unlabelledView post →Very pleased to share Parodox's Educator's Guide for Europa Universalis IV (that I wrote) is now available for all. EUIV is a challenging game & I spent considerable time breaking down exactly how I'd use it in history classes in hopes the many interested educators out there will give it a try. 1/ 🗃️
unlabelledView post →Europa Universalis IV has 3D pawns but it’s basically a 2D game So I think the last 3D game I played was either Life is Strange 2 or ACNH

unlabelledView post →There's a Europa Universalis IV mod I really love called Anbennar, which takes the game and turns it into a high fantasy world They've started adding in new art to it and I dunno who drew this but I absolutely fucking love it
unlabelledView post →anyway i'm off to play the pre-release new version of Anbennar, a fantasy rework of Europa Universalis IV, which is a dangerously grognard-adjacent game. i hope the muskovites don't find out and chastise me! i have it on good authority it was written by *not a white person*, for added horror!
unlabelledView post →But my real highlight of the year wasn't a game but a mod for Europa Universalis IV : Anbennar which turn EUIV into a D&D fantasy strategy game with a lot of flavor and too many things to discover in your first 100hrs. steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/...

unlabelledView post →What a great year for my gaming! In 2013 Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm was easily my favorite game. Now in 2025? Europa Universalis IV likewise easily takes the crown. It's not even that I'm really down on Starcraft 2! Still an all-time top 3-5 game for me. EU4 is just my current number 1.

unlabelledView post →This month, we're celebrating 10 years of Europa Universalis IV - a game that is still very much actively worked on and improved a decade later. Happy to have been a part of it from the beginning.
unlabelledView post →I like that in my EUROPA UNIVERSALIS IV game as Hungary that Richard III remained king of England and acknowledged Henry Tudor as his heir.
unlabelledView post →I *know* I have some Paradox history game fans following me. So I'm going back to EUROPA UNIVERSALIS IV because I can't get V to run well on my PC for long and I want to try to get at least some of those achievements I never got. So...what's your ideal army ratio by mid-game?
unlabelledView post →The more I see of Europa Universalis V the more it really looks like a true sickos game. Good stuff from Europa Universalis IV with some parts inspired by Victoria, great changes to mechanics. This really seems to be a huge timesink
unlabelledView post →The number one rule I will always purpose. All political candidates must survive until 1800 in a game of Europa Universalis IV. That way they show that they understand geopolitics and cultural interaction to some degree. Presidential candidates must do so as Granada
unlabelledView post →We are taking a break from our ever expanding factory to revisit our old Hussite Bohemia game in Europa Universalis IV. Going to be wrapping up a few last goals before we put this save to bed! #goinglive with map painting in five minutes!
unlabelledView post →And we are live! It's been a long day, so we'll be relaxing with my favourite game of all time, Europa Universalis IV! Playing as Castille we'll hopefully dab on the rest of the world and pain the map GOLD Hope to see you! youtu.be/xGU2el0HJvg #envtuber #euiv #goinglive

unlabelledView post →There's this game, Europa Universalis IV (a grand strategy game), I just got back to playing it today after a fairly long time of not playing it, and they've done a lot of flavor reworking for Mesoamerica, which is nice, but couldn't they call the Nawa religion something other than "Nahuatl"?
unlabelledView post →Some personal highlights: @thiliel.bsky.social with their talk on feminist readings of Pentiment, J.M. Engelhardt on a (actually intriguing) Serious Game for Luthermuseen, and Mario Donick with an HCI-informed approach to Europa Universalis IV.

unlabelledView post →I don't think I like being in a game of EUROPA UNIVERSALIS IV being played by a bored 12-year-old hitting buttons randomly.
unlabelledView post →Name a game you've played more than 500 hours. I have none. But I played Europa Universalis IV for 425 hours. It may be my most played game. It is odd but also fitting. I am an old player of the original board game (early 90s french board game). I should make a proper thread about it one day.
unlabelledView post →Cleaning my hard drive, I have a save game of Europa Universalis IV from 2014. I'd love to load that up, and reset the world to July 2014 at the same time.
unlabelledView post →Playing Europa Universalis IV and just when I think I have a grasp on it, I spot a new button I haven't seen before. Welp, not going to just pretend I didn't see that...
unlabelledView post →... Sooo I started Europa Universalis IV yesterday Played from 2:45 pm to 11:30 pm Barely eat or got up for something else Had difficulties to fall asleep cause I was thinking about the different countries and wars and all. Maybe I should not play that game again :|
unlabelledView post →Just bought the entire DLC pack for Europa Universalis IV in advance of returning to the game for the first time since before covid. This is the strategy gamer equivalent of buying Brandon Sanderson's entire back catalogue. It feels good, but the chances of getting through it all are basically zero.
unlabelledView post →I'm feeling in the mood of playing Europa Universalis IV as the Netherlands after watching a documentary about Amsterdam's history but forgot how to play the game 😆 (previously logged 300 hours).

unlabelledView post →Nice to have another grand strategy game to absolutely suck the life juice out of me (in a good way). I'm 37 hours into Europa Universalis IV across 6 days of playing so far. I had my low points, but democratic Portugal is doing great and I'm even allied with Morocco now. Pretty game, too.
unlabelledView post →26. Have a Favorite Video Game? One I keep coming back to is FTL: Faster Than Light; iirc my steam library says I have 1300(+) hours in Europa Universalis IV and then almost 900 hours in Factorio, my 1st and 2nd most played games, respectively Idk, I can't say I have "one true favorite" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

unlabelledView post →Europa Universalis IV. It’s my all time favorite strategy game.
unlabelledView post →Europa Universalis IV really is the driest and blandest game ever created. It is the centrist liberal of the gaming world. Definitely fucks in missionary only.
unlabelledView post →Since the first like was from @profess0rjam.bsky.social I'm gonna say Europa Universalis IV. I have a shit ton of hours in this game, all relevant expansions... I love to play as Bohemia or Aragón

unlabelledView post →I think the last game I did anything on and it was just minor stuff was Europa Universalis IV?... shit I guess that was more than a few years ago 😅 It's been a while.
unlabelledView post →Oddly enough, what really helped me get my head around this was playing Crusader Kings II and Europa Universalis IV. In CKII, the player guides a dynasty. If the dynasty goes extinct, game over. In EUIV, the player guides a state, and the ruling dynasty can change without game over.

unlabelledView post →Remember when after a game had been out a while and you released a sequel, you would cut the price of the old one. Anyway Europa Universalis IV is like 13 years old and is still being sold for 50 dollars. Base game. I don't ever want to give your company money again.
