58 of 58 · most liked firstA simple bullet hell style rogue lite. Good variety of enemies, lots of power ups to collect, and many weapons to unlock. Combat is a bit basic and mostly involves kiting and dodging but not terrible. Even has support for multiplayer so over all not a bad little VR title.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Reviewed using HTC Vive Pro 🗡️ Dungeon Crawler you can play with others 👨🧑 Over 80 new voxel rooms also includes 30 Steam Achievements and Unlockable custom cosmetic outfits 👑 ✔️ Now has Tutorial Room ✔️ Underwent huge locomotion update! ✔️ Improved & Rebalanced combat/melee system ✔️ Voxel Art is beautiful
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun. But (I cannot lie, they are big buts (sorry)): No tutorial whatsoever. Not even for locomotion. Speaking of which, there are four methods for moving, one of which reminds me of the telepath movement from Waltz of the Wizard, but not as well done. I tried them all out and ended up sticking with teleport - you move so slowly otherwise. Balance issues. Maybe I just got lucky but on my fourth or fifth game, which I am still playing, having chosen a crossbow and shield in the starting room…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am following the development for a long time now and big props to the developers for working with the community, they definitely care about the game. The game itself is really fun to play, be warned here: it is not easy. You can unlock different items which can be found in the next run, classical roguelike. These items help a lot and there are TONS. You can find them in the lobby and if you enter f.e. the Buffs room the first time, its overwhelming! There are also little minions which follow…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To be perfectly honest I had some pretty high hopes for this game. It could just be whart I happen to like but I had a lot of issues with the sword and shield. I died over 9 times in the first 30 minutes of the game then refunded it. I couldn't stand the fact that the only way I could make it through a single room was by using a gun and constantly running away. If anyone full understands how you are suppose to use the sword and shield its possible my mind would change entirely. I am not huge on…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers On normal, this game is super easy, until it isn't. So this is a procedurally generated dungeon crawler for VR. If you keep your expectations low, this is an absolute gem. There's no story. You basically collect coins & loot and kill stuff. You do have to overlook the flaws in combat. The best way to start is with the crossbow. Things are a bit too easy though .... until you get to the boss. Then it feels like you're shooting nerf arrows…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Started the game. Grab a sword and shield. Walked down a hallway and found a shop keeper. Old man wanted a lot of money. I though to myself "can I kill him?" Swung sword. Old man killed me. So much fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love rogue-likes and I love VR. This is the perfect blend. I've messed around with some multiplayer to this point and it worked perfect. I haven't quite figured out the sword and board combat yet but I run ranged at this point. I highly recommend this game and look forward to the many hours I'll pour into it. https://youtu.be/iaxI9FzlaeM
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →+Fun +Roguelike +Multiplayer +Very Polished -Not enough people playing this 5/5 This is a wonderful example on how a Dungeon Delving, hack/slash, loot fest type game should be. I'm quite shocked this game doesn't have many players. It definitely needs more. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sword Fighting, Shield Blocking, Gun Shooting, Spell Casting, Minion Grabbing, Buddy Team up bad guy basher - can't say enough good stuffs. Absolutely my favorite Dungeon Crawling Rogue Like game right now. Very fun with friends and dev's seem like they're producing content an updates regularly. Can't wait to see how this game progresses! highly recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun game. The levels are procedurally generated which keeps it fresh. The graphics are simple (voxel style), but it looks great. It feels hard enough to be challenging but not so hard you'll want to rage quit. I haven't tried coop but I'm sure that would be a lot fun. If you like rogue likes and dungeon crawlers that are pickup and play, this is for you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A simple, fun, easy to get a feel for dungeon crawler in vr, it is a roguelike and is a bit difficult until you can a handle on it (especially for someone who has never played any games before) so the game might benefit from an extra floor before the actual 1st floor that can be used to get a handle on the game with weaker enemies, because this game would be awesome for demoing vr if it weren't for the fact that you have to play for about 30 minutes to an hour before you get a handle on the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tried to like this game, and its spread of weapons and upgrades are interesting enough, but in multiplayer you share everything, which makes it brutally hard. no real guiding system, very little HUD, in fact next to none. its a simple game that a few people who know each other might enjoy, but so basic graphically that it renders poorly. I would not recommend this game to anyone looking for a fun expansive rpg to play together, this is more of a D&D where you start fresh in every game. all…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the game, great look and feel. Awesome for multiplayer dungeon crawling, the best of its kind at the moment! Better multi player experience then dungeon knight(in my opinion at least). Love to see new dungeon types as it expands! Great job guys!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dungeons & Treasure VR sets the bar for the most enjoyable + replayable rogue-like currently available in VR. Whether you're dungeon crawling alone or with friends it is certainly bound to draw you in with its many enemies, weapons, powerups, and mostly-polished aesthetics/ambiance. In its current form the game is great fun, and knowing personally how well the devs at SDC Ventures respond to bug reports and suggestions for improvements this game has the potential to become one of the best VR…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If it's on sale for maybe $5 then sure, give it a go! But for full price this game isn't worth it. Each level gets repetitive fairly quickly and the visuals aren't very interesting. There is not much depth as you can't view your stats or power-ups like other games in the same genre allow you to. Public multiplayer is dead but you can play with friends. However, when I did the voice chat only worked in the lobby, not when playing the game. Last update was in 2019 so don't expect anymore.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a very interesting game. It has a Risk or Rain kind of feel with how you can stack items and things gets kind of nuts while having the fun rouge like element to it. But a massive, MASSIVE issue is it's frame rates. It dips frames by the time you get to the 4th floor. When you're trying to kill stuff it's barely playable. This game needs a ton of under the hood fixes to stop it's lag issues. From my guess it stems from damage calculations. In it's current state, I can't recommend it.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played on the Oculus Rift with Touch Awesome game with huge dungeons and a great melee system, but there is still room for improvement. It would be nice to be able to teleport to the nearest discovered waypoint if there aren't any enemies around, as the corridors are quite long and not all dead ends contain a teleport back. I feel like there should be some sort of way to see which buffs you currently have (and how many). Ranged weapons have a weird offset (like their pitch is too high) when…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice game, fun 2 play so far! got 2 the first boss and he ripped my apart...soon i will be back MAXIMILiAN BLADEBANE! i love rogue like dungeon crawler and finally here is one in VR, good job. as a lefti my hands are changed. the right hand is on the left side and the left hand is on the right side. I use Oculus Rift. Doesnt matter anymore when u picked up ur gear or weapons in both hands and play, but a little bit weird for my brain in the main hall. an option to switch hands would be great=)…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Picked this up on launch and could not be happier with it, Have succesfully finished the first floor and am expecting to put many many hours into it. If you like VR and rogue like games, this a definite must have for any VR enthusiast. The developers listen to the community and have been very quick in respondding to bugs and suggestions from us. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyZmCscLGvk
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like it. It is a very simple game, but that is a good thing. It is easy to get into and to pick back up after awhile. There is a lot of stuff to unlock which means a lot of playtime if you want all of it. I have unlocked about 10 items in the 3 or 4 hours I have put into it so far. The combat is pretty generic.... but it is good. I am playing on a beast of a PC and I have had no issues with framerate so far. Movement is a little slower than I would like, but it is sooth and things move…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Would be a fun game if the controls weren't wonky and people played multiplayer, I tried to play with randoms in public games, and there's not a soul in any lobby. Game play isn't even fun to be real.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My experience was playing co-op with a buddy and it was a fun time. Pretty rough around the edges but it's overall a very fun and satisfying VR Roguelike.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great little VR game, with a real feeling of adventuring in a voxel world. The game has multiple methods of locomotion, quite a few different weapons and persistent unlocks (you unlock items to find in the dungeons between games with specific in-game currency). The game mechanics are simple and quite intuitive, at least to me. The inventory management can be a little bit awkward sometimes though. As the game is procedurally generated, sometimes you get an easy dungeon, or a super-difficult…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →no controls section to learn how to move or snap rotate neither is there a tutorial showing any of this. couldn't figure out how to add snap rotation. Refunded.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →for those who were looking for a rouglike in vr like i did, search no longer this is your game! from weapons variety over passive and active buffs to companions this game has it. i already unlocked the shotgun and its so much fun to try new stuff in this game. the only downside in my opinion is the melee combat wich is a bit too hard but i will see how it turns out when i have a few more weapons and buffs unlocked. all in all i would recommend this game, especially to every rouglike fan and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I honestly must say this is one really damn good game. Very challenging, but once you learn how to play it makes fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Although this is already a somewhat old virtual reality game, the developer remains committed to it, regularly releasing updates. It was one of the first games I bought when I got my Lenovo Explorer, which unfortunately came without motion controllers. I had to improvise with some PS Move controllers (not the best option), but it allowed me to enjoy this game, even if in a rather limited way. If you like roguelike games, I think this one is well worth buying, especially when it's on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Does not work - can't join games - using virtual desktop
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You only need to play a bit to know the movement was implented terribly. Why can't you use both the Snap rotation and forwards and backwards in the thumbstick to move. In either mode the opposite buttons become useless so why is the trackpad and snap rotation 1 setting or trackpad and smooth rotation. this needs to be a change.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game made me Physically Sick. This is the literal first time I've been motion sick in a VR game. While this game is pretty interesting and fun for a rogue like, it's really hard to have fun if you feel like you're going to vomit. I might try this game again if they fix the movement system, but until then, just don't bother.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a review rewrite. After buying the game and playing one time I had an issue loading back into the game the next day. I contacted the Dev and they got back to me quickly. Great support on the devs part as well as a great game if you like the rogue style dungeon crawl genera. I would suggest this game 10/10 and I hope to see more content added in the future. All in all the game played very well and I loads fun, managed to make it to stage three before dying and I do enjoy the challenge…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →too slow and underwhelming for my liking, was fun for the first half hour and t hen it felt like ive seen everything.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game engine is not well optimized, can notice a lot of stutter, unlike Compound which runs butter smooth. Also, gameplay is very lackluster compared to a game like Compound.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun rogue-like dungeon crawler with voxel graphics. Played well. It's a challenge to build up your stats so that you can take on more baddies, but progress was steady and never felt overwhelming. Graphics reminded me of the original Bard's Tale, for some reason. This is a complement. :) Building up stats was satisfying, and toward the end I essentially hit God mode where I could stand toe to toe to the boss and just rain down justice, laughing because just a time before I was kiting and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bit of an old review, have been meaning to get around to it. Game is a good start but for the price, not worth it right now, locomotion feels sluggish, definitely needs polish. Wait on it till it’s been updated. <edit> Locomotion issue was addressed promptly. This game is a retro endless dungeon crawler in VR. If that is your preference, you will be pleased. Multiplayer works well and gameplay is good for the genre. Most importantly the game is being actively developed and customer's needs…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too difficult. Monsters run up inside of you. Too many monsters. Blocking seems pointless. Melee weapons seem pointless. I cannot recommend this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is unplayable in MP You cannot create lobby or join someone. Game is pretty much non-functional at this point. Weird controls are clunky and annoying. Yes game is old but its not worth its price on any sale. Avoid this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Poorly optimized, jittery as hell, and it lags every time you activate the shield.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's pretty rare that I don't recommend games but why would you place the movement and turn controls on the opposite thumbstick as every other VR game out there? Why is it a hassle to change them back to normal? There's no way to confirm the changes to the controls. It keeps reverting back to the same stupid controls you guys did for whatever reason. Anyway I'm refunding this garbage.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like this game, its a lot of fun and a bit confusing if you skip the tutorial like I did. I'm not a big fan of how you move around in the game but you can get use to it. I do wish there was more weapon choices in the game that you start out with.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →range gameplay and shields are fun but swords could use some work or maybe i just dont personally like them they feel like the worst option though other than that great game good enemies and environments hopeing some better active and passive items come out though
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really wish there was a neutral option for reviewing, because the game isn't bad enough to not recommend but at the same time I don't really recommend it. For the most part there's nothing really game breaking that I've encountered, the only thing that really ruined the fun for me was when I got to the 4th level (snowy area) the first enemy I encountered was a snowman that broke into 3 smaller snowmen. Cool concept but the issue was how much of a bullet sponge it was and I'm pretty sure that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun game. Especially with friends. I haven't played it for very long, but the few issues I've encountered are: Vendor sometimes has 2+ items in 1 slot. Making text illegible. Sharing currency isn't awful, but It should be optional and not mandatory. There is (as far as I am aware) no information on how the currencies work. I bought a new weapon, and have no idea how to use it. Other than that, great game. Extremely underrated.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The biggest issue with this game is the price point per value. There's a lot of weapons to play with, but only 4 levels. The game's also not particularly hard either. Some weapon combos will get you killed, but really it's generally easy. More than anything, this shows just how amazingly the rogue genre fits with the VR medium. I'd love to see this team make a second game, but more along the content lines of say Rogue Legacy and Binding of Isaac. This just needs more content.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is amazing! Highly recommended :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is good but movement is annoying.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This has quickly become one of my favorite VR games along with Elite Dangerous and Moss. I've been playing this game multiplayer and it's an absolute pleasure. The combat works well, the music is joyful and catchy, the lighting is well done and the difficulty so far is just right. Going dual wield crossbows akimbo is so much fun, I feel like Van Helsing or Keanu Reeves! Also I love the boss rooms! This game doesnt need more players, but it DESERVES more players, it's criminally underrated. I…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Maybe worth less than $5, but a *very* rough experience
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is by far the most fun vr game my friend and i have had in a while
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun and small VR title that is visually pleasing and enjoyable with friends. It isn't too hard and definitely not a walk in the park. If I had to metaphorically describe it, I would say a bike ride on a rocky path. The only complaint I have is that I would not exactly consider the price at the time of this review to be fair.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game doesn't get the credit it deserves. It's got hundreds of collectibles, and even with it's Trove-like pixelization (idk if that's a word ot not) it's pretty immersive.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Picked this game up because I love Roguelikes, so when I saw someone made one for VR I grabbed it. It's a very simple dungeon crawler, but you can't go wrong with it since there's not enough Virtual Reality games like this. Here's some gameplay I did a while back. Keep in mind the version of the game has changed a lot since this video, but at least you can see it in action https://youtu.be/-Op0EtgQ8hA
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →had to refund, on the oculus rift i found the movement awful. half he time the game character was moving by itself without me pressing anything. Edit: Issues fixed, good little game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →EDIT: Developer contacted me with a free game key to try out all of the new features. They fixed every single issue I had experienced. While the game is not my bread and butter - it's extremely well created. The new locomotion options are fantastic. It's a really well created VR game. Old review: I hate to give a negative review, but unfortunately I did not enjoy this game for simple reasons: 1) Artificial locomotion is SLOW, especially compared to teleport. I felt like a snail and the game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have to say I really like this one, the appearence, the feel. It reminds me of a VR zelda almost with the hearts and items(without the overworld stuff of course..), which is a great feeling in VR. The game could use a tutorial, but things are not overly hard to figure out. The game is abit challenging at first so stick with it abit if your having any intial difficulty as in the long run I think youll find the game play worth it. I think multi player is really where this game will be the most…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really want to enjoy this game since I love dungeon crawlers and roguelikes. The graphics are nice, and there is a massive variety of items to unluck, but the underlying combat is extremely bland and simple. It's too easy to just teleport down a hallway and spam crossbow bolts at pursuing enemies until your eyes fall out. Melee combat is completely unviable as well, since melee enemies do so much damage and it doesn't look like the shield can deflect melee blows. It's a great concept,…
