38 of 38 · most liked firstI ended up getting the worst ending on my playthrough and quite frankly, I was glad to be over with the game. This is a game that has a great concept and drags it out in the longest way possible. All you are basically doing is grinding points and hoping that the story will progress, which it rarely does. At least in a meaningful way. What I liked Story I liked the concept of the story. You're introduced to the plot-twist quite early on and it makes you want to find out how things will end.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game shows. That many bad reviews say nothing about quality. Yes the quality of the screens is not so good like the best, but i think it could be 5,5-5 of 7 billion never reach this points of artist skills. Its has is own charme and dont feel like a mass product. Next the way is not so funny only few days you can read really of 90 days, sure weekends are done fast choice 2 things and rest you only need to find out what you need to get to the chapters and read the few important story…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This first otome visual novel from roseVeRte features a female protagonist Yukina Kudou, a student attending Serizawa High School with her best friend Nao and a fellow classmate Youji Kataoka. At the school, Yukina became the assistant to the school principal and her foster father Kouichi Serizawa with a strange request to become Youji's girlfriend and report on Youji's actions to Kouichi. Over a period of 3 months, Yukina (and the player) will manage her studies and relationship with Youji and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Incredibly ugly arts ....
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's way too repetitive. Obviously I am not saying that about the gameplay, lol. More so in the actual dialog. The only changes are within the events of the story progression. Otherwise everything else is exactly the same. To me it's a major buzz kill. Which makes going through the game a second time even harder... considering how short the game is in general. The story is a bit different than your average visual novel, but in the end you're still forcing yourself through the same content just…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Indie visual novel. Follow the mostly simple choices to simple ends. The story... Well... Without giving anything away, all I can say is it is typical of the genre. I found it a bit creepy, which it probably is not supposed to be, and incestuous. As you play through the story remains mostly the same with just a slight change of the lead beau. The sound was the highlight at first and it is a shame they did not include more songs. The graphics; backgrounds good, avatars okay for the most part,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't understand why dUpLicity begins with a simulation game. It's dull, tedious stat grinding, and you're thrown into it before you even get a proper introduction to the story and characters -- i.e., the reason you might put up with such obvious padding. I guess if you've played the [url=http://roseverte.net/duplicity_free/]original freeware version of the game you'd be familiar with the basics, but Beyond the Lies is a separate game and should be able to stand on its own. Once you get past…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Odd arts, but awesome story and great OST.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not worth buying/playing. Actually thinking of having it removed from my Steam library by Steam support staff. Amateurish art with questionable art choices... such wtf is up with those eyes? Game play is simple VN with a rather ungainly.... training? system in it. Appears to use bought/cooked reviews in the positive reviews (Example: Weird. and a thumbs up? Seems very classical based on news items like…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got this from a game bundle years ago. Not a good game even by the lower standards of visual novels; bad drawings, poor writing and an overall pointless experience. Avoid.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Rest or study?" Decent VN with 4 different routes and many endings. Quite not that horrible like the East Tower series. You are a female student at university involved into an study experiment. For 3 consectuive months you can decide daily if you want to study/rest/develop relationships. Then comes a short epilog of 3 chapters which clearsup all the endings. Will you reveal the true story or just keep on resting all the time? http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=595943267
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short and quite boring.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'll open this by saying that this game get's a lot of bad rep that it doesn't deserve. From playing roseverte's games, there's always been an intriguing plot that catches me by surprise, and continues to be memorable. This one is the most memorable for me. If you tried playing the game and found the initial stat raising bit to be irritating, please, follow the guide, the first time you get a characters route, you'll probably never need to read a guide again unless you attempt the harem ending.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I must say, i quite enjoyed this game. Although the plot is pretty much easy to guess after doing only one route, it's still fun to play through them all and see various viewpoints of the same story. Which is, in my opinon, fairly interesting and original. Enough to stay in my memory for some time, i think. Characters were... okay, i guess. I don't think they were very memorable or unique, and i have neither negative nor positive feelings towards them. They fullfilled their role, and that's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I found myself really enjoying roseVeRte’s games. This one shares a few things with their other games: the art isn’t so good (which is okay because the story IS GOOD. At least it’s way better than a lot of other VNs around here), and there’s a plot twist. I must say, I found this story rather intriguing; not sure if in a good way tho… But I played all the routes to make sure I wasn’t missing anything. To be really honest, I thought that it was kinda creepy the relationship between Yukina and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are a bunch of Japanese looking games on Steam now, that are actually low quality imitations trying to cash in on the "weeaboo bucks" with low quality knock-off games that try so hard to seem like they are authentically Japanese in origin. This is not one of those games, it is actually Japanese in origin. It's just as bad as, and even worse than many of, the crappy knockoffs though.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like this game :) Art style is different - but it isn`t a bad thing. I finished only Youji`s route so far - I'm going to keep playing and see the other endings. Recently I play a lot of otome games, and this does not differ from other titles (except Cheritz games which are the best I've played so far). If you like otomes should play this game too :) For better recommendation for game read post from CallistaWhite - after reading this recommendation I bought this game and I do not regret. thx…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For those who dislike the game it released almost 10 years ago, sure it looks not that fashion as all other otome games released recently. Repetitive dialog is how the story goes unfortunately but the skip button is right at the bottom. The game is about clone and AI, the east tower series talks about visual world/VR, if AI has emotions, transgender, etc., I honestly amazed by how advanced thinking the Roseverte is. Not mentioning the great OP ( also the how to fool series's OP made by Rose)…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short game you can finish in a night depending how lucky you are choosing options and how fast your read. I highly suggest just... not playing this game blind. úse a guide. Im not sure why but i found it very hard to get endings without following the guides to a T.... AM I DESTINED FOR MISERY..!?!? Anyways after all the media ive consumed it was pretty sterotypical but still fun, i feel like an old bat at this point haaaaa music?: i love it! sounds 2000s techno heh heh art: lacking but its…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've meant to write a review for this game for a while now. I really was disappointed in it even after I was able to manage to get some of the endings. I wasn't eager to get all or even most of them but the happy ones at least. When I first played it I was done with it in a matter of minutes. Disappointing given the fact that I'm used to much better games from roseverte but not only that but it's really to expensive for that. I either expect a hella good game or at least more playtime. I got…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A recommendation for any hardcore otome game fan, however it is nothing special and can become boring rather easily. Without a guide on how to actually reach certain plot points or get certain endings, the constant stat grinding can become frustrating really fast and I often felt like I was simply going nowhere with what I was doing. The story doesn't always make sense and even though some parts are cute, others are almost borderline grotesque? Anyone who likes mystery and slightly darker…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall the story was pretty interesting and unique. I didn't like the grinding as it felt very unnecessary and detrimental to the gameplay. But once you get past that (look up one of the walkthrough guides!) it becomes a proper visual novel. The premise is kind of creepy but not as creepy as it could be. There's a lot of potential for existential crises and identity issues that gets glossed over in favor of forced romance. I didn't regret the time I spent playing this though - it was quite…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favorite RoseVerte game along with the Cafe 0 series, despite so many ppl don't like it. I guess it just RoseVerte's style: the story more like pure visual novel than an otome game. Which I love it very much. The story kind of interesting though I hate Yukina and Kou so much... Kouji deserved better and the music just fit the game well enough. I love the OP and ED song. I love that we could see the other characters POV, too. The entire story suit the tittle "Lie" perfectly. The art…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you enjoy otome games with a dark twist to them, it is a good game and I would recommend it. People have reviewed saying it's really repetitive so here's a tactic: You can hold down Ctrl to skip already read parts, so if you played it at least once, it takes about 2 minutes to skip over the schedule part if you know what you're going to choose, so it's really not that bad. Also, I just want to say it's true that the game is a little creepy and dark at times, so if you don't want that,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Grate story plot twist. the story would take me a lot longer if I hadn't played it before steam so i just spiked for cards and stuff. The art was okay, its not the best and its not the worse.if you only play visual novels for art then you may be turned off. The only thing that I hated was that if you made one mistake in stats you could screw up the ending you were going for in the guide.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it was not fun at all to me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Repetitive and too many contradictions compared to previous ones.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I cant see why anyone would rate this game negativ, it has a very nice soundtrack, great visuals, a deep story and interesting manga characters with very nicely shaped boobs. On top of this, almost all characters have nice Haircuts with cool looking colours like Pink,Green or even Blue. The only thing is game maybe lacks is Robots and lasers. Overall a very good Game, well worth the Money - great Triple A Developers should take a look at this game how to make everything right. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game really sucks.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →*This game has a free demo. duplicity is a nice sci-fi story about an old man that likes a girl too much. Suspiciously too much... Gameplay The gameplay, as others have noted, is a mixed bag. This is a visual novel, so this review starting with gameplay means you know something's up. It takes inspiration from dating sim flash games, where you click on buttons and see numbers go up. In those kinds of games, you have a limited number of action points per day, so there's a cycle of "press Work…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Glad I got it on special not my taste. Dialogue for characters when you click on them to see them is the same every time . I normally don't judge until I've given the game a fair chance but I can't this time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love otome, vns, and rpgs. I got the game on sale, thinking it had an interesting concept. Observing some guy you're not really interested in. Different twist from the usual otome plots. But the execution could be improved upon. I have nothing against grinding stats, but we're hit with this early on before the game really starts. If you want a game like this that does the grinding and stats right, play Magical Diary. The grinding kills the game. It's repititive. You're grinding in hopes…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Visual novel, I don't like it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had to play for "secret garbage santa". The game fulfilled its purpose and I need a drink.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow, I'm kind of flabbergasted... The good: The theme song is kinda cool. The bad: Everything else. This can be a very short 'game' - I finished it in 30 minutes and got the "Common Route" ending. There is something off about all of this. The art is amateurish, with the worst thing being the eyes that are just...odd. The story is confusing and doesn't seem to remain consistent throughout. The protagonist is weirdly submissive to the point of fetishism. The game play is choosing from 4-5…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is so much potential for this game, but it is lacking in many ways, like the conversations between each character gets tiring after you keep reading them over and over again. I would give this game 4/10.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tags: Adventure - VN - Visual Novel Note: Otome Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Mediocre to average visual novel about being a lab assistant and having to romance boys mostly centered around having to fill activity gauges and managing a rest gauge. Scripting can get broken, triggering things out of order. Certain dialogues are bugged like never having anything to report at your monthly meetings. Hard deadlines to reach with certain stats in certain gauges to…
