negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a game that has some extremely genius design buried under terrible quality of life and general gameplay issues. Apart from the obnoxious registration upon first startup, there is a lot of good and a lot of bad here. I've never seen faction design this inspired, especially in terms of base building/space management. Vehicles are modular, based on what faction you play you might need different armor or weapons, and it's all just really interesting to play. Factions are radically different…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Earth 2160 feels like the kind of sequel that looked at Earth 2150, nodded, and then decided the best way forward was to strip away everything interesting while wrapping the leftovers in a confusing UI. It’s technically more advanced, sure, but advanced in the way Windows Vista was advanced over XP.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game feels outdated with poor graphics and clunky controls, making it less enjoyable and frustrating to play in modern times.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It has nice ideas. Every faction has different base building mechanics, tech trees (except aliens) and you can customize your units (well, most of them). They did try to make each faction play differently. For example. the Eurasian Dynasty has a central industrial hub that expands using a series of pipes and tend to have an industrial, rugged look, the Lunar Corporation uses modular towers and have a more sleek sci-fi look with an emphasis on energy weapons, the UCS are all robots and also…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Earth, The Final Frontier.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unique game. A bit of a tough learning curve and a lot to understand when you're starting off. If you've got the time and really are interested in playing it then give it a shot, however I'd skip as of now and play a variety of other similar newer titles.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rough gem, and one of my favourite games of all time. I wish they made another game in the series.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I first heard about Earth 2160 on YouTube and thought it would be interesting to try it out some day. After finishing the campaign I doubt I'll keep playing the game. For the first time I played it only now, which may be too late for such a game. Nonetheless, I liked the plot and completed the campaign with pleasure, learned how to play each fraction, but in the end this RTS couldn't interest me that much. I can recommend buying it on sale and try to dive into it, that would worth it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When the game starts it wont let you type in the product key due to an error, this game need to be taken down from steam.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolute garbage. Requires key entry after launch but then you can't even type it in. Random keystroke recognition. I got as far as entering the first digit.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Earth 2160 is running, ATTENTION! Register the product by phone, copy in the data you are given later. (Because keyboard input doesn't work when registering the product.) Then enjoy the game, btw. there are mods, even RTX mods. The game had a community that is/was active to this day. Works terrible under new windows... Earth 2160 läuft, ACHTUNG! Die Produkt Registrierung per Telefon machen, die Daten, die Euch gesagt werden später reinkopieren. (Da Tastatureingabe bei dem Produkt…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →maybe the worst writing in any media I've ever seen. 10/10 would recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't get it, I paid for the game but yet still waiting on an email for a cd key to play the game. I hope I don't have to wait too long for steam assistance..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →an underrated classic, it's still worth playing and looks quite nice for a 2006 game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome unique game! Awesome gameplay, multiplay vs AI! P.S. For some reason, the game is criticized for having to register and write a first and last name. The game of 2006, then the world was different, and registration in the software was like this - if you are now doing a negative review for this, think about it, why are you doing this? You can write any name and surname, no one is interested anymore. Better play and enjoy the most unique and interesting gameplay.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Earth 2160, on its own, is a broken vestige of an RTS from the mid-2000s with units that difficult to distinguish from another without microscope, unofficial patches to get the video game to operate relatively smoothly on modern devices, terrible voice acting and dialogue, and crackbrained Friendly AI that will allow enemies to mow them down due to the building they are hunkered down in lowering their firing range. And just because the screenshots look high-resolution suspiciously compared to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unique RTS. Too bad you need community mods for the game to even boot on modern systems.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overview RTS set in space with 4 unique factions. 4 campaigns, skirmish and online multiplayer. Requires cd-key activation. User registration is optional. Art & Graphics ★☆☆☆☆ Retro-futuristic art style. Set centuries into the future, the technology however looks like something from the space race during the Cold War. Terrible graphics, but for a 2005 game it is to be expected. Roughly the quality of Unreal engine 2. Maps and atmosphere are dark and gloomy, which don't go well with the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →crap of a dinosaur
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →old game very good ,engine can not good ,not beautiful but gameplay good
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Keeps the wolves of boredom at bay for a few hours. Good gameplay, if somewhat routine.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It takes a little to get the controls, but it's full of action, a bit strategic and nicely explosive ;) It even runs under Linux Mint (22.3 Zena currently...)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Although this game contains unique elements of the RTS genre, I simply cannot recommend it in this state. Make the game compatible with newer operating systems, make a graphics upgrade then I could recommend it. To have to use fan-made fixes just to be able to type, making it impossible to even enter the product key, that's unacceptable! I will not comment on the AI much, I suppose it has been OK for its time, and the campaign, the story is decent, but there are moments where it's quite…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Earth 2160 is a competent RTS that accidentally revealed our collective death wish—a simulation where we practice managing humanity's extinction rather than preventing it. Its greatest achievement isn't gameplay but prophecy: machines that kill their creators, humans fighting over scraps, and the cosmic joke that even in our fictional apocalypse, we couldn't imagine cooperation over conflict.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Earth 2160 is clunky and not at all fun. Not recommended
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3rd party DRM is broke and wont let you play. Was a dated but still fun RTS though.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not Recommended
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still ... years later... one of the best RTSs
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Currently one of the very worst games in my entire collection because of 15 years old (or whatever) DRM (so I will assume it's dual DRM combined with steams basic) that is still attached to this game. I paid like 35 canadian cents for this game, and I would of given it back to them if it was free. Only reason I still keep it is because eventually the company will put its head in a better place and fix this patch. Until they do though, AVOID this game like the plague, at least all the other…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rating: 8.4/10 Earth 2160 is a science-fiction real-time strategy game that combines large-scale battles, resource management, base building, and a futuristic setting. Players can choose between several different factions, each with their own units, technologies, and playstyles, and must manage their economy while building an army capable of defeating opposing forces. The game offers a fairly traditional RTS structure, but its futuristic setting and wide range of units give it a distinct…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A surprisingly enjoyable experience with satisfying gameplay and a nice atmosphere. I found myself playing longer than expected and always wanting to complete one more objective.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good for collecting cards
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →multiplayer with hamachi still works! played with my bro.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game doesn't hold your hand. It throws you onto Mars and says 'survive'. And honestly? I miss that kind of game design. It respects the player.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought the game just for the multiplayer, but what the ♥♥♥♥ did I get, the multiplayer doesn't work, doesn't connect, I give it a minus!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very strange, unique game which is worth a playthrough. It has a lot of rough edges and some balance trouble but overall it was a memorable (partly because of it's often strange world) and enjoyable experience that people who're fine with more obscure, non-standard games will probably enjoy, especially for the low pricetag.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best RTS
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Somethin special
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →why do I have to register with so much info
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →How the ♥♥♥♥ did I get this game and why do I have nearly 3 hours in it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →love the factions just which ai would fight for longer rather than send small pickets to fight you
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lets be honest. If your not a die hard fan of RTS, do not buy. Not a bad game, however as time goes on, well rust grows, and only the true lovers of the genre are willing to work on a piece of history.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Needs to much info to play. Not my kind of game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No one is going to read this comment so i'm just going to say that i'm gay.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3rd party DRM - stay far far away.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →super annoying, why do i have to register to get the full game when I buy it on steam. Very lazy by the developers....
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Multiplayer doesn't work. It may run through private vpn, but it sucks, it is 2022 :(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →card prices are nice for this
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dunno if it's the complexity or simply nostalgia but I love that game. Imagine TIberian Sun's mood with talent trees for each unit type, and multiple armies.
