As someone from a snowy place, the idea that you’d mark this in the CO mtns with 1) white stones on the ground and 2) four-foot WHITE-TOPPED posts prevents suspension of disbelief.
unlabelledView post →Watched the movie Elevation. Been wanting to see as it was filmed here in Colorado. Enjoyed it. Interesting concept. Then at the end this happened. They were looking through a telescope. I mean, no one caught the fact the telescope was backwards. - #moviemistake #elevationmovie #colorado #astronomy

unlabelledView post →A Quiet Place opened the door for more "after the monster apocalypse" movies, and I seem to like most of them. a few months back it was Arcadian, and now we get Elevation, which I just watched / enjoyed.
unlabelledView post →I watched a film so you don’t have to: Amazon Prime: Elevation Aliens appear and wipe out 92% of humanity but seem unable to climb to altitudes over 8000ft. Hence humanity lives on mountains now but is running out of resources quickly. This daft premise sets stage for that minor avenger to go win
unlabelledView post →I am 4 min into Elevation, a movie by the Quiet Place producers which is apparently just ‘What if there were a different kind of implausibly dumb monsters’ and I’ve already said ‘that’s stupid’ out loud but it’s still better than watching some nazi fuckhead fart a speech out of his face
unlabelledView post →So, I'm watching a new movie on Amazon Prime called "Elevation" and it really a pile of old bollocks. The premise is that monsters have emerged from the earth, but they won't go above 8,000 feet. Not approximately, but absolutely exactly (Nice round number, monsters.) 1/2

unlabelledView post →Watching #Elevation and pondering how often I see kids with a disability in a movie, usually asthma, anxiety or a hearing impairment, or a dead kid/woman used as a character anchor, & how rarely I see men with a disability, or a dead man used to establish character. I mean, they exist. But rarely.
unlabelledView post →Elevation with Anthony Mackie was solid! A really nice scifi monster movie.
unlabelledView post →Hot Air Ballons have existed no later than 1783 … I noticed an odd lack of them (or any other aerial transport in the movie Elevation. Where people need to stay a certain height over sea level to be safe …
unlabelledView post →Monsters kill most of humanity but won't go higher than 8,000 feet, so survivors live on mountains. A dad travels to get medicine for his son. Will he survive vicious creatures? Decent Sci-fi/Horror film. Minus the closing credits, it's 1 hr/23 min. ELEVATION is on HBO Max but leaving soon.
unlabelledView post →I put on Elevation last night, starring Anthony Mackie and Morena Baccarin. An easy watch, a monster film with a ridiculous, but compelling premise that the writers feel no obligation to justify. Some thrilling set pieces, decent writing and a good cast make it worth your time. A bit of monster fun.

unlabelledView post →Looking to get high? There's little about Elevation, Amazon Prime's number one movie in the UK right now, to give you a lift. It's a derivative Quiet Place rip-off with no good new ideas of its own. It's brisk, it's 90 minutes, it looks expensive. Is that enough? film-authority.com/2025/02/10/e...

unlabelledView post →Rented the movie Elevation. Anthony Mackie & Morena Baccarin in a sci-fi monster b-movie with a bigger budget. Solid performances (especially Baccarin), enjoyable premise & a cool creature design. The script is shaky, & some bad 3rd act sci-fi tropes kills the solid setup. Some fun, but very dumb.

unlabelledView post →SKYLINES - Third in an ever-changing series that strains in its budget. ELEVATION - I think Anthony Mackie took this movie to keep his cardio up for Marvel. TAROT CURSE - A Tubi Original that has a kill that actually gave me a nightmare NOSFERATU (2024) - Stunning #LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched
unlabelledView post →2 minutes into the film Elevation. Let me get this straight. At 7,999 feet, they will kill you. At 8,000 feet, they will not or cannot? That is ... quite the evolutionary niche that benefits the species concerned NOT AT ALL. WTF?
unlabelledView post →I'm watching a movie called Elevation that says it's supposed to be in the Rocky mountains in Colorado and it looks like it might actually have been filled with the Rocky mountains in Colorado. Shocking.

unlabelledView post →Elevation is a mix of World War Z, War of the World and The Tomorrow War Honestly I had higher hopes for this film. Not saying I didn't enjoy it but just too many elements didn't make sense for me. I love anything Anthony Mackie!
unlabelledView post →Elevation was a pretty darned good movie. I had no idea it was in theaters. Can we get things to stay in the theater for longer than 2 weekends?

unlabelledView post →Anthony Mackie’s Elevation feels like a Sci-Fi Channel movie—solid concept but not groundbreaking. It has the vibe of a TV series pilot rather than a full-fledged film.
unlabelledView post →Elevation is an average sci-fi post-apocalypse film that doesn’t really deliver anything new. The creature designs feel generic and there’s not much in the way of a plot or even characters (it’s basically Anthony Mackie and Morena Baccarin for the entire film) Wouldn’t recommend #nw #filmsky

unlabelledView post →Do you enjoy plain, cozy, and simplistic sci-fi thrillers that don’t always make a huge amount of consistent sense? Then may I recommend Elevation, a film with “murder bugs” as one character termed it. It has all you need: reluctant hero, maverick scientist, sick child, mcguffan, and flat dialogue.
