60 of 79 · most liked firstPAX Unplugged recap thread! It was an amazing con as it is every year. Got to see some familiar faces, met some new friends, worked at the Flatout booth, sold games at the Indie Games Night Market, pitched to publishers, and got to tell everyone about my new game, HONEYPOT!

Illustrators not sharing in that, especially for games with long-term success, is not fair or equitable. I was very happy when Flatout Games added royalties to Beth's contracts.

Both are coming to #Kickstarter in February. What’s your favorite Flatout game? #BoardGames #CardGame #PointSalad #WorkerPlacement

Please don't hesitate to say hi 😊 Masked pic so you can recognize me in the hall. Flatout booth: Fri: 2–6 Sat: 2–6 Sun: 9:30–2

For me it's seeing familiar faces, working part time at the Flatout Booth, checking out the Indie Games Night Market (www.newmillindustries.com/ignm), and pitching game designs for the first time!

unlabelledView post →I know people weren't so hot on the original game but FlatOut 4's official VR version feels incredible to play, even in early access. Need to get better footage capture next time but an hour just flew by store.steampowered.com/app/3844750/...
unlabelledView post →Definitely going to make me *much* more hesitant over any AEG board game, but you can pry the Flatout Games that they distribute (particularly the Calico and Cascadia families) from my cold, dead fingers. But hope the Flatout folks see how little respect their publisher's COO has for designers.

unlabelledView post →UGH!! Nocturne is absolutely GORGEOUS! Definitely a perfect fit for the Flatout Games lineup😍🤩
unlabelledView post →Virtua Racing - FlatOut - for the Playstation 2. It's not a bad racing game, but it's a lousy Virtua Racing. Still kinda neat to poke around in, race all the tracks, unlock the secret cars... Not sure what they were thinking with that map of the final track. What a mess. #retrogaming #sega
unlabelledView post →PS@ Virtua Racing FLATOUT is an interesting... remake? sequel? It's not a port of the Virtua Racing arcade game like Genesis or 32X (yes 32X has extra cars/extra tracks). It's a LITTLE like the Time Warner Interactive's VR Virtua Racing for Saturn. 🧵 #virtuaracing #videogames #racinggames #sega
unlabelledView post →Another great Flatout game I've been able to playtest. David Iezzi's design is very fun and gives a familiar yet slightly different feel from other Flatout titles. I love what they've done with the theme and, of course, @bethsobel.bsky.social painting this fantasy magic setting is wonderful!
unlabelledView post →This year I've been doing regular development work for Flatout Games. So far this year I've worked on Knitting Circle, Cascadia Junior, Point Galaxy, Propolis, and a yet to be announced title. I also helped out at the Flatout booth at PAX Unplugged and pitched my game designs to publishers.

Wreckfest Wreckfest is a newer game on this list but it definitely echoes racing games of yesteryear - namely FlatOut and Destruction Derby. this is a very tasty driving game with silky smooth handling and a wide variety of game modes. you can race on a circuit, or demo derby some lawnmowers 😆

unlabelledView post →The monkey’s paw here is that this cool ass feature is for a game I’m not sure I’ll like much, since it’s more or less FlatOut, and I think FlatOut is pretty mid. But for ten bucks I’ll give it a whack

Bush - The People That We Love (NFS Hot Pursuit 2 (probably the best track off that ost, but I like grunge so im biased)) Zebrahead - Lobotomy for Dummies (FlatOut 2) Me My Head - White Lights (Test Drive Unlimited 2 (the only remotely bearable track the rock station plays in that game))
unlabelledView post →Another amazing game from Flatout! While I didn't do development on this one, I did playtest it a few times and the spatial drafting and crunchiness is quite unique. Check it out if you like puzzly games!

unlabelledView post →So prompted a little bit by its mention in ColourShed’s review of FlatOut Ultimate Carnage, I’m finally trying out Ridge Racer Unbounded. And it’s so weird to me that it’s a Bugbear game (the people behind FlatOut and Wreckfest). And what a fantastically corny intro
unlabelledView post →I’m unsure if I’ve ever actually talked about this here. But I have world record in a level of a racing game, FlatOut 2. For at least a year too! If you knew, hey that’s cool! If you didn’t know that, well.. fun fact I suppose! Hope y’all are doing okay today!
unlabelledView post →Flatout Total Insanity VR is a cracking game, great fun, and works well with a list of wheel brands I don't recognise, but means something to those who do! Flat2VR Studios still got heart. Here's the interview in full: www.uploadvr.com/interview-fl...
unlabelledView post →I haven't a clue, Metal Hellsinger? Then again those songs were written for the game and I don't know if it's available to buy outside of the game FlatOut 2, Driven to Destruction, Burnout 3/4/P are probably similar scenarios idk

unlabelledView post →Interesting VR game release today! I played a ton of the FlatOut series growing up, especially the PSP release. This is a completely unexpected (but welcomed) addition to my VR racing catalog, the people behind Flat2VR Studios have done excellent work with ports in the past. I’m itching to go wreck!
unlabelledView post →Oh yeah that was such a good port, I really like how they adapted the game to the hardware too, still keeping it very Sega Rally but nicely distilled for the PSP I played a lot of Flatout: Head On too. Loved the feel of the weight of the cars in both games when swinging your vehicle around corners!
unlabelledView post →Flatout 2 is definitely the better game. They made the sequel better indeed.

unlabelledView post →have you played FlatOut UC? FlatOut is the series that Wreckfest is a spiritual successor of, and it's a lot of fun the driving is more weighty than Burnout 3, but it's still a lot faster than Wreckfest is
unlabelledView post →Flatout 2 is only a buck fifty? Hell yeah, there's a game more people should try.
unlabelledView post →I played Flatout 2 for the first time this year and that has some car combat bits in it, there's loads of different events and a destruction derby is one of them. I really enjoyed that game.

unlabelledView post →Oooo racing games? Outside of the classic NFS's, I could recommend one of the Cruis'n games if you can find ones to emulate, or possibly even something like one of the Burnout or FlatOut titles! Could also recommend Full Auto too as I remember having fun with that game in my youth l3
unlabelledView post →I have been helping test Flatout VR Total Insanity. It's now released and I can talk about it. This game goes straight onto my VR GOTY shortlist for 2026. It's insane amounts of fun. #pcvr #flatout #goty
unlabelledView post →The Flatout series kinda stopped after that PSP version. Not that there weren't more games, rather the IP was handed to different studios that did at best "mid" and at worst "the worst rated racing game on Steam" levels of bad with this franchise. I don't have high hopes but lemme know how it goes!
unlabelledView post →ive mentioned this style to @noppy as I wanted to do something similar for Flatout (something I was wlrking on ) I would love to see more games return to the Art of Atari game covers. So I wll be following this KS wth great interest
