neutral · AI labelView post →It feels like Den of Thieves 2 is the last Biden Era movie and Flight Risk is the first Trump Restoration Era movie, Lionsgate is chronicling the present moment with their release schedule
neutral · AI labelView post →Den of Thieves: Pantera (Gudegast, 2025) - cinema is back on the menu, ladies and gentlemen. The first word we hear in the movie is “Ronin” and we go from there. God Butler
positive · AI labelView post →In a functioning American film industry we would be getting a new DEN OF THIEVES, a new BEEKEEPER and a new THE ACCOUNTANT sequel every couple of years

neutral · AI labelView post →Here's the most random stat I researched: The last time Gerard Butler had a movie debut #1 in the US box office over a weekend, Lewis Hamilton won the drivers' championship that year (2019). Gerard Butler's Den of Thieves 2 was #1 in the box office this past weekend 👀

neutral · AI labelView post →Strange that they’re releasing the best film of 2025 (Den of Thieves 2: Pantera) in only the second week of the new year
positive · AI labelView post →Man, I just love DEN OF THIEVES 2: PANTERA so fucking much. I never needed it to be the first movie all over again & I’m so glad it does its own thing. Big Nick & Donnie 4 EVA.
positive · AI labelView post →A film review headline so fantastic and after my own heart, it has inspired me to watch the first Den of Thieves and then get these hungover buns to the theater ASAP for part 2. Well done @thefilmstage.bsky.social editors. thefilmstage.com/den-of-thiev...
neutral · AI labelView post →A tremendous pleasure to chat with Marshall about Den of Thieves for a bit and really dive into what makes that movie (and its sequel) so special
neutral · AI labelView post →If Den of Thieves is Dirtbag scuzzy Heat then Pantera is dirt bag Ronin mixed with a sprinkle of Miami Vice. Such a different film from the first but actually tops it but doubling down on the characters, chemistry and heist. Butler is on another level and Jackson delivers in spades. 5/5
positive · AI labelView post →One of my favorite genres of movies is the Studio Ripoff, where a major motion picture studio blatantly rips off an older movie. Karate Kid is a ripoff of Rocky. Cobra is a ripoff of Dirty Harry. Den of Thieves is a ripoff of Heat. What’s your favorite Studio Ripoff?
neutral · AI labelView post →A nynew Gerry Butler movie is traditionally a public holiday for the Scottish nation. This year, St Gerard's Day falls on a weekend, as we Scots lap up Den of Thieves: Pantera dropping on Amazon Prime, one of Gerry's growing portfolio of gallus action movies 4/5. film-authority.com/2025/04/25/d...
positive · AI labelView post →For my fellow film/series fans who need a reprieve from reality, the following were def worth the watch: -Den of Thieves 2 (I’m forever a HEAT fan though) -Arcane season 2 -Slow Horses -Day of the Jackal I’m also a fan of re-watching The Newsroom, the Diplomat, & Below Deck (love that shit) 😂
positive · AI labelView post →If I sit down to DEN OF THIEVES 2, I’m not in BRUTALIST headspace. Why would I want to do that? That sounds awful. Understand what a movie wants to do, and judge it on how successful it is at that, not some elevated artistic standard that it can’t possibly meet.

neutral · AI labelView post →We should be getting a new Den of Thieves movie every couple of years, it's good for the cinematic ecosystem to have this kind of b-movie made regularly www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie...

neutral · AI labelView post →DEN OF THIEVES 2 is pretty darn good but be forewarned it is only incidentally a heist movie.
neutral · AI labelView post →During Den of Thieves 2 I thought about Ronin, Tenet, the Miami Vice movie, Rififi, The Flintstones, Before Sunset and The 15:17 to Paris (complimentary)
neutral · AI labelView post →- Why this weekend was far below the same in 2020 - Den of Thieves 2 tops with a solid $15.5 million debut - 'Sonic the Hedgehog 3' is the first live-action video game film to top $200 million domestically - 'Nosferatu' is racing up the list of "actually a horror movie" vampire movies -- And More!
neutral · AI labelView post →I think Gerard Butler and O’Shea Jackson Jr. should totally set DEN OF THIEVES 3 at the Louvre. I would buy your ticket to that movie, not just mine.
unlabelledView post →Love that @lionsgate.com included an unrated Director’s cut of DEN OF THIEVES on the 4K collection. This absolutely rules. Man, Gerry B’s “Big Nick” is just getting so hardcore DIVORCED in this movie. And this is top tier Butler too by the way. He’s great.
unlabelledView post →I was a little, um, preoccupied last week, so I’m just getting around to sharing my review of DEN OF THIEVES 2: PANTERA. As one of DEN OF THIEVES' strongest soldiers, it brings me no joy to say that the sequel does not have the juice. In @latimes.com: www.latimes.com/entertainmen...

unlabelledView post →One thing that rocks about Den of Thieves is it's ultimately an ACAB movie, Butler's Big Nick is a despicable cop, a terrible father and a worthless husband and he's the "hero"
unlabelledView post →Also, saw Den of Thieves 2: Pantera tonight. Wrote some thoughts on it. No spoilers. Just some overall thoughts on the film and what worked for me, what worked in the first one, and why it's a bit different than the first film. I liked the movie! Had a good time! letterboxd.com/samvecenie/f...

unlabelledView post →The Gerard Butler heist film “Den of Thieves 2: Pantera” topped the box office charts over the weekend with a big debut.
unlabelledView post →I wish I could be part of the whole DEN OF THIEVES thing but I’ve never made it through the first film. “What if HEAT, but stupid” isn’t much of a selling point for me. Don’t we already have THE TOWN for that?
unlabelledView post →Up now on my free tier is another revival of an old piece about one of my favorite films, Den of Thieves. Always really loved this essay. There’s so much at the heart of this film that gets overlooked. As always, if you dig this, please share and sub! bit.ly/4880xHS

unlabelledView post →Watching Den of Thieves because Gerard Butler in this movie is a genuinely terrific PSA against smoking, excessive drinking, fast food only diets and wearing a leather jacket past the age of 30.
unlabelledView post →Someone have me on their action film centric podcast to talk about tactical Genius of Den of Thieves.
unlabelledView post →MOVIE REVIEW: Den of Thieves Almost lost me with how much of a dick measuring contest it was. REALLY fun movie overall
unlabelledView post →“Hit that breach. Get some!” Final film watched during my weekend away with mates is David Ayer’s SABOTAGE (2014). Makes DEN OF THIEVES (which I really like BTW) look like a Jean Pierre Melville’s RED CIRCLE. And based on an Agatha Christie novel, of all things.
unlabelledView post →Second Character that'll be in the 2025 Movie Thread piece is Den of Thieves 2: Pantera's Donnie Wilson, played by O'Shea Jackson Jr. .....You guys can put "Elijah The Cartoonist drawing Ice Cube's Son" in that list of "What I didn't Expect in 2025".
