Evilmorph is a small indie platformer game. But that should't matter, as there are plenty great indie platformers like super meat boy, or N. The english translation is pretty amateur, but that doesn't matter too much, it's not really a story driven game. First thing that caught my attention were options, where I saw a "controls" tab which sadly didn't allow me to map any actions. That wouldn't be too bad if the default binds were good (D-pad as movement doesn't work in platformers in my…

You know, I really wanted to like this game. I grew up with Ninja Gaiden on the NES and all that, but this game is hard for hard-to-pin-down reasons. You die when you really shouldn't... bad hitboxes, etc. That's incredibly off-putting, but I went at it for a while. If you're like me and you like a challenge, this game will have initial appeal, but I like games where I fail because I"m not good enough... not because there is some sort of magical hitbox distance you have to estimate in all…

This game is punishing. Very punishing. I have played for around an hour or two and just got my achievement for 250 deaths! That said, it keeps me coming for more. It got the look and feel of castlevania, yet the punishment and playstyle of super meatboy. I have already screamed at the computer several times and although there are some unfair characteristics of the game (i.e. after defeating the first boss you STILL have to get past some twirly killy thingies *No Checkpoint either*), I…

This is a "die and repeat" platformer, where you die A LOT until you memorize a pattern for reaching the exit. Buy only if you like sadistic gameplay.

Don't play this game for the story. If you have heart problems, this game is not for you either. This game is ridiculous hard. Love the main mechanic involved in this. I wouldn't quite say it's a puzzle platformer, but there is a bit of planning involved once you reach the later levels. That said, the main focus is in the platforming.

hard platformer. level design is very well put together. you can expect 40 challenging levels! I disliked that in some situations you couldn't see far enough below you where e.g. a chain saw moved left and right and you had to jump down but didn't know when and have no option to move the camera to see it. Then you had to play lottery and try your luck. Also THE BOSSES ARE THE WORST EVER MADE! Avoid endless seeming waves of projectiles until you succeed. You are NOT supposed to attack! Just…

Conceptually it's great. A tough platformer where you keep changing forms by killing your enemies and then using their abilities to navigate around the traps and progress. Unfortunately, a couple of technical aspects keep it from being anything but an unplayable mess. Firstly, while functional, the controls are not nearly as tight as they should be to accommodate to the level design, causing you many avoidable deaths. Deaths, which take around 3-4 seconds to reset the level, horribly breaking…

Evilmorph is nice, fascinating platformer with unique game mechanics. Control really takes time to master it,cause i died ~893428.5 times in almost beginning of the game. If you like retro theme or hardcore games - Evilmorph is for you. retro soundtrack+nice pixel graphics are appended ;)

Excellent game. One of the best games I've played. The concept is refreshing, the platforming is very smooth. This is exceptionally high quality. It's difficult, but rewarding.

What an absolute piece of garbage. Terrible controls that are in now way tight at all, yet this game also wants to boast super meat boy levels of tightness required in the platforming. The first boss gives 0 tells of any kind, is 100% rng dependent and an utter mess. I don't care about the $2 I wasted buying this piece of trash, but I do wish I could get back the 45 minutes I spent with this terribly designed attempt at a hard game. Do not waste your time.

the game consists of 40 stages and 4 bosses, it starts hard and gets uber hard. the main mechanic is that you kill a enemy and turn into that enemy gaining its abilitys until you kill a new enemy, this leads to some platforming puzzles were you have to kill the enemies in the right order and use their abilitys while you figure out how to get through the stages. everything kills you in 1 hit like most platformers of this difficulty. i dont recomend this game to people who find super meat boy…

Well, it started fun, and it is good to mention that this game is hard to complete with only 1 life. Higher price than it should have been.
