She was a #GameDev on a bunch of stuff (Free Realms, Full Spectrum Warrior, etc) and just had very cool opinions? Fun to read her stuff! I'd followed her for years on the other site, we were at least acquaintances, etc.

unlabelledView post →I know Full Spectrum Warrior is a legitimately decent game (it was developed by the late, great Pandemic Studios). The others, I can't say.
unlabelledView post →My current idea is that Full Spectrum Warrior was onto something and if you gave it depth of JA2 you could have a mindblowing game.

You had to use different tactics like setting up covering fire to maneuver your squad through an area. I missed that game. And then Alien Dark Descent came along. If you haven’t played it, you owe it to yourself.

unlabelledView post →And we were aware of Full Spectrum Warrior cuz of another issue of the gaming mag I mentioned, and it seemed like a pretty neat game, so we went for it. Of those four it ended up being the one we played the least; we still liked it, but it didn't grab us as much compared to the others.

unlabelledView post →They were so fun! I wish we had a current gen remake. Another honorable mention: Full Spectrum Warrior (but that game is pretty niche lol) GTA 6 is going on this list the second it comes out 😂 I also had a career as a spinner all rounder 😂 🤝

The final game by Pandemic Studios (Dark Reign 2, Full Spectrum Warrior, Triple Play 2002, Army Men: RTS, Star Wars: Battlefront, Destroy All Humans!, Mercenaries) before shutting down that same year. Starring Robin Artkin Downes attempting an Irish accent!

unlabelledView post →Also, I might need two franchises. I'd love to play a new Full Spectrum Warrior game, but to be honest I'd probably feel more comfortable putting it in a non-realistic setting - probably sci-fi. So maybe Star (Wars/Trek), X-Com, or something like that. 2/2
