60 of 180 · most liked firstDungeon Hearts is a match-3/RPG crossover that fails under its own ambitions of trying to recreate the wheel. It's bursting at the seams with original mechanics and a fresh take on match-3 games, but seemingly forgot to test if any of the ideas it presents actually add anything to the experience or makes for a game that's worth playing. It continually tries too hard to insert itself as something unique in a broad spectrum of derivative peers, that it forgets that the reason those games bare…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →for once, i don't think I agree with the negative reviews on steam. Although it is entirely possible that I came into this expecting a wreck when I saw most of the negative reviews. I feel like it's a pretty decent match 3 game. It tries to do something a little different and it feels very fast paced and keeps you on your toes. I weirdly like the music fairly good amount and it is satisfying to get big huge combos and chains on enemies. For 3 bucks (and I know it goes on sale waaaaaaaaay…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →IF YOU LIKE ARCADE-PUZZLE GAMES WITH HINTS OF RPG MECHANICS BUY THIS GAME Dungeon Hearts is a high octane puzzle games with a simple premise of matching colors. This concept is dragged in every single possible direction; it steadily develops as the game continues. Three circles make a diamond, which allows one of the 4 color-coded heroes to attack. Three diamonds make a super charged attack that clears the que. Every time a new type of puzzle piece is introduced the game stops to inform…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had alot of trouble playing with a mouse, would work better on a touch screen or a with a keyboard / gamepad. I have lots of frustration with "dropped clicks" where I try and click and drag a block but it doesn't register. This really hurts later on where things get quicker and more hectic. Game also doesn't play with with dual monitors on Linux. Centers the game resolution for 1 monitor in between both monitors ... you have to play it windowed and drag it onto one monitor or disconnect one…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Alright match 3 style game. I played for a few hours and thats all I need. Shapes scroll from right to left on screen and you need to move them around to make a match of 3 to form a jewel which you use to attack the monsters. After killing each boss you hav a match 3 of each color to level up the character of that color. I certain levels characters will unlock a power you can build up for to use. I felt like this game would be a lot better suited on a phone or tablet. I got annoyed and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I saw this game on the humblestore site for 50 cents so I figured I'd pick it up. At first I thought it would be a good game for my mom to play, since she's taken a recent interest in casual gaming, but I wanted to test it out first. It's actually a decent challenge, it took me a few tries to get to the final boss and even then I couldn't beat it (each time you fail you have to start over from the first level). It's not the greatest puzzle game and it definitely has some problems, for example…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Incredible frustrating and difficult game. As everybody is saying, the game is too difficult, even on Easy. I reached the last boss, and that's it. There's no way I can beat that, not with that speed, and with so many bad runes that gives effects like Life Steal, Heal, Freeze, and other things, all to make it impossible to finish the game. The game is clearly unbalanced. I have just one thing to say to the devs: Before you launch your game, play it, and see if YOU are able to beat it! I doubt.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Considering that I enjoyed 10,000,000 to a fair degree, I had reasonably high expectations when I heard Dungeon Hearts was a mixture of puzzle and role playing games as well. Much to my disappointment, I instead found myself bored to death within 20 minutes of starting. My biggest gripe with Dungeon Hearts overall is that the RPG elements feel very tacked-on and unnecessary. Character skills are poorly explained and feel clumsy to use due to generally poor interface design. Above all, there's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It gets so ridiculously complex with so many things to keep track of at an absurd speed that there's absolutely no way I can see myself getting into this any further.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm clicking not recommend, cuz there isn't a mixed option. My opinion of this game is more negative than postive, but maybe you'll like it. It's a match 3 puzzle game with RPG mechanics. You have 4 party members each with their own strengths that contribute to your total success. I'm a big fan of puzzle games and wanted to try it out. The game has nice music, and the mechanics are well done. The big problem this game suffers from is that it's a mouse game that was clearly designed for…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →On Linux, this game detects my resolution as 7040x1440, which is correct for my triple-monitor setup. However, the game will only render to one physical screen, so all I ever see is black and the very left of the game on the far right of one monitor. Setting windowed mode and resolution in prefs file does not help, as the game resets from Windowed to fullscreen as soon as it's started. Changes to the screenmanager resolution get immediately overwritten, so you can't even make it fit a single…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It truly is something that would once be considered an interesting mini-game. However, it is too quick to recommend to a casual gamer and not dynamic enough to be considered good game play. I wasn't entertained at all.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not saying this is the worst game I've ever played, but I AM saying that I have never ever hated a game quite this much. The so called "RPG element" is pretty much totally pointless, and I would say that it's not a puzzle game at all, since the only difficulty in the game is that you will be stressed out and not be able to make your moves in time - the moves themselves are more or less obvious. So, this is more of a reaction game. Which I guess could be fun if you're into that, but they…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have tried this game on and off for years and it's still just as frustrating as it was 3 computers ago. (My time played is a bit off, I have more hours from offline years ago). It starts out fine but then quickly becomes overwhelming. Once you start losing a round, you're pretty much screwed, even on easy; Especially if there's a health drain on a party member. You just can't move the mouse fast enough and the longer you play, the more crap is in your way. I love match 3 games and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Seems like it would be fun on a tablet, but it's not with a mouse. Just clumsy. Race to drag runes around... yet without a touch screen, the action moves too fast for you to create any satisfying combos.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Insanely difficult match 3 game. Dark Souls is nothing with this. Controls are unresponsive sometimes where every second is important and makes the game less enjoyable. I have to admit that the soundtrack is amazing, like you would expect in a fairy tale. Again, the controls are unresponsive especially if you want to remove the unecessary blocks makes the game more hectical than ever. There is no info popping up that the powerups are ready. Achievements dont work either i guess the developer…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Downloading this game what I thought was gonna be a quirky little “match-3 with a twist” kinda gig. Instead? I got a head-smashing throat choking piece of loitered early access candy crush but possibly far worse. The “twist”? four heroes glued to the left side of the screen like constipated action figures, while colored runes slither toward them like a gangbang of Skittles on cocaine. Each level? EXACTLY the same. Faster, messier, more cluttered than my browser history. In fact this game is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not really what I was expecting. I got this as part of a bundle, and well, it feels like an iphone or android game, and it's not really built for play on a computer. It was difficult and frustrating, and I gave up the ghost on it quick.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, this game isn't fun at all, just super stressful. It really would be a lot better on a touch screen, why does this have a PC port? With a mouse, it's just a mad scramble.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dungeons Hearts is a nice little match 3 game with a twist. You have 4 heroes on the left side of the screen, enemy in the center of a stream of shapes that flow and you have to match 3 of the same color to make a diamond, which you then click on to do damage to the enemy. Higher levels throw other things into the mix, such as skulls and curses. 6/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fast paced, challenging game that requires a fast mouse and a keen eyesight. 8/10 would recommend if you're ready for a struggle.

Of course i was on normal, then easy, and still with problems, but it is totally different, i love the air this games brings Along with beautiful OSTs A total different experience, it have those RPGs elements like from dungeon games as well: Orcs, Skeletons Dragons, Death mages with Black Robes, etc. And a party of a…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Definitely not worst game there is but I bet it is better to play it on the phone in short bursts when you have a time. It's interesting at first but gets quite repetitive and tedious after a while and it's harder to find a reason to play more.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a hidden gem that I managed to discover a couple of years ago, and I have only just gotten back into this game, but this game is deeply enjoyable. The combination of difficulty, gameplay, and the soundtrack is absolutely amazing and is definitely worth the money.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is great! Its easy to follow, but also has a challage that makes it fun and worth playing
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wayyy too difficult, even on Easy! D; It looks harmless enough, match jewels up just like Bejeweled, but with an RPG twist, right? I'm not the best gamer out there, but I can't even beat the first mini-boss in this game no matter how hard I try! And if you look at the achievement statistics, most other people who have the game haven't beat it either! And sometimes after using a special attack, there's no space left to move jewels, which is really sucky since we have to attack manually, but the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's a typing game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun as a touch screen game, annoying with mouse, dragging around blocks..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dungeon Hearts is a continuous stream of match three, with some spells and frantic shuffling. Easy to pick up, hard to get through all of the levels without dying. Abilities that you wind up to can help, and certainly if you play through the game enough times you can unlock various abilities with a store where you spend experience points to make your life a little easier. All in all a fairly fun, casual game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While I enjoy the concepts a lot I don't think this game is meant for a pc release, or even a console one. I see now that there is a version for touch devices and I think that's where it belongs. I say this because a majority of the gameplay involves moving different colored blocks around a DDR/Guitar Hero-esque track. You only have a limited time to make matchs (before they hit the end) and it gets very hectic very quickly. Mouse controls just don't work very well for this, and I think a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Incredibly fun and fast paced! An enjoyable quick game with cutesy bosses :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There needs to be a so-so maybe button. It's a fun game with great music and cute graffics, but the controls can be unresponsive. Sometimes I grab a peice and go to move it, but the game doesn't register and I have to click a few times. By that time the moment has passed and I need to get a new combo going. Some times I'll go to move a crystal to make a combo and accidently activate it, ruining my set up. If the control issues can be resolved, I'd recommend it, but for now, I'm Removing…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ok so people might be giving this a bad review but this game isn't meant to be played for long periods of time, which so people who bought this game have which might show. Since this game may have been ported over from a mobile device app it still is fun to play even for just 10-15mins. Even though the mouse draging in the game might be a bit annoying for some, I found it fun and some what quite interesting to play with as it keeps you going keeps you thinking too (well at least for me it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A neat idea that falls a bit flat with me. I enjoy a lot about it, but it would benefit from some progression and a mode where I am not forced to start over every time I die.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I know for the price I never should have expected much from the game but even at a price of .74, I don't feel like it's worth that. The idea is nice and it probably works better as a phone app but with mouse input that works sparadically and an endless stream of the same gameplay over and over, I don't know why anyone would want this as a computer game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An interesting concept and a match-3 game variation with decent music.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The dungeon heart beats in my chest like a broken TV - I’m a happy hostage of its lags and immortal monsters with no save.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Day 35, I’ve done the flat colors for the Chibi art of matchmaker Dungeon Hearts Vanora & Skeleton, I don’t remember if they say your avatars name during the game, witch is fitting as soon as your reanimated it’s stated they your memory is all gone #FanArt #Dragon #Skeleton #MatchmakerDungeonHeart
unlabelledView post →https://youtu.be/bKzSUFmNDGI Somewhere inside the end result there is a core design for a matching game with party based mechanics, but what is presented here is separate parts that don't congeal into something together.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thank goodness for colorblind mode. Dungeon Hearts looks like a rhythm game but it's actually a match 3 puzzle game and the scrolling is just a timer. You can easily see the age and/or limited budget of this game but that doesn't stand in the way of having a good time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Idk why this only has mixed reviews, it's been one of my go-to time waster games for years, just a fun polished 'match 3' puzzle game that deserves to be played by more people, and it's dirt cheap on sales (right now at the time of writing).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i wanted to like this game. I really did. I remeber playing it a while ago and found myself enjoying it. It is not the worst it looks ok and I think the idea behind it is cool. My biggest issue with this game is the fact that you have to use the mouse to drag and match everything up. I guess i'm not very good at the game because I can berely get through the first boss. It is a simple game but it is a lot harder then it looks when you are limited to just using the mouse and no you cannot change…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Difficulty ramp is WAY too steep and speeds up too quickly. Throws way too much at you within the first 10 minutes of play.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I dont get the fckin point in this game... is the any end of the "story" because in my first try i fought through the enemys to the boss and then wow... if u only fck one time up u already lost because of the items that are activating in the end i get a leaderboard and some highscore for 45min endless playtime when i played normal and there is a mode named endless wow im so done with this game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dungeon Hearts is a decent-enough cross between a RPG, a rhythm game, and a puzzler--but your patience may be tested by the ridiculous hoops this game puts you through. All modes of this game are a gauntlet where, in short order, you will find yourself swarmed by negative icons, straining to keep up with the pace. You earn a pittance of EXP during any of the modes, making progress a total chore. Also, for a musical game, there aren't many great tunes. The visuals are charming enough, and there…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite its cute graphics and bouncy music, this is a tough-as-nails game: even on the easiest difficulty level, you'll quickly find yourself hard-pressed to keep up with the tide of blocks being thrown at your heroes... But if you want even a chance at winning, you'd better! The game gets monumentally more difficult if you let even a single status effect block through: At best, one of your heroes will 'just' bleed health (possibly healing the enemy at the same time) - at worst, your…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Maybe if it was a phone or tablet game... Not really interested in playing this on my desktop and it looks like it was designed for a smaller screen and touch controls. The price is maybe right for that type of experience, but it's not something I was hoping for.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was fun for the first few levels. Then it just got tedious and repetitive. It seems like the board moves slowly, but you'll probably find, like I did, that it moves way too fast. And with no setting to change the pace, I probably won't be playing this game again.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simplistic puzzles, weird controls and samey combat make this not a thrilling experience.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The controls are terrible. I tired on both mouse and touch screen laptop. It doesn't matter how good you might actually be, 1/3 of the time the gem won't move when you want it to. Messes up the whole concept. No complaints about any other aspect of the game, but it is unplayable without responsiveness.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved it, couldn't put it down until I finished it. I am not the biggest fan of match3 games, but this is no ordinary match3 game, there are enough twists in the gameplay to make it stand out and keep you interested.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do I dislike this game? No. Can I recommend this game? No. This is one of those many instances where there is a great idea, with bad execution. If this was simply a "match three" type of game, mixed with combat I don't think the game would be so bad. It's the "rythm game" type of structure where everything is flying across the screen that ruins the gameplay. Not only are you trying to manage your own attacks and combos but juggling or preventing your enemies attacks make this a chore. If the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If I could delete this from my steam account, I would.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's like Tetris... kinda. But it's also kinda like an RPG. It's very slow and not very fun though. Unless you enjoy dragging and dropping shapes to make characters attack in fights that seem wholly forced I don't recommend getting this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →like everyone else says, feels very awkward playing with a mouse instead of a touchscreen
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No, this is not the game you want. The concept is ok but the controls do not work with a mouse. This game is made to play with touchscreen, i guess it would be good on a I0S platform but not on your pc... Sorry but even having paid 0.50$ for it is too much. Why sell a game that is not made to play on pc, you can make a few buck but then people will not trust the next game you try to sell to them. Pass it or play it on ipad/iphone. Im sure that on those platform it is a good game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dungeon Hearts has a lot of game potential but some of the design choices suck the fun out of the game. There's no control on Dungeon Hearts. Unlike like other match three games like the incredible PuzzleQuest I never felt incontrol of the action. Instead I felt like I SHOULD be in control of the action. The scrolling speed is too fast for one thing. Moveing the gems is maps to the mouse click and drag style and that's horribly inaccurate. By the time I've seen how to make a match the gems are…
