Building stuff requires you to move your units away to create HQ building. Controls are done with mouse but map panning is a bit slow so it's better to use arrows. Visuals are ramped a bit from the original DOS version but still can't see too much as everything appears to be super small (no zooming in). Music was ok until suddenly it turning into some kind of jazz... Overall nice intro but…

Well, I've never played Earth 2140, only its demo back in 1997 as a kid. [url=en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Command_%26_Conquer]Command & Conquer has already been out for a long time and [url=en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Command_%26_Conquer:_Red_Alert]Red Alert was on its way. Compared to them, Earth 2140 looked stunning with its detailed SVGA (640x480)…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my most beloved childhood classics. This rts has very Terminator-like feel which is probably the reason why I always liked it so much :) Also for its time very nice graphics. Sadly the HD version indeed has broken AI so enemy never send their units to attack your base and sometimes they also don't produce new units. Thankfully there is fan made patch that repairs the game to it's original form called "Earth 2140 unofficial patch" which is also very easy to apply since it has its own…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Original game is fun and amazing. Steam version does not work properly on modern Windows. If you can run it in an old dos box or something. It apparently will work?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →0/10: How can you even focus on playing with such soundtrack pumped in your headphones? Really! Game is cool, right off my memories, glad having it on Steam as well
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No option to change volume or anything except resolution. HUD is just too small on bigger resolutions and no way to change it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What's your "no one but me remembers" game? Earth 2140 – probably some remember it, but usually people think your talking about C&C when you describe it

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I kinda half recommend this. Hardly a story, barely any voice acting. There's no tutorial I guess? So I have no idea what I am doing or suppose to do. I didn't play this series way back in the day, I was interested because its another RTS game and I don't mind it being older. The music is kinda funny, from old school porn smooth jazz to beach like music lol. The AI doesn't seem to know what it wants to do either which makes completing missions a chore. I got this on a sale for a couple of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Earth 2140 might have been a great game back then, but it isn’t anymore. It is outdated and you notice it in many aspects. Don’t waste your money on this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →T-100 is back to destroy our gaming world called Steam. Lets stop it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My mind kept comparing it with the old Command & Conquer games and in my opinion it is nowhere near there.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Run of the mill RTS. As generic as it can be.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The original 1997 Earth 2140 was very, very advanced for its time; the jewel in the crown was a variable and adaptive AI that could be more challenging and unpredictably cunning than even some human players.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rating: 8.1/10 Earth 2140 is a classic real-time strategy game set in a post-apocalyptic future where rival factions battle for the Earth's remaining resources. Players build bases, gather materials, research advanced technologies, and command large armies across a campaign filled with strategic missions and tactical combat. Despite its age, the game delivers a satisfying RTS experience with deep resource management and faction variety. While the dated interface and older graphics may require…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A classic real-time strategy game with deep gameplay, compelling storylines, and well-designed units that still hold up and offer strategic challenges.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is where it all started. Before 3D, before the fancy graphics, there was just pure strategy. A classic RTS.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do yourself a favor and just play Command & Conquer instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I could not get this game to play on my modern system. AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor (3.70 GHz), RAM 64.0 GB, AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A classic RTS with two unique factions, diverse units and missions.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Broken AI, unplayable. Don't buy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A modern masterpiece. Outstanding animations, a creative, yet surprisingly grounded story and great graphics - you're seriously missing out if you don't play this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not Recommended
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to play this so bad... but the interface controls need a big overhaul. Left click is used for everything in the game. You can accidentally do one thing while actually intending to do another constantly. Playing this game makes you realize just how much in the RTS genre has been standardized for ease of play, and just how hard it is to play an RTS when the interface is done horribly. Would definitely be interested in playing the game if the AI was better and they fixed the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is not bad as the previous reviewer has said. The graphics are sure outdated and after a while you'll learn all the tactics to beat the enemies. I wouldn't call this game a waste of time (like Darksiders), so you can play it. Pickens approves!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →GOOD GAME but its there is no tutorial what to do... yes.. control your army, but how to build and how to complete the missions, its not. took me around 10 min to complete first mission
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →EARTH 2140 Where is the back story? This game craves a proper intro and explanation to what is happening... Overall an older style RTS, graphics and sound are ok, music is odd at times. I can see this being great at the time of release, interesting base building and structures, I think a tutorial would go a long way but I figured everything out in 5 mins. Shy of 1 your game play and not once was my base attacked, I wonder if the AI is programed to do so.. Fun for the price, I will be…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't buy this game!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I used to play this as a kid and thought of this as top class RTS at the time, but now 20 years later I am still amazed how well this game aged, the graphics, the gameplay, for any RTS lover this is a timeless masterpiece.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A true strategy for post-apocalyptic fans! Battles for resources and survival feel like chess in hell. It’s so interesting that even robots start believing in victory!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Full Video Review/Deep Dive Here: https://youtu.be/8rNe5_8GyyY tl;dw Wish there was a neutral rating, a flawed product of it's time. Still enjoyable for what it is, if you have high tolerance to Jank. Mostly worth praising for the groundwork it laid for 2150.
