An interesting scene at the beginning of the movie Encanto a flashback references an unknown conflict in Colombia resulting in the death of the grandmother’s husband. What conflict Disney? Who were the bad guys Disney? Further research by an interested viewer will reveal that it was a civil war involving a right wing of rebels _backed by the US_, rose up against a leftist government.
