negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dear Ubisoft, I can tolerate a number of issues in your games like character clipping through walls, poor performance or low frame rates, bugs or crashes, incorrect game content… but this game is absolutely horrendous. I deeply regret purchasing and playing it. Let me begin with the only redeeming quality of this game: the cutscene art. The slides with flower patterns are a highlight and the only reason I endure this appalling game. Now onto the unbearable gameplay. I’m not being harsh on a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love Assassin's Creed and to not talk about the "Assassin's Creed Chronicles" trilogy of games would be a shame. Second in the Chronicles is Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India. Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India isn't as great as Assassin's Creed Chronicles:China but the story and the main character makes for a great addition to the Assassin's Creed franchise. It also capitalise's on: 2.5D environments that are inspired from brush paintings (same as the first in the trilogy) and it improves…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India is a frustrating, occasionally broken game that somehow manages to be even worse than its spin-off predecessor When I [url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/dreamylotus/recommended/354380/]reviewed Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China, the predecessor to Chronicles: India, I called it “aggressively mediocre”, full of “missed opportunities” and offering “way too limited options in order to feel actually rewarding”. My conclusion was that there’s “unfortunately not…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the 2nd game in the Assassin's Creed Chronicles series, a side-scrolling platformer. Compared to its predecessor, this game features a wider variety of skills, diverse enemies, traps, stealth elements, and time attack mechanics, making it even more challenging. The Indian setting captivates with its unique patterns and beautiful colors, which are particularly striking in the game's visuals.

I don't need to know that and it is completely irrelevant and pointless information and I don't need to see it every single time the game is opened. This is the virtue signaling way of saying "This game was made by a group of human beings". Yeah, no sh!t.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got the Assassin's Creed Chronicles games with the whole Assassin's Creed games bundle. Don't know what i was expecting from these games. Maybe a good and fun side scrolling game? This ain't it chief. The controls are so awful and slugish i just had to stop. It's kinda sad since i started playing all the Assassin's Creed games in order of release date. Guess i'm not going to count these as actual games and just think of them as mobile games ported to pc, because that's what they feel like and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First playthrough review time. Assassin's Creed Chronicles India is the second game in the trilogy and continues the 2.5D stealth action style from the first title. The levels are short and linear, but they require thinking about movement and timing to progress. Compared to the main Assassin's Creed games, the experience is more focused and structured. The game encourages different approaches to each level. Players earn points and upgrades as they play, and revisiting previous levels on…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Warning. This game basically requires you to have played assassin's creed chronicles: China to know what the heck is going on with the mechanics. So if you are interested in this game, play that one first for sure. I would have been so lost if not for that. I had fun with the first 2 sequences of this one. I thought ACC: China was just barely above a 'mid' experience, so i figured i might enjoy this one enough too since i got a bundle for so cheap. Then there is the part of sequence 3 that i…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India takes the central ideas of assassination, infiltration, and historical intrigue and reshapes them into a tightly structured 2.5D stealth-platforming adventure. Developed by Climax Studios and published by Ubisoft Entertainment, the game follows Arbaaz Mir through 19th-century India during a period of political tension and conflict. Instead of presenting the enormous open environments normally associated with Assassin’s Creed, the game focuses on carefully…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India Okay, I must say... I really liked AC Chronicles: China, but India left me with mixed feelings. India and atmosphere The Indian setting is really interesting and definitely gives the game its own identity. It feels different enough from China, and I liked the focus on ancient artifacts and the mystery surrounding them. We actually get new ancient artifact than the Brotherhood itself, which is a cool change. It is something different from China, even if I…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, there's not a big difference between ACC China and ACC India. The gameplay is same and the only difference is story. Though I personally liked ACC China more, but this game is not bad at all. If you liked ACC China, you'll enjoy this aswell. If you are an Assassins Creed Fan, there's no reason why you should not have a blast playing all the AC Chronicles games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've now beaten the Chronicles Trilogy, and I did not like this one, not only does the story can be completely skipped, it doesn't even make sense for an assassin, it also felt like nothing happened, absolutely nothing changed from the beginning to the end, it feels rushed and without substance. They experimented with new mechanics to keep the trilogy fresh I guess, but it just makes the game frustrating, especially the achievements, there is a lot of farming, which sometimes doesn't even work.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you’ve played the China installment, you know exactly what to expect here. In many ways, it is more of the same, but it arrives with a breathtaking new coat of paint. While the previous game used muted ink and brushstrokes, India explodes off the screen. The art style shifts to a bright, vibrant palette inspired by 19th-century lithographs and henna patterns. It stands out immediately. The saturated colors and intricate geometric patterns make it perhaps the most visually striking of the…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →📅 Date Completed: May 18, 2023 🏆 C-Tier Game TL;DR: A slight improvement over ACC China with better mission variety and a more refined experience. Stealth remains the core gameplay focus, and it introduces new mechanics that add some extra depth. My review of this is nearly identical to ACC China, because it is nearly an identical game. 🎮 Gameplay & Mechanics Very similar to ACC China but with a few more tools and mechanics that make it slightly more fun. The focus is still entirely on…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →as an assassin's creed fan, i really enjoyed the chronicles series. it's a perfect translation into 2.5d side scrolling while keeping the assassin's creed flair. this honestly feels like a short prince of persia title. of the chronicles series, india is my favorite. if you want to play for the story, play them in order (china to india then russia). however, if you want a feel for these games, this has the best balance and best levels in the series. highly recommend checking all 3 titles,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Keep in mind this is a spin-off and not a mainline game, so the gameplay is very different and the game is much shorter than other AC games. I really enjoyed my time with it though. I loved the art style and the gameplay. The story is and music is good as well. It is quite challenging to finish 100% which I enjoyed. 8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is wrongly Titled. Prince of Persia Chronicles of India.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This short and bitter-sweet negative review is not aimed at protag or story! Both are good in their own right. 100% of the reason why I give this game a thumbs down is because it is 2.5-D. Yeah, as crazy as it may sound after 26 hours of gameplay locked in, it took replaying the normal AC games to make me realize just how much 2.5-D is a HUGE turnoff! I'll be generous and give this game a 3.5 of 5 stars. If the game WAS developed in the same design vein as the other AC games, I would have…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India offers a unique 2.5D take on the Assassin’s Creed formula, set in a visually striking version of colonial India. The art style stands out with vibrant colors and detailed backdrops inspired by Indian culture and architecture. Gameplay leans heavily on stealth and timing, though combat and movement can feel a bit restrictive at times. Revisiting previous levels on harder settings lets them improve their score and abilities. This adds some replay value and…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In contrast to the franchise's customary open-world 3D gameplay, this game offers a 2.5D side-scroll stealth platformer genre. It is set in 1841 in Colonial India, during the battle between the East India Company and the Sikh Empire. It has evocative level designs and richly colored backgrounds. The game offers a gratifying mix of engagement and stealth by emphasizing parkour mechanics and exact timing. Chakrams and smoke bombs are examples of tools that improve gameplay, and the scoring system…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played this before on the Xbox One and I like the 2.5D side scroller. Its a cool neat AC game. I like the colors and the art the best in this one compared to the other 2 of the 3 2.5D AC games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great 2D addition to the Assassin's Creed series. It reminds me of the older Prince of Persia games. I would recommend this game. At the very least, try it out when it goes on sale next time.

unlabelledView post →I just purchased this game about a week ago, today was the first time I got to play. After playing most of the other Assassin's Creed games, I am greatly disappointed in this version. It seems like they want to go back to the 90's in the graphics of this game. Extremely poor and greatly disappointing. I do not recommend purchasing this game even if it is on sale for as low as $2.00. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN UBISOFT!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →definitely the best of the Chronicles trilogy, in terms of both form and function. The gorgeous, vibrant visual style really captures the essence of the region it's portraying.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is like assassins creed china except they just upped the quality, maybe Ubisoft should just stick to 2-D games. This is some quality game, just 15 hours of QUALITY. Better than AC liberation, don`t ever play that. Oh yeah its Indian which is cool because ig i learnt a thing or two. I give this a 8.8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hopefully the team that made these games are no longer working in the industry. Some of the worst gameplay and level designs I've ever seen.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After finishing all three Chronicles games on Steam I can say Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India is probably the worst out of all of them. I unfortunately gave negative reviews to the two other games and that doesn't change here. Similar to all the other games, the level backgrounds and getaway/escape missions are where this game really shines but we were once again hit with a bland story, boring characters, and India (for some reason) added so many insta-kill/finish parts to the game. Whether…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's ass but it's short. Therefore, it's inoffensive ass.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game although its very different to other ac games. I love how they expanded on every mechanic from China and even added more, they also refined some of the janks in the gameplay of China. I also love the art style and the game really had an Indian feel to it. Overall I rate this game 7/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Maybe it's my PC, IDK, but the gamepad controls seem so sluggish. Lots of deaths and retrys due to inaccurate context inputs, plus no options to adjust sensitivity. Still decent once you get use to it, and the art looks amazing, just wish it was a better PC port with more options. Grab it on sale. DEEP discount only.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →“Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India” continues the 2.5D stealth platforming approach of the Chronicles sub-series, but introduces a brighter setting, faster pacing, and more mechanically complex encounters. Set during the 19th-century conflict between the Sikh Empire and the East India Company, the game uses its historical backdrop to frame a more energetic and confrontation-oriented adventure. The story follows Arbaaz Mir, an Assassin navigating political tension and personal stakes tied to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The worst part of Assassin's Creed is the excessively difficult level. At the end of the day, it's just a game—there's no need to force players to overcome such extreme challenges. There should be adjustable difficulty settings. Don't forget that many players simply want to enjoy the experience, not seek out intense challenges
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not as good as the first Chronicles game. The story is somehow even more meh than before. Pacifist and ghosts remain the best way to keep this game interesting. Achievements are essentially carbon copy of first game. I would say the weakest of the trilogy in my opinion.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Chronicles of India features Arbaaz Mir in the story of retrieving the Kooh-i-Noor Diamond from the hands of Templars in the cultural backdrop Colonial British India in 1841. I'm able to witness the adventure consisting duty and romance of the protagonist in vibrant and colourful town of Amritsar and its Summer Palace. This story also explores the core essence of finding the Precursor sites embedded within the ancient temples and the challenges to face to achieve the goal.
