60 of 82 · most liked firstI don’t know if I should give this game a THUMP UP or DOWN. ;( I have mixed feelings about this game, maybe because I am totally in love with this Rock 'n' Roll / Bikerstyle. Anyways here are the most important facts in my eyes: First of all a WARNING: You can play this game just in Singleplayer OR you host a game local with a friend. When I played it local with a friend the game hasn’t filled the other slots with bots so this seems to be bugged. Multiplayer online isn’t possible because there…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fireburst is a fantastic looking car combat game that lives and dies on its fire attack nitro boosts that can also kill you. When your car overheats you explode and respawn. Ramming through a red barrel will make your vehicle heat up considerably. To keep your vehicle cool there are plenty of puddles, water falls and blue barrels to drive through. Its an interesting mechanic that has you watching the flames on your windshield rather than the action on the course. Its a game that puts forth a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Probably one of the laziest games I've ever come to play... Gameplay is sloppy, graphics are not that good, characters are just painful stereotypes, none of them are really funny, and they just come out as annoying, tracks don't match the gamestyle of the game, there's too much going on wherever you go, so it's hard to keep track of where you're supposed to go. It's a mess...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is actually a surprisingly good game. The track design is very nice. There's an array of cars and drivers, which you select separately. Each car and driver has their own stats, and they add together for some customization. Each car has a different paint-job depending on the driver as well. The game's main gimmick is heat. There's a strong risk-vs-reward element, and it's all about managing heat. When your car overheats, it blows up. When you use boost, your heat gauge rises. As you boost…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fireburst is actually one of the few destructive racing games that I really enjoy. All the other bad things people are saying about this (besides the multiplayer) are either lies or they aren't happening to me. My overall rating for this is 8.5 because besides the multiplayer, the game is so much fun. The way you scorch your enemies is so satisfying and epic. If you have a slow computer, the launcher for this game is great. You can either have high graphics, or high performence, or even a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bah, I really wish there was a mixed review option. This game isn't bad, but it's not somthing I'll probably go back to again. Although I like the cast of characters and the track design is neat, the handling is the slighest bit off to feel discomforting and the entire gimmick the game is based off of does not really carry the game that far.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're looking for excitement and suspense around every corner then this is the game to play. I love how graphic everything is and the water and scenery are very realistic. I personally, like to cause as much destruction as possible while racing so this is perfect for me. You can choose to play on your own and battle challenges to get unlocks such as better cars or you can play multiplayer and have fun that way. I would definitely recommend this game and I have thoroughly enjoyed playing it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've tried to use this game, but after the first race it require R key to proceed, but the key didn't works. Then it ask to press Esc, and also there the Key didn't work. For me it's impossible to play : this game didn't works! 0/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fireburst. I got this on a bundle some time ago, and I gave it a shot. Very, very bad decision. Imagine a game that has horrible optimization, lack of graphical options, bad controls and performance, lots of bugs and the lack of controller support (the K+M controls are obnoxious nevertheless). Now, I could be describing a bad PC port but, guess what, this game is a PC exclusive. Horrific. The game is about races in a post-nuclear world, and make games like Post Apocalyptic Mayhem (which are not…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is terrible, but thats probably what I should expect for like $1.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fireburst is a competent racing game that doesn't really add anything new to the genre, but hey it's a racing game and for that reason alone it is probably of interest to racing or action minded gamers. The Steam Overlay and widescreen modes work, and controller support is included by default. Overall the game does not try to do anything new, the flame-on ability of your car essentially allowing insta-kill collisions doesn't really add anything exciting to the mix. However the level design…

Rev up to scorching speeds to outrun opponents on a dozen different tracks, setting them ablaze in your flaming wake thanks to our exclusive Fireboost technology. Drive as sixteen sarcastic drivers with unique styles and taunts, using various explosive, fire-based special abilities to turn other cars into a pyre of parts. Leave opponents sucking on your smoldering dust in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First impression: well-designed tracks, driving is predicatably aracde but handles reasonably well, the heat system provides a challenge even when you're doing split-screen (which has no AI). Looks good, sounds nice, it's no 100-hour game, but no disappointment either.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was good despite the reviews. I especially like games with local multiplayer the only problem is that it dose not support Linux but all the same it's a destructive car racing game. Awsome!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love it when I spend under 3 Australian Dollars for an almost 10 year old game, that doesn't advertise controller or Win 10 support, and it just works flawlessly from first launch and x input controllers work great as well. Capcom, take note - with your generally much more expensive games often having issues! Konami, you too. Anyway, this is just pure arcade racing with ultra high speed, jumps, nitro boosts (which is also a weapon), and slammin' tunes as you're racing. If anything, it kind…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good racing game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Probably , the shortest ever racing game I have played which I still loved. Although, no racing game is short or long, because the in-game menu style is as simple as quick race mode and challenge mode giving you not much variety and motivation to play it for longer once you fully exhaust every race type, every map, every environment, track and challenges. But I fell in love with this cute game. The game comes with 7-8 different maps including ports, off-roads, mountains, docks, air fields and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is a mix of Burnout and Flatout for a cheap price you can enjoy 2-3 days if you're bored. there is no story, so its just a casual arcade
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fireburst is basically just Motorstorm with boost takedown mechanics, but with terrible physics and really cheesy, stereotypical (also unmemorable) characters. There isn't really much to say, you have multiple kinds of boost systems that can take down other cars with different ways, and you blow up if you boost too much. There are barrels around the track; blue for water barrels which cool down your car, and red ones that heat it up and can cause your car to blow. The game is super easy and…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overview Off-road racing in unorthodox places like a railway depot, harbor warehouse and aircraft scrapyard. Fiery boosters push you ahead while leaving opponents behind bursting into flames. 9 total achievements, doable with little to no grind — perfect game alert! Gameplay ★★★★★ Fireburst combines speed boosts and vehicular combat into a simple and elegant concept. When a car's boosters are ignited, flames are expelled and will scorch opponents who are nearby. The manner in which such an…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game is broken, supper glitchy and lacks polish. its pretty much a poor clone of motor storm with boost causing the other racers to start dieing around you, which makes things easy because half the time the boost glitches and becomes unlimited, causing you to auto win.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am really enjoying Fireburst! The controls on gamepad work great. The music is once again a mix of metal and punk, perfect for the genre. I had Fireburst running in ultra graphics and it looked really good. I did have a few problems when restarting a race, with the colors loading in. Hitting pause and then resume seemed to fix that instantly. The voice acting was great. The drivers are talking smack back and forth the entire race and the lines are funny as heck. The stereo typing is kind of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fireburst is essentially a budget Motorstorm game with the addition of vehicular combat. Honestly, I thought I would hate this game, but actually, I like this more than expected. The biggest thing for me is the vehicular combat. It expands on the heat mechanic in Motorstorm by spewing out fire when boosting to explode other enemies. This also allowed them to make an arena deathmatch mode based of this mechanic. This alone make the game much more interesting than just the racing of Motorstorm.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a competitive/PvP racing game along the lines of Motorstorm. At first look it seems fun, and there's a nice soundtrack and some interesting looking action. Don't be fooled. First, crippling stability issues - I had to force reboot my PC after the game killed the screen. There's numerous bugs. It's a console port and while some effort was made to improve the feature set for PCs, there's no 4K support. The gameplay and soundtrack? While they seem promising at first, they're all you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's an awesome racing game, you should definitely try it :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has the potential to be a great game but a few deficiencies result in it just being a quite good game. Each car has a fireboost power which speeds up your car and damages opponents however it generates heat which can cause your car to explode. Your car can be cooled down by driving through water which makes for great gameplay. Both the choice of driver and car affects the stats. The challenge mode introduces variations into the gameplay and is great fun however it is far too short.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lacks polish but you can tell it was made with SOVL. The overheat/cooling mechanics are surprisingly neato.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fireburst is an unapologetically explosive arcade racing game that fully commits to speed, spectacle, and controlled chaos. Developed by exDream and published by Strategy First, it presents a racing experience that is less about clean lines and technical precision and more about aggression, momentum, and risk-reward decision-making. From the moment a race begins, the game establishes its identity through loud engines, fiery visuals, and an intense pace that rarely gives players time to breathe.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'd love to write a great review. But this game isn't worth it. It sucks. Avoid it. That's all.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its pretty fun. Not as good as motorama if I'm being honest, but i do enjoy it. Some of the challenges are difficult, not because its hard to race well, but because you have to restrain yourself and take longer to complete them. But a challenge is a challenge, and its not a bad game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After I played the demo on 360 and moderately-enjoyed it, I figured what the hell I'll pick this up during the Steam Summer Sale. I had been wanting to pick up a racing game, and this seemed to have an interesting mechanic. I really don't care for the podunk skew they seemed to throw onto it, and the handling feels very loose on a USB gamepad. (which unless you enjoy fish-tailing constantly in a racing game and not being able to make accurate turns, is not a good thing..) The graphics are…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's really not that bad of a game, but there are better arcade racers out there. I would even suggest just playing Star Wars: Racer on the N64. The playable characters are pretty lame, I didn't find any that really interested me and they're all just boring. The collision mechanics also suck. Everything looks amazing and the feeling of speed is really awesome, but the moment you crash into a wall or other racers, you realize how janky the physics are and it takes you out of the game. Also,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Refreshed from the Game Jam I solved a hanging problem around movement. I also got the Fireburst and Arcane Orb spells added to my #VisualNovel. 63 to go. Remind me, why did I think it was a good idea to implement the entire range of #D12Expeditions abilities? But seriously, it is good to be back.
unlabelledView post →Fun racing game for the price. Reminded me of playing the motorstorm series a bit. The graphics were unoffensive playing on highest setting in 1440p (on a 4k monitor though, no 4k resolution option from what i could tell). The music was pretty good but I just turned on my own like I usually do. The car handling was pretty good, and the tracks varied and interesting enough. Not terribly long, got all achievements in 2.5 hours. I had a good time, you probably will too if you can enjoy some…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/3p1tLLlJsCQ Connecting everything to the heat mechanic comes at the cost of other mechanics feeling reduced to make room almost to a level that they become inconsequential.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun to play in short bursts. Another game similar to motorstorm.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It looks good, sounds good, but that's it. Gameplay is totally messed up. The main feature is broken and vehicle physics isn't good enough.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall = 6/10 An explosive and chaotic racing game which uniquely has you completing challenges in every race instead of a traditional grand prix type of tournament. It’s pretty easy after you get used to the extremely limited (and unresponsive) boost mechanic and wonky handling of the vehicles but with only a few tracks and different vehicles, it doesn’t take long to complete the game. It’s frantic and fast paced mayhem and some of the challenges are tough, but there are much better racing…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fireburst Positives: + Fun challenge/campaign mode + ok sense of speed in behind view + good graphics and sound + cool music + nice tracks + a lot of different cars to choose from + fireboost is a cool touch + you can adjust AI difficulty level to your liking (I recommend 2-3) Negatives: - some of the challenges are too difficult to be fun - the handling is a mixed bag - first person view is useless (very narrow FOV, too shaky, and almost no sense of speed) - a bit short, could have had more…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a great-looking, polished and working arcade racer with gorgeous maps and interesting mechanics and it's a shame that nobody is playing or at least remembering this game, apparently. If you just buy this on sale for the singleplayer content as I did, you still get a good 3-5 hours of content and some pretty rewarding moments.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is so much good here in terms of aesthetics, sound and graphics. However, the bottom line is that the core mechanic of "Fireburst" is fatally flawed as more often than not, employing it harms the player to the point that it is more advantageous to not use it at all. The mechanic of cooling down your car in puddles and barrels before it overheats is an interesting concept, but it fails in execution. AI opponents race through the same cooldown areas as you are, so the decision to use…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Firebust is an enjoyable racing game which can get frustrating at times. Weather it is bad luck or good luck it does play an important part in this game. It is a matter of being in the right place at the right time on the track. In order to take down your opponents you need to boost past them and set them on fire. This is what's called a Fireburst. It takes a bit of practise to get it right, but once mastered you will be well on your way. When hitting the boost button to create a Fireburst…
