I literally can't buy the game because I didn't have a bank account. I even sent an email to the developers if they'd agree if I can mail them cash or pay via Gcash (Now, steam accepts our local payment processor.) Back then, I was utterly lost on what to do right after the old…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am begging for these people to play two hours of, like, Factorio, or Dyson Sphere Project, or literally any management/production line game
unlabelledView post →20,000+ hours played. At this point, it's almost laughable for me to write a review. If you spend over 20,000 hours playing a game, the recommendation is pretty obvious. I've played for more than 20,000 hours, and I still find myself starting new factories, solving new problems, and optimizing old designs. It has one of the best gameplay loops ever created. Whether you're building your first automated smelting line or designing megabases producing thousands (or millions) of science packs per…

If you're the type of person who enjoys making a Sim City thrive while not using a infinite money cheat, you may be an Ops person. Other adjacent games you might enjoy: base building, Factorio, and the Sims #gamedev

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game thinking, "Oh, cool, a logistics puzzle game. I'll play this for an hour to unwind after work." My family keeps knocking on my door asking if I'm okay. I tried to explain to them that I can't come out to dinner because I need to refine my main bus. Plus family are inefficient. Pros: - I have never felt more efficient in my life. - I have solved the world's energy crisis (in a simulation). - The factory is growing. Cons: - The sun is too bright now. - I miss my…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is the definition of a game made by the developers for the developers. Every tiny little issue is fixed quickly and perfectly. I am absolutely blown away by the attention to detail and quality of the game. Also, it's the absolute pinnacle of the genre, best game that I have ever devoted 11,000+ hours to. :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Friendly Warning for Your Social Life. If you are looking for a game to casually "dip your toes into" for twenty minutes before bed, Factorio is the worst financial and physiological decision you will ever make. It is, quite literally, a digital narcotic disguised as a logistics simulator. Commonly referred to by its victims—I mean, players—as "Cracktorio," this is a game that is highly recommendable to people who don't want to spend much time on a game, simply because the game will make…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’m actually afraid to click "Play" anymore. You tell yourself you'll just fix one conveyor belt, then you blink, and suddenly the sun is up, the birds are chirping, and you have to drive the kids to school in 20 minutes. This game didn't just hook me, it consumed my soul. The factory must grow, but my sleep schedule is ruined. 10/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing game. I decided to run a little experiment on my 10-year-old son: "if you launch a rocket into space, I'll give you $100" Three days later, he launched it Now I'm $100 poorer, but I have a great story and an awesome save file of a base built by someone who tried really, really hard. 10/10, would make questionable financial bets with my child again.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice to find out while making the Safe for Baby videogame playlist that at some point due to console ports or whatever that Stardew Valley, Satisfactory and Factorio all got full scale native controller support. ...should I try Stardew Valley? I heard it was just Animal Crossing with more game.
unlabelledView post →Cool game and all, but I couldn't optimize my wife's ultimatum. Good thing blue circuit production is up 23%... In unrelated news, the audacity of her to claim half my resources in THE DIVORCE is such a biter move... Tis only a minor setback, The factory MUST GROW!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Introduce your kid to this game. Kid will never touch drugs — the game is digital crack. Kid eventually becomes some kind of engineer. Optional: occasionally check in and ask, “Engineer yet?” (Mandatory if Asian.) Profit.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am coming to this from Satisfactory. I also work in supply chain management for my day job. Take everything I am about to say with that terrifying context in mind. *A Highly Targetable Mental Illness: This game is engineered for a very specific type of person—the kind of absolute psycho who will willingly torture themselves for six hours just to build a "perfectly optimized" factory. *Actual Career Development: Ironically, it's making me better at my real job. It turns out that fixing…

I made my game Bug Chain available to play in browser over on ianzell.itch.io/bug-chain if youre a fan of games like Pikmin and Factorio would love for you to give it a try! You harvest food with your little bugs, build hives for them, and try to balance a complicated and fragile ecosystem

unlabelledView post →I've only played this game a little bit. I have so much more to do. Honestly tho, Great game for anyone with ADHD, PTSD and/or Anxiety. I actually get more things done while spending my time in the game than if I'm not playing. I think others with some mental health issue will understand. I hope this info helps someone. =)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beware: Once you play this game, your entire Steam library will disappear (a figure of speech). No other games will interest you for quite a while. Once you install mods....you won't see the outside world for quite a while. I've played almost 100 hours these 2 weeks alone....and I work 10 hours per day. 10.5/10 game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For me, this is one of the very few perfect games I've ever played. Every game is something different. Their may only be one end goal of the game, but the goals you create for yourself are endless. I keep looking for new games that compare to this to give them a try but so far I've found nothing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Easily one of the best games ever, infinite replayability and is great for people with autism, my only complain would be that there's way too many unnecessary sex scenes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Spent most of the weekend playing Factorio with my partner, and it was time well spent.
unlabelledView post →I don't think that anyone reading a review should play Factorio. At this point, especially given the game's popularity, if you don't already know if Factorio is going to be for you or not, then it probably isn't. I can imagine someone getting recommended this game but then discovering that it's a complete slog for them. And I'm going to try and articulate why. Learning Curve? What's that? There's a lot of brick walls of apparent complexity that can feel incredibly daunting when you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought Factorio thinking it was a chill factory builder. It is not chill. It is industrialised obsession. You start automating iron. Then copper. Then circuits. Then you’re redesigning your entire base at 2:47am because one belt is backwards and now the economy has collapsed. The game never tells you to optimise. It just quietly suggests: “That could be better.” And suddenly you’re calculating ratios like it’s your job. Multiplayer is dangerous. You and your mate will begin cooperating and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am a Med student, and this game made me consider leaving Med school to have more time; owing to the fact that the factory must grow.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Programmers love Factorio because playing this game is the only way they can experience the Pure Joy of Recreational Programming without the Corporate Bullshit and Unnecessary Complexity Slop forced on them constantly for no reason.
unlabelledView post →Nah, I'm not 13337, not even 1337. I still play this game in quite a stupid way (imperfect ratios, minimum blueprings of mine..). And I love it. Worth all the time since version 0.15.37. Thumbs down for additional conditions about achievements (map generation). Yes, you can downgrade the game version but I'd appreciate it more if the game had this sorted out already during early access. Oh I almost forgot: The factory must grow! This game is like a digital cocaine!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →perfect game, refunded bc i realized i wouldnt be able to stop playing if i didnt
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My hours spent should speak enough. Endless gameplay and the mods are awesome.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first two weeks of playing this game are the most brain-stimulating experience you will ever have, harder than any drugs you could try. You will lose your job, your friends, your family, your sleep. Not that any of it matters; the factory must grow. The only things on your mind are belts full of iron and copper, inserters, and electronic circuit assembling machines. There hasn’t been a single day since I bought this game that I haven’t recommended it to my friends. If you are autistic and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has ruined other games for me. The amount of love and quality of life Wube has put into this game is absolutely astonishing. I really love city building/automation games and I cannot help but compare every single one of those games to this and I am constantly frustrated playing other games when they are missing little features that this game has baked into it. The modding scene is tremendous and helps make this game extremely replayable, but you can definitely push the base game to…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm a designer and engineer at heart this game allows me to enjoy things that someone with a disability would not be able to do it without people helping them attain the resources. Thank you game designers for making this wonderful game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible game, I lost my relationship over it, my education, my sleep habits, my sense of hunger, my sense of time, my interest in humans, my past time, the present and my future. Gonna keep playing. The factory must grow.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Money is not scarce in Starfield and there actually isn't a ton of stuff to buy except for spaceship building so I'm befuddled that folks want to play Bad Factorio in order to spend time selling thousands of adaptive frames in what basically sounds like Loading Screens, The Game.

unlabelledView post →Title: You don’t play Factorio. You exist across it. Factorio starts as a simple factory builder, but it doesn’t stay that way for long. At first, you operate in a “microworld.” You place belts, machines, inserters... You are directly involved in every action. Every piece matters, and every decision is local. But as the factory grows, something changes. You stop interacting with individual elements and start managing systems. Production lines, train networks, logistics chains...…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is like crack cocaine, Satisfactory is like weed. Satisfactory takes awhile to get started, while Factorio just gives the you high IMMEDIATELY. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You literally forget to eat, drink and the concept of time while playing it. Triggers massive Hyperfocus episodes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My wife's put her first game on Steam! It would be very helpful to her and meaningful to us if you helped share and/or wishlisted the game. It is "A Typing-Based Factorio-like Wingspan-esque Roguelite Deckbuilder With Significant Killer 7 Elements". I don't know what that means but it sounds fun!
unlabelledView post →THE factory game if there are "Souls-like," "Rogue-like," "Metroidvania-like," then god forbid factorio defines the factory genre as "Factorio-like"

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Look at my playtime. Now look at me. I love this game. Good game is good. You may catch me complaining about minor issues, but that's only out of love for the game. I love Factorio enough to play for this long, so it must be a good game. Yeah?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i have sank nearly 50 hours into Factorio in the last two weeks, it topped my play time record on path of exile even, Factorio is now my second most played game and its inching close to Warframe
unlabelledView post →Pure, legalised and unfiltered cocaine. Build, calculate, optimise, remove, repeat. Infinite math, infinite optimisation, infinite sleepless nights or night of dreaming of factorio while sleeping. Cocaine is probably healthier but this is more fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Faced with the "Play any other game" vs. "push for an optimized tileable processing units setup in Factorio" decision and once again making the choice that contributes to Never Finishing Games

unlabelledView post →Oh dang, Mindustry is an EXCELLENT game, and this update has been a very long time coming. Factorio meets tower defense. You can buy it on Steam (which gets you slightly easier multiplayer setup and Steam Workshop support), but it's free on Itch and fully open-source.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Also, for folks being like, "oh, I like [space game], maybe I should check out X4" - I would also ask, "Do you like Factorio, Satisfactory or Anno?" because unlike in Bannerlord where you get resources for fighting by fighting, in X4, the path to wealth is industry.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Been gaming since ZX Spectrum was a thing. Never written a single review, but I guess it's time to just get it done for the most addictive game out there. Closing in on 13k hours, never ever launched a rocket. I play a very slow game, crank up the marathon settings and add mods to make it almost impossible to complete. Then slowly grow my factory for 1000h or 2000h, find a better way to do my rail system or defence system, delete all saves and start over. Play with full Angels/Bob suite,…

It’s just fun to spend time with. I would hug it if I could. Hello, my new best friend.
