you using the guns, and will actively chastise and berate you and lock you out of the good ending, for no good reason if…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The plot of the game is interesting moresover later on as the protagonist uncovers the clues. However the pacing is bad and the game drags on at the beginning unecessarily. I am not surprised ppl give up or don't finish it. The whole mind memory concept where you start in somekind of tech prison and the warden telling you mr. Black do this mr. Black do that is unappealing. Especially the environment in those tagged corridor of an old abandonned building makes the game unappealing could have…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is part walking simulator, part not-so-great shooter. What the game excels at is its story that's some crazy, sometimes convoluted dive through memories that's basically if Shakespeare wrote Inception, searching for answers so folks can "get even." The gameplay isn't all that great, but I was always looking forward to finding out what happens next, and the music is great at building up the atmosphere and tone of each scene. Voice acting is wonderful as well. And you just might be…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the twists and turns of the storyline. Worth it to get the end and the reveal.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To be completely honest I went into this game blind, not knowing what to expect and I would never guess it would be so much fun. The Game not only have good horror aspects, good jump scares and new (to me) mechanics of using guns. The story is rich. VERY RICH! Not only investigate part but also this feeling that i was brought into 'Inception' level story that was build and structure better then any of da Vinci masterpieces, I do not wish to spoiler anything just wish you all experience this…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Expected more - story was eh, gameplay mediocre, thriller/horror theme fell short, and it just felt like it was dragging
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →GET EVAN = Cogito ergo sum
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Get Even is a rather ambitious combination of interactive storytelling, adventure, stealth and FPS. Truth be told, it handles the first genre brilliantly, it does relatively well in the second (I would have liked more use of some of the tablet's tools like the heat detector and UV light), while in the rest it performs just adequately. It had a good psychological thriller vibe - in places it reminded me of the gem Condemned Criminal Origins - and the concept lends itself to some offbeat set…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is a unique game, that is, the charecters are great! like it so far. definetly fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Incredibly underrated psychological thriller with surrealistic horror elements. Strong recommendation for any fan of the genre. Don't treat it like an FPS, the game is more of a walking-simulator with puzzles and stealth, guns are last resort.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Two very important questions. Is it worth 5$? Of course it is, if your a collector etc. Is it worth your time, as a busy working person? No. I love this genera, and there was just not enough going on to capture my interest, and Im easily entertained. Verdict: It's to dang boring, to be worth your time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Get Even story is so good I love how they made it make you feel like you're actually going crazy with the main character but that's about the only good thing about this game I cannot give this game a positive review! The performance of this game is trash non-stop stuttering throughout the whole entire game and there's not a single fix to fix this problem! There's also a extremely annoying bug that never got fixed where you consistently get stuck on objects all throughout the game and the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An unforgettable story filled with mystery and intrigue. Not the best combat or shooting but cool camera gun and phone to track enemies/objectives and keep things interesting. Natural ambience with the clock speeding up is brilliantly done and I am at the point where I'm going back for the forth time to try and go for all evidence and all achievements. This game moved me and the ending caught me off guard in the best of ways. THE PARTY/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Door opening simulator. Unfortunately the main character has no knees and his feet were replaced with wheels and his hips were replaced with hinges because you cannot jump and you have hip-sway instead of headbob which you cannot turn off. I played this 10 minutes and I am pretty sure I opened 20 doors in that time. Also, interact and pick up are two different keys which is unforgivable.
