negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →EDIT 10/20/2025: The new publisher added a totally unnecessary launcher to advertise their other games. If you really want the game, get it on GOG as it wasn't updated with the launcher there. https://steamcommunity.com/app/7840/discussions/0/506217282369866147/ Death Track: Resurrection is an odd game. Its definitely not the worst vehicular combat game, however it falls very short compared to other titles. The best way to describe it is that its one of the most schizophrenic game I've ever…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I must have gotten this game in a bundle at some point in the past because I do not know where it came from. That thought alone makes me feel better about owning it. This game is crap. No, it's CRAAAAAAAAAP. It started showing that trait as soon as it started. It seemed to be obsessed with the "B" button on my XBOX controller. It is used to confirm an action rather than cancel it. Okay. Anyway, the game itself is just ugly. BROWN and ugly. You are racing. I guess. And shooting at…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is one of the many games that made my chidhood, it's a nice game to play when you're bored but beware, it can be very rough to starters but trust me, once you get the hand on it, you'll have a nice time
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's pretty bad when the default xbox 360 controller controls are up + down = left and right and left + right on the other stick is accelerate and brake. Although it was funny playing the game with the controller turned 90 degrees. EDIT: Typo and "helpful review. for anyone wondering, you CAN REBIND the buttons. See thread: http://steamcommunity.com/app/7840/discussions/0/846959179179239666/" Thank you Mr. Red. For me it was just easier to play something else :P
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a bad rip-off of Carmageddon in my opinion. If you take it in a classic view, it is a very good game. If you take it in a modern view, you'll probably get disappointed. This is the only reason i give it a bad review, it won't get to the ears of everyone.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →SPent a dollar on this and I feel robbed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Death Track: Resurrection Positives: + Finally a Death Track successor + The tracks are cool and well made + Carmaggeddon style comments and view of the destruction + The graphics are ok + The sound is ok + If you play it right, its also quite fun + Parts and weapons upgrade + Has a story mode (called "Scenario") + Drag Races Negatives: - A lot of horrible bugs that never were fixed - Many errors and sudden quits of the game (making it hard to play) - You need to force stop the game after you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not so deadly apparently... Racing game set in post apocalyptic cities. Interface hard to navigate with controller. Visuals are something you would expect from 2009 game. Music is a mixed bag of metal and electronic. Tournament mode, scenario, quick race and drag race modes are available. 10 different tracks across world and 11 cars to choose from. Design is mostly ok offering a bit of variety. 3 levels of upgrades for engine, transmission and armor. Weapons are divided into main, secondary…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Go get Gas Guzzlers Extreme, Crashday or even Burnin' Rubber instead. There's no substance here at all, cars feel similar. tracks feel similar, the story is pointless. the guns are all redundant and aren't fun to use. Just no, it's not worth the money even when heavily discounted.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →play Post Apocalyptic Mayhem instead
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its a good game, but it doesnt run very well, crashes all the time. :(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Janky Russian Combat Racer. I got it in a bundle so I can't complain. Weird as heck cut scenes. I just wish the racing actually made you feel like you were going fast instead of feeling like things slowed down. I'm gonna uninstall this now.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game doesn't even function properly. Nitro is broken, doesn't work and just earrapes you...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Get Gas Guzzlers Extreme instead. Death Track Resurrection is just a broken game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game has too many technical issues and not enough real challenge or polish. As someone who loves combat racing games, I wish I could say otherwise.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not so good, an ordinary run-and-destroy racing game. is it bad? no can you have better experiences? absolutely yes. not recommended because you can spend your time playing something more interesting
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good even though it's short, and somewhat lacking
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't seem to get this to work, despite all i have tried. Not sure what the issue is but can never get past the loading screen without it crashing =C
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ugh. Uninstalling ...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ok this game is just wow it reminds me of when i play Jak X Combat Racing on the PS2 BUT i must say there are some downsides to this title the story is rather short lack of a sound track i think i heard the same song Twice on the same track but the gamplay is TIght its Challenging and rather good Sound and Effects = 8/10 music = 4/10 gameplay = 9/10 difficulty curve = 7/10 replay value = 9/10 final score of 6/10 furry claws this game is good if you had a bad day and want to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ok for a fighting race car game but i wouldnt wast money on it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is an absolute FAIL! No multiplayer, sloppy levels and handling that predates the invention of the wheel. I'm going to play the original Death Track with DOSBOX instead!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Having played the original, this just doesn't feel as much fun. It's much prettier, sure, as the original is a DOS game... but it adds a whole bunch of stuff... that doesn't add to the fun. The DOS game was an almost pure racer... with weapons added to the mix; no destructible environments, no alternate routes, no jumps, no environmental hazards, no cinematic camera, no third person view, just the racetrack and weapons.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I just love this game. It is pretty similar to the good old Death Track, it expands on it but in a good direction. I have played this since release, and a lot more than the recorded hours, probably around 100hrs. This is much more fast-paced than most other racing games, and it is fun and action-filled. I pretty consistently finish first, while in other racing games I struggle a lot more to even get into top-3. It is less about how well you line up going into a corner and more about reflexes…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A surprisingly good, old school arcade racer with guns. Pros/cons: + Runs 4K/200+ fps on a GTX 1650 + Fast paced, engaging, fun + Despite being old, there is good support for modern resolutions and possibility to configure controller buttons (a must in a racing game). - Doesn't close normally and has to be killed in the task manager every time - Unlocked frame rate causes nitro not to work properly (buzzing noise and no boost of speed). Forcing V-Sync or capping to 60fps externally in Nvidia…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While a lot of people seem not to like DT:R, I think it's a decent game if you're interested in games like Rollcage and the like. Pros: - Good graphics for it's time and runs at a stable 60fps on my system. - Nice variety of locations to race. - Cheap, even more so when it's on sale. Cons: - Gameplay gets boring quickly, the game is best enjoyed in short sessions. I think DT:R suffers from the fact that the developers seemed unfocussed and didn't go 'all out' with this title, look at…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite all the issues this game suffers from It isn't really that bad. I see far too many people complaining that using an Xbox controller has a terrible preset and I have to agree. It's downright awful! But with some tweaking you can easily get it to where It should be. But that's part of the problem I suppose- These days people cannot be bothered to do that. What the game really lack is phasing. Simple as that. Even the cutscenes are somewhat slow and confusing! (Though most people should…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Reminds me of Death Rally. High speed arcade shoot em up racer, great fun. The campaign and tournament progression system is a bit rough but the gameplay is competitive and fun, moreso when you unlock the faster engine parts.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Seems like unplayable garbage to me
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really enjoying this, very glad I found it... haven't had any of the technical issues mentioned - using windows 10. If you liked blur, split second, or any combat arcade racing game you might also like this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →YOU CAN'T QUIT THE GAAAMMMMEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the old game on my 486, and love the remake game play. A bit harder on my finger in my older age ':-D But Buggy as F**K!!!!! Keeps crashing
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not bad for a CHEAP game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game is fun and can be a pain in the ass to beat
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It just crashes
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A futuristic death race with less-than adequate controls and many annoyances. Xbox One and Xbox 360 controllers will not work properly with this game out-of-the-box (b-button to accelerate, not much else), but button mapping tools are built right into Steam and are freely available elsewhere, so i can't make that a big issue like I used to. It's just a headache to have to map the buttons to make this playable with anything other than a keyboard. The races aren't exactly fun, either. The…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought this because I played the original Deathtrack back in the 80's. Had way more fun then. Handling of cars are dreadful.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game freezes my computer. I don't even know why I purchased this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →0/10 this sucks
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →FlatOut 3 is better there you go, I said it! I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ despise this game so much because you are NEVER in control of your car as it seems to have a brain of its sometimes, automatically screwing you over many many times. The boost sound will absolutely blow up your ears and the tracks are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful and long and boring for the most part. You have to boost all the damn race to maybe stay in front after you've wrecked anyone in the race before that. It's excruciating and so unrewarding, I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Actually Death Track Resurrection is fun to play. It have a lot potential, but broken. Developer should make it AI easier in low difficulty, patch 60 fps caps on modern system, easier car handling, and easier to get money in the game. I truly like the atmosphere, ruined city clipart, and cars weapon system.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite an entertaining little game, people mentioning horrible bugs and glitches and whatnot but the only thing I found was the nitro glitch which is easily fixable and it's perfectly normal for a game like this. A lot of people also banging on the game saying it's unfair and hard, those are the same people that decided to start the game on the challenge section instead of the story mode. The game isn't at fault for their retardation. However I do have to agree the handling is a bit wierd,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An exceedingly difficult combat racing game. I was not able to finish the campaign. I don't remember much else about it, but as memory goes I can't recommend it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Controls are sluggish and stiff, gameplay is confusing and disorienting. Production value is about on par with what you'd expect for $3.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very disappointed in this, not at all the superb game I remember from waaaaaay back :( I could live with it, if the game was playable using keyboard controls - but i'm unable to keep a car on the track.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the worst racing games I've ever played.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Remember Split/Second ? Well, in my opinion, this is the game that started the game mechanic where you race and blow up the environments at the same time. It's the same as all the other arcade racers - it isn't even good, mind you - but it mixes racing with vehicular combat and destructible environments. Somewhat succesful. It's kind of fun at times, but Split/Second is better in every way so if I have to make a choice for you; go for that game. [Rating: 64/100]
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The graphics are good af for how old it is and still hold up pretty well, if im being honest i expected less so its surprising. The controls are kinda uncomfortable at first but once u fix them theyre fine. The background music goes hard and the overall vibe is sick. Taking out the people you're racing against is fun and most of the cars look really cool. The only thing thats missing is achievements but other than that its definitely worth playing if ure into combat racing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Death Track: Resurrection is a high-octane, arcade-style combat racing game developed by Sky Fallen and published by Fulqrum Publishing that attempts to resurrect a cult classic concept for a modern audience. Set in a dystopian near future where traditional motorsports have been replaced by deadly televised survival races, the game blends blistering speed with heavy vehicular combat, presenting a vision of racing as violent entertainment rather than pure competition. Its tone is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the worst game in my Library, constant crashes, useless launcher, sometimes it doesn't even start....do not buy. Uninstall save 2.65 Gigs
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Futuristic Race Game with no rules. Means: Use all your weapons and wipe your enemy from the Road. Aged surprisingly well. After you adjusted the resolution and the controller it works very well. And it sill is fun. For 3 Bucks you have quite a challenging race game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/8UdlUvkqifo Many years later the controls and systems are greatly lacking and fails to provide a satisfying experience for current players.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crap. Play something good like Gas Guzzlers instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Игра устарела. Играть в нее не надо. Есть куда более лучшие гонки с более отзывчивым управлением и графическим оформлением.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- Handling is slow and less responsive than it should have been - The AI and difficulty level is very hard and unfair - Once you you destroyed an opponent, they'll respawn soon and ready to get back at you in no time This game ruins the beautiful memories of my childhood when I first played the old one.. This is just based on my experience, not everyone may feel the same way 👀
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It 'technically' runs and can be played, but I also could 'technically' eat my own ♥♥♥♥; it doesn't mean I want to. Although that may be a better experience then enduring another second of this game.
