Also, Disney WANTED this... they wanted this movie to flop so they can further approve IP branded sequels and possibly eat up the studio. Sorry for the insider rant, just... man.

Both were designed for mass appeal & failed. Luca and Turning Red are the best post-Lasseter Pixar movies by far. Sweet stories, original ideas, unique styles.

Director Peter Sohn based the story on his life as a 2nd generation Korean-American immigrant & what it’s like to be in an interracial relationship in an immigrant family.
